tried to watch one (1) episode of utena and ended up on an hour-and-a-half journey of saving sheet music for absolute destiny apocalypse (stairs song), getting the key of the song from my partner, learning how naturals work, relearning how to sight read sheet music, finding a virtual piano (I cannot play piano) to figure out harmonies in the soprano line, attempting to pronounce japanese and also sing the obscenely fast tongue twister last thirty seconds
anyway I eventually got through the episode and also have fun with adhd,,
#surprisingly i can hit the high notes pretty well. like i have a high singing voice (soprano 1) but i am years out of prqctice#and of course don't do daily vocal warmups during the week. so i'm p happy with that!!#anyway yeah it was really fun i have the sheet music bc even though i learn songs just by. singinf along? i thought this would be a sort of#easier song to sightread. and i was RIGHT#ragu brand pasta sauce#rgu

November 16th, 2024 - vivid/stasis, ONGEKI, maimai, DJMAX Technika, CHUNITHM, EZ2AC, DDR A3
this past week has seriously been the most stressful and depressing of my life. i've felt horrible day and night, unable to get up and unable to function as i once did, and it's been really damn hard to hide my emotions from people, i really don't know what to do... but it's the weekend now, it's supposed to be time to relax, and so i have to keep my cool and distract myself in spite of the obstacles via my little games that i've always played, past and present .
i'm getting into the endgame of tamasatchi now, and so i have to really grind out tickets due to how long the shop cooldown lasts -- where the only alternative method is to clear boundary shatter songs with gauges. the shortest of them is grode (DJ HOE SCARER REMIX) (or grodescarer for short), so i grinded it out as much as possible and ended up getting a MAX-10 AC on it!! solid potential 13+ or so should it have been a regular chart, though it's kinda hard to judge given the length w
but alas! these two scores were not but a highlight of my warmup for the day, as i was instead preparing most for the real deal that day... GAMECENTER!!! their first meeting in weeks, i was super hype this time around to go as early as i could and make the most of the game selection there... but i ended up going a little late as i was still recovering emotionally by the time i woke up fairly late. it really is a struggle that i hope would've passed by now but . gah . i don't know what to do anymore, just look at these scores and hope i'm not as doomy and gloomy next time. sorry 'bout that.
maimai actually was pretty good despite my condition . despite having gone 3 weeks without playing it, i could feel my improvement in accuracy and reading from last session carry over to this one beautifully . i played a ton of fun and hard charts across experts and masters, and with honestly great scores at that! i think i'm ready to pick right up from where i'm leaving off once maimai DX officially releases in the US, though i imagine that's not for another long while... in the meantime, i'll keep practicing and improving as much as i possibly can! highlights from this session specifically include a clear on raputa [Expert 13+], S-rank on Vampire [Master 11+], an AA on Baka Mitai [Master 13] (somehow), and an SSS FC on Rush-More [Expert 10+]!!!
while maimai was insanely cool and fun to play, i had my eyes on something more unique... something rarer and impossible to find out in the while nowadays. that's right baybeee, DJMAX TECHNIKA 3 IN THE FLESH!!!! MY FIRST TIME EVER LAYING EYES UPON A CAB, LET ALONE PLAYING ON ONE!!!! it's surreal... such an important and incredible game for its time, i'm so glad to be graced by its presence, and even gladder to have played through two sets on it! i'd like to say though... this game is HARD . i seriously don't know how to keep up with the rhythms and the timing windows, a touch-screen keysounded rhythm game is definitely a frightful combination of words in text, and even More frightening to actually play.
short chuni set!!! a few upscores here and there... naw but seriously, these are INSANE, like SS+ on Fracture Ray and an SS on ouroboros [Master 14+]??? wahoo, +0.02 !!!
the maimai scores are spread out super far apart since most of it was just waiting in the card queue for my turn every hour or so, so i'll just bunch them up here to make the rest of the scores easier to describe... during the sets, i managed to get a super cool AA on Scarlet Police [Master 13], an S rank on Got more raves? [Expert 12+], an insane near-SSS upscore (though just barely missing an FC) on The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku [Expert 12], a sightread FC on Haikei Doppelganger [Expert 12+], and raising my raputa [Expert 13+] up to AAA just before leaving...!
