i do like this in terms of a pov swap from this fic because it follows patrick from meeting pete to basically being crazy for him always and realizing pete feels the same around age 21 after cork tree

but flipping to pete's perspective you have him sitting through patrick's first real breakup in high school, whoever he wrote tttyg about in high school, watching temper tantrum after temper tantrum, watching his father come backn when he sees a little bit of success and dealing with that and i'm SORRY but that boy has daddy issues that pete is READY to fill that role

and pete knows better because he knows patrick is young and his mother tries sooo hard but there's a whole there that can be filled and pete is nothing if not opportunistic
