always has an ice pack chilled and ready to go in the freezer in case you bump yourself real hard and it's sore because ice helps bumps not bruise right when you get them (looking at you guys clumsy ladies write that one down)

always asks what you did to get a new bruise. she'll notice a new one and joke, "oh, what did you do this time?" and you'll respond, "i may have walked into the dishwasher while the door was down... but this one doesn't hurt that bad 😁" it's become like a little game

she's become sooo desensitized to any bump or bang sound in the house bc she knows its just you. not to say she doesn't care about you getting hurt--she immediately throws out a "you good?!" or "you need me?"--she just knows you know what to do: ice pack or heat compress. it's routine now.

read that low vitamin c levels make you bruise easily, so always has vitamin c rich snacks stocked up. oranges and strawberries and other fruits, always ready!

she's so stupid in love that she'll cut the fruits up into hearts or try nd make the most simple little animals with them from some mother of 3's tutorial on instagram reels and genuinely gets upset when she can't recreate them.

^ like you notice her absolutely maiming some apples and ask, "ummm why are you slicing and dicing that poor apple?" and she'll mumble, "it's supposed to be a stupid crab."

and for my ladies with darker skin where bruises aren't as visible or even just pale skin that just doesn't bruise easily, she's still just as concerned. and since there is no visible warning of a sore spot, she's hurriedly apologizing after pressing on a sore spot or laying on a tender patch.

Now that i have seen the official confirmation that the Pestos do NOT in fact, live above their restaurant, i had to recreate a more accurate rendition of what the Pesto kids' rooms would look like at each parent's house

Starting off strong with Jimmy Sr's bachelor pad:

I used to hc that as a full family unit the pestos lived above the restaurant, and that jimmy sr kept living there after the divorce (yes i have seen the episode where they actually show where he lives), and bc of that in the past I liked the idea that the boys still got to keep their old rooms

obviously not lmfao and because Jimmy is Jimmy, his bachelor pad only has two rooms

so the boys share!

but y'know it's not that big of a deal since the boys are only over every other weekend anyway

the condo came with the bunk bed

YES he washed the sheets before the twins started sleeping there

Jimmy sr is obsessed with J-ju's height and desperately wants him to go into basketball

Andy is still sleeping on top and Ollie will forever remain that the bottom of the bed

Most of their toys are kept in a wicker basket in the "family room"

but when they are in their room they just love to draw

So she got them the craft table

Bc of the divorce mama pesto just lets them get away with it

she’s worried they’re traumatized

the puppy and kitty string lights are also a christmas gift from mom

She really likes to keep things clean and neat and tidy so there’s lots of storage and lots of their stuff is stored in the storage

lastly Jimmy-J won the boys those crappy fruit carnival toys and the twins really hold on to them

Mama pesto gave j-ju the biggest room

She feels really bad for him

He doesn’t have a twin (and she knows it bothers him)

(she does talk to his therapist yk)

He has the same carpet as the twins do in their room so that he doesn’t feel left out

his bed is green (it’s his fav colour)

and again, same lamp that the twins have

She also secretly likes how cohesive them having the same decor items makes the rooms look

he wanted a switch SO BAD for Christmas or his bday or ANYTHING

it took a lot of convincing but she got it for him

She’s really not too sold on video games but now he can play the same games as the kids at school and he won’t feel like such an outcast

(again, she really does talk to his therapist)

Jimmy also desperately wanted those shitty LED lights

but they do NOT match the aesthetic and she really did read up on them and they attract bugs and she just doesn’t think it such a good idea

but even ZEKE has them and oh my god she’s giving in

BUT she is able to make a compromise

Colourful LED string lights are almost exactly what he wanted

she likes to encourage reading

The twins just can’t get into it unless it has pictures and she’s the one reading it to them