phew, okay, that's all the maimai out of the way... now it's time to showcase some of the other super cool games on display here, starting with.... EZ2AC: NIGHT TRAVELER!!! haven't played this version before, but it's definitely my favorite one of the series that i've seen... such a great aesthetic, and an incredible song selection to go along with it as well!!! definitely the peak of the latter half of the series' life... and just as hard as i remembered it, too! a bit too hard, mayhaps... but i already have EZ2ON for playing 5K only, i have to make the most of the 5K standard offered exclusively by the cab!
a very brief and spontaneous score in terms of DDR though... would've loved to get more, but i'm really not used to the pads of the X-era cab specifically... still a 980k on Glitter Flatter Scatter ain't bad at all! could def AAA this on a white cab given the chance...
and now, to conclude the scoredump... here's the last of the chuni scores i secured near the end of the session (minus one that's not really important because of the 30-image limit)!!! a near-SS on HERA [Master 14+], an SS on Oshama Scramble! (Cranky Remix) [WORLD'S END ?] of all things, a massive upscore to SS+ on DX Chouseinou Fullmetal Shoujo [Master 14] (and +0.01 PTT)... and to conclude, several unsuccessful SS+ attempts on Disruptor Array [Master 15]!!! i can feel it... it's so close, yet so far... may not be able to get it anytime soon, but i'd love to try again some other time!
BONUS: just as promised (and also just as requested by no one, really), here's a mostly-cut video of my absolutely incredible, absolutely beautiful 997k on Disruptor Array [Master 15]!!! ...you may now clap, thank you very much . after all, i sabotaged showing the EZ2AC video here just to show off my more beautiful (and blurrier + crustier) CHUNITHM AWESOME PLAY!!!

I have a university audition early next year. How can I be fully prepared for my audition? What should I be doing now to make sure I can get in?
Obviously, choose your repertoire sooner rather than later! Every university has their own requirements, so follow those. If the requirements are vague, here are some good rules of thumb:
Classical singers: include an English song, a foreign language song (Italian is a good choice, don't be afraid of the 24 Italian Songs and Arias!), and potentially a musical theater piece. If you need more songs, branch out into extra languages!
Musical theater singers: Choose songs from multiple eras. Also, as much as you love Wicked or Into the Woods or The Last Five Years or Next to Normal or Cats or Phantom of the Opera, those shows are heavily done. It's worth looking for less well-known shows.
Instrumentalists: You probably have to choose from a list of excerpts. It's not cheating to play excerpts you've already learned if the chance comes up! It's always better to play a simpler excerpt that you can absolutely nail than to choose the hardest one and maybe fumble it.
EVERYONE: Memorize your music holy shit please. Even if it's not required. Just do it. You have so much time right now! Memorize and everything will be so much easier!!
EVERYONE AGAIN: Choose pieces in contrasting styles. Happy/sad, upbeat/slow, funny/romantic/angry, etc. Show off your musicality and range!
Start practicing your rep carefully now and you're going to be so incredibly set.
Next, practice your sightreading. Lots of auditions include a short sightreading portion. It won't make or break your audition, but it will make your life easier in ensembles if you can sightread well. There are sightreading example books you can get to practice! (Instrumentalists, this isn't an audition tip, but a life tip: start learning how to sightsing simple melodies. Otherwise aural skills will be a bitch.)
Oh, also practice repeating melodies. At least in vocalist auditions, they'll play you little atonal ditties and you need to repeat them back as well as possible.
Instrumentalists, practice your long tones and scales. You should already be doing that, but it will come up in your auditions.
Finally, you can do your absolute best in an audition and still not get in. Even if you're an incredible prodigy, I still recommend auditioning for at least a few schools. There are basically infinite sopranos out there, ditto for violins and flutes and pianists. Oboes and bassoons and bass players, you're going to have less competition but schools also have fewer slots for you. Sometimes a school just won't have room and you won't get in. Auditioning multiple places gives you a better chance.
Space those audition out, too. I only applied to three grad schools, and I only got into one. Why? Because during the audition period for two of them, I had mono! And didn't realize it! (Before the plague, sometimes people shared drinks at parties and gave an entire dorm floor the same disease.) The one audition I did when healthy got me in no problem. Hedge your bets: apply to multiple schools.
You got this!

