Having a learning disorder is really wild when you think about it. Hey we invented this new thing called calculus a long time ago and turns out you’re so bad at it that you have a medical condition. Sorry.

SUMMARY : “hey hi, could you do an imagine with Dean who is dyslexic or dyscalcic? Please I would really care <3” — anon
PAIRING : dean winchester x fem!reader
CHARACTERS : none
WARNINGS/TAGS : explicit(18+), fluff
WORD COUNT : 826
A/N : title from a the devil wears prada song. ah, an imagine. I actually don’t know what the hell I'm doing, but I loved this as I started reading a Stephen King book in the semi-darkness and I kept reading words wrong and thinking about how difficult it would be to be dyslexic.
Dean heard your adorable giggle before he heard your footsteps coming closer to his bedroom.
This new, long-term dating thing made his heart skip a few beats.
You were cute and compassionate, mostly, but there was so much to you than just that. The longer he spent getting to know you, the more you seemed to unexpectedly expose parts of yourself, like heated kernels turning to popcorn.
He stopped cleaning the stuff in his bedside table’s drawer to watch you with a dimpled smile. He sat on the bed and you finally showed him what you were shyly hiding behind your back.
He blinked a few times, willing his brain to focus on the yellow sticky note and your pretty handwriting. He glanced up at you, your expectant gaze, the flush on your cheeks. Embarrassment flared up his neck and he panicked.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he blurted out. You tilted your head at him as your brows twitched and your smile faded into confusion. “I'm tired, I can’t focus,” he lied, rubbing his eyes.
You thought it odd, but shrugged it off anyway.
“Oh, that’s fine,” you smiled, “it says: show me your tits, cowboy.” Dean laughed softly and you slapped the sticky note on the wall above his bed as you climbed into his lap. He instantly grabbed your waist and slowly slid his hands down to your ass. “But if you’re tired, we can just sleep… after you finish cleaning this up.” You dipped down to kiss his forehead, but he searched for your lips for a real kiss that made you warm all over.
One of his hands slowly moved up your back until he cupped the back of your head to deepen the kiss. Before you knew it, he had you laying down on his bed and impatiently moved between your legs to kiss you harder.
You laughed against his lips and moved up the bed, never breaking the kiss until your head was properly pressed into his soft pillow. His warm, calloused hand sneaked up into your tank top, slowly lifting it, distracting you by licking into your mouth.
His soft tongue played with yours and he gently squeezed your breast, causing your breath to hitch. He pulled away with a smirk that made you feel hotter. He removed his hand from your warm flesh to kiss down your neck and your hands moved into his soft hair. His soft lips pressed and brushed teasingly against your skin, and his careful teeth grazed your sensitive flesh. He gently pulled down the strap of your top and followed the thin strip before moving to kiss your cleavage instead.
“Fuck,” you whispered impatiently, but let him do things his way despite the fire you felt on your skin from his touch and his kiss.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered warmly against your skin. You smiled and hummed softly, watching him with his greedy eyes while he grabbed a handful of your ass and slipped his hand underneath your shorts.
“You're not wearing underwear.” His voice was low and deep, and all you could do was bite down on your lips while he licked his own and just watched you hungrily. Your heart was in a frenzy and your mind was clouded with incoherent thoughts of him. Naked.
“I pretty much told you I came here for sex, but cuddling is an option if you’re tired.” He slid his hand out from under your shorts, moved back up to peck your lips before smiling down at you cheekily. You pressed your lips together shyly and lowered your hands to his broad shoulders.
“Can I tell you something?” He asked suddenly, pressing his lower body against yours and gently leaned on his side with his arm beside you. You tried to ignore the sensation of his body being all over your and lovingly cupped his cheek.
“You can tell me anything.”
He inhaled and looked away from you slightly. “I’m dyslexic. I couldn’t really read your note.”
You almost blurted out really? without thinking, but this is Dean. He wouldn’t say that if he wasn’t completely sure about it. Your smile softened and he chewed on his lip for a few seconds before trying to cover it up with a seductive lick of his lips and a quick glance at yours as an escape for his confession.
“That must make all this hunting research very difficult for you,” you considered thoughtfully. He kissed you softly to interrupt your thoughts.
“It does…” he mumbled against your mouth and rocked his hips gently against your core. Your breath got caught in your chest.
“You’re still very good at it,” you reassured him breathlessly and grabbed at his shirt to tug it up and off his flushed body. He hummed appreciatively against your lips. “Thanks for telling me,” you murmured, teasingly nipping at his lip when he started pulling away to remove his shirt.
“Thanks for being you.”

