The Best Jewelry From the 2024 Academy Museum Gala
The Academy Museum Gala may be relatively new on the scene, but it has already cemented itself as a must-see for those who love a good jewelry moment. Last night’s event did not disappoint, with an array of show-stopping diamonds and vibrant gems gracing the red carpet. Saoirse Ronan dazzled with her Anita Ko diamond Ruth earrings, while Amy Adams added a splash of color with her bold David Webb…

The Lost Boys - Former/Human Names
We only know the boys on a first name basis, but long ago they had entirely different identities. Here is what they were known as when they were human 🦇
Peter David Williams Jr. 🖤
If you've read my post about the human lives I've come up for each of the boys, you'll know I said that David was a junior that went by his middle name. He had a very cold and distant relationship with his parents, so he wanted his own identity, not that of his father.
His first name, Peter, was his father's. It's inspired by the character of Peter Pan, of which The Lost Boys is particularly inspired by. Being that he's the leader of The Lost Boys, it only seemed fitting that David's real name would reflect on that.
The surname Williams has gotten passed around a bit in the fandom as David's last name. This is quite fitting as it could represent how he's a man of "will", fighting for his desires.
Marcello Romano 💚
According to Alex Winter himself, Marko never told anyone his real name. Not even the other boys.
In my background story for him, Marko went on the run after he brutally murdered his mother's killer. He lived on the streets for the remainder of his human life until he met David. Being too heartbroken over his mother and too scared of the consequences for taking a life, he told David that his name was "Marco" as a coverup. As far as he was concerned, Marcello Romano no longer existed. When he became a vampire, he was reborn.
When they eventually went back to America, he changed the spelling to Marko and learned to hide his Italian accent.
Marcello means "little warrior", relating to Markos fighting spirit. Romano refers to "of Rome" which is where he was originally from.
Diwane Greyeyes/Dwayne Rivers ❤️
Dwayne is an interesting one because he actually has TWO different human names. One from his time living with his mother's tribe and one living in New York with his father's family.
His father was an outsider who joined the Wyandot tribe his mother was apart of. He learned a lot about their culture and language but sometimes got things mixed up. When Dwayne was born, his mother mentioned the help of the Arendiwane (which is the Wyandot name for the medicine people). His father mistook this as a name and used part of the word to name his first child. Diwane.
The surname Greyeyes comes as inspiration from John W. Greyeyes, a leader and lawyer of the Wyandot tribe. He was buried in the same place Dwayne himself was born.
When his family had to move across the country to New York, his father knew they couldn't use their current identities. It would make them targets for mistreatment and prove to be extra difficult for finding good jobs. So the spelling of his first name was changed to "Dwayne" while his surname was changed to the westernized version of his father's (from Rivera to Rivers).
Paul Henry Moore 💙
Not only is Paul the only Lost Boy to come from a wealthy family, but he's also the only one to not have changed his name at some point. Though he was happy to just go by his first name, as he wanted not to do with the memory of his incredibly abusive family.
The full name is inspired by William Henry Moore, a famous financer who was one of the business owners that merged with Carnegie Steel, which is the industry of which Paul's family got their riches from. Growing up, his parents would call him "Paul Henry" if he was in trouble (which happened a lot).
Ironically, Moore did have a son and a grandson named "Paul".

It was an end of a tradition - no annual Mindy Kaling / B.J. Novak Mark Seliger Vanity Fair picture! I need awards season closure.
But one tradition that stuck around was the unoffical Black excellence gathering.
You can tell who got there early: Rashida Jones, Jeremy O. Harris, Trevor Noah, John Legend, Nnamdi Asomugha, Shonda Rhimes, Franklin Leonard, Bethan Hardison, Donald Glover, Quinta Brunson and Kerry Washington.
Kenya Barris, Jeffrey Wright, Bethan Hardison, Ava DuVernay, Cynthia Erivo, Danai Gurira, Aldis Hodge, Lizzo (with boyfriend Mike Wright), Kerry Washington, Lena Waithe, Busta Rhymes, Anderson Paak, Jodie Turner Smith, Shonda Rhimes, Usher, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Ice Spice, Chloe & Halle Bailey, Babyface all the way on the side with Jeremy Pope beside him, Shameik Moore, Michelle Buteau, I see Laverne Cox, Tiffany Haddish, Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Leticia Wright, Trevor Noah all the way in the back with Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade.
Seeing as Busta was there, I wonder if Trevor rapped for him again.
Too bad the lighting wasn't better.
2023's
-While not at the Vanity Fair affair- instead seen at pre-Oscar party was Teyana Taylor of A THOUSAND AND ONE (which she was incredible in).
Teyana was seen talking to her costar of the untitled Paul Thomas Anderson film which is slated for an August 2025 release, Leonardo DiCaprio.
which - of course - has started rumours that they're involved.
Teyana is too much woman for Leo.

