💖 — what was one of the greatest/happiest moments you’ve had in the rpc? 🖤 — what was one of the worst/most depressing moments you’ve had in the rpc? 😳 — what was your most embarrassing moment in the rpc?

In the ST rpc specifically, I would have to say when #EddieGate first happened and sparked some shenanigans a little more like what I used to love tumblr rp for. And it was just marvellous to behold. Now banter like that happens more frequently-- not a lot, just every now and then-- and it's helping me feel more confident in coming back to tumblr rp. There's been a lot of hoots and awesome threads too. I've missed it.

But it's been depressing to see how viciously people here will start lashing out over each other making stupid decisions because humans are stupid and programmed to find out by fucking around. I don't condemn people for being an asshole once in a while or having different comfort zones or fucking up even if they fuck up big time, and I don't understand why there cannot be middle ground between the Innocent and the Evil. More often than not neither of those things are real whatsoever. People are naive, suggestible, stubborn, and many more things. But every human being on the planet deserved to live a life they are happy to in which they love themselves. I'm tired of us all hurting each other when we could be coming together with and in spite of our differences.

As for an embarrassment, Iiiii am very slow to register folks to memory, esp like names etc, and I have mixed some folks up a couple times *hides face* I used to accidentally reply to threads on the wrong muse too GGJSKFKWLZBXV

Yeah I'm still Learning who everyone is,, it'll get there eventually

And no matter how many fat cats get sat, by how many cheeky Scots named Sam, it won’t change a damn…thing…Mrs. McGill, it has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Vile bodies

“While “Eddiegate” continues to be unpacked and theorized, one aspect of this SamCait debacle remains constant: “fans�� who can’t bear the though of Sam and Cait being together have shown how truly joyless, brainless, and vile they are. Not that we don’t know this but there it is. What harm is there to have a bit of fun with Sam-Eddie photo? The world is messy enough as it is and life is challenging enough on every level, so what harm is there to find joy in alternate spaces such as a fandom?”  said one prominent SFH

I find it fascinating to  read the blogs of the wilder shores of the Extreme Shippers and their companeros (or should that be companeras?).

 There are some among them whole existence appears to  dedicated to wallowing in personal misery (no doubt for good reason) and also in misandry (the unthinking denigration of almost the the entirety of the  male sex) ,  whilst at the same time thoroughly enjoying themselves with  their  condemnation of everyone connected with Outlander, be it the author, director, producer,writers, drivers, publicists, actors and actresses whose performance you don’t approve of. One might well call them joyless, since their relentless negativity  surely sucks all the joy out of being an Outlander fan.   

There are others who delight in using language vile and coarse, whose every other post appears to be  punctuated with lurid innuendo and the f-word in order to prove to themselves and their oleaginous supporters what BAMF’s they are. 

Then there are  those who forward the nastiest posts about Sam and Cait’s friends, and those who in the weeks and months after Cait’s declared engagement  strove to blacken her character and traduce her motives. Such bloggers, who swallowed their sisters’ every lie and half-truth about the relationship between Sam and Cait (whatever it is, or has been) , will never get over the fact that they allowed themselves to be duped and gulled by all those  carefully posed photos  and the fan service flirtation between Sam and Cait. Never. And they still want vengeance.

 Such posters often  shelter behind the words of a Convenient Anon. In fact I can think of one or two who seldom post anything at all unless they have found an anon who conveniently supports their point of view, but uses  words they themselves hesitate to use. 

Finally, we come to the brainless  Extreme Shippers,  the ones who swallowed whole the ‘receipts’, the conspiracy theories, the fuzzy photos, the whole lexicon of tin-hattery that appears nowadays with every TV fandom. These are the ones who pointed to Cait’s bulging puffa-jacket the other day and claimed she was pregnant! Thin as a rake, marathon running Caitriona Balfe was pregnant. Brainless indeed. 

As for the Sam and Eddie photo? I thought it was wonderful. Sam is very comfortable with Eddie, Eddie is clearly very comfortable with Sam. They are old friends. Close friends. Very close friends. Like Sam and Cait, perhaps. 