Morose Mononokean II 4 - 7 | Mob Psycho 100 II 4 - 7 | My Roommate is a Cat 4 - 6 | Double Decker! EX 1 | Egao no Daika 5 - 7 | Shield Hero 4 - 6 | Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka 4 - 6 | Royal Tutor movie
Morose Mononokean II 4
Aw, another little fuzzball to steal away my heart? I’m being spoiled, aren’t I?
For some reason, this episode was meant to be really emotional, but I felt pretty restless while watching it. Probably because I was thinking about playing Merc Storia all that time.
Mob Psycho 100 II 4
Didn’t expect Shinra to be back after his previous appearance…
Notably, you’d expect Matsuo’s name to have the kanji for “pine tree” in it, but it doesn’t - it has the kanji for “demon” and then one more.
I loved it when FLCL and SGRS went into manga mode, but for some reason, the transition into manga mode didn’t land as well here…hmm.
“I’ll go inside her…With an out-of-body experience.” - That sounds majorly wronggggggggggg, Mob, y’know? Even with context.
I find it interesting Mob perceives himself to be naked…as in, unguarded. He’s fine as he is and doesn’t need to change…in some ways, anyway. He could probably do with a few more emotions, but you get what I mean.
Wha-wha-wha-whoaaaaaaaaa. You mean, Mogami just got rid of Mob’s powers??? That is a nasty cliffhanger!
My Roommate is a Cat 4
Just seeing Hiroto near Kawase’s armpit…so unfazed…it’s kinda funny, but only mildly.
Tuxedo cat…ergh. The differences between American and British English never ceases to trip me up…I mean, the term makes sense…it’s just the differences between the types of English I’m annoyed at.
If you observe the OP, you’ll see Haru has that collar…I’m not sure if that’s meant to be a spoiler then…
Haru basically has the mindset of Kaguya and Shirogane, which makes this hilarious (and yet it’s still justified due to being a believable mindset for a stray!).
S-Smug dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get out of the way of Haru-chan!
Shield Hero 4
“Draw your swords!” – Wasn’t there a rule saying Naofumi can’t use a sword anyway? Plus, Motoyasu has a spear, not a sword…
Balloon? Now, that’s funny!
Using magic to intervene is the cowardly action, methinks, Myne.
I find it interesting Naofumi sees Raphtalia as a little girl – it’s a perception of vulnerability, potentially weakness – when things are shown through his perspective.
Falling Through Starlight is beautiful, y’know that? Be-a-uuuuuuuuuuu-t-i-ful!
Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka 4
Interestingly, Francine kinda looks like Mami (Madoka Magica).
Wait, is this woman Miura? (Sorry, I’m just wondering why Abigail – the blonde evil magical girl – would choose to use yakiniku to threaten people…)
Oh dear…it’s that train question (save one or save many).
Neding authority before you can actually do anything legal…now that sounds like Double Decker.
“Chef”? I was mortified when it came to the rusalka scene…but I think we already know why Povar is a chef…
CQC? Close quarters combat? Ooh, I’ve never heard it abbreviated before.
Well, I like how Povar and Rusalka Man (can’t spell Russian to save my life) always keep their salaries in mind. Makes them easier to see as evil.
Egao no Daika 5
Oh, this series has two moons? Kind of like Double Decker’s two suns, yeah?
I just realised Lily’s the only one with a skirt on her suit…
Morose Mononokean II 5
I don’t think I’ve seen a Fuzzy-centric episode ever since the first time we met the furball…
That hand on neck thing is apparently a CIA technique if I interpreted it right…just, it’s applied to a purple/white lion, so it’s hard to tell whether it’s the real thing…
Fluffy tadpole is best tadpole. All fluffy things are cute to me, even the lethal ones…I guess.
Seriously, if someone doesn’t call the animation of the Executive sakuga, I don’t know sakuga! That crow is some fancy animation!
Hanae’s mother is scarier than most youkai, given she can give me a nasty jump scare!
Mob Psycho II 5
This episode’s called Discord…which maks me think of the chat program of the same name…weird, huh?
Notably, it’s Dimple’s voice coming from Mob’s mouth…hmm.
That episode was real cool…it’s too bad by turning off the volume at the wrong time, I missed the Sajou no Hana song…
My Roommate is a Cat 5
Roku, Nana, Hachi…haha.
I noticed Haru has smaller eyes than Hachi…aside from the collar of course.
Aw…reunion too cute. I honestly think that this show has a fairly effective use of “filling in the gaps”, as it were, and thus making good use of cuts.
