Hey! I know you’ve said you can’t imagine Edd and Eddy to get married or have kids but what do you think they would be like as parents? How about Ed and May?

sorry it took me so long to get to this one! i love some good adult eds discussion. this is a long'n.

so ed and may would be super cute as parents. i've seen lots of art with ed as a dad, and all of it melts my heart. he loves babies, guys. and he really would be a great dad. unconditionally loving and accepting, appropriately protective while encouraging his kids to be themselves and dream big.

and may would be a sweet mom. she's shown to also love babies, even if it's during a scene where she's tormenting jimmy a bit lol. anyway, also a very loving parent, cautiously encouraging, and accepting even if she doesn't always "get" it.

i think they'd be the cool parents, the ones that their kids' friends would be jealous of. and their kids are the type to wear halloween costumes out to run errands, and are allowed to dye their hair from a young age. like they're showing up with blue temp dye streaks on the first day of second grade. they probably own rats and tarantulas and lizards, etc. just a very "alt" family, for lack of a better word.

along with marriage, i don't see edd and eddy having kids, and haven't given much thought to what they'd be like as parents. i typically think of them as fun aunt eddy and boring but lovable uncle dee.

i feel like edd would be extremely hesitant to have a kid, being terrified that he'd fuck something up. and even if they did everything right, something could still go wrong, etc. his anxiety and ocd would be running rampant at the thought of being responsible for raising a whole ass human being. probably also sees it as ethically questionable and ecologically irresponsible. well unless they adopt.

eddy thinks owning a fish is too much responsibility, so it's hard to imagine him wanting a kid, but then again i think he's vain enough that he'd want to try and create an even mini-er version of himself. i do think he has a nurturing side as well though.

all that being said, if they did decide to have a kid, they'd likely be a bit older, like late 30s, possibly early 40s.

edd would agonize over everything, reading 'what to expect when you're expecting' despite not being pregnant, among dozens of other books on child development and psychology, parenting methods, genetics, etc. makes the baby listen to chopin and debussy and the like. all organic foods, purees them himself if he can, makes the kid's toys and clothes himself to have control over the quality and materials used. uses cloth diapers. and that's just in the infant stage.

eddy's of course more laid back, taking most of his advice from his mom, who smoked during her first pregnancy and was feeding eddy chef boyardee as soon as he could eat solid foods. he's adamant about exposing the baby to more culturally rich music, like the gap band and madonna. for sure helps design the clothes edd makes. lets be real, they're wearing matching outfits for all their family photos.

idk the idea of those two raising a tiny little baby is really amusing so i had to talk about that in more detail. but overall i do think they'd be good parents. the kid would have a good mix of stern but loving guidance and encouragement via edd, and fun, creativity and approachable openness with eddy. edd is doting, and a might be a bit of a helicopter parent if not for eddy frequently reminding him to chill out.

edd has a lot of parental trauma so i think he's the most interesting one to explore regarding this topic. ed does too, but i don't think he'd let it affect him as much. ed's mindset is that he's gonna be the best dad he can be and it's kind of left at that. edd on the other hand is going to attempt to calculate the exact number of hours of affection it takes to make a child feel loved lmao. i think, again, with eddy's help he'd loosen the reins a bit over time, but he's still gonna cry on the first day of school and insist on dropping off and picking the kid up from school every day to shield them from the horrors of the bus.

there's also the possibility that he'd end up being like his own parents :/ not that he'd leave sticky notes and be gone all the time, but that he might struggle to communicate with the child in a parental way, since he's not sure what that actually looks like in practice. there's only so much you can learn from a book, yknow. but that's where eddy comes in. his advice is to "just be normal", which is both extremely helpful and unhelpful at the same time.