NCIS is gearing up to ring in a special milestone with the April 15th episode as the franchise reaches 1,000 episodes overall. But how does it all break down? Below, we’re revealing how each of the current and former spinoffs contributed to the flagship’s upcoming installment.
Eddy Chen/CBS
NCIS (464 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 23, 2003–present
The Brief: “What makes NCIS so damn special?” That question is furiously put to Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) by his estranged son, Jared (Spence D. Moore II), in the NCIS franchise’s 1,000th episode. Launched in 2003, NCIS has four spinoffs and two highly anticipated shows coming — NCIS: Origins and a Michael Weatherly–Cote de Pablo project nicknamed NCIS: Europe.
The younger Vance makes his query when the two cross paths at his mom’s gravesite. Vance’s wife was killed by terrorists in 2013, and Jared can’t comprehend why his dad is so dedicated to a job that put their family in danger.
Make that puts: Vance is soon in peril and the team under attack by an enemy from the past. “We’ve heard this baddie’s name before,” exec producer Steven D. Binder told us at a celebration on the set. “As in some of our better episodes, our people risk their lives for each other. We pay homage to the O.G. NCIS and the other series.”
Guest star alert: Assisting via satellite feed are Los Angeles agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Hawai‘i boss Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey). The cavalry also includes a longtime NCIS ally, former FBI agent Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano).
In a scene we observed, forensic scientist Kasie (Diona Reasonover) reviews evidence with Torres (Wilmer Valderrama). Jared, desperate to help, has slept there overnight. “Kasie connects with Jared and becomes a mentor in a way,” Reasonover says.
Valderrama hints it all gets explosive, promising “a big, big set piece; all of us are involved.” And one agent does something new: “We see McGee in a position you’ve never seen him in in 20 years,” spills Sean Murray. Says Gary Cole, who plays team leader Alden Parker, “We witness some fragility of what this job entails, the obstacles that could pop up unexpectedly.”
Skip Bolen/CBS
NCIS: New Orleans (155 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 23, 2014–May 23, 2021
The Brief: The Big Easy’s brassy, buoyant spirit infused the franchise’s third title, shot memorably on location. In fact, lead Scott Bakula once told TV Guide Magazine about a great only-in-NOLA moment: “being in the middle of the Mississippi River, captaining a tugboat!” His honest boss Dwayne Pride was based on a real New Orleans lawman, retired naval investigator D’Wayne Swear, who served as a consultant.
Daniel Asher Smith/Paramount+
NCIS: Sydney (8 EPISODES)
Airdates: November 10, 2023–present
The Brief: “In Australia, everything can kill you,” executive producer Morgan O’Neill cracked to TV Guide Magazine when the Oz-set new kid on the block arrived last year. Down Under has proved plenty perilous for tough NCIS Special Agent Captain Michelle Mackey (Olivia Swann) and her savvy partner-in-crime-fighting, Australian Federal Police Sergeant JD Dempsey (Todd Lasance). After locking horns, the American and the Aussie warmed to each other. But all may be undone thanks to JD going rogue in the finale — crikey! Good news for fans left in suspense: Sydney was just renewed!
Karen Neal/CBS
NCIS: Hawai‘i (50 EPISODES)
Airdates: September 20, 2021–present
The Brief: NCIS said aloha to the franchise’s third offshoot and first female special agent in charge, hardworking divorced mom Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey), in 2021. “I feel like I’m in a movie: Platoon meets Jurassic Park,” Lachey told TV Guide Magazine at the time. Before shooting on lush Oahu began, production held a traditional Hawaiian blessing. The island culture has defined the series, with unique cases involving paniolos (Hawaiian cowboys) and Pearl Harbor survivors. Tennant’s team, a blend of mainland transplants and locals like surfer Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant), has welcomed other NCIS franchise agents for joint ops. And now L.A.’s Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is on the island!
Ron P. Jaffe/CBS
NCIS: Los Angeles (323 EPISODES)
Airdates:September 22, 2009–May 21, 2023
The Brief: For a thrilling 14 seasons, the first spinoff’s Office of Special Projects hit the sunny streets of L.A. to chase down a rap sheet of baddies from Russian mobsters to psychotic serial killers — even an office mole. Under the management of no-nonsense Henrietta “Hetty” Lange (Linda Hunt), ex–Navy SEAL Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and loner Grisha “G” Callen (Chris O’Donnell) were special agents with banter as quick as their draw. But both had endured pain: for Sam, a wife murdered by a terrorist; for G, a rocky childhood in foster care and a brutal secret program to train kids in spycraft.
Fans rooted for romance between team members Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), whose entertaining undercover missions included posing as cult members and suburban marrieds. The cast was equally tight. O’Donnell says, “The first day on set, the original NCIS cast came in. They were like a family. I remember looking at Dani and LL thinking, ‘Are we ever going to get as close?’ Sure enough, we did.”

