Yes! Many people know I write fics, although none of them, not even my boyfriend, have ever read any of my works. I'm way too shy to share them (esp because I'm venturing into smut), although I'm sure if any of them were brave enough to venture through the YamiChar tag on AO3, they'll quickly figure out who I am. lmao 🫣

60: Have you had a writer you admire comment on your fic? What was that like?

Oh my god, yes! A few times, to be honest! I took screenshots and texted my boyfriend about it and basically rode a high for the rest of the week, so yeah. It's awesome.

As a writer, it means a lot when people leave comments, and I truly love reading them. 🤍

How do the girls get along

Pretty great actually!

Jenny and Kim are very good/close friends, since they met relatively early compared to others (they actually met each other first out of everyone, then others at one point and another) and had a shared adventure sometime after the ends of their respective shows (wink wonk).

But, their first meeting was not actually very um, positive. There was some conflict, but after it was resolved both of them gained a very solid friend for life!

Jenny, was glad to meet someone else (beside Brad) who treated her like a person/normal teenager (instead of an 8th wonder of the world or a freaky robot) and not to mention she got a fellow superheroine girl friend! After Misty, she kind of missed having someone like that to kick butt with (considering that like, 70% of her friends are dudes) or just hang out.

Kim was fascinated by Jenny, not because she is a robot (tho she does think its pretty cool) but because it kind of gave her a contrast to her own life in a weird way? Like, Kim was a normal teenager who got into superheroing on accident and just went with it, while Jenny was created with a goal of being Earth's defender but rebeled to have some sort of normal life. And now they both live those weird semi-normal lives, that led them to meeting each other.

Jun is around 5-6 years their junior and while they met each other much later on, when Jun was a little older (like not 11-12 age of the show), she still kind of looked up to them and both Jenny and Kim felt an instant kinship with the girl.

Before she met Jenny and Kim, Jun only knew a couple other guys as fellow heroes/magical protectors (guess who ;D lol), and while she had plenty of female role models (Ama/Jasmine being the most prominent) and friends, she kind of enjoyed meeting some cool older superheroines to bond with! It also helped that despite the age difference, both Jenny and Kim never looked down at her when it came to superheroing/fighting, but respected her abilities and expertise (considering that Jun was practically an apprentice to her Ama since at least 8-9ish of age, when her powers first awakened, she has a lot of experience).

They both are kind of like cool older cousins to her, who travel a lot for their work and come visit to hang out often and tell/share stories about their adventures. Their and her lines of work while similar, also run in completely different circles (human/interplanetary vs magical/supernatural), so its always a treat to hear about the things they do.

(And yes sometimes she feels jealous about the fact that both of them get to travel all over the world, and despite the developments, more often than not she has to stay town locked and limit her excursions to magical realms.)

Silly thing, but Jun absolutely adores Jenny, for one simple fact that she can travel to space just like that (she and Danny, fellow astronaut/space fans, share that, despite the fact that Danny kinda can travel to space just like that too.)

faz muito tempo que eu quero um oc baseado no ji chong de the wolf, porque o xiao zhan estava um deleite no papel e ele foi a melhor parte do drama... enfim! falamos de um rogue, o que muitas pessoas pensam quando falamos de mercenário ou caçador de recompensas. alguém disposto a cometer uns crimes em troca de uma quantidade suficientemente agradável de dinheiro, afinal tem que usar suas exímias habilidades com armas e a sua lábia para alguma coisa. aos olhos da maioria das pessoas, li yu é alguém inescrupuloso e hedonista, que só serve a seus próprios interesses, e sua única moral é o que for mais interessante para si mesmo. e isso é... parcialmente verdade. a verdade é que ele tem, sim, uma ética e uma moral muito bem-delimitadas, mas a única pessoa que as dita é a própria cabeça dele. agora, se alguém sente que ele não tem respeito algum pelas autoridades, é porque ele não tem mesmo, e não se envergonha do fato. e se sentem que ele é boêmio, hedonista, self-indulgent, que acha que as alegrias da vida estão em coisas mundanas como uma saborosa taça de vinho e uma bela pessoa (de qualquer gênero) em seu colo... é porque isso tudo é 100% verdade. sim, ele gosta dos prazeres da vida e odeia tédio. sue him.

