Facts of the Day: 🌊Spotted Eagle Rays🌊
Tumblr media
Scientific Name: Aetobatus narinari
Length: 8.2 feet without the tail, 16.4 feet with the tail on average
Weight: 507 lbs maximum
Lifespan: Around 25 years
Reproduction: They give birth to live young with their litters being between 1 to 4 pups
Diet: Clams, oysters, shrimp, octopus, squid and sea urchins as well as bony fishes
Habitat: Warm coastal waters worldwide
Status: Near threatened
Summary: Spotted Eagle Rays are a very interesting species of ray, with a distinct snout used to dig through sand for their prey. They also are covered in white spots and rings that leave them with a striking appearance. While these rays are pretty, they also have a deadly weapon at their disposal. Spotted Eagle Rays are equipped with a venomous barbed stinger that can cause serious wounds and injury to humans that get on their bad side. Despite this, attacks by these rays are very scarce as they are shy and tend to avoid humans. Most attacks from this species were due to being heavily provoked or mishandled when captured. These rays also have a habit of breaching the water, capable of flying up to six feet into the air. It’s unknown the exact reason that these rays show breaching behaviors but it’s hypothesized to be to shake off parasites, avoid predators or unwanted mates, or even possibly just for fun.

I wanna take a second to go over this whole Gerard in their home studio with a producer thing if no one hasn’t already, cause I noticed something last night that I haven’t seen anyone bring up.
Tumblr media
Looking at his bio, we obviously know he’s a producer. But there’s another really important thing to note here as well.
He’s also a mixer/engineer, a mixing engineer basically. Why is this important?
Take a look at the definition of a mixing engineer below:
Tumblr media
So this could mean two things:
MCR5 is done recording and is in the mixing process, meaning we should expect it to release within a few months
MCR5 isn’t done recording but the band is ready to drop a new single (more than likely Eagles) within the next few weeks/months- if it’s in the next few weeks, it would fall perfectly with the last day of summer theory
We already knew they were doing something together when Frank remained in LA after the Dunes tour ended. And we also got that fortune cookie from him.
Tumblr media
The fortune cookie in question, which he posted on his ig story on August 18th.
And what did he post on his ig page 3 months before Foundations dropped?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He posted that fortune cookie on February 18th, 2022. 3 months before they dropped Foundations. Foundations dropped on May 12th, 2022.
So we’re obviously getting something within the next few weeks to months, without a doubt!
After all, Frank did say that MCR is an active band. And MCR branded the whole tour as a return, not a reunion.
We also saw them write Eagles in front of our own eyes at the various shows they performed Eagles at.
MCR5 is happening and has been happening. And it may be here sooner than we think.

Daily Ray Fact:
And you thought the Spotted Eagle Ray was pretty! 😍
Although the Ornate Eagle Ray is the largest of all eagle ray species, they are extremely rare, with few records from fisheries and a limited number of sightings in the wild. There have been fewer than 60 confirmed sightings of the ornate eagle ray and they are often referred to as the unicorn of the sea. The majority of encounters are recorded from Australia and the Indo-West Pacific region.