Double Decker! EX 1
Yep, we’re back with Double Decker!!! I’m glad to see it back, really.
Wait…ohhhhhhhhh. So Double Decker! doesn’t just refer to the bus in this show or the system. It means “2 Detectives” in Japanese (in a codeswitching sort of way). It was wordplay all along! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! I get it now!
This Deana assassin stuff must be a lie…
(after the commercial break) C’mon, Kirill, buddy. You’re drunk, y’know that, right…? Right??? Update: Oh, not drunk, dreaming. My mistake.
Oh, I was just saying that My Roommate is a Cat dos a nice job “filling in gaps”. Didn’t realise Double Decker did it as well. Also, how the heck is Doug unpopular with women???
So…Kirill actually got hired based on his feminine looks? Geesh, that Travis…
The thing I missed about this show was not being able to play the ED after an episode, so I’m glad to have it back!
Spec Ops Asuka 5
Having Kurumi fix up Nozomi’s arm kind of erases the consequences…but that’s what Kurumi’s for, right?
Barber Scissors…? Is this what happens when you take Kill la Kill way too seriously?
Wowee. Din’t think Sacchuu was capable of dealing nasty punches as well.
There’s gotta be some sort of parallel between Abigail and the queen vs Asuka and Kurumi…
Post-credits segment. Keep watching.
Shield Hero 5
Headbutt to the nuts! Oof!
When it comes to races, the one tune that comes to mind is one from the Dog Island (track 22 from this YouTube playlist).
I swear there was CGI during the race…on Filo.
Please don’t make jokes about Naofumi liking lolis, people. This is not that type of show…
Mononokean 6
Is it just me, or has this epiode been relying on the use of blue speech bubbles for humour more than normal?
It’s Mononokean: Sports Anime edition!
For some reason, I find the name “trashboat” hilarious. It was probably just “ponkotsu” (piece of trash) in practice, but the variation in English is really something to behold…
Ashiya sleeps like an old man, LOL. It must be cosy in that bed…
Moja is just adorable in whatever scene it appears in! Even Moja being dragged down a stream is cute~!
Relaxing your shoulders, huh? That reminds me that that’s a destress technique I haven’t used in a while. My head’s been spinning while I was trying to watch this episode, so I should probably get back to trying to do that stuff…after this episode, of course.
Price of Smiles 6
You think Spec Ops Asuka looks bad? Look at Price of Smiles melt in this “Yuni! You should recover!” scene.
For some reason, this one dude (I forget his name) being a father surprises me. He looks like the type to be single…
The female version of the name “Noel” is Noelle…get that right, people!
Layla’s right when she says one of the main causes of war is the struggle for resources and wealth.
Mob Psycho II 6
I noticed instead of a Mac or something, the computer is a “One” computer.
The board says something a lot more complicated than Saitama’s routine…which means One likes exercise. Maybe…probably.
“Codomo” phone, LOL.
The last time I heard of tofu in anime that I remember…was Boueibu. Something about Ryuu killing a man with tofu.
Somehow it didn’t occur to me until the eyecatch was over but the block…was tofu!
How do you even get drunk when there’s no alcohol in the drink??? (LOL)
Oh! Shinra again!
…Also Jodo Kirin!
Shield Hero 6
Naofumi is giving 0 f**ks about the dressmaker’s love of Filo.
Why is Filo CGI…? It looks unnerving, to be honest with you.
My Roommate is a Cat 6
Eleventh grade…16? 17? Heck, Yugo looks 27, not 17!
Notably, “Comic Polaris” is the name of the magazine that publishes the manga of this. Hence “Novels Polaris”.
Heck, Subaru. In the internet age in particular, people write to affect others. I should know, as someone who did just that just a few years ago!
Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine movie
Yay, we’re back! Crunchyroll bringing over movies is definitely increasing my workload for these commentaries, so with all the new things I’ve added to my lists of priorities as of late, I wonder if I can keep up…
Hitting us with CGI in the first minute of the movie…oh man, how far does CGI go these days???
Honestly, in my brain Wagner (Classicaloid) = the twins (this movie) = the Beppus (Boueibu LOVE! LOVE!). They’re very similar in terms of personality…
In the same way, Bruno = Schubert from Classicaloid (but swap one’s Sensei for the other’s Senpai).
