I honestly feel so fortunate for my position in the Mother fandom. I don’t post here as much as I’d like, but the Mothership Discord Server has become my pride and joy in a lot of ways. We have so many iconic fandom members and artists!! We have a great sense of community!! Every time someone new joins, I get excited that we have another friend.

The amount of people who have told me that they love my ideas, or I single-handedly made them love Teddy touches my heart so much 😭❤️

I was welcomed so warmly when I first joined the fandom; I hope I can do the same to other people, too.

WE'RE BACK!! 🌏🚀

Mother Odyssey has always been a project that I really enjoyed working on (even if I never found any use for it). I like creating stories, and the Mother series has always been something that inspired me to be more creative with the stories I liked to tell.

I haven't found a use for this project yet, but I'll continue sketching ideas based on what I've been enjoying lately, such as games, books, series and films that inspire me.

My goal was never to make Mother Odyssey a JRPG game, as I think there are already a lot of these ideas that are being executed very well and that I couldn't add. None of this will be paid for and is in no way intended for profit. I want you to know that I'm just a guy who really likes the Mother/Earthbound series, and who would like to contribute something to this small, but very united and active community.

I hope I can create something different for Mother Odyssey, and I'm counting on your help to give me ideas and more to share. Thank you very much and, if everything goes well, I'll see you soon!! ❤️

Boundless Determination (Ness vs Frisk)

A little piece of EarthBound / Starmen.net history that I participated in - the first public (and positive) acknowledgement by Nintendo that the fandom existed and not only that, was dedicated and passionate. My art appears just like I did back then: a blurry lurker in the margins - always present, but hard to make out.

It feels really good to finally do a big project, fully expressing my love for these games and the influence they’ve had on my art with “MOTHER,” She Wrote.

You can trace my rambling ascent from website-haunter to professional-EarthBound-person with appearances like hosting the Camp Fangamer documentary, being a talking head in Mother to Earth, and I’ve heard that an ancient interview with me is in the EarthBound, USA Blu-ray bonus features 😂🔍🛸

This isn't Halloween-related, but it is the last of our showrunner, @catblackard's, early EarthBound fan art from her Starmen.net days. This is envelope art from the 2007 EB Siege where, across several mediums, the EarthBound community stormed Nintendo of America with pleas to localize MOTHER 3. This culminated in some of the core staff of Starmen.net venturing to Nintendo of America headquarters to deliver this outpouring of fan love in person, as seen in this Nintendo Power article. (And in the bottom right of the photo, you can see Cat's illustration).

The vertical envelope illustration is of Paula casting PSI Thunder (you can see "PK Thunder" spelled out in the crackling lightning. It's a slight update of Cat's redesign of Paula from 2000/2001. The back of the envelope was all black save for the illustration of Mr. Saturn.

time to show my earthbound/mother 3 oc!!

Porky wanted to create a clone of Ness since he knew Ness would NEVER help him nor support his delusions (and he would have to timetravel once again when he was already installed in the Nowhere Islands). So he asked Andonuts to create a clone, and couldn't accept a "no" nor a "it won't come out as an adult" for an answer.

So "Nessie" (derogatory) was created, and since birth he has been the most loyal yet clumsy and naive soldier Porky has got. To Porky's dismay, he was born without PSI, so now he is stuck with this small, useless version of his former best friend. Yet, he can't get rid of him because he is a carbon copy of Ness and doesn't have the guts to do so. He just tolerates him. Nessie sees him as a fatherly figure even if he's mistreated by him.

As a matter of fact, he was the first human chimera (just his left arm) since he was used as a guinea pig before experimenting on the most promising subject (Claus). Also, his arm can produce fire and electricity as a sort of replacement for PSI.

but, yeah, he's small and just wants to impress Porky and show him that he can be even better than Ness. He won't have to remind him how bad of a copy he is anymore! He doesn't have to live behind Ness's shadow...

Relationship: Lucas/Poo

Several weeks had passed since what happened at the sauna and Lucas's mind is still on the prince. His toned, muscular body. The way it glisten with sweat after his workouts. The blond couldn't resist the temptation anymore. He needed to see it closer. Lucas had devised a plan to get both of them together; that would ultimately leave the prince without a shirt. His plan was simple, invite the prince to some more training but this time they'll end up in the bath together instead of the saunas. Lucas gathered his belongings and made his way to the dojo. Unlike last time, Poo insisted on going to this dojo. Lucky for Lucas, it also had a bathhouse. The blond could see it now. The prince inches away from his face; his body pressed against the blond. Though, what he got instead was Poo forcefully pushing on Lucas's back. The blond was doing different stretches and couldn't quite touch his toes; so the prince tried to help him with this but it didn't do much.

