Hello there , I hope I'm not bothering you , but I was wondering if you could give me some advice <3
I've been a devotee of Lady Selene for a while ( and while I'm also devoted to other deities, I'd say I have the strongest connection to her ) , and ever since I've seen these wonderful e-temples to honor the theoi , I've been thinking about making an e-temple to Lady Selene, but at the moment I'm a little overwhelmed and not sure where to begin. And I'm a bit worried that I , as a devotee , am not fit for running an e-temple since I'm not an experienced priestess . Maybe you could give me some tips or suggestions, but you of course don't need to ! Either way, I hope you have an amazing day, khaire <3
Khaire Louisa,
Thank you for your question! I am honored that you came to us seeking advice regarding starting your own temple.
I gave a quick glance to your blog and noticed that you are a minor.
At this time, The Temple is currently deliberating on the ethical nature of those under the age of 18 creating and stewarding temples within the community.
We are unable to give any advice at this time, as we are not sure where this deliberation will end up.
I think it is wonderful that you feel called to religious practice and temple stewardship, but at this time it may be more worthwhile to create an e-shrine or devotional blog. (Information regarding the difference between a Temple and a Shrine can be found here).
My apologies that this is probably not the answer you are looking for, but it is the best answer I am able to give at this time.
Eirene, peace and farewell.
- Aön

ISO: THE GODKIN E-SHRINE WEBSITE
Ok, I've been trying to hunt down this website for a while and I was just reminded of it. I remember in 2014 or so, a little bit before the 2017 influx of kinning, there was this online e-shrine website where people could click and drag clipart assets to make a shrine/altar to a god. It was super popular with the godkin sub community, and I remember people making posts and sending anons about how they prayed at the shrines and sent like.. offerings I think. Does anyone else remember this? It was like web 1.0 and super customizable.

Welcome to my secluded Grove.
You can call me Hawk or Hawkheart (She/They pronouns please). I am a Draconic Orphic practitioner who identifies as dragonkin. If this bothers you, feel free to block me.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or want someone to talk to about Hellenic Polytheism/Orphism and otherkin experiences. Any genuine questions will be answered so long as they are not too personal.
The god I'm closest to is Pan. If you want to check out his eshrine, it's @the-wild-grove

This is really going to date me, but does anyone remember the site you used to be able to make eshrines on where people could "light" a colored candle (just a little image) and leave messages on the page? I have no idea if anyone remembers it or if it's still around, but I would love to find it again!

Would you mind showing a screenshot/sharing a link to the eshrines? They sound interesting but the only similar thing I've seen on Tumblr are blogs devoted to a deity which seems excessive.
What are everyone's plans/what have you done for the Epagomenal days and Wep Ronpet? They're coming up on my personal calendar but I'm not feeling very inspired for them and feel pretty drained from the past couple weeks so low energy/simple suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

hi! you maintain a couple e-shrines, right? i'm thinking of starting one and am looking for general advice on how to run one; things like structure, how to tell what kinds of posts are appropriate, how often to use it, stuff like that
Hey! Yeah, I do! They’ve sadly been fairly inactive lately because so have I on here, but other people still interact with em and that’s just as important imo.
Structurally, I was most concerned with the display on the discrete url. Being visually appealing was the most important aspect because of someone goes directly to the page, I didn’t want the experience to be jarring (although for some entities, jarring might be appropriate). This meant playing around with how many columns I wanted, that I knew I wanted a “collaged” aesthetic, etc.
As for content, I really think that’s up to you. For me, they’re a source of inspiration and information, but ymmv. I tend to post things that remind me of the deity of focus as well as resources related to them. Occasionally I’ve posted myth retellings or even fiction that struck the right chord. That part, imo, is highly, highly personal. And of course some deity divination for specifics could be helpful, too.
For example, on @brighid-nam-bratta (which is group run), I’ve posted modern poetry, selections from lore, images of fire, forges, lambs, cows, and early spring flowers. All of these things relate to one aspect or another of Brighid, boy other folks on the shrine have posted things I’d never have thought of. That’s part of the beauty of it imo