eddy said himself, a little childhood trauma builds character, and that's not to say he'd expose his kid to fucked up shit on purpose, but that he's not gonna go out of his way to protect the kid from reality. very much the type not to overreact if the kid falls and scrapes their knee, or throws a tantrum. doesn't cover their ears to block out expletives. doesn't use euphemisms- which i don't think edd would do either. makes sure the kid can come to him about things that double daddy dee would have a panic attack about. and does expose their kid to all kinds of art and culture, and makes sure they aren't afraid to express themselves

one of their biggest arguments is about whether they'll tell the kid about santa. eddy says its harmless fun, edd believes it instills distrust and discourages critical thinking. eddy would probably win that one.

aaaaanyway i'm tired so i'm gonna shut up now, but yeah edd and eddy as parents is definitely an au worth exploring. it's not really for me, but i mean hey i might warm up to the idea eventually. there's this one really cute sketch by sweeteggy that makes me reevaluate my aversion every time i see it. forgive the shitty link, i can't find the original post.

He wants to be the only thing you can think about while writing, and distractions is just one way for him to do that.

If you do actually write a song about him, he's flaunting that shit around like cash.

And he can get a bit... jealous when others take his song and apply it to their own love lives. This is about him not some other stupid couple!!

He thinks your style is gloomy as shit. I'm talking like, so gloomy that he calls you “thunderstorm” because that's how angsty he thinks you are.

But if you were to dress him up, oh now he's in love with the style.

He'll 100% start indulging you in your angsty looks and your chokers and etc.

He wants to see you get dressed up in clothes he bought you, 1. Bc he thinks you look absolutely gorgeous. 2. Bc he's kinda possesive and will rub it in Edds stupid face.

Of course, if you also write music, he'll tease you about it like all the time.

...but that doesn't mean he doesn't listen to it. He does. On a regular biases. But he still teases you for your music.

And when you play him your songs, he'll quietly sit there and admire you. He'll watch with quiet intent while you go on playing another chord.

He genuinely loves seeing you play, but of course he'll call your playing “shitty”. But you see right through him. That bastard.

And if you write a song about him, get ready for that shit to be on loop, 100% volume blasting towards Edds house.

You honestly question how the neighbours haven't gone deaf yet due to Eduardo.

He'll rub it in Edds face that he has a song about him and how Edd doesn't and that makes him better than Edd.

And of course, he'll occasionally throw out a compliment about the way you look or how your music is actually good or whatever.

AU idea

Fack, I can't stop making AU's can I- But I got another AU, an Eddsworld one specifically, a superhero one specifically

I just love superheros alright-

It's one where the neighbors (including Todd) and the main boys, (including Tord) would be super heros, they have side rivalry's but they all have one goal, take down the big main villain

Edd: We all know Poweredd, no need to introduce him, but he also has telekinesis in this AU because it's funny to think about, and because I said so, he's the leader of his crew as always to stop Numero Uno and his team

Tom: He's basically the same- But he now uses his monster form to save people I guess??? IDK He does not really NEED much change for a super hero AU

Tord: He would probably have a wrestler-like name that sounds like it belongs to a villain to "sound cool" or whatever, like "The red destroyer" or "Skull smasher" or somth, but he has no powers of his own, his "power" is his giant robot which also counts as his suit, his robot's now dressed like an anime-magical-girl magical-girl wand and everything, you can STILL recognize it as "Tordbot" it's just dressed like an anime magical girl- Like just picture the Tordbot wearing something like this:

Nah I have a proper concept for him for this AU,

So he'd be called "Mirror Man" or "Mirror Justice" or- something to do with mirrors-

He now lives in like a "mirror world", how it works is like picture a gigantic invisible bubble in the real world, and it follows Matt everywhere and he lives in it, Matt is the only one in the mirror world who can touch and interact with things in the real world, he can also be seen unlike everything/everyone else who enters the mirror world but he can chose not to, if your in the mirror world you cannot directly be seen, you can only be seen in reflective surfaces like an actual mirror or a puddle or a shiny object, etc. etc. this applys to objects too and Matt can chose if this applies to him or not as well at anytime he wishes, you also cannot touch anything unless it is in the mirror world, say there is a book, you can see it but you wont be able to touch it unless Matt brings it into the mirror world but once it's in the mirror world everyone in the real world cannot see it or touch it, unless your Matt

I hope that was not confusing- That's the best I can describe it-

For his suit I'm thinking like a purple full body suit with maybe dress like features and it's purple and teal and has these mirrors on it, not a shit ton but a few here and there like maybe 3-4 on the whole suit and they're small mirrors

And I don't think he needs a suit since he's invisible to the naked eye in ghost form

You know the show Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts?

