Wellll yes, she dies shortly after, but it only applies to people who HAVE died, and then you discover their identity!

So in Gabriel’s case, Adrien found out he was Hawkmoth AFTER he had sacrificed himself for Emelie, not before. So he would remember him.

But Marinette revealed her identity BEFORE she died, so people would still forget her!
