“hey heartbreaker, you'll never work in this town again”
I think someone is impersonating me online. Could be a joke. But if you talk to someone online and they say they are me, they aren't. I don't talk to anyone online. Texas is fun. We got some sick clandestine hoodies. They've got bats on the hoods and all. Sidenote: I love nickplan. Sorry my words don't have the same weight they usually have right now. Usually they feel stuck in my throat, today it feels okay inside my skin. Oh yeah chicagoland. We want to roadtest some of our new songs so we will be playing around unannounced on shows at really small venues in the next few months. If you snooze you lose. You never know what show we may play.

“we love life”
Texas was sex. Dallas being the most amazing. Its hot down here. We played with a band called DV8, this really young band (13-15). They were rad. The bassists bass was bigger than him. Me some rad kids in arkansas, they were starry-eyed and made me tongue-tied. I've been writing a lot lately. All my old charms and curses are back in full swing. I can't wait to get home. Well take these hearts and rename them dangerous and invincible. Well make them too hard to break.

“a man-made monster with every human emotion (clandestine explained 1)”
So a lot of people have been asking us about these hoodies and shirt with bats on them. It is not a clothing company. It is not a new band. When I was younger I had this same nightmare over and over again- so my friend tim biedron and I made a story of it (www.timbiedron.com to check out his art). The story is finished and we are waiting on some of the illustration. You may love it or hate it but its something that was stuck inside my head for a long time. We will be selling shirts and skatedecks online soon (www.clandestineindustries.com) and the story will be available this summer. Take the time to check it out if you get a chance.

“I want to sleep on portraits painted as perfect as you”
Thanks for fun on tour. For the record for those in freeport- we had a little bit of fun with you. I will not ever drink. Its not my thing. So if you think there was more than water in that beer bottle, I have a bridge you might wanna buy too.

“in case you're keeping score”
Being in a band is the ultimate friendship ruiner. Went to two shows tonight. In addition to all the smoke got to hang with: akas, beautiful mistake, dld, apo, senses fail and rufio. Being in a band is the best friendship maker. I am getting this awesome bass custom made, black with a red pick guard, no knobs, wired "on". I think it got me weird, so I dyed my hair red and black. Its sex or maybe not. I have 80 pages of lyrics to wade through. New songs soon. New love soon. Style update: I'm only gonna wear little polo tees with the collars up from now on. The clandestine webstore is almost up. I want to get "mom" tattoo for mothers day.

TW for rape and abuse.
To my grandmother who means well, but fails at it:
“Why would you want more tattoos,
They’re such a waste of money.”
I want to be flippant with her
Tell her, “Gee, really, I had no idea they were so expensive”.
I want to say, “I do it so that you’ll write me out of a will I never wanted to be in
To embarrass a family I’ve never felt a part of
Because you don’t pay my bills, I barely pay my bills
But this is where I want what little extra I have to go,”
But my New Year’s Resolution was to be less passive aggressive
Which means I can only be aggressively aggressive, so I tell her instead
That the first time I was raped
-And her eyes go all wide, because I am so carefully curated a construct,
I am only ever the parts of me I want her to see,
the way all of us are with our families, and this is not one of them-
But the first time I was raped I would wake in the night afterwards
And instead of the oogey-boogey ants-crawling-on-me that you get
Whenever there’s an unexpected bug in your house
I would feel the ghost of his fingers on my arms,
His mouth in the dips of my shoulder blades,
His knees pressing onto mine so acutely that it would throw me into a shower,
and that was Only the First Time.
For so much of my life my body has felt like a hand-me-down,
More husk. More shell. More a lease than a home that I own,
A lease that I cannot break,
Even though the landlord is kind of a cunt,
And I have done renovations out of my own pocket
I have taken out walls and built them back up,
I have torn down entire wings, shorn up the basement just to dig it back out,
I have spent more time than I can say standing in front of a mirror trying to remember
Exactly which parts of me have experienced a break in,
And if my body is a temple then for too long it has been
Abandoned.
When I think of myself, it is in past-tense for the most part, and
I Don’t Know what that means, but it isn’t something I write about in my journal;
the Sistine Chapel had Michelangelo,
I have Nichole at Iron Crown.
When I bore holes into the walls it is not with disregard to my security deposit,
When I paint over the stains and the watermarks on the baseboards it is not an attempt at beautification,
It is a reclamation of a space that I have never wanted,
That I did not ask for,
There isn’t even rent control, so some months I lay in bed and ignore the eviction notices on the door because
The landlord and I are casually acquainted, and we both know it isn’t an option
Even as we drunkenly stumble from room to room considering the option
To vacate early,
and I am so sorry I’ve got no Da Vinci to Last Supper me out of this depression,
I am sorry that my attempts at ownership read to you as mid-twenties rebellion,
I am sorry that the comfort that holds me together is not your loving embrace but the pain that I choose under various needles,
I am sorry that Monet isn’t available to paint the landscape of my anxiety for you,
But I do have Stephanie at DV8, and she does it even better.

Nathan's plug fell out when we were taking a shower last night. The back went down the drain but I got the plug itself before it could follow. I feel like it was my fault because of how I went behind his ears while washing his hair. But at least he didn't blame me, and I got the plug before it could go down the drain. Sure he would have been more bummed if THAT had also gone down the drain.
So we went to DV8 in Roseville so he could get a new back for it. When we got to the shop, we saw Jeffrey (his friend that I met before who does tattoos). He hugged us both. Lol, yesterday I posted on Jeffrey's timeline on Facebook that we drove by there and saw him outside the shop talking to someone (when we were on our way to Folsom lake).
Nathan talked to an artist that did his tattoos years ago named Ant, and rescheduled his tattoo appointment to June 5th, which was supposed to happen yesterday, but Ant never responded 🙄 Nate wants to cover up his Underoath tattoo and get full sleeves, and something on his hand. He said when he was little, kids used to make fun of how pale he is. And I said it's great because he's a blank canvas. And he can do colors because they'll actually show on him. Anyway, the same guy that pierced my nose back in October gave Nate the backs for his plugs, but by the time we got to the car, he tried fitting the backs on and realized they were too large. We got out of the truck and started walking back and then Nathan didn't want to go back in because it was too busy. So we drove around Roseville and searched about 3 different tattoo shops, one of which was tattoo only, and another one didn't have the right size backs. So, we drove BACK to one we had visited after DV8 where the guy tattooing a black woman said that the piercer there would not be back until 3:30PM. And we waited there like an hour and 5 minutes at the front on a bench and Nathan brought over some of the tattoo albums. He whispered to me how crappy the art was and we laughed under our breath at how bad a lot of it was. Finally, the woman who does piercing at that shop came back and she found the right size backs for Nate's plugs. They only cost him $4.
Then we stopped by Chipotle and Nathan bought me the vegan bowl. I got myself some chips and salsa and he got himself a turkey and chicken burrito.
We went back to the house and ate while watching The Office before walking Nero and then went to Walmart for more almond milk. We keep drinking smoothies. Just almond milk and frozen fruit is amazing! Nate puts peanutbutter in his. We came back and had our smoothies and watched The Office. Now Nate is sleeping like an old man and I'm going to shower soon and paint my toenails this beautiful yellow polish I bought yesterday at Ulta.
Lol I kept telling Nathan to go to sleep and he said, "No, because I have to worry about you running around and hurting yourself." He always makes weird jokes.
