So awhile back, my purse and a few other things got stolen, including my freya prayer/meditation beads. So I made new ones. It's not quite the same as the other ones, but I like these very much. I feel this captivates her warrior side and her motherly aspects with a touch of the Maiden.

🌞Solstice Wish Charm
Make a magical herb sachet that you can imbue with your wish this Midsummers' Eve. Traditionally these wishes were tossed into the sacred bonfire to be released.
Tumblr media
Supplies:
✨Needle
✨Yellow or Orange Thread
✨Yellow or Orange Cloth (2 pieces)
✨A Herb Mix of Chamomile and Calendula
Tumblr media
Instructions:
1. Cleanse your area, supplies, and yourself. Feel free to call in your guides, angels, deities etc. for protection.
2. Fill Your Supplies with Intention:
Hold the cloth bag in your hands and say out loud or to yourself, "to represent the sun."
Hold the needle and thread in your hands and say or think, "to hold the magic in place."
Place your hands over the herb mix or hold the plate/bowl in your hands and say or think, "Calendula to honor the sun and to add power to my wish. Chamomile to honor the sun and to keep my wish safe from harm."
3. Grab your needle and thread and sew together the 2 pieces of cloth to make a pouch (leave one side open).
4. Begin to fill the pouch with the herb mix. When done, sew the pouch shut.
Tumblr media
5. And your done! Place your Solstice Wish Bag somewhere safe. You can decorate a burlap bag to place your wish bag inside if you want.
6. When Litha arrives; hold your bag in your hands and fill it with your wish. Then throw your bag into a bonfire or fireplace. You can throw the burlap with the bag inside for an extra fiery display. Or keep the burlap and save it to hold your wish bag for next year.
Tumblr media
Tips:
⭐If you don't have access to a bonfire or fireplace; skip the cloth/bag steps, light a charcoal disk, place it in a heatproof container, and think of your wish as you add the herb mixture little by little onto the charcoal. When the herbs is all burned, thank the Sun and dispose of the herb/charcoal however you like.
⭐You can add other herbs to the bag if you want. Feel free to also add crystals, essential oils, etc.
⭐If you don't celebrate Litha use the wish bag for birthdays, new years, or any other occasions. Change the color of the cloth, use other herbs, change the intention, and use different colored thread.❤️

Things My Non-Witch Friends/Family Have Said To Me (Part 2)
“It looks like you have an apothecary”--My grandmother
“Are you making something for the faeries?”
“Do we have to go on a walk now?”
Me: *word vomits facts about candle colors*
My mother, a borderline witch and retired goth: That’s cool kiddo, i didn’t know that
“I hate you and those cards”
“Stop being cryptic you’re concerning me”
“Dude the answer these cards give is about as straight as you”
“did you know this was gonna happen or are you just a lucky asshole?”
“You left your rocks on the counter again”
*asks me tons of questions about my deities*--My little sister
“No I’m not giving you another jar”
“I don’t care how beautiful they are we don’t have room for more plants”
“Why the hell do you need to bake now?
*sees me looking longingly at candles* “No”
“Please put the book away”
“Can i help find flowers?”-- My little brother
“I don’t care how neat it looks we can’t afford it”
“How do you have this many jars?”
“Did...did you really spend a whole 3 hours organizing rocks?”

A lot of people can recall those odd childhood experiences that were actually some sort of magical, or spiritual moment (making potions, feeling the energies of where you were, divining by looking at the shapes of clouds, etc.), and I’m just curious, feel free to reblog with some of your own experiences, or to leave them in an ask. (Down below I have some of mine for anyone interested as well)
There was always something about big bodies of water -such as the great lakes, or the oceans- and forests that always called out to me as a kid, big bodies of water more-so. I used to think I was feeling the energy of every wave, every inch of water. It was as if my deities saw me in those settings and decided to let me indulge in being a part of the whole thing.
I also used to have this weird ability to see people’s best possible future. I was about six or seven when I could do it. I’d just sit there and look at the person, and go into some sort of dream state, and I’d see it. It was like I was sitting right there and I was actually watching it happen. I saw my best friend become a business woman, I saw a kid I barely knew get a scholarship for a popular college. I got scared the first couple of times and ended up pushing it so far down that I can’t access it anymore, but I never realized I shouldn’t have been scared of what I could have done.
I also had a couple of ghost experiences because I used to live in a haunted house, I never really did much about it until  I entered middle school and learned I could google about ghosts and magic. All I really did was end up letting a bad entity run around my house and strike one-sided conversation with any ghosts I saw. As you can tell, young me did not realize I could be in danger, and when I realized the thing in my house probably wasn’t nice I didn’t care because I wasn’t in the best living situation anyways.