Licht = Motz.
It seems like someone liked ponytail!Licht enough to keep him here. So it really wasn’t just me, huh?
Seriously, what’s this “God of War” stuff anyway???
Man, vocal exercises? This takes me back to my piano-playing days…I was a sightreader and only had to do one of the two (out of sightreading and vocal stuff), but there was someone else who had to do both.
This piano is bugging me. Its white keys are black and its black keys are white!
Somehow, Heine’s small top hat suits him. It’s probably because he wears a small beret in that same position usually.
More CGI background characters…*sigh*
Hmm…soft power at its finest(?)
Seriously though, why did that evil Duke guy appear in this movie again??? He has zero use plotwise. Sure, he was important in the first season and if we ever get a second he’ll be important there, but here? Nada!
Have you noticed Heine is in all those dance positions a girl would normally be in??? Hmm! Interesting! But still…if there’s one thing I ever missed from the anime’s experience, it would be-oh, scratch that! This is my cue to watch the cheesy live-action dance ending! I missed it so much!
Egao no Daika 7
Seriously…who is Eins talking to??? Whose emperor???
They still haven’t revealed what this new guy’s name is, even after his introduction…well, technically he was introduced at the River Deese, but we still didn’t learn his name then. (Did we?)
Spec Ops Asuka 6
Is Mia just this show’s version of Kyouko (from Madoka Magica, but American of course)???
Oooooookay, that (with the kissing and stuff) is so not what foreigners are like, people…
Oh, goodness. Have I really been living with this stuff (girl x girl teasing, with Kurumi in particular being one of the more extreme examples I’ve seen) in my magical girl anime for years now? I mean, Suite PreCure is laced with the stuff…
If ordinary rigor mortis business is at work, then I’d say the heater is to speed up the rotting of the corpse…
LOL, there’s Halloween-class…and then there’s Voorhees-class…how appropriate for Disas.
“Only one of the Magical Five would’ve known about that phrase.” – My bets are on Peipei, but we’ll find out for sure…someday.
Mononokean 7
As much as I found the pillow fight scene with Fuzzy in it funny, I swear Abeno is a bit too sadistic for my own good. What is it with some women and their sadistic kinks…?
Abeno calling Ashiya “hunk of junk” makes me think Ashiya isn’t much of a Sousuke (from Classicaloid), but they do have a lot of similar character traits, now that I think of it…hmm.
For some reason, I think Abeno knew the conditions of the deal and what the deal entailed in advance, hence the training camp.
Seiza…means sitting on the floor in the position Ashiya was in (knees to the floor etc).
Mob Psycho II 7
“Cheeseburger Tornado”, LOL.
When Reigen got angry at the TV, I was just like, “It’s Shield Hero (Mob Psycho version)!” I.e. you con the conman and not turn the conned into a conman…or something like that.
Those microphones are so obviously CGI, people…
I know I’m a fan of Yuzuru Tachikawa, but episode 5 actually didn’t do too much for me, to be honest (even though it was visual spectacle, which is Tachikawa’s strong suit). However, while episode 7 looked less punchy overall, it was miles better…
“First-press limited edition? That is the absolute best decision.” – What is that referring to??? Update: It’s referring to the BDs...or DVDs...or both.
Update: Forgot to add Double Decker to the title and tags.

Why You Should Learn to Read Music
As a continuation of my last article on PRACTICING EFFECTIVELY (you can read it here), I want to write about the art of reading music, which is another skill that I find very useful and beneficial to add to your practice regime.
Sightreading, or reading music in general, is a unique and difficult skill to master. You are essentially learning a new language by which I mean, you are making an effort in becoming literate in music by reading and writing and where you speak through your chosen instrument.
Not all musicians choose to learn to read music but they can be very effective at playing their instrument. It is not a prerequisite that you learn to read music (short of classical music) when you first start learning, but there are proven benefits to doing so. In this article, I will outline some of the distinguishing benefits of why you might want to learn to read and write music.
BY EAR OR NOT BY EAR
How cool would it be to go online, or if you are old school, to a store where sheet music is sold. Buy a piece of music you like, take it home, and instantly be able to start playing it. Wouldn’t that be gratifying and efficient in terms of learning a song? This is very possible if you just make small and conscious efforts as you are learning to play your instrument.