But Jimmy jr can really get lost in a book when he wants to

so she’s really been pushing the classics like jane austin and Brönte

(he’s read the pride and prejudice twice don’t tell tina)

the toca world has this fake franchise of these little characters and i just use those as comic book/movie characters etc

so jimmy has posters of and collects these little dudes

sloth snake would be some band or something that zeke got him into lmfao

his mom is not a fan it freaks her out a little

no matter what i believe Jimmy Junior sleeps with his childhood stuffed animal(s)

she likes that he’s passionate about dancing but deep down she still wants him to play basketball

to get him involved in group activities

no matter how good you are at masking the symptoms of your depression, kei will always know when your struggling

usually he'll wait for you to talk to him, and support you to the best of his ability until you do

sometimes, tho, he'll gently probe you for answers. generally a quiet 'how're you doing, songbird?' or 'do you want to talk about it, chickadee??'

if/when you don't feel like chatting, or if your in non-verbal mode, he won't try to force you to talk. instead he'll do things according to your love language to show you how much he cares, and how much you mean to him

he'll 100% chat to you tho. he'll ask you if you want a hug and, if you nod that its ok to touch you, he'll wrap you up in his arms and wings. he'll ask if he can give you a smooch and, again if you nod that he can, he'll leave a big one on your forehead nows not the time for being intimate

the first thing you did when you and mirio started dating was to make sure that the two of you were 110% on the same page

that meant that you both had to open up about stuff that was kinda uncomfortable to talk about

and one of those things that you told him about was that you struggled all your life with depression

once you told him the general pattern of how your depression goes, the two of you both brainstormed ideas on how to best help you out

what you two came up with was: when mirio first notices you in an episode of depression (generally on the tail end of it), he'll ask you questions that are easily answered via nods and shakes of your head - so no questions along the lines of 'how was your day?'

usually to help you out, mirio will guide you to his dorm (after the school day, of course) where the two of you will cuddle together on his bed

you usually will take a little nap with mirio finishing up some school work and making sure his bag is all ready for the next day

then he'll gently wake you up, get you some food - usually consisting of your favorite fruits and veggies along with a small bag of chips, and then he'll make a nest of blankets on his bed where you two can cuddle back up and watch a couple of shows before curfew

once curfew is close to closing in, he'll walk you back to your dorm, where he'll make sure you have everything ready for the next day for school, and will also make sure your all set for the night

with that he'll give you a good night kiss with your permission, and then you'll part with a promise to hang out the next day

When I was 19, I tried alcohol for the first time. it was basically sparkling fruit juice but I hated it. oh god I hated it so much and I didn’t get why adults loved this stuff??????? but my friends/classmates were always like ‘oh yummy, love me some flavored nail polish” so I kept quiet so no one would know something was wrong with me

turns out everyone I knew was severely exaggerating (trying to fit in). one guy said he dumped his beer in the bushes during a frat party. a girl I went camping with poured water into an empty vodka bottle so she could ‘participate’ without anyone mocking her. a classmate once showed me their trick for pretending to sip by covering the top of the bottle with their hand. I even remember being 22 and trying to claim ‘8 shots don’t affect me’ as if my worth as a human being was calculated by the number of empty glasses I collected

Drinking is a rite of passage for a lot of people. you’re mature if you drink and adults love it, so you can’t be a ‘real adult’ if you don’t drink. It’s less about liking the taste or enjoying yourself - people want to feel part of the ‘in group’ and they do this by othering the ‘out group.’ (in group- likes ‘manly’ drinks, never gets tipsy, takes shots by the handful, etc.) (out group- lightweight, doesn’t drink at all, likes fruity drinks, etc.)

I have severe ADHD and a family history of alcoholism so I have to be extremely careful. addiction is no joke and people don’t treat alcohol like the drug it is. Some families won’t inform their kids of a health history that increases risk factors (or might not even know) which makes underage drinking even more dangerous

Fairy kingdom

Okay so the fairy nation started mainly so the fairies could have a safe area where they wouldn’t get attacked but other creatures (mainly bats and birds at this time) there were two advisers who saw over everything, two sisters, but eventually the two grew apart the younger because resentful of how much power the elder started to gain. So the nation was split in half for a while, one to the younger sister, and the other to older.

