I used to work at Eanda Pxpress and being the only Asian worker in the restaurant, my coworkers and management thought it would fun to randomly bow to me because they thought “that’s how Asians say hello”. I told them that’s not entirely true and they don’t just randomly bow for no reason. It holds value, so you don’t just bow to anyone whenever you want, and doing so it’s actually quite rude. Of course they didn’t want to hear that and just kept doing that, sometimes in front of customers, which put myself and the customer in an awkward position. After experiencing other types of discrimination, I got out of there as soon as I could, but every time I pass a chain, it makes me so angry. I always discourage others from eating there because of my experience, but it’s sad to see a lot of people not caring even when they’re Asian too just because they think the food is good

Thunderstorm

You woke up to the sound of the clouds rumbling outside your window, you closed your eyes tightly and curled up further into your blankets, cursing your luck as Wanda was staying the night which meant you had to stay in your own room, not with Natasha. These were the moments where you hated being just a 'sugar baby' to Natasha, always feeling inferior to Wanda. No wonder you disliked her, the brunette had singlehandedly messed up with your entire world. You put the blanket over your head when another lightning strike followed by the loud noise of clouds rumbling. Your heart hammered against your chest but you stayed put hoping for it to go away soon.

After few minutes of tossing and turning, you decided to get up and get some water, all the while thinking about how you regret staying the night, you could be in your own apartment and even had your iPod to blast some music. Herewith your phone dead, there was hardly anything you could do. You jumped up and almost dropped the glass when a particularly loud rumbling of cloud was heard, "Fuck.." You muttered and looked outside the window seeing the dark clouds covering the sky with no plans of going anytime soon.

You decided then and there that you would get Natasha in your room, Wanda must be sleeping by now and if your plan succeeded then the brunette won't even know it until the next morning. With your newfound determination, you went up to their room, softly and quietly knocking once before entering, your movements halting immediately when you Wanda leaning against the headboard with a book in her hands and reading glasses on.

You watched as Wanda dropped her book and looked over at you, "What's wrong, Y/N?" Wanda asked before sitting up, she must have noticed the fear on your features as her face softened, "Everything okay, Sweetheart?" You did not want to cry but her soft voice paired up with your anxiety and a need for gentleness had you crying instantly, it was like you wanted to hold back but the moment she used her honey soft voice it had you crumbling.

"What the...Sugar, what's wrong?" Wanda instantly got off the bed and in two long strides she was next to you, her arms wrapping around you instantly, holding your head to her chest, you felt her hand caress your hair. The nickname she would usually use to mock you felt like it was spoken with much care and softness, "Where is Natasha?" You asked sniffling into her chest, closing your eyes tightly when another loud rumble was heard, your hands shooting up to clutch Wanda's soft green gown.

"She had to leave for the office to retrieve some documents," Wanda replied and when she noticed the little jump in you at the sound and the way you latched onto her, it didn't take an expert to put two and two together, "I hate that she had to leave, the storm outside is killing me. The rumblings always unsettled me." Wanda further added and you nodded into her chest, slowly letting go of her gown and stepping back.

"You can't sleep either?" You asked quietly, looking over at the book Wanda was reading, "Yeah, the storms always unsettled me." Wanda answered with a soft smile playing on her lips, "Plus with Natasha gone, there is no way I can go back to sleep again, can you please stay with me for a while?" Wanda asked hopefully and you chewed your bottom lip, a part of you almost happy at the fact that you would not have to ask to stay with her.

You nodded slowly, eyes staying on Wanda who gave you a big smile, before moving forward and placing her hand on your shoulder as she led you toward the bed, "Do you also not like storms?" Wanda asked and you nodded quietly while getting into the bed and under the covers, a little hesitant at being so close to the woman who she hardly knew anything about apart from her being Natasha's girlfriend and constant pain in her life. It was very different from the usual bickering between her and Wanda always seem to do.

