seungcheol: the senior who manned one of the booths at your freshman orientation. did you join his club bc he was ridiculously attractive and made small talk with you? no comment. you follow each other on instagram but that’s probably about it <//3 definitely a campus crush that feels very unattainable but it doesn’t stop you from imagining what he’d be like as your a boyfriend

jeonghan: you walked past him once, and pretended you heard someone behind you calling your name just so you had an excuse to do a double-take. people this pretty existed?? and at your college/uni?? you told all your friends about him and after some snooping you managed to find his instagram. please just send that follower request, you have nothing to lose <3

joshua: i can totally see him being a student advisor omg!! so so so sweet, actually checks in on you often and is genuinely interested in knowing how things are going for you :’) does his best to give good advice, but as you became closer friends you became more familiar with his sense of humour and his advice got increasingly……interesting 😭 “your prof said what? next time trip him in the hallway!” “joshua nO” don’t do that

jun: sat in front of you in one of your courses last year, fell asleep during the lecture almost every single week. his friends gave up on keeping him awake halfway through the semester. you became friends after being randomly assigned to the same group for project and now you’re the friend who has to keep him awake during classes. he’s so cool though, and very witty and funny <3

soonyoung: even if you don’t know him personally, you always run into him on campus. grabbing a coffee at the cafe, goofing off with his friends in the quad, dozing off in the library…he’s friendly with everyone, even the grumpiest professors. you want to be his friend so bad, he just seems so fun to be around. also the only person you know who wears tiger print but he pulls it off!!

wonwoo: you have a class with him and he always sits in the back. so quiet and shy, barely talks to anyone but he’s really cute so you noticed him regardless. you got paired up for a discussion and found out how smart and well-spoken he was, and you guess he vibed with you too bc since then he started saving you a seat :’)) occasionally plays games on his laptop when the lecture gets boring, and angles the screen more towards you so you can watch <3

jihoon: a friend of a friend. you’ve never met but jun tells you so much about him, so it almost feels like you know him too. you follow him on instagram and occasionally he’ll post covers of him singing while playing the guitar. you offhandedly mentioned to jun that his voice is so pretty and soothing and much to your embarrassment he tells jihoon 😭 but it’s okay bc he’s setting up a hangout to officially introduce you both to each other!!

seokmin: the friend we wish we all had. you met on your very first day of college/uni when you had the same class. he initiated convo with you and was so sweet and friendly even though you could tell he was extremely nervous himself, protect him omg 💔 one of your closest friends to this day even if you don’t have the same majors. you enrol in random electives together and those lectures are always your favourite bc you sit in the back and goof off, just try not to get shushed too much <33

mingyu: spilled coffee on your shoes at the starbucks on campus 🙁 it’s not his fault it was really crowded and someone bumped into him causing him to bump into you!! also, he looked very guilty about it so you couldn’t find it in you to be mad. he pays for your coffee as an apology. he recognises you when you stand behind him in line two weeks later and jokes that he won’t spill anything on you this time. you became friends and now you understand why his close friends (affectionately) bully him so much bc he’s just a puppy trapped in a 6ft man’s body 🤧

minghao: literally the main character. he doesn’t walk, he struts and it works for him. so effortlessly cool and attractive. a huge motivating factor for showing up to that class is getting to see what his outfit for that day is. one time you mustered up the courage to compliment his shirt, and your heart swelled at how his face lit up immediately :’)

seungkwan: if you hear the sound of ice being shaken around in a plastic cup mid-lecture, 9 times out of 10 that’s him. he’s an iced coffee girlie he’s just like me. you became friends after he sincerely complimented you on how well you did in your midterm presentation 🤧 the sweetest most caring person ever, but he shows his affection by (playfully) judging you while sipping his iced americanos <3

