No Amazon, No Walmart, No Best Buy

Nowhere!

Do not spend money on:

Fast Food

Gas

Major Retailers

Do not use Credit or Debit Cards for non essential spending

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Only buy essentials of absolutely necessary

(Food, Medicine, Emergency Supplies)

If you must spend, ONLY support small, local businesses.

SPREAD THE MESSAGE

Talk about it, post about it, and document your actions that day!

WHY THIS MATTERS!

~ Corporations and banks only care about their bottom line.

~ If we disrupt the economy for just ONE day, it sends a powerful message.

~ If they don't listen (they wont) we make the next blackout longer (We will)

Just reminding everyone that there is a national economic blackout being planned for the 28th. If you want to participate, it's very simple, don't buy anything for the 24 hours on the 28th. If you can, avoid using entertainment or any large online platforms that get ads. Just avoid contributing to the economy. If you need to buy anything, try and avoid using a card, pay with cash.

I know this won't be possible for everyone. But your money and how you choose to contribute it is much more important than you know, and withholding money from large corporations sends a message. If anyone is curious to learn more, just look up National Economic Blackout and you'll find information.

I suggest you continue to vote with your money even after today. Money is the only thing big companies, billionaires, and politicians care about, and the working class constantly suffers because of the "profit over people" mentality of our society. It doesn't have to be this way. Please take today to rethink where your money is going and if it's worth continuing to support companies that are actively harming us. (spoiler: it's not!)

Reminder for Americans that Feb 28th is a 24-hour nationwide economic blackout! This blackout is to protest major corporations rolling back DEI initiatives. Do not spend money on the 28th from midnight to midnight. If you have to spend money then buy from small local businesses. I’ve heard about this boycott through several sources so I’m hoping it’ll be big (but it’ll be bigger if you tell people about it)!