Sorry I hate division. I'm dyscalcic and also had really terrible math education in my formative years. The first math test I took in high school you could see the point my teacher gave up on grading it and just wrote "come see me".
I now have two jars of starter because I didn't feel like dividing 1 1/2 teaspoons to scale down the recipe. There's a pattern here perhaps.

not to be all "gifted kid syndrome waaahh waaaah" but im pretty sure i have some sort of dyslexia/dyscalclia and because i was "smart" i slipped through the cracks. even accounting for my anxiety and thus being overly judgmental of myself, its bad and its always been bad. i did very poorly in spelling in school despite excelling in english. i cant tell you how many exams in college i did poorly in just because i wrote the wrong numbers down????
An engineer who loves writing and literature but is dyslexic/dyscalcic is objectively funny at least.

If school was good for me then why do I have nightmares about it? I’m 28, I haven’t been in K-12 since 2015 and I haven’t been in college since 2020. I shouldn’t be having bad dreams about missing assignments or scary projects. I can’t escape it even in my dreams apparently. I’ve had them more frequently lately. School was traumatizing as a dyscalcic, autistic, anxiety-ridden child. There’s no denying it. I’ll be forever angry at the American school system for my own sake but also for every neurodivergent, disabled kid out there. I think about how kids like myself were treated 50, 100 years ago and I know that I had some good things at least. I was never beat by teachers. I had an Individual Learning Plan or IEP. People knew the words for why I struggled. Still, it wasn’t enough.

Hello, I have dyscalculia! School was really hard for me, even non-math subjects could be a struggle because I’ve always processed information differently/need extra help sometimes. If I wasn’t given specific enough instructions on how to do something then I’d get anxious because I wouldn’t know how to do the thing. All throughout my K-12 schooling I went to special math classes for students like me. In some cases it helped as I was so behind the “normal” students in the standard math classes. However what sucked is I was made to believe that I was stupid due to the way teachers held my hand so to speak and how other “normal” students would say things to me like “I thought you were smart?” When I didn’t understand a math problem that they thought was easy. I remember breaking down crying in 5th grade because I came back from my math class early and my teacher asked me to answer a math problem the students had been working on which I didn’t understand. While I knew that I needed extra help, smaller class sizes for math and needed to be taught a different way, I also disliked how unintelligent it all made me feel. Our world revolves around math and numbers so if you’re not a math genius then you’re considered an idiot. Even in college I struggled with my one required math course which I initially failed the first time around. To this day I never memorized multiplication tables. Counting money is hard. Doing math in my head is tricky. I second guess myself a lot. My advice to your kiddos is to not let anyone tell them that they’re not smart just because they struggle with reading, math, or education in general. Intelligence has many forms and each human being is different! My strengths were reading, writing and history. Other students might excel in math and science. I also encourage your students to learn to advocate for themselves when they get older and know that it’s okay to ask for help. Best of luck to them! 🤍
Hi everyone !
This has nothing to do with stories and will be erased after a lil while as usual, but I have a little favor to ask, and was wondering :
Are any of y’all dyslexic ? Or suffer from dyscalculia or dyspraxia ?
As some of you might know, I’m an elementary school teacher (in training but still haha) and have a class of 18 little ones. Some of them suffer from dyslexia/dyscalculia/dyspraxia. I wrote a little story with the main character being dyslexic for my kiddos in need, and normalize their difficulties. To also show other kids who do not suffer from it how hard learning can get when you have those problems, and therefor to be understanding and kind towards others. I have a rather large group of kids in my class (they’re 8 years old by the way) who suffer from dyslexia/dyscalculia/dyspraxia, and who confessed to me feeling like they were stupid or other not so nice things to feel when you’re barely 8., and I want to make a little project about it to show them that it is a-okay, and that with works and help, you can make it (like I did :))., and for that, I need y’all’s experience !
So please, if you suffer from any of the things above, talk to me about your school experience, the hardship you went through because of it, your tricks to try and fight it etc etc…anything you want :). Thanks in advance to anyone participating ^^. And don’t hesitate to reblog and share if this doesn’t concern you, the more people I have telling me about their experience, the better !
I personally AM dyslexic, and came a long ass way since a child to write without making too many mistakes (would you believe me if I say I make much more mistakes while writing in French than in English ? Haha for some reasons writing in my native language is at times more difficult…Mmm…I’m sure it has NOTHING to do with the barbaric way grammar and such works in French hahaha). It was a battle often, especially as I always LOVED to read and write, so, ya know. Anyway. Don’t be shy, and again, thanks in advance ! <3