vernon: took the seat across from you in the library one day while you were cramming for a test. has the coolest stickers on his headphones. you aren’t sure if he actually got any work done bc he seemed really into the music he was listening to. you accidentally made eye contact and he gave you a dorky little smile <3 you exchanged contacts the second time you happened upon each other at that very same table and he showed you a pic of his cat hehe

chan: this is sooooo self-indulgent bc i’ve had these thoughts for the longest time……he’s such a loser (affectionate) omg………..he sat next to you for a quiz and realised he didn’t have a pen 😭 blushed so hard when you offered to lend him a spare one before profusely thanking you. forgets to return it………..you thought you lost that pen for good but when he walked into class the next week, his eyes desperately searched the room looking for you, and with an sheepish smile he returned your pen along with a candy bar as an apology for forgetting…….he’s so cute i hate him so much🧎🏻‍♀️

balancing act fan anon here again 👋🏼 girl…… i will take anything that you got for this fic (i really may be the only feral gojo fan u got in ur fanbase 🥲)

one of my favorite parts abt writing balancing act is the idea that reader is seen as this total girlboss (in the least cringe way, i swear 😭) so she’ll sometimes be described as - or even describes herself - as that annoying antagonistic evil woman in the hallmark movies. you know, the one that the businessman male lead is engaged to but ends up dumping in favor of choosing the sweeter, nice small town girl instead. but a major part of balancing act is emphasizing how in relationships, there's sort of a part we choose to play when we enter them. so, we get a glimpse of this in the first chapter when reader is talking to utahime, and in the narration, it's mentioned that reader cannot believe that utahime's ex boyfriend broke up w her because he considered her to be "shy" and "demure" but it's commented that reader recalls utahime drunkenly choking out gojo during karaoke night when they were in college; there's nothing shy or demure abt that. and so u wonder (but never ask) about how utahime presented herself in that relationship.

some fun scenes + notes that i took for balancing act:

reader and gojo make intense, intimate eye contact and reader gets nervous, dare i say, thrown off balance, and he thinks you're going to say something sweet and you are thinking of saying something nice and genuine to him but what comes out is "you need to get some brown contacts. seriously." and then u walk off and ur like what the actual fuck did i just say that, why did i say that. he's thinking wtf too

reader is kinda ass at cooking, so u go to a convenience store nearby ur apartment but that one closed down (a recurring anecdote LMAO), so u resort to going to a 7/11 that GOJO happens to go to often and you know how there's like a section where u can cook the ramen or food u purchased and ur just sitting there eating, decompressing after work, and out of the corner of ur eye, who do u see? GOJO

cue awkward, accusatory "what are you doing here?!" against his "me? i live like two blocks from here, and i'm here every week, what are you doing here?" and ur like "every week? that is so not the brag you think it is." despite the fact that reader's dinner like 3x a week is instant ramen heated up in a convenience store microwave

and reader is kind of embarrassed bc u feel like this is something lame of u, almost shameful, because again, appearances to u matter. but gojo is fucking loaded and u see the fancy takeout he gets for lunch in the office so ur confused as to why he's eating instant spicy noodles and using the same public microwave you just used, and he's like, well, the food here is really cheap

and ur like "yea cause it's packed w preservatives and chemicals." and hes like "well u seem to be enjoying ur preservatives and chemicals." and ur like "yes. they say u should eat ur skincare. this is cheaper than botox. im gonna be so preserved, i'm going to look this way forever." and now, ur once a week ritual is to sit next to each other and eat instant ramen

blah blah blah, this is abt how there is no performance when it comes to each other; although, maybe it'll be touched on/mentioned that in the beginning stages of you two being in the process of opening up to each other, there is still a level of performance going on (re: reader immediately trying to turn the embarrassment u feel abt herself by "shaming" gojo for doing the same exact thing only to end up enjoying his company and doing said activity together. maybe something abt how u two always exchange this performance (insulting each other) like it's a type of pleasntry; their own little version of a "hi, how are you" type thing)

short scene immediately after is a convo w him and geto, where geto asks whats got him so happy and gojo is like "we're getting botox together."

