People still draw super Mario fanart despite the fact the game will be 40 years old next year.

Imagine if our interest had a 6 to 12 months expiring date. We wouldn't have gotten an Invader Zim movie, or the Shrek sequels.

And even if new stuff of your interest won't come out ever again, it's alright to make art about what you love!

I think people should do more stuff that makes them happy without worrying if its a popular thing to do or not.

Oftentimes people see someone evil draw ships and fan characters and instantly blame the fandom activities for the harm, instead of pointing to the real origin of the maliciousness! The person acting with the intent to harm others!

Normalize being creative so it's easier to recognize when a bad agent is affecting the fandom.

For example: A person headcanons Ness to be athletic, but at the same time they bully fat people.

You should criticize the person, not the act of making headcanons!

Direct your critiques the right way!

(also saying this as a Clausten shipper. The antis will critique the ship as if we weren't aware of how fucking IMPOSSIBLE it is. Look up any Clausten fanfic, every single one is set in an alternative universe because it is literally impossible for it to exist in canon. One of the characters is dead for fucks sake *laughing crying emoji*).

Hey can we like stop making "rules" for how to enjoy the mother series? I can understand some people might be mad their interpretation of a certain character isn't the same as everyone else's but who genuinely cares bro... It's fanon for a reason...

If you don't like something someone is making, block or ignore them. If they're actually a bad person though, that needs to be addressed. But some people are making others feel bad for thinking a certain way that isn't even hurting anyone.
