Is "sweet bean bun" a character type? Because it should be.
Like, they're not a cinnamon roll. But look at 'em. They're such a sweet li'l bean. Even if they're HUGE, they're a li'l bean, because they're so darn silly and sweet. They'll probably fucking atomize you if you cross them, or hurt their friends, or make fun of that disabled kid, or what have you. And that's part of them being sweet.
I feel like Goku is a perfect example of this. He's such a bean. Look at him. He's a himbo all-star. His near-and-dears are CONSTANTLY like, "Goku, nooooooooo" while he breaks off the leash and jumps over the fence and goes tearing ass after a truck, or a deer, or a bobcat, who fucking knows. And he'll probably come back muddy and stinky and covered in prickle-burrs and maybe barf up something unrecognizable on the carpet, grinning from ear to ear like, "Aw, shucks!" Because he's a sweet li'l bean.
And he'd fuckin' die for you. He HAS. MULTIPLE TIMES. And he'd do it again! Because he's a sweet bean bun, and he'll go absolute HAM salad sandwiches on some asshole who tries to hurt his friends and family. Or like...the entire planet. Without question. Already pulling at that leash like, "...squirrel? SQUIRREL? TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!"
馃槀馃槀馃槀 I fucking love him. Sweet bean bun.

piccolo/raditz height scaling - likely fairly accurate; raditz is appx 6'3" and piccolo is FUCKENNG. 7' GODDAMN 5" dat boi is fucken toooool, and i feel like that rarely if ever comes across in the animated scenes.
goku/raditz height scaling - A TRAVESTY. GET IT OFF MY SCREEN. goku is 5'9" he is earth's mightiest hero he is A Guy, Some Guy, he is in line at a coffee shop taking too long to look at the menu and one of his shoes is a little untied and he said 'macchiato' wrong and i LOVE HIM he would die for you and me and that bird over there but he is NOT. GODDAMN BROW-HIGH. TO RADITZ.
thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Just let women be evil 馃槇

Been seeing some discussion around how the Netflix Avatar made some changes to Azula and tried to paint her in a less evil light and more as some poor child that got manipulated by her dad to be the monster she would eventually become.
And that's... Honestly a little lame imo.
Azula being a heartless monster was one of the many cool things about her, but now it feels like we're giving credit to her dad instead.
Like, she was the golden child, but she wasn't daddy's little submissive pet. A lot of what she did, she did it not because "she wanted to please daddy" but because she's just a little sh*t. Heck, she even manipulates her own father at one point, making him think Zuko killed the Avatar so she wouldn't get any blame when it was revealed he was still alive.
Ozai was the final boss, but Azula is basically the face of the show when it comes to villains. She was the bane of everyone's existence.
Having nuance and layers is nice, but sometimes I just want a lady who just loves being evil for the pettiest of reasons like wanting power, being salty for not getting what she wanted, or just because it's in her sadistic nature.
And, yeah, we have cases like Demona who you could argue is a victim of the circumstances she's in, or, again, Azula, who was practically raised to be evil, but you can't deny they clearly enjoy being bad and doing bad things to others.
Let women just be evil, and let them own their evilness.

This episode was my favorite one of the entire series so far. Not only did we got a 80's version of the Avengers, but we got one of my favorite tropes to happen on screen:

Emperor Stark episode has great characterization of Tony and Stevetony moments. I love how Tony is a man who always try to fight his own control freak nature to be a good man, and Steve believes in him even more than himself.

You know what I've never really thought about in depth or really just acknowledge at all
Is that my favourite hero as a child was Hawkeye. I fucking love him
Ever since I was little and I watches Earth's Mightiest Hero's (if you've seen that you are a real one) and I loved him
It really annoys me when he gets shit from the fandom for being the useless Avenger because the MCU didn't give him any of his awesome backstory or powers. The make him seem powerless he isn't as completely useless as they make him out to be. He isn't just some guy with a bow.
He has acute sense and pin point vision. He is expert acrobat (from his time in the circus which the didn't reference at all in the MCU) and is a military trained combatant - like Bucky and Steve. He is also a master assassin (which the touched on in the beginning of Endgame and Hawkeye)
Give my boy the respect he deserves! Like I didn't even realised how much I loved him until I remembered that year when I asked my parents to buy me a NERF bow and "arrows" for my birthday one year
How had I forgotten he was my favourite?
My poor purple boy.

Doodle sketches for @bluekat12345 because we are mutuals who love angst and EMH. I already did art of Thor and Hulk so have the rest of the Avengers.
Please read her most recent fanfic: He's my son, not yours! One of the doodles is a scene in chapter 4.
Don't get mad at me for giving Graham a beard...

So I ran across an anecdote that the production crew on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes were made to pick between getting to use real guns or real Nazis in the flashbacks to World War 2, but not both. They decided on guns, and subbed in Hydra for the Nazis in every applicable discussion and depiction of the war. I get why they had to do this, but given the Hydra's ubiquity and advancement in the present day of the show, and the fact that much of the original Hydra leadership is still active, the overall effect is that they're arguably depicting an alternate history where World War 2 never decisively ended.
