And now, let's start to talk about the #funny stuff, that I hope you could #like it! The Bianca's Moving Wings!!! For the realization of the #wings I have made a rigid frame with the dual function of supporting the #feathers and for the #mechanical #movement of the wings; in fact the wings can do up and down movements, or back and forth. The movement was made with four servomotors that are located on the back side. They wings were fixed using bolts to the aluminium bar, two servo on upper side give the “up and down” movement, whereas the other two servo on bottom side give the “back and forth” movement. Afterwards, I used about 300 feathers in order to make the wings and I finished with feather boa. Do you remember the wip video when I embellished the lace trim? Here's what it was! I introduced you the Bianca's little helpers!! Sakizo’s illustrations and circus are two of my favourite things, so I couldn't say no to making a costume that incorporated both! I had an idea about the show: recreate the magic of circus. what is the better of a bit of magic? The magicians are usual to pull a rabbit out from a hat, I thought that it would be a good idea, so I bought peluches and I customized them according to the Sakizou’s style. These puppies, or little helpers, come out from the "Magic boxes" on the Magician’s table. Wip continued I'm so proud of my fluffy ruffle skirt...Not since Katniss has there been such ruffle fabric...However...I wanted lots of slightly visible ruffles and a ridiculous explosion of delicious poof, so I decided that the only way to have a ruffled explosion was to create many ruffles. The "method" for having perfect ruffles requires a lot of machine sewing and is very time-consuming, so it is not probably the best method but it makes super fluffy ruffles and you have control over the gathering. I wanted to make each of my ruffles 120 inches long, which means that every length I was working with was 360 inches long. I wanted two inch ruffles which means I cut the strips 3 1/2 inches wide. At this point I did not know it yet, but I wanted to get 50 layers of ruffles strips of taffeta fabric. In total, it took about nine yards of material to cut out all the strips that I wanted. Afterwards, but a bit of first make the ruches, I coloured the strips one by one in order to recreate the perfect effect as shown in the picture of Bianca's skirt, with a light pink pastel for the fabric.