Poo kept trying different spots on Lucas's back. He started near the shoulders and worked his way down. Doing a mixture of light pushes and hard pushes. The prince managed to get the blond close to fully touching his toes, but he still had a ways to go. Once that was done, they both moved on and did different yoga poses. Crescent lunge, cat and cow pose, downward dog, bridge pose, and ending with child's pose. The prince, in an effort to show off his flexibly, also did the plow pose. After doing the different poses, Lucas showed off his specialty move to the prince. PK love.

Poo observed how the blond used his attack; something about it felt magical. He remembered how Ness used his special attack, PK rockin, and how intense it was. Though, after he got to know the two of them, it fit their personality. Ness was reckless and didn't know when to be quiet. While Lucas was calculated and spoke little. It fascinated the prince seeing how different these two are. He was grateful that Lucas had shown him this, but he needed to see more. This attack was unlike anything he's ever seen; he wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste.

Lucas continued to show off his special and the different ways he uses it. Going from an all out heavily offensive attack, to quick attacks that he can perform with just a snap of the fingers. It was truly a sight behold, and Poo loved every second of it. He was able to perform powerful attacks like this, but it wasn't unique. With the right teacher, anyone could learn PK starstorm. While this attack was distinctive to Lucas and his twin. Something they knew from birth. The prince was envious this. How two different people in his life had something special to them and he didn't. He's a prince after all. He should be able to do whatever he wishes.

The blond noticed how Poo was staring intensely at him. If he wanted, Lucas could attempt telepathy. He's been practicing it for some time now, but he wasn't very good at it. Plus, he didn't want to invade on the prince's privacy. It would be interesting to know what he's thinking. If he fancies the blond at all. If Lucas had a chance to get closer to him. He saunter to Poo, standing inches away from him. The blond wanted to know what he felt like. He wasn't the type of guy to just do it, though. He needed approval before touching another persons body. Lucas didn't say a word. He was to nervous to. How do you go about asking someone you're attracted to if you can touch them? The prince could tell that something was on the other's mind, but didn't get the signal as to what it was.

Before Lucas could make a fool out of himself, the prince motioned for him to follow. The two of them were headed to the bathhouse now and Lucas could feel his heart beating faster. Last time the two of them were here, he saw Poo's bare chest. Did he have something like that planned for the two of them again?

"Go relax by yourself for a bit; I need to finish something in the dojo. Once I finish up we'll head to your place." Poo said, pushing Lucas into the bathhouse.

The blond was left in confusion. Had the prince found out about his feelings? Is this his way of rejecting him? Lucas choose to follow the prince's words and tried to relax in the bath. Making his way to the edge of the bath; he began to take off his clothes, and neatly placed them on the floor. The blond dipped his toes in the water, feeling how much hotter it was than the chilly feeling in the air. He trudged to the opposite side of the bath before fully submerging his body in the water. The water felt nice against his skin, warm and comforting. Lucas soaked there for a couple of minutes, letting his body rest after all the stretches he did. He had completely forgotten his crush on the prince and all he felt was utter bliss. His thoughts were cut short after he heard the prince coming back.

"Finish up what you're doing. We have things to do and places to be." Poo said irritatedly.

Something was definitely bothering him, Lucas was sure of that, but didn't push more answers. The blond made his way back to the edge of the bath, slowly getting out of the water. He grabbed a nearby towel and quickly dried himself off before putting his clothes back on. The prince brushed his hand against Lucas's, softly gripping it. He lead the blond outside of the dojo and then used teleport to go back to Lucas's house. The blond took notice how they were still holding hands after arriving back home. Being lead to his room, the blond watched as Poo sat down on his bed, who was staring at him. The prince patted the spot next to him on the bed, waiting for Lucas to join him. He eagerly went beside him waiting to see what the prince wanted.

The prince placed his hand on Lucas's thigh, observing the reaction. The blond squirmed from the touch, trying not to show his excitement. The prince tried his luck and slid his hand up Lucas's thigh, getting near his crotch. Poo knew better than to take things too far. Such an unholy act will surly be looked down upon by his people. It isn't his fault who he loves, but he knew better than to let any of his people know. They'll look at him differently, possibly even get him exiled. Some secrets and meant to be taken to the grave and this just happens to be one of them.

The prince brought his face to the blond waiting to see what he does. Lucas caressed the others face, placing his thumb on his lip. The blond did a bold move placed his lips on the prince's, giving him a quick kiss. Poo took a liking to his boldness and pushed him down on the bed. Now that he was on top of the blond, the prince started to attack the other's neck with kisses. Lucas caressed his prince's chest, taking his top off in the process. The blond's fantasies were coming true. Being able to see the prince like this was great and he needed more, but he knew now wasn't the right time. While Lucas was enjoying himself, the two of them never really talked about what they are to each other. It's just their hormones doing all the work. Lucas reluctantly pushed the prince off of him. They need to discuss their relationship before doing anything else and both of them knew this. With the day coming to a close, they'll have to save this activity for another day.
