Do you know how SIMILAR Gumball and Nicole are compared to the rest?

Like it's such a cool detail how gumball and Nicole are two distinct characters who have their fun personality and personal depth but are so similar.

Like you can tell that these two are related.

Like seriously, in earlier seasons gumball was more similar to Richard, actually.

He was a sweetheart, naive and always trying to help people because he wanted to. He was very easy to bully and make fun of because he was naive and "stupid" like his father. the only difference is that Richard never stands up for himself, gumball doesn't. There were several times where gumball gets made fun of and he just screams at them to defend himself because there's no Nicole to defend him (and when he doesn't stand up for himself, penny does.)

Which is a trait he most definitely got from Nicole.

But later on? When he gets his iconic sarcastic personality? He's so much like Nicole.

there were many scenes in some episodes where he just is a tiny version of Nicole, it's actually kinda wholesome. Especially if you count that he looks up to her ( thinks she's cool) so he subconsciously mimics her (like children do, in the end. Especially because he didn't have an older sibling to look up to, unlike Darwin and Anais do.)

And like.

there was a point where he literally picked up trash the same size as him and threw it at his mother (because she had to take out the trash) and ended up throwing her and the trash out without much difficulty.

why can i not like things normally everything i either dont care about or its a personality trait

I do not like my hat, i love it so much that wear it literally every time i leave my house inside or outside and despite the fact that its a wooly hat i will wear it into july because i love it so much.

I do not like the colour purple, it is my favourite colour to the point that half of the things i own are purple and i genuinely see it as part of my personality.

I do not like spiritfarer, i love it so much that i have a mural based off of the game on my wall which took about a week to paint

I do not like spamton, i love him and the pieces of media he relates to so much that many people see me as "the spamton girl"

Do you have a timeline for when you believe the humans fell underground (including Chara + Frisk)?

Well not necessarily anything specific. just a few things that mark some VERY wide margings for what i have in mind

Chara fell in 201X, as per the calendar with the circled date.

This was after the Dreemurrs (and thus monsterkind in tow) already left Home to explore the rest of the mountain and settled in New Home. This is deduced by the wall writings in Waterfall, which bemoan the underground's inaccessibility, saying there's no way a human could ever make its way down there.

So New Home already existed (or was soon going to be founded, if the plaques were written while the monsters were still exploring) before any human had fallen into the Underground at all.

However! The childhood room in Home is referred to as Asriel's room in both the game files and in the art book (the screenshot is from the Home segment of the book)

Which would mean Asriel was born close enough in time to the monsters' banishment to be alive when they migrated further into the caverns (and to already have personal interests, like astronomy), and that he was likely snooping around his previous home in the RUINs by chance when he found Chara.

I think Chara spent a LOT of time with the Dreemurrs... but less so chronologically. They likely had reset powers like all humans who fall into the Underground as a consequence of their high DT (from the Undertale Legends of Localization book):

(I actually think this was the intended implication with their inappropriately light approach to death and pain, ie: laughing in that one videotape about making Asgore sick), so I like to think that, while they obviously stuck around for a long time, they techincally were only with the Dreemurrs for 1, maybe 2 linear years. Which would explain why they seem... hesitant to call them their child/sibling. From their perspective, it was too soon for those words at the time. Either that or Chara was uncomfortable with familiar terms for whatever reason. I tend to ping-pong between the two.

Chara dies and so does Asriel -> Asgore cringe comp -> Toriel bails.... And then bam, the next humans start falling down.

l think the entire affair took centuries in total. Surely a lot of time, enough for most commonplace monsters to have no idea what a human looks like

At LEAST one century, that is, but that is the barest minimum. There's this one line in the date with Sans at MTT resort when he's talking about his first meeting with Toriel:

Now I'm not saying Sans is aware of what's going on or that this makes incanon sense, but knowing UT's propensity for tragically poetic irony, this feels like one of those occasions.

I in my personal chronology, the humans fell either 1 or 2 per century, putting Toriel's exile between 300 and 600 years long.

The order? uhhhhh. dw about it

Thus, Frisk falls down in 2X15. Monsters are freed, everyone is happy. Yay yayay ^_^ yippee. The End.

Does it annoy you to have to answer the same/same types of asks multiple times?

I'm sure you get a LOT of asks and that a lot of them are similar in nature. And, while they have good intentions (and genuine curiosity) I do kinda worry it might just be super annoying for you to filter through your askbox when it's just the same few things over and over again.

Is there any way that newcomers can catch up on what your characterizations are like so you don't have to worry about it?

Your interpretations and characterizations are amazing to read and I love seeing all the ideas and opinions you have, but I do worry that it might get annoying to have to make long posts multiple times about the same exact things.

That said, make sure to rest and take care of yourself! Running a daily blog can be hard, especially with so many questions and reactions to your ideas that might grab your attention. <3

UNDERTALE AU INFO DUMP!!

Fineline is an undertale au that has been living in me and Bea's (writer for fineline and other stuff who is my irl bestie but doesnt have tumblr cuz shes a nerd) brain for the past 4 years and now it’s finally getting life.

Basically found family bad sanses with a lot of self inserts, random ocs I make them interact with, and a healthy dose of shipping.

Their physical designs aren’t too far from accepted fanon but I think their personalities are quite different.

Nightmare is a bit more chill and has massive gossipy wine aunt vibes.

Dust is just a tad stupid and the most extroverted of the group.

Horror is the resident chef and is a big softie with a scary face and no concept of societal norms.

Killer is the most different because he’s the calm, dead-inside always bored one, trying and failing to get the others to chill out.

It would be amazing to have asks for them to answer and be able to share their shenanigans with other people so I hope you guys like their silliness!

NOT a ship au dont worry. i would crumple. but the main premise was, Chara and Sans' soul got fused, and Asriel and Frisk's soul got fused. may change it up because at the time of making it we made our characters based on who we felt like! i felt a lot like a mix of sans and chara (because i was lazy and liked chocolate and was called the "fudge king" at school cause i'd always get fudge icecream bars) and my friend chose frisk and asriel, i dont remember their reasoning behind it. but they rp'd chara the most and basically identified as them for the longest time so really their fusion shouldve had chara in it lol. now-a-days i feel like all 4??? chara, sans, frisk, and asriel (i mean.. hehe i took asriel's name for my irl chosen name x3) Dandys World - ehehe not really sure what i wanna do for this one, maybe an ask blog for my star-time astro design? mayhaps also one for razzy dazzy?
