I am a disabled mom who is the sole income to my 3 people family. I normally work full time at my job but I am currently losing half of my hours at work. by the WAY people are not gonna buy your stuff online if the shipping costs literally just as much as the product.

at least if they are in any way not super financially privileged lol.

selling a $10 product for #3 does not mean anything if the shipping is $7.99.

i know it's frustrating because people wont look at your items as impulsively but you gotta offer free shipping and just price the product high enough to at least cover the shipping cost. this is much more straightforward and more likely for someone to go through with their buy if they're not hit with a bunch of surprise fees right at the end (this is why i never shop online outside of mercari/ebay).

Sites like eBay and mercari exist for selling things. I feel like everyone is too comfortable and just doesn't want to leave insta. I found my grail on an eBay auction and I didn't have to do any back and forth with the owner like I do on insta.

so that artists co op site from that post about etsy is cool and all for people just looking to buy things? but unless i missed something, it seems like since they're still in beta if you wanna be an artisan on the sitr you have to be a member of the co op sharing the site, which is fine like thats cool im all for co-ops, i just can't afford to pay over 80 bucks a month for well. any shopfront rn but especially one i cant guarantee will get me any more sales than i currently have. like being part of a co op is slightly better than having arrange selling through my own website but thats just something i cant afford currently <:/ so i still gotta look for more options