So in the series Kipo is like half mega mute well that's kind of my Todd in this AU

So like Kipo, Todd can turn his hands into these giant jaguar paws, he can gain the jaguar ears and listen with them he can just straight up turn into a fuggin godzilla sized jaguar with three tails and six legs and all that

So basically in a nutshell he steals her powers in this AU without "Stealing them" technically, like he has the same powers Kipo does

Todd just, does not use an alt identity, he wears his alt outfit he wears when adventuring (Literally the same outfit but he took his dress shirt off leaving only his tanktop under it-) but that's it- The others claim this is risky but Todd is like "Dude I can just crush the threat with my Jaguar paws it's fine"

His is a little wonky-

So Mark is one of those night heros that only appear at night, he's a werewolf and uses his wolf form as a super form leading to him to only show up at nights there is a full moon

his hero name could have something to do with wolfs or somth

And for his super suit/form just picture a buff ass blond wolf man in a ripped royal purple super suit :P

He also has fairy powers but he mostly only just uses the wings while instead shooting bad guys and beating them with the wand

So the main villain has powers of darkness and destruction, he can kill you with a simple spell and is heavily insane- He also has the ability to turn anyone into his little "Puppets" and pull the strings and make you do as he wishes easy he also hides in the shadows like a snake and plays this little "game" of his seeing the heros as his "puppets" on his quest for more power

OK SINCE I DELTETED THE EW MAGICAL BOY ART SINCE I WANNA REUPLOAD THEM ALL WHEN I DRAW EDD I’m just going to talk about the WAY old version of it called Tord the magical!

As the title says, it’s a weird as hell magical boy au about Tord (and the other boys) being magical boys! It’s weird as all living hell like all of my old Eddsworld fanfics bc I don't know what young me was on (if you want me to talk about them I will!)

highlights of it include

The fact that when their transformation trinket breaks, a demon pops up and tickles their feet, causing them to laugh and loose their soul, forcing them to wander forever

Tord, being the protag here, was the magic prince and was cool and hot and everyone loved him

Tom... was female I think (at least in my head???)? And was Tord’s love interest but when she died in the ending Tord went “fuck it” and married Edd?

Edd had been a magical boy since he was 11, and gave the other boys their magical trinkets and had a secret crush on Tord

Matt was a catboy who was later in the fic was subjected to the tickling and lost his soul

The Neighbors were like the rival team bc Edd killed Todd and they were like “hey!!! what the fuck!!!” and they did find a way to get his soul back but... since the demon that took his soul was killed by Tord and the others they couldn’t?

There was timeline and alternative dimension shit and one of the alt timeline Tords was a robot Tord everyone hated

There was an edgy oc named Nighttear Redmoon Magispel, who was Tord’s brother who wanted to marry Tom and become the magic king and take over the universe

There were apparently planned musical numbers

Also Tord looked like. this.

Little kiddies. (Grades 1-5) What color hair did you have? Very dark brown, almost black.

Did you wear glasses or have contacts? Yep, got glasses in the 3rd grade

Did you have braces? Nope

Did you go to pre-school or go straight to kindergarten? I went to pre-school for two years before kindergarten.

Out of grades 1-5, which one was the best for you? 2nd, for sure. I was at a 4-H school that year and everything was just better there - the kids, the curriculum, the teachers, the playground. Then I got moved to a hardcore, college preparatory school and everything went downhill.

Did you have a lot of friends, or just a couple? I had lots in 2nd grade, but when we moved to the city in 3rd grade I barely had any. I had maybe 1 or 2. 