 In my experience cats love to sleep in the guest room, the one without its own TV for watching marathons and late night films, the one with  those impractical, expensive and delicate sheets that you keep for visiting members of your family, like mum and big sister, not the practical ones you use in your own bedroom, where you’d be afraid you might soil them......for example by spilling the soup your friend/boyfriend/partner/fiance (delete to taste)  has brought you when you’ve caught a cold on some rain-swept moor. 

What on earth  did you think I meant? Are you accusing me of innuendo? Never have I ever....

And yes, I still think Sam and Cait ought to be together.With Eddie as bridesmaid.  Sometimes, particularly recently,  I think Sam thinks so too. But what do I know? Hollyweird, as someone said.

@goldenoutlander You know I like people with guts, and you’ve got them. I applaud what you did and fully support you. I’m reblogging this for that reason and for the comments. LOGIC. I’ll do a separate post on my thoughts on Eddiegate, hahahaha in just a bit. That cat is the cutest though, isn’t she? She’s so fat and squishable and her face, so expressive. I love Eddie so much. 

I may regret this tweet. But I had to voice my opinion. Sometimes I wonder about Sam. Is he just clueless about what a tweet like this will cause. 🙄

Két koronázási ünnepséget is tartanak idén Pozsonyban

Két, egymással konkuráló rendezvénysorozattal is megemlékeznek júniusban Pozsonyban a magyar királyok, királynők és királynék egykoron ott zajló koronázásáról.

A merőben szokatlan helyzet oka, hogy a hagyományos koronázási rendezvényt a fővárosi önkormányzat idén nem támogatja, és annak időpontját „beelőzve” saját programot szervezett.

A Koronázási Pozsony nevű civil szervezet 2002 óta június utolsó hétvégéjén – Mária Terézia 1741. június 25-i megkoronázásának időpontjára emlékezve – minden évben megrendezi háromnapos koronázási ünnepségsorozatát. A rendezvénynek az annak idején Pozsonyban megkoronázott 18 magyar király, királynő és királyné újrakoronázása a központi eleme, csupán a koronás fő személye változik évről évre.

Az ünnepség Pozsony legsikeresebb nyári kulturális rendezvényének számít, közel százezer látogatót vonz a városba.

Miroslav Vetrík, a rendezvény főszervezője az ünnepség hétfői programismertető sajtótájékoztatóján elmondta: rendezvényükkel csaknem egy időben egy másik koronázási ünnepség is lesz Pozsonyban, ezt a hagyományos rendezvény támogatásától elálló fővárosi önkormányzat szervezi.

A Koronázási Ünnepség szervezői, akiknek kizárólagos szervezési jogát egy korábbi szerződés is rögzíti, bírósághoz fordultak az „egyértelmű törvénysértés” miatt, megelőző intézkedésként az önkormányzat rendezvényének felfüggesztését kérték és azonnali tárgyalásra szólították fel a fővárost, amely eddieg erre nem reagált. Bár nehéz megbecsülni, hogy az ügyben mikorra hozhat döntést a bíróság, aligha feltételezhető, hogy erre sor kerülne a hétvégéig, amikorra a főváros egyhetes rendezvényének kezdetét tervezik.

A Koronázási Ünnepséget az előző évadokban 30 ezer euróval (9,2 millió forinttal), az összköltségek csaknem felével támogatta a főváros – mondta el az MTI kérdésére Vetrík, aki szerint bár ezt az összeget nem sikerült pótolni, rendezvényüket megtartják. A sok kísérőrendezvénnyel – köztük ökörsütéssel, borfesztivállal, koronázási piaccal és egyebekkel – tarkított hagyományos koronázási ünnepségre június 23. és 25. között kerül sor, magát az „újrakoronázást” szombaton fél kettőtől tartják a pozsonyi jezsuita templomban, ahol ezúttal Mária Terézia édesanyjának, Erzsébet-Krisztina királynénak a koronázását elevenítik fel. A rendezvény részletes programja a www.korunovacie.sk honlapon érhető el.

A fővárosi önkormányzat koronázási rendezvénysorozata június 10-én kezdődik, részletes programja a www.bratislava.sk honlapon érhető el. Az egy héten át tartó rendezvény keretében egyebek mellett történelmi városnéző séták, kiállítások, koncertek lesznek. A főváros rendezvényén Mária Terézia „újrakoronázását” játsszák el június 17-én este hat órától a Duna ligetfalui oldalán lévő Tyrs rakparton.