"Same. I hate them." Wanda added into the silence and you wished to let her know that you weren't quiet because you didn't like her, it was just you didn't feel like speaking at that moment, with so many things wondering in your mind. You couldn't form words at that moment. Though you wished to let her know that her voice was actually calming your beating heart. You formulated a light smile at her words and watched as she got into the bed next to you, fixing the blanket around you, her one hand draping over you as she pulled you closer, your eyes widening at the action. For the first time, you were glad for the sound of the rain tapping loudly outside otherwise the sound of of your rapid heartbeat would be the only thing filling the room.

Another rumbling of cloud outside made you jump and hold tighter onto Wanda who only pulled you closer, your head laid on her chest listening to her stable heartbeat, in the distressed state you failed to question her calm composure when she was supposed to hate storms too, "Shh, it is okay. It will pass soon." Wanda whispered to you in a gentle tone, her lips placing a kiss on your head as her hand gently ran through your hair, "You know what I do whenever my niece get too scared of storms? I sing for her and she feels better in no time. Do you want to try that, Sugar?"

"Yes, please." You whispered and closed your eyes, snuggling more into her, though in the very back of your mind, a voice kept reminding you that it was the same Wanda who would take up every opportunity to mess with you, rile you up and tease you. "Any special requests?" The older woman asked her fingers soothingly running down your hair, another rumble of cloud was heard but this time your heartbeat didn't increase as much as before, you knew why.

"Sing the one you usually sing to your niece." You whispered you didn't know that Wanda had a niece or a sibling, to begin with, the woman always appeared as a picture-perfect image of business and grace that you hardly ever thought of her being an aunt singing songs for her niece. It was just recently that you had started seeing her more and more with Natasha even now Natasha makes sure to not be affectionate with Wanda in front of you or it could be Wanda who made sure of it because you knew how Natasha didn't think much about it as she was free with you too in front of Wanda. "Please," You added after a moment knowing how much the woman cherishes etiquette. You were proved right when you were rewarded with a smile and finger bumping your nose, you shook your head a smile forming on your lips too.

"Of course. It's one of my personal favourite." Wanda mentioned before starting to hum softly, her fingers caressing your head, massaging your scalp lightly, before beginning with her song. Her soothing voice feeling the room and your heart stopping momentarily.

Her hand started scratching lightly on your scalp and you almost moaned out loud at the feeling, reminding you immediately of Natasha, making you miss her again. You closed your eyes, her voice could almost lull you back to sleep and you wished for her to never stop her singing, it wasn't ideally perfect but it was so quiet and soft, to you it was more than perfect. You could tell the song was for her niece by the choice of it as well as the emotions and stability in her voice telling you she had sung it before many times.

Wanda stopped and you immediately clapped your hands making her let out a laugh that felt like music in itself and it made you wish you had that kind of laugh as well, "That was beautiful." You whispered, now completely settled in her arms no longer feeling nervous or uncomfortable at the proximity of you two. Your mind already deciding on pretending that nothing like this happened the next morning. You were sure Wanda would agree on that as well.

"Thank you, Kitten." Wanda's use of the petname made your heart jump but you held yourself back from acknowledging it instead gave her a soft smile, "Now why don't you close your eyes and try to sleep? The storm is almost gone now." Wanda asked before looking outside the window to see the clouds moving clear of the sky a little. You nodded and closed your eyes, the hand playing with your hair slowly pulling you into a slumber but you held it back, "Thank you for tonight, Wanda." You opened your eyes to stare into the blue-green eyes, for a moment you thought you noticed affection in it but you blamed it on your sleepiness, "You are always welcome Darling." Wanda replied with a smile before motioning for you to close your eyes which you obliged.

The last thing you remember being Wanda picking up your book while her other hand is confined playing with your hair pushing you into a world of dreams. You didn't know that when you would look back at tonight in future, you would love thinking about how easily Wanda fooled you into thinking she was scared of storm as well. All to comfort you.

Bruce hadn’t been to his apartment in a very long time, given that he was with the avengers and then he was lost in space and now that he wanted to be somewhere familiar it now that he realized that he lost his keys a long time ago and just never found them again. So here he was trying to break into his own apartment and doing it very poorly, he was about to try something else when he heard a familiar voice. He blushed and turned around and saw Wanda, “Ummm, yeah hehe, I umm seemed to have lost my keys a long time ago…” he answered her sheepishly.