What were your favorite shows? Spongebob, Sailor Moon, Powerpuff Girls, Ed Edd & Eddy, Dexter’s Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven, The Amanda Show, the list goes on and on....

What were your favorite movies? The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Life Sized (I was kind of obsessed with Lindsey Lohan, if you couldn’t tell)

Did you read Goosebumps? Rarely. If anything I read “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” more, which now that I’m adult I realize HOW FUCKED UP IT IS THAT THAT IS A CHILDREN’S BOOK.

What college were you considering? Ball State. Of course I ended up staying local. 

Did you get along with teachers, etc? For the most part. There were a few difficult ones.

Young Adults. (College years) What did you look like? I was SKINNYYYY when I graduated high school. I also had dyed my hair black, and had dark skin from tanning all the time. I also actually cared about my appearance back then and would constantly straighten my hair, do my make up, and pick out outfits.

When did you first move out of your parents’ house? Right when college started since I chose to stay in the dorms.

What college did you end up going to? UC.

What kind of music did you like? Don’t judge me, but I was really into Kesha, 3OH!3, and Katy Perry at that point. And DRAKE. I was obsessed with Drake. My music taste was kind of trash in college, but it went along with my lifestyle :) 

Did you like college? I loved it, up until junior year. Then it felt more like a prison.

How long were you there? (2 years, 4 years, mooore) Five years. I had to re-do my junior year because I became severely clinically depressed.

Careers. (Any time of your life) What was your first job? My first job ever was a cashier at Stein Mart, but my first “big girl job” was here at the hospital.

Did you like it? I really enjoyed it when I first started, but it started to wear on me after a while. The customers were all older, rich women and constantly had a bug up their butt. And some of the managers were awful.

Are you still there? Noo, I left that place after maybe 6 months.

What do you do now? I’m a research coordinator.

Do you like it? For the most part. I do a lot of different things at my job which is nice because it doesn’t ever get boring and I work flexible hours, but it can also be a bit unpredictable and unstructured which I don’t like. I also don’t get paid super well, so there’s that.

What do you want to do? I want to get MS in business psychology and do something in that field.

Odds and ends. Were you a loud baby or a quiet one? I was loud when I wasn’t being held or paid attention to. My mom said I was fine in public though. 

Did you collect anything growing up? Movie tickets and Chinese fortunes.

Do you still have anything from it? I kept a bunch of them in a memorabilia box.

What was your first IM screen name? liltashie92. DONT. JUDGE.

When did you first hear about Myspace? When I was in 7th grade.

Did you have a VF? (VampireFreaks.) Nope.

Do you party a lot? Rarely.

Did you? I did all throughout college, and the first year of being post-grad.

When did you get your first tattoo? Don’t have one.

Have you ever dyed your hair? I’m pretty much always dyeing it.

Did you study any languages (other than the one you were raised to speak)? Just Spanish.

Are you still into the things you were into when you were 12? Some of them. I mean, I took surveys like this then and I do them now, hahaha.

How about 15? Eh, yeah, I suppose. Honestly, I have more in common with my 12 year old self than my 15 year old self....

Do you listen to the same bands you did growing up? I do, every now and then. Currently, I have a thing for 70′s and 80′s music though.

Were your parents cool parents or were they strict? Strict. As in, I was never allowed to go to concerts unless they listened to the band first and approved it. 

Have you ever been in a car accident? Yes. Nothing major, although I did total my car in 2011.

What was your favorite food as a kid? It’s always been cheeseburgers.

What is it now? Cheeseburgers.

Von Anfang an,  hast du in diesem Hotel dein eigenes Personal. Sie oder er ist für dich verantwortlich, 24 Stunden am Tag!