Ancestor prayer/meditation beads.
So, as more of a norse pagan, ancestor veneration is an important aspect to the norse faith.
Ancestor veneration is a practice where you connect with your ancestoral line spiritually to worship and give thanks to the ancestors. They are also around you all the time helping to guide you.
Through ancestor veneration it's possible to heal family curses and trauma in the ancestor line. It is also helpful in protection. The ancestors can be a fierce force of protection in your life as well.
Norse practiotioners traditionally do not use meditation/prayer beads but I find them helpful in connecting spiritually with what ever entity they are made for. I am neurodiverse and I think tools like this help me to focus.
I have a set for freya as well but I've been wanting to make a set for my ancestors for over a year now. I finally made a set of beads. I also made a matching bracelet as a reminder that they are always there.
From what ive gathered from my family history there is alot of trauma in my ancestoral line. I am hoping I can help heal that and that's also why I made blue clay beads.
My aunt gave my mom a rose bush on Mother's Day a year before she died. Occasionally I'll pick from the bush and put those roses on my ancestor altar. The last time I did it, I saved the petals. So I ground them up and rolled them in polymer clay to make ancestor beads.
I like how these turned out and they are currently sitting on my ancestor altar with offerings so that they can be blessed by my ancestors.
Freyas beads were previously posted.

Me: I’m just going to wear a simple comfortable outfit to the doctor today
Also me: The outfit that I chose today represents the death tarot card. The skeleton shirt represents death and the floral pants represent life and rebirth. The death card is truly one of a new start after something has ended and transformations.

✨ Types of magick ✨
Elemental: This magick is practiced by honouring/acknowledging the elements: Water, Earth, Air, Fire and Spirit, and incorporating them into your spellwork. Those who practice elemental magick usually dedicate different areas of the altar to each element, and call upon them during spells and rituals.
Lunar: This type of magick honours the moon and it’s energy and phases. When practicing kind of magick most people prefer to work during the night hours rather than during the day.
Green: This is the practice of gathering plants, herbs and flowers and using them in herbal magick, this can be done by creating mixes/blends of different plants or primally using plants, herbs and flowers in spellwork.
Hedge: A type of magick oriented around more spiritual practice like astral projection, lucid dreaming, spiritwork and healing.
Kitchen: Magick that is worked specifically through kitchen tasks, such as herbal mixtures, brewing, baking, and cooking. This practice honours many aspects of the natural world; including herbs, flowers, crystals, fey, and the elements.
Cottage: Taking a step further from kitchen magick, this way of working is weaved into every day tasks around the house, including tasks for loved ones, such as cooking, cleaning etc.
Garden: Magick that is mostly, if not all herbal and botanical-related. A witch that practices garden magick will feel closely connected to earth and could be considered a green witch.
Crystal: Magick that works with stones and crystals. Many witches use this form of practice as it’s so reliable, as well as having a vast range of crystals with even wider range of properties to choose from, wether it’s using crystals in healing techniques or chakra balance and crystal meditation, they have so many magickal uses to try!
Faery/Fey: ! DO NOT TRY THIS AS A BABY WITCH ! This Magick is based around the fae and faeries, and the communication with them during spells and rituals.
Chaos: A form of magick using new, non-traditional methods, in which the practitioner push their will and intention through the universe. It’s a very new and individualistic practice, with may fragments from other common forms of magick. Sigils would fall under this category.
Bone: This magick involves collecting and use animal bones in practice.
Grey: A neutral practice, witches that work with grey magick neither benefits or harms others. Grey magick may also both harm and benefit at the same time, balancing and neutralizing.
Space: Magick that involves working with the planets and stars, by focusing their magick and incorporating properties of each/ planet(s).
Divination: This magickal practice involves using tools to be able to predict the future, ask questions and receive guidance. Tools incude: tarot, pendulum, wax readings etc.
Dream work: This magick involves keeping a ‘dream diary’, in which you can study your dreams to gain better perspective, not only in a psychological sense but in a psychic one too.
Spirit work: Those who practice spirit work talk to spirits to help find guidance, usually though tools. This can be partially helpful for those who work with Deities.
Shadow work: Shadow work is the magickal process of exploring your inner darkness, or ‘shadow self’. This practice uncovers all the repressed traumas, and helps you find a brighter path to enlightenment.