Eventually the younger started to make forces to invade and take over the elders land. This caused a war that lasted like; a few years, but eventually the elder sister won. And the younger was never seen again (she’s not dead tho dw) the kingdom ruled in peace for a few years, but the elder now queen of the land slowly became a tyrant. Causing a few fairies to plan a resistance group against her. Lead by my character silas and stuff

The queen doesn’t want what happened to her sister to happen again, and because of her popularity with winning the war, *almost* no one challenges her, and when they do it doesn’t end well (for example, My character Silas went and burned now a library to protest her reign and got her wing ripped off)

She’s desperate to make sure her power stays, because she believes she is the only one can keep fairy kind safe

A lot of fairies straight up worship the Queen, they see her as this divine being who will aid their every needs. They think of the land they reside in as holy, and think it should be untouched by anyone who isn’t a fairy, (so any other creature isn’t allowed in) As for how they keep other creatures out, the queen has special guards who job is to either kill as many things the try to get into the kingdom, or sacrifice themselves in order to get them to leave

Ever since the queen won the war, there had been a lot of peace, no one on the inside had to worry about other creatures harming them, and since ppl already viewed the queen as such a divine being, the view of the land itself developed

As for how fairies come to exist, None know for sure, it’s mainly speculation, they believe the queen spawned them in, as a way to either serve her, or as a reward of some sort (theyre born out of flowers btw)

The Queen and her Sister became rulers because she and her sister found the land in the first place, the magic in the area was stronger as well, so the two could master it easily so they had stronger magic than everyone else

They live in a sort of cottagecore like area. Kinda simple the tinker fairies place in tinkerbell,

A lot of things made from acorns leaves, and other stuff like that

They eat mainly fruits, but occasionally some fairies will find and sell stuff like chocolate but only rlly rich fairies are able to get them

A few holidays areee

The Givings of the Sun, where they all give gifts to the queen to honor her saving them during the war,

The Harvest festival, it celebrates a new harvest season, where fairies are able to play games and buy fruit and vegetables

Sparkles eve, where the queen puts on a light show with her magic, to celebrate her protection over the kingdom,

Coronation day, where new guards are announced to protect the kingdom

Most fairies have really natural clothes made of leaves or flowers, the only three who break these rules are the Queen (she has a dress specially made with the finest silk) I imagine she had it given to her by her citizens during one of the festival, made using a silk worm though, Silas (who made/found her clothes) and the guards, who clothes are made by the queen

I imagine there’s schools and daycares for the fairies to learn, it’s like regular school where they learn stuff like history, but they also learn extra stuff like how to fly.

It’s just like elementary/preschool but afterwards they’re able to venture out. Though some faires aren’t able to leave as easily, or are watched closely when they leave

During winters, They stock up on food when it gets cold! Unfortunately the land isn’t always in spring, and winter can hit them pretty hard, The daycares and schools usually take in fairies with no homes, there is a slight system for handling it, but mostly it’s just depends on you getting enough food to survive until the end

As for appearances, they kinda look like mini elves, with the exception that most has a mixed of colored skin, (think of vitiligo but with fantasy colors like blue and pink with glitter and sparks, these can either be rlly big areas of diff colored skin, or small areas like freckles)

Their wings are just like the wings from tinkerbell (cant work in rain, glitters, amits dust though they dont need the dust to fly in my vers)

They have a language called Tinkspeech it just sounds like a jingling bell to outsiders, but to the fairies it has meanings and understandings

I imagine all the homes would be on different elevations, fairies would be going about their business mainly buying stuff, the churches for the queen would be packed like usual, and if you were unlucky you’d see a back ally deal with some of the rebel fairies