Angefangen von der Erklärung des Hotels, der Suite und ihrer Einrichtungen wird Dir der Butler auch anbieten, Dein Gepäck auszupacken, zerknittertes aufbügeln zu lassen, und falls du bereits von einer anderen Destination kommst, wird gleich mal die Reinigung angerufen, welche die gebrauchten Stücke innerhalb von sechs Stunden wieder in Ordnung bringt.  Dein Butler ist immer verfügbar, wann immer du ihn brauchst. Du hast zu Hause etwas Wichtiges vergessen? Sie oder er wird sich beeilen, um es für Dich zu besorgen, informiert Dich über Veranstaltungen erledigt die Reservierungen in den Restaurants. Er organisiert einen Guide, der mit dir  durch die Wüste düst. Und mitten in der Nacht wirst du hungrig und hast einen furchtbaren Appetit auf schwedische  Köttbullar? Wir haben das jetzt nicht ausprobiert, aber ich bin sicher, dass der Butler diese für Dich auftreibt.

Ein Aufenthalt im Burj ist so aufregend und abenteuerlich wie eine Expedition durch einen unbekannten Dschungel. Es ist wirklich ein Dschungel. In unserer 360 qm Suite sind wir ständig auf der Suche nach einander. Das Beste ist, du rufst deinen Partner am Telefon an und fragst: “Wo bis denn du?” Und “wohooo!” Vergiss  ja nicht, wo du dein Handy gelassen hast. Es kann eine Zeit dauern, bis du es wieder findest.

Essen ist auch eine sehr tolle Sache. Die besten Chefkochs der Welt kümmern sich um Deine kulinarischen Bedürfnisse. Der Burj hat fünf verschiedene Restaurants, die man wählen kann. Entweder das Sahn Edd, oder du sitzt lieber vor einem riesigen Aquarium im Al Mahara, oder dir ist nach spektakulärer Aussicht? Dann gehe  ins Al Muntaha auf dem obersten Geschoss. Ja und dann gibt es noch das Al Iwan und das Junsui.

Das Geheimnis unter der Burka

Das SPA ist spektakulär – Frauen und Männer sind getrennt – das ist typisch arabisch. Ich traf sehr hübsche, lustige und freundliche Frauen im Spa, die alle wie Superstars gestylt waren, aber am Ende des Spa Aufenthalts, haben sie aber wieder ihre Burka übergeworfen! Jetzt ist ein zweites Geheimnis im Leben gelöst. Ich weiß schon, was unter einem schottischen Kilt ist – jetzt habe ich eine Idee, wie viel Schönheit sich unter einer einfachen Burka verbergen kann!

Unternehmungen in Dubai und Umgebung

Das Erste, was wir tun, wenn wir in eine unbekannte Stadt kommen, wir benutzen einen dieser Hop on Hop off Busse. Dies ist die beste Möglichkeit, einen ersten Überblick über die Gegend zu bekommen.

Es gibt viele Sightseeing-Möglichkeiten, die man unternehmen kann. Helikopterflüge, Tagesausflüge nach Abu Dhabi, aber ein absolutes Muss ist ein Aufenthalt in der Wüste! Und wenn es nur für einen Sonnenuntergang, ein Dinner unter Sternen, ein Ritt mit Kamelen oder mit dem  Jeep ist.

Im Bab al Shams hat man das ultimative Wüstenfeeling, jedoch mit jeglichem Komfort. Das Ressort gehört zu meinen absoluten Favoriten. Während man im Burj al Arab zwar exklusiver lebt, erlebt man hier die Natur und diese Weite ist herrlich!

 Wer immer noch nicht genug vom “Meer aus Sand” hat, bucht eine Übernachtung im Al Maha Desert Spa & Resort, die Perle der Wüste, nicht weit entfernt und herrlich zum chillen.  Jedes “Zelt” hat einen eigenen kleinen Pool, und von dort aus, einen genialen Blick über die Dünen.

Das Burj al Arab kannst du aber auch einfach nur  (kostenpflichtig) besichtigen.  Auch sehr schön, mit einem tollen Blick auf den Burj ist das Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Dort einchecken und die geniale Aussicht bei Nacht genießen, wenn das Hotel in allen Farben erstrahlt