puts my chin in my hands n kicks my feet behind me. bff do u have any headcanons for craig and those guys, i love the way ur brain interprets these silly paper cutout guys ^_^
yaaaa ofc bestie <3
craig:
-is a movie snob but not in a "this movie needs to be the most well written film Ever" way, he's a snob in a "if this movie isnt so bad my sides hurt from laughing i just wont fucking watch it" way. seed of chucky is peak film to him
-has two left feet but likes to dance <3 his lanky body does not agree with the movement but that wont stop him from bussin it down celibate style or whatever they call it nowadays
-used to build wooden model airplanes and then paint them with tricia (i almost typed ruby somebody take my hands away), most of them are hung in her room but craig kept a few
-this mfer the type to go to college with literally zero plan, decide to take art after being undecided for as long as possible, hate art bc they make him do other types of art besides what he normally does, then drop out or smth along those lines
token:
-the worst excuse for a mom friend but the guys dont care. he can't cook. he will send them a text just saying "go bed" at like 10pm before immediately going to bed himself and not bothering to see if any of them actually Plan To Sleep. carries around bandaids but will not give them out unless they are deserved (you fell jumping off the swing? dont jump of the swing next time, bitch. no bandaid for u). literally only the mom friend bc nobody else could fill the role
-white chicks is unironically his favorite movie, right next to the medea halloween movie (incase yall forgot token canonically likes tyler perry movies. i cannot blame him. they suck so bad they're good)
-he dresses like a 60 year old dad going fishing or like he is going to the most important meeting of his life, no inbetween
-wants to learn an instrument really bad but has sucked at every single one he's tried so far, not to mention he cant read sheet music for shit.
-is the only one in his class who can write in cursive but he only learned bc both his parents wrote in cursive and he got tired of not being able to be nosey when he found notes around the house. turns out they were mostly grocery lists and appointment reminders.
clyde:
-he/they user
-^ goes thru a gender identify crisis in the 10th grade before goin nah. just a dude who likes they/them pronouns sometimes.
-is on the football team all throughout high school but only bc they need more players. everyone knows he sucks at the game. he does not gain any sort of popularity from being on the team, but he stays so he has an excuse to get out of the house more 🤷♀️
-dylexic AND dyscalcic. double whammy! with a side of adhd <3
-is craigs certified dance partner whenever the dude starts jamming. craig will just drag him out to the middle of the room and make him lead in a shitty foxtrot.
-speaking of craig, the height difference between them is crazy. craig gets tall, ofc, but clyde is just kinda. at his chest. face in boobies. it's like u got the absolutely twig of a man at 6'4" and then there's his bestie at 5'6", dragging him around by their linked arms.
tweek:
-despite the whole meth thing, regular coffee is actually apart of his enrichment. it's like the adhd meds he never got, without the extra upper of doing way too much meth on a day to day basis! is a fan of the starbucks iced carmel frappes.
-likes to cook when he is overwhelmed but cooking for him means being up and moving the entire time otherwise he will start to overthink again. he cant do none of that oven cook shit. give him a meal that requires a lot of prep work and watching the stove so he will be busy for a good hour and suddenly it's like he was never upset to begin with.
-an alt baby <3 screamo calms him
-^ wants to take the guys to a concert but clyde "has never listened to something not in the top 40s" donovan and craig "nearly died in the pit at a local punk gig that kenny dragged him to" tucker are against this idea.
jimmy:
-him 🤝 craig
shitty scifi movies
-^ anything with bad aliens in it will become his new obsession for like 4 months and everyone will have to hear about it. hyperfixation go brrr or whatever
-hates scripting sets for the life of him. like. will just write down jokes and hope he remembers bc he cannot be fucked to actually attempt to stick with his own plans
-speaking of scripts, he enjoys a bit of acting but, again, cannot be fucked with scripts. he hates memorizing and feels like it sounds more. well. scripted, when he actually memorizes lines, rather than just getting the jist of his lines and how his character acts and improving it. this technique has mixed results and, obviously, does not go over well with other people he is supposed to be acting with
-^ that being said he is a hit in improv classes ofc
-becomes a big fan of photography sometime in high school, is the resident phototaker both of the group and the grade. if people are posting a candid group photo, it's probably from him
#shit self#asks#fabletownz#south park#craig and those guys#craig's gang#headcanons#ok 2 rb#craig tucker#clyde donovan#token black#tolkien black#< hell#jimmy valmer#tweek tweak#kinz#bangerz#tweek tag 🗯

LazyTeens concept:
Robbie is an inventor and an engineer, and occasionally has segments where he teaches the kids physics. He's dyscalcic and has trouble with numbers, and Sportacus is actually great at math, so working together is easy for them.
Robbie is also dyslexic, and Sport is ESL, so they're more even on that field, and Trixie has been known to proofread or read out loud for them.
Pixel teaches Robbie coding or maybe HTML.