and the whole point of ur relationship and why it’ll work and why it’s just so different is that between the two of you, y'all have both always been performative in ur respective romantic relationships (to a certain extent)

but w gojo, reader is unabashedly and sometimes even embarrassingly yourself, your full self, in front of him and when we finally get to month three of the story, you're trying to seduce him, so u get all dressed up

and gojo knows ur trick and he stays strong but what gets him to snap and give in

is when he sees u in the morning, making coffee, no makeup, messy hair, wearing his shirt

ALSO, u tell gojo he's annoying bc he makes u laugh all the time which makes ur makeup crease around ur smile lines + gojo says softly, hidden by the sounds of ur laughter, "but i like ur smile lines. i like your smile"

gojo can be a sweetiepie, reader just needs to have a breakdown in front of him

i wouldn't say it's angst, i think both need to have their own moment of self reflection to be like ok damn, this is who i am as a person. and again, you're both used to being performative people

you'll have a moment where you're close to each other, and the conversation turns serious and maybe even oddly sweet, and reader's "instincts" just kick in and so u back away, both physically and figuratively, trying to change the subject

and i think an important aspect is that this is out of gojo's comfort zone as well; he can joke around, he can be a (poor) flirt, he teases, and so he's putting himself out there by also engaging in serious convo w you, in being the most open about himself

and so it's v hurtful to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to believe that you can really let him in and that it's worth putting himself out there

and so, rationally, he can only handle being shut out (while also feeling like he's being thrown aside) for so long

so cliche, he's drawing back and now you're the one who has to do the pulling him in while he's somewhat pushing you out

just, moral of the story, u can't expect someone to love u unless you show up with your full self in tow and allow them to know you

and being a #corporategirlboss isn't as much fun as buzzfeed articles will have u believing

and so i think you are v focused on ur looks as well

and u two go on a business trip

and ur luggage goes missing which contains ur makeup bag

and ur like tweaking tf out LMAO

life update !

my besties apologies for being inactive again 🥲 if i were to be transparent, it's because of the struggles of being a fresh graduate and a first time job seeker 🤧 it's been something that i have been dealing with and having self-doubts with too but anyways, i'm here to stop by and say that i just got hired to a company last week and tomorrow's my onboarding!!! which means i'm officially now a working girlie!!!

that said, i might become further inactive as i go adjust to this new chapter of my life hehehe. my job position involves a lot of writing (i am a content writer so pls pray that i'll always have brain cells to use for this job lmao) which might mean that i also won't have the energy to write for my two series or write new fics for a while 😬

but i do think that once i adjust and maybe feel less anxious about life, i'll warm up to writing again and post more! 💗

that's all hehehe,, it's crazy to think that i started being an active fic writer during my 1st year in college and now i'm part of the corporate world??? AHHCK 🥹🥹🥹

since palletshipping week is almost here, I’ll share some hcs!

Gary:

• I already mentioned this on my twitter, but his pendant from his first outfit (OS-Chronicles) was originally his late father’s 🥲

•His parents passed when he was about 3 years old. He has vague memories of his parents, but knew that they loved him :(

• His maternal grandparents live in Johto! He didn’t really get to see them in person for the first time until he journeyed to the region. The reason why is because his grandparents don’t like to travel and they are EXTREMELY old school so they don’t have rotom phones/video phones.

•His sister, Daisy is a Pokémon breeder in Paldea! She used to be a coordinator but wanted to take a different path after traveling a few regions. She now likes to style pokemon for contests :)

• Gary ends up doing online college for his Bachelor/Masters degree so that he can stay with Ash.

