The will is the emotional body. Intuition, gut feeling, inner knowing, and sense of perception are all directed by our will. When we look at the will to live, we are talking about desire to heal and recover. When we talk about willpower, we are expressing the desire and determination to do something. The first step of creating anything is desire, the next step is decision, and the next step is action. If we have lost our desire, we have lost our will. On any level of human experience, we can discover the places where we cannot seem to make decisions. Because we've been wounded in these areas, we've lost the desire to create or to take action regarding these personal issues, leaving us feeling helpless and hopeless. Human beings can lose parts of their will every time we experience trauma or loss and go numb. When we locate feelings that hold hopelessness in place, we have located an area of lost will. We can reclaim our lost will by feeling everything we blocked at the time of the incident, moving the feelings and letting go after we feel them fully.

This is humpday folks! I'm 48 hours post a tooth extraction, and sipping on herbal bitters to ensure my immune system is up and running, and of course to aid in the healing process.

I made a couple of 32-ounce jar infusions with combinations of elderberries, cloves, and pau d'arco — 2 tablespoons of each. I ground my cloves down a bit.

I'm still so amazed at how far medicine has come for trans people... being able to take hormones and get surgeries that are life-saving and life-affirming are genuinely such amazing feats and I wish more people understood that. Like, even if those aspects of transition do not appeal to every trans person, it is still so important to recognize just how important it is that trans people have options.
