I still can't believe four years ago I heard a piano rendition of In The Rain on YouTube and was like "I'm gonna learn that. I haven't played the piano since I was ten but I'm gonna learn that." So I retaught myself the absolute bare bones basics of piano and then was like "this surely is enough fundamental knowledge to learn In The Rain now." And sure enough I learned the song. hello again everyone! I just want to thank everyone who interacted with the last post about the LEGO Newsies! I genuinely wasn't expecting it to take off like that! A lot of you asked for more, so this is a side by side between the actual Seize The Day dance break and our LEGO version. I hope you all enjoy!

i beg you to open your heart and see that evan & barty both exercise and it’s part of why they suck

barty: goes to the gym but does not take it even remotely seriously he dgaf. lazily mixing cookies & cream flavor protein powder into his gross plain yogurt and eating it standing up in the middle of the kitchen in his boxers. built long, mean, & lean like a hyena (!!). his back and shoulders are fucking unfair and evan wants to climb him. the only thing he regularly does is go for daily distance runs with his shitty old iphone strapped into an arm band & his wired earbuds

evan: yoga instructor. exercises but in the psychotic productivity/clean girl/patrick bateman “morning routine” way where he wakes up at like 5am, stretches, meditates, takes one thousand vitamins, and drinks some green concoction from his bullet blender made from pandora’s hippie superfoods, all with the most long-suffering expression on his face. pilates & flexibility. the first time barty saw evan going to yoga class in shorts & leg warmers he stared so hard he walked directly into a doorframe

like genuinely the thing about rosquez to me is that they still have so much fundamental chemistry. like they didn’t fall out because they hate each other or because they didn’t get along. they were friends ! they joked around ! they hung out outside of work and they talked and marc visited the ranch after many invitations and they were glued together at picture day in 2014 like they were FRIENDS ! and they fell out because they were too similar. because marc is the only bitch on earth that vale thinks might be on his level. because he was getting older and had to TRY for the first time and was terrified it wasn’t enough. because marc rides in the terrifying way that he does.

like outside of their sport, there’s no fundamental issue. BUT the problem is that their sport is such a HUGE part of them that it is the most important issue. and vale can’t separate it from himself like marc can. so there are periods where they’re around each other post divorce where they can shake hands and laugh and joke and that old chemistry shines through and marc lets himself think they might be able to reconcile, but vale won’t let them. because he can’t separate it out like marc can. drives me insane.

btw i fucking hate the nude makeup phenomenon because makeup is so feminized. at 8 years old youre exposed to makeup videos and its all about how to make yourself look different without people knowing. make your nose look smaller and face rounder and all this stereotypical beauty standard BULLSHIT. makeup should be for looking cool in a way that you couldnt normally. im talking big eyeliner dramatic eyeshadow heavy blush. it shouldnt be for teaching little girls that they need to look a certain way to be desirable
