Forgot to post the Czech designed Easter eggs:) These eggs are traditionally known in Czech culture as kraslice, which means embellished egg. A centuries old art form designed use beeswax pens and natural dyes, I recreated a few of the designs using markers and pencil in the absence of a beeswax pen. Easter Egg Designs

This Easter, we wanted to step up our game with creative Easter egg designs!  It’s fun and easy to do and will give your eggs a one of a kind look that you can customize with different shapes and colors.

For this craft you will need:

-Easter egg dye (I bought mine at the dollar store)

-Scissors or a crafty punch (a crafty punch will save you time and add extra detail)

-Clear d-c-fix contact paper

-Boiled eggs (boil for 12 minutes, no cracks, works for me!)

Let’s begin!

Trace and cut out any design of your choice.  I decided on polkadots, hearts, and a cute little chickie.  Place the designs on the eggs.  Make sure to smooth out the contact paper to get rid of any bubbles or ripples.

Follow the instructions on the dye kit and begin placing the eggs in the dye.  The longer you leave the egg in the dye the darker the color will be.  If you would like your eggs to be more of a pastel color, be watchful of the time and be sure take them out when they have reached the desired color.  After removing the egg,  make sure the eggs are dry before removing the contact paper.

And there you have it!! A fun and easy craft that will add detail to you Easter decor!