agora, o que poucas pessoas sabem é que ele nasceu em berço de ouro, um dos príncipes do reino vizinho. pena que o pai sempre foi um canalha inescrupuloso. a verdade é que li yu tinha princípios demais para o homem, e isso sempre foi fonte de conflitos entre ambos. esses conflitos, entre outras coisas, muitas vistas como traições e desacato à autoridade de um homem já paranoico, culminaram com a retirada do título de li yu. destituído de seus títulos reais e militares, ele fugiu para as terras mais próximas e teve de recomeçar de algum lugar... e trapaça e sacanagem davam mais dinheiro que qualquer trabalho honesto que conseguisse. e, ei, ele só trapaceia com nobres e ricos, nosso robin hood! eles que se entendam entre eles. enquanto isso, li yu volta à fronteira dos países regularmente para tentar ajudar um vilarejo a se reconstruir. um vilarejo que, ele sabe, foi impactado por suas próprias ações, ainda que ele estivesse só cumprindo ordens. a culpa disso ele vai guardar pra sempre.

the gilded cage! heavy is the head that wears the crown! onnomnomnom nessa casa amamos clichês. e esse é o famoso clichê do personagem para quem o poder é um fardo, uma condenação. qingxuan não nasceu com ambiç��o no coração, mas nunca teve muita escolha. ser declarado herdeiro do trono era a consequência natural de ser o único menino que seu pai conseguira gerar... mesmo que sua mãe estivesse longe de ser a imperatriz. e mesmo que a imperatriz e outras concubinas de mais alto escalão (até o nascimento de qingxuan, claro) jurassem que ele fora escolhido, que o imperador desistiu tão facilmente, por conta da predileção por sua mãe. as origens menos que humildes da mulher, antes uma cortesã, não ajudavam.

desde seus primeiros passos, qingxuan foi treinado para seguir os caminhos de um imperador. todas as suas aulas eram pensadas para torná-lo o melhor político possível. o melhor guerreiro também, embora a saúde física de qingxuan não fosse lá das melhores, e ele foi logo ensinado que isso era algo que teria de manter sempre em mente para que não fosse usado contra si. ao mesmo tempo, a mãe encargou-se de arranjar um tutor que ensinasse ao filho a arte da a politicagem de um jeito que os tutores formais da corte dificilmente fariam, fosse porque ser franco seria considerado demasiado vulgar, fosse porque seu pai, apesar de tudo, e apesar da adoração pelo menino, jamais confiaria nele tanto assim. queria lhe passar o trono, mas não tão cedo. não queria morrer por outra coisa que causas naturais, veja bem.

qingxuan nunca teve a chance de saber o que queria, pois a escolha nunca foi lhe dada. a autonomia nunca foi lhe dada. desde cedo, também aprendeu outra coisa: que teria de pertencer a todos, menos a si próprio. pertencia ao reino e seus interesses políticos, pertencia ao povo. mas não reclamaria muito dessa parte. seu lado idealista ainda sonhava em, um dia, se devesse herdar o trono, ser o melhor imperador possível. alguém que pudesse trazer melhorias reais à vida das pessoas. e, hoje, faz o que pode, tentando ter a humildade de se encontrar com os súditos em pessoa quando possível e ouvir suas demandas. também investe significativamente na arte e nas ciências, e, desde que assumiu o trono, poderia se gabar que o estado tem florescido sob sua administração, se consolidado como um hub cultural na região. a verdade é que sempre achou algum prazer na pilha de livros que era obrigado a ler. e a verdade é que qingxuan mesmo é um poeta, com uma série de versos escritos desde a adolescência... mas estes ele não assina com seu nome, é claro. apenas circulam por aí sob um pseudônimo.

