Gijinka (萌え擬人化) known in English as Moe Anthropomorphism refers to the artistic trend of designing characters based off of inanimate subjects. Creating simple yet eye-catching designs, sporting symbols of what they humanise, Gijinkas usually take the form of cute girls although there exist masculine Gijinkas.

The phenomenon, tied to otaku culture, saw popularity on Japanese forums, notably 2Channel in the early 2000s, although some examples of personified electronics in particular can be traced to the late 90s. On our side of the internet, the trend was also popular on 4chan where such characters were appreciated and even created (Ebola-chan being a popular example)

I’m almost Upstate, but I think I’m being dragged back into the Yandere simulator fandom solely by people redesigning the rivals and some of the more popular non-rival characters (along with Ayano, Taro and Rioba)

And the reason I’m getting dragged back in it’s because I wanna take my own shot at rewriting the story and doing redesigns, especially because I remembered that the basu sister and “Ebola Chan” are some of my favorite characters designwise, and no one has been tackling them

Like, I have experience making characters for it. Where my first two OCs for the game terrible? Yes I came up with a whole new club and named the two girls morning glory and moonflower (both of them literally had the Japanese word for flower as their last name, and the girl who I named after a morning glory was improperly spelled & I use that as my handle for so many things outside of Tumblr.)

I never thought I’d get dragged back into the phantom after seeing all those videos going over what Yandere dev did, but here I am right now contemplating a whole rewrite for the game which has Ayano & Oka as best friends)

The 4chan-Tumblr War of 2014 involves witchblrs and /pol/ meme magicians cursing each other to death over TCP/IP before keeling over from K-Syndrome Dementia. That alt-right frog god Pepe threatens to achieve sentience and has to be put down by External Assets. the reason we see so little of how the world has changed in the last few books is because it’s currently a whack-a-mole of ignorant fools causing chaos with barely understood magic and we can’t have a Dark, Dramatic story like Index if we have to pan to the people who are beating up Ebola-Chan in the background

no because that's boring. if we're saying that macbeth cannot die unless intentionally killed (we are saying that.) presumably these personifications would not be strangling him they'd be using disease powers. also all of those killed lots and lots of real people and this is a silly tournament for fictional characters.

Hey gang!!

Apologies for the lack of posting. Life got me good busy. Had to put off drawing for a good month or more by now since i got myself so caught up with other things; hate to admit it.

So what have i done?? I wrote an Ebola-Chan wikia with everything i learned to discover and let me tell you - there is an insane rabbit hole and i hope to note all of it soon enough down.

Thanks for the patience! TL;DR i am still alive !! and don't worry i don't forget about Tumblr. I keep getting almost daily reminders on my phone to guilt trip me about the fact i haven't posted in almost two months.

With that said, i had the pleasure to become buddy-buddy with numerous people involved in all-things Ebola in 2014 so believe that the fam is still out there even though they don't really talk to each other anymore.

Except for Maple-Mocha. No one knows where he went and he is still invisible since January 2015. Even the contact info in the Virusu Shoujo development documents from 2014 i have been granted access to is absent from him in specific; stating he's a silent assassin. No chance he'll ever be found again, lmfao.

Sorry for that crap i've made, like i don't find any positive representation of demons problematic, i just can't understand the hypocrisy like, i hate that damn cliché of if demon lords are 'cute girls' because for me it reminds me of moe morphism (i hate that thing too because they created that abominations called corona chan, ebola chan etc...), and Making Fiends and Hooray for Hell has a better representation of what is demon and hell than My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Highschool DXD, Ishuzoku Reviewers, Seven Deadly Sins, Nanatsu no Taizai, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Cucktaker, Hazbin Brothel/Helluva Shit and pop culture itself.

Here's the proof of my point:

The fiends look more biblically acurrated designs of demons than how media portrays them.

I hate how Helltaker misrepresents the deadly sins, Cerberus, Baphomet and the hell and people praise it even though it's the same shit as Hazbin Brothel and Helluva Shit, while Hooray for Hell is a better representation of what is hell.