• His father passes when he was about 4 1/2 years old. Gary, knowing the feeling of losing a parent, comforts his during this time. (note: i know the canon AU implies that is dad is living. I’m basing the hcs off of the regular canon)

• one of his earliest memories with his dad is watching one of the Pokemon league competitions on TV

•pretty sure i mentioned this on twitter as well but, Ash eventually gets tired of the monotony of being a defending world champion, which leads into his existential crisis at the age of 14

• He likes to sleep in LATE on weekends. Poor guy isn’t used to working full time 😔

Both

•they start dating at the end of their time in Paldea. They’re about 15-16 during this period. Let’s just say that their experience in Area Zero may have expedited the confessions.

•They get engaged when they’re 21.

•they get married a year later at Oak’s Corral so that all their pokemon get to see them get married 🥹

•about 10 years into their marriage, they adopt a young girl named Luna (I’ll talk about her in a future post)

•if they can’t come to an agreement on what they should have for dinner, they battle!

Blog Update!

Hello to all my followers! 💖

I apologize SINCERELY for this long hiatus that I was just on! I had some MAJOR life changes happen in the last month that left me spread too thin.

Last month, my college decided to inform me that my degree was actually NOT completed like I was originally told and that I was no longer grandfathered into my program and now I need to go back and take additional classes. So, that was the first punch to the gut.

When my employer found out about that, I was let go since I no longer met the qualifications for the job (even though I had been working there for over a year).

So, I had to do a frantic job search since student loan payments don’t stop (fuck student loans). That took up most of my time for about two-ish weeks.

I found a new job and started it, I’m currently in my third week of this job. I’m the administrative assistant to the CEO/President of an international medical supply company now. (It’s very fanfic i have to say) and I’m taking the job day by day. My pay is more here but has nothing to do with my “degree” so… we’ll see where it goes.

But, I had to go through SEVERAL interviews and applications. I think I applied to somewhere around 200 jobs and only had 5 or so callbacks.

Also, I’m fighting with my university about this fucked up news they gave me to try and figure that out.

I am so sorry that i basically dropped off the face of the Earth with no news— trust me I feel horrible about it.

A lot has been going on so I really haven’t had a chance to sit down and write even though I’ve wanted to. I still have so many ideas and updates I want to give but that was all put on pause for a little bit.

Starbula Week, Day 5: Alternate Universe and Day 6: Family / Holiday

This weekend has been crazy busy, so I guess I’m just combining the two most recent Starbula Week days for the price of one 😅

Basically, this is just a continuation of my post last year that explored the future daughter (Meredith Quill) that I imagine Peter and Nebula having. I won’t rehash it all here, but basically I picture her looking like Millie Bobby Brown, just blue (like…tell me there isn’t *some* resemblance here)

At the time, I didn’t realize that Millie was actually going to be starring in a movie with Chris Pratt (made by the Russo brothers, no less), called The Electric State, which will be releasing in 2025. And now that promo is starting up for it, my Starbula brain is quite delighted 🤭

So in today’s combo Starbula Week post, I’ll both share my headcanon about how an AU Meredith and Peter could fit into the visuals and plot of The Electric State…and, first, some recent press tour photos that look like Peter hanging out with his young adult daughter and make my heart happy 🥲💗

I’m sorry, this is STUPIDLY CUTE. I’ll also just assume that Peter recently lost a bet and had to shave his beard, since otherwise I can't think of why he'd be without his lovely facial hair from Vol 3 😤

Ok, so now for the Starbula/The Electric State AU!

I will admit, basically the only Starbula element here is the fact that she and Peter are married with an adorable daughter who is now in college on earth 😅

Also, I know nothing about this movie aside from what I've seen in the trailer! Everything here is 100% vibes lmao

So in this AU, somehow Peter and Meredith get stranded in a robot apocalypse and have to work together to save the world/escape/rescue Nebula/etc. I actually think it’s a cute concept in general, because how many father-daughter buddy-adventure films are there? 

Ok, here we go...