ainda assim, o fardo da coroa é pesado e não o deixa dormir direito à noite. quanto mais considerando as múltiplas tentativas de assassinato que sofreu durante a noite. ainda tenta domar a corte caótica que tem, mas não é pulso firme, ou quiçá tirano, o suficiente para isso, então lhe resta ter jogo de cintura. calcula todos os movimentos que pode quase que obsessivamente. e talvez com o tempo ele tenha, sim, passado a se perguntar como seria ter coisas como liberdade e autonomia. talvez escreva também por isso. mas são apenas sonhos. qingxuan também fez as pazes com seu harém, ou ao menos acha. já viu o suficiente para começar a pensar que, francamente, se nenhuma das mulheres tentar matar a ele ou matar umas às outras, está tudo bom demais. até agora, tudo parece estar sob controle, a não ser que algo tenha sido escondido dele. ao mesmo tempo, ainda precisa encontrar uma imperatriz, e sabe disso, pois todos insistem em lembrá-lo incessantemente.

e acho que ele funcionaria bem com um plot de casamento arranjado (tava pensando nesse gifset quando comecei a escrever), mas também de amor proibido!

1: Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chaptered fics?

Hmmm, this is tough. I often start out writing and intending my fics to be one-shots, but they typically evolve into multi-chaptered fics. 😂

14: How do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?

Ooh, great question! Most of my fics so far have been romance-based, so the big emotional moments are often confessions and/or realizations that one of the characters is In Love™.

These scenes typically have a "purpose" (often to advance the plot or spur character growth), so I try to think of the story in its entirety—how we got here + what will happen from then on. I find that this is one of my short-comings as a writer, so I'm trying to remedy it with my current Black Bulls-centric fic to have these emotional tableaus without necessarily having a "purpose" for them other than to create depth in the preexisting characters.

There are times when I try to put myself in the position of the characters I write about, although I wouldn't say I can feel what they feel. For me personally, it's a slippery-slope if I think of myself as the character; I find it difficult to separate *my* feelings from how the character would *actually* react, resulting in a characterization I don't like. (Heavy Disclaimer that this is just my personal preference for my own fics, but I love reading everyone else's interpretations of the characters!!)

I think it's inevitable to draw from personal experiences. I don't think I'm a good enough writer to pull emotions out that I've never experienced myself lol

tl;dr: I revisit the canon and extrapolate from there

16: How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Oh my god, there are so so so many. My Google Drive and Fanfiction account is full of unpublished/unfinished WIPs hahaha. I have a notes app document with brief outlines for Black Clover fics and that alone has 30+ items so far. 💀

I'll share a few here because why not hehe:

A) Current working title is In Another Life (although that could still change) — Mereo x Princia fic

Follows the events of the movie, where Mereo scours the ends of the earth for a way to contact Princia in the past. It's a little angsty and a whole lotta doomed by the narrative. An excerpt I really like:

Your soul is molten down by her fire and you hope that maybe she could smith you into something useful. Perhaps a shield in the next lifetime instead of a spear.

B) Memento Mori — Speculative fiction from Julius's POV

Idk if I'll continue this fic, mostly because it strays a lot from the canon and I'm always scared of wandering too far haha. It's basically a fic of how Julius was conscious of Lucius's existence all this time & actually took steps in countering The End to the best of his ability. A little excerpt:

It is a wonder how one could look ahead to the threads of time being woven into an ever-changing tapestry without going mad. Born into a body with two souls, Julius knew that the Other lay dormant, waiting for the opportune moment to take over this mortal shell they shared, and burn the tapestry into ashes.


A lesser man would have gone insane, but Julius willed himself to be strong. So much so that he earned the only coverless grimoire in existence, learning whatever magics he could to keep the End at bay somehow. [...] He could see how each decision could alter the future weaving in front of him. Every word spoken, every action, is a seed being planted to defeat the inevitable End. So this is how Julius lived his life: always steps ahead to ensure that the foundation he builds would be strong enough to keep standing, even when the time that the Other soul fully takes over his body comes.

The ethereal butterfly was constantly teaching her new things, whether it be something she read in a book, or wise words of advice. They had a very amicable relationship despite the burning rage the Insect Hashira held toward Demons. The only time Nezuko properly felt threatened was the foreboding smile Shinobu would give her when she was scratching up the wooden tables or stealing her goldfish bowl without permission. In her defense, Zenitsu was to blame for pointing its existence out to her.

What was lacked in strength was made up for by resourcefulness; Nezuko respected her greatly for being both small and scary all at the same time.

It’s so funny you ask because I am literally listening to it as I’m typing this😂 but I really love it! I can’t wait to see them perform it!!