Hey why whi who is josh hutchensin i sont fucking know
Joshua Ryan Hutcherson was born on October 12, 1992 in Union, Kentucky to Michelle Fightmaster, who worked for Delta Air Lines, and Chris Hutcherson, an EPA analyst. He has one younger brother, Connor Hutcherson. From the age of four, Josh knew that he wanted to be an actor. In order to pursue his goal, Josh and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was nine-years-old.In 2002, Josh landed his first acting role in the TV film, House Blend (2002), with Amy Yasbeck, Dan Cortese and Sean Faris. The same year, Josh was cast in the pilot, Becoming Glen (2002), but Fox did not order it to series (though, several years later, it was reconfigured as the short-lived series, The Winner (2007), starring Rob Corddry, and co-written/produced by Seth MacFarlane). Toward the end of 2002, Josh appeared on an episode of ER (1994).Josh made his big-screen debut, in 2003, with a bit part in the Oscar-nominated American Splendor (2003). His career began its measured ascent in 2005 with a supporting slot as one of Will Ferrell's kids in Kicking & Screaming (2005), a co-starring role in the indie hit Little Manhattan (2005), and another co-starring role in Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), which was originally conceived as a sequel to Jumanji (1995). Despite underperforming at the box office, "Zathura" helped earned for Josh his first Young Artist Award for "Leading Young Actor".2006 saw bigger returns for Josh's burgeoning film career with a role as one of Robin Williams' sons in the modest hit, RV (2006). The following year, he landed his first breakthrough role in Bridge to Terabithia (2007), the kid-approved adaptation of Katherine Paterson's novel that co-starred AnnaSophia Robb, whose career was also taking off at this time.Josh starred as Brendan Fraser's nephew in another family-film hit, Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008), and he had a smaller role in the Crash-like drama, Fragments (2008), though by now his face and name were being used in movie-marketing materials. Though it wasn't a hit, Josh's character in Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009) served as a major plot device early in the story. In 2010, Josh co-starred in the critically-acclaimed film, The Kids Are All Right (2010), alongside Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, and Mia Wasikowska. The film received several awards and four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Josh's performance as the youngest child in a family, led by two mothers, earned him acclaim from audiences and the industry, alike. Josh followed up with an expanded role in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012), which saw Dwayne Johnson take over as the main character from Brendan Fraser. Between the star power and the allure of 3D, the sequel was a worldwide hit and a third installment is in development. With the announcement that he would portray the beloved "Peeta Mellark" in The Hunger Games (2012), the film adaptation of the best-selling novel written by Suzanne Collins, Josh became an instant celebrity. In the wake of the movie's massive worldwide success, Detention (2011), a horror/comedy that Josh made before "The Hunger Games", was released. Josh was also an executive producer on that feature. Before Josh reprises his role as "Peeta" in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), we will see him in the long-delayed remake of Red Dawn (2012); the omnibus 7 Days in Havana (2011) (aka "7 Days in Havana") (Josh's segment was directed by Benicio Del Toro); The Forger (2012) opposite Lauren Bacall, Alfred Molina, and Hayden Panettiere; and the animated Epic (2013) from Ice Age (2002) co-director (and voice of "Scrat"), Chris Wedge.

Donald Trump valamivel leöntve. Nem akarom tudni, hogy mivel öntötték le ennek a derék, becsületes, szőke, fehér hazafinak a csillagát.