The other approach by which many musicians learn to play songs is by ear. This is a good skill to develop but less effective if you do not have certain knowledge or experience. This is because playing a piece of music by ear assumes you have learned some rudiments of music theory such as notes, chords, scales, etc. which in turn, you will translate to your instrument.
You will have had to learn these music theory basics earlier on so that you can comprehend what you hear in the song. So unless you have a lot of experience playing by ear, It can be tricky distinguishing all the various elements you hear in a recording and then being able to translate it to the instrument.
That being said, I believe there are other great benefits for learning to play by ear. One principle of which I am a big advocate of is EAR TRAINING. I will cover this fundamental music skill in a future article.
There is usually a trend among rhythm section musicians (guitar, bass, and drums primarily) where the desire to read and write music comes much later in their progress, If at all. This is probably due to the type of music rhythm section players initially gravitate to when they first start learning to play. Musical genres such as Rock n Roll, Blues, and Funk are (in my opinion) easier to grasp visually and by ear than on a sheet of paper.
I believe reading and writing music should be introduced early in a student’s lessons so at least they start to become familiar with its principles while at the same time, learning the more fun aspects of music. Students should start slow and steady and just work on digesting the basics of reading music, which is much of the same rudiments you should already be learning. The difference is being able to recognize it on paper.
WRITING MUSIC
Just as reading music has many benefits in the learning process, writing and transcribing music helps the brain visualize musical concepts in a way that just listening cannot.
Learning how to put notation to paper yields professional advantages such as the archival of musical ideas, writing instrument specific charts for band members, having shorter and more efficient rehearsals, alleviates all guessing and brain farts, having your music on paper that may be unavailable any other way, and many more.
Once again, reading and writing music should start at a pre-school level and over time be worked up to college level. There are no shortcuts and it is going to be a process. The same as when pre-school kids start learning to read and write the English language.
WHY READ
The practicality of being able to read and write music is most evident when used by the professional freelance musician. I would not hesitate to say that these skills are a “hard requirement” for the freelance musician if they want to be able to work in specific areas of music.
If you have aspirations of being a session musician - you will be required to read music.
If you want to play with orchestras - you will be required to read music.
If you want to play musicals - you will be required to read music.
Of course, there are exceptions to the rule but I believe these areas exemplify where you will need to be able to read music.
The most practical benefits...
DON’T DRIVE YOURSELF CRAZY
I’ll bet this has happened to many freelance musicians. You get called for a gig or to be a substitute on a gig and you have to learn 40 songs for the show in a week. YEEEOOOWWW!!!
Hhmmm… What to do… what to do...
The gig pays well, it will be a great opportunity and… it sounds like fun. Gotta do it right? But the only problem is learning the 40 SONGS. How would it look, even with cheat sheets, if you showed up on the gig and played half-assed, skating through the songs because you barely had time to even just listen to all of them.
I guarantee you, you will not look good even if the band sympathizes with how much time you actually had to work on the songs.
The answer to the problem is either, having a SUPER ear or, being able to write and read music.
It doesn’t matter if the music is bought or transcribed yourself. The music also doesn't have to be written at the Philharmonic level. I have gotten through many shows of this type with just clear enough notation of the music’s parts and form for me to play the song through effectively. Thus, ensuring smiles from the band as well as callbacks from the contractor for future gigs or sub positions.
This advice was taught to me by my own mentors back in the day and has served me well for a very long time and many, many gigs.
BUILD YOUR LIBRARY
The added benefit of having the music in written form is the fact that you may get called on to do the same song(s) for a different occasion, and believe me, this will happen very often. So, not only do you save considerable time by not having to scrutinize every song sent to you, If you have decent transcriptions, you can start curating a library of sheet music that you can use for many other gigs.
BRAIN FARTS
Unless I am really pressed for time, I like to write my charts with the intent that another player will be able to sub for me on occasion, using my chart. This means that the chart has to be comprehensive enough for another player to read effectively.
Another reason for writing comprehensive charts is keeping not only you on track with the song, but also keeping the band on track. I have been on shows where the band would get mess up due to someone’s brain fart and because of my chart, I was able to pull it back together before the song completely de-railed.
In this article, I have laid out just a few reasons why musicians (especially aspiring professional freelance musicians), should learn to read and write music and I know that It will take some dedication and work. But I believe the pros will definitely outweigh the cons and you will be a better musician for it.