Meredith's first semester of college has just ended, and Peter comes to earth to bring her back home to Knowhere for winter break. Nebula can’t make it because an important work trip came up that she couldn’t reschedule, which is why she’s not on this adventure lol 🙃

On the way to Knowhere, the two get intercepted and basically kidnapped/trapped on this planet where robots have taken over. (And this is the only universe where this happens, hence it being an AU.) Maybe Meredith and Peter's ship get captured and brought to the planet via tractor beam, maybe it gets boarded and they're forced on to the robots' ship, idk. But clearly these robots had been looking for them…😱 *cue suspense*

Once Meredith and Peter are on the planet, they realize that they can’t escape or call for help, since this advanced robot tech is jamming all of their own technology. They somehow manage to escape their captors, and are now on the run in this strange planet, without a way to call Nebula or the Guardians to rescue them. They end up here for several weeks (months?), hence Peter’s hair getting shaggy and Meredith having a super 90’s hairstyle. (In reality, I think the movie is just set in an alternate 1990’s lol) 

In the meantime, they learn how to work together as a father/daughter duo. Peter reluctantly teaches Meredith how to use a gun and fight, and, after feeling sheltered and coddled by her parents her whole life, Meredith finally feels like she’s being respected and treated like an equal by her dad.

(Of course, who can blame Peter and Nebula for coddling their daughter and wanting her to have a safe, sheltered life, after the childhoods they had both had?)

Also, since there seem to be some nice robots that they team up with in this movie, I guess during their adventures, they end up gathering a little team of friendly robots who want to overthrow the evil robots who are in charge of the planet.

Eventually, Peter and Meredith learn the backstory of these robots, and why the two of them have been brought here. The robots were originally made on earth, or some earth-like planet, that had decided to scrap the idea of sentient robots entirely and sent them all into space, where they crash-landed on this random planet and eventually took it over.

(Maybe the evil leader robots want to take over the universe – typical 🙃 – in retribution for being cast out by their creators, and the nice robots just want to live in this planet in peace, but are being forced to cooperate with the evil, in-charge robots or be taken apart...)

Meredith and Peter also learn that they’ve been kidnapped and brought here as bait for Nebula, who the robot leaders have been enthralled with ever since they’d learned about her – a being who is both mostly robot and is alive. They'd decided that by holding her family ransom, she’d be forced to give herself up in exchange for their safety. What these robot leaders actually wanted with Nebula, Peter and Meredith still aren't sure.

But once Peter and Meredith are eventually kidnapped, Nebula (who has, along with the rest of Knowhere, been distraught for weeks at the disappearance of her family) is sent a message: Unless she comes to their planet, alone, within 24 hours, her daughter and husband will be killed. 

Nebula's arrival on the planet basically starts the climax of the "movie," where she learns that the robot leaders’ goal is to finish her “upgrades,” making her 100% robotic like them. That way, she can be a sort of god for them as they fulfill their "destiny" of wiping out the universe of non-robotic creatures. (The more I thought about this scenario, the more this actually seemed like an MCU-esque mission/galaxy threat, lol.)

Meredith, who is restrained next to her dad, tries to convince her mom not to go along with the exchange and to escape while she still can. However, when a guard begins torturing Meredith in front of her, Nebula distraught, agrees to all of their terms. Of course she’d do anything to protect her daughter. 

And then, of course, they all somehow get out of it 🤪 Maybe Meredith and Peter's new robot friends, who had always been undervalued by the more advanced robots that took charge of the planet, are able to sneak Meredith a gun and she is able to kill the robots holding her captive and free herself, Peter, and Nebula. Then, once they’re all free, the trio – plus their robot friends – are able to destroy the robot leaders for good and free the rest of the planet from their control. Yayyyy

And in the process, the Meredith and Peter (and Nebula!) of this AU have gotten to grow closer, having survived a robot apocalypse and even saved the galaxy together. 

So there you go! My extremely random Starbula AU...with visuals to go with it! 😉

I really do love that no matter how the movie turns out (even though it sounds like the relationship between Millie and Chris’ characters is central to the plot, which is amazing), it will definitely have some fun visuals and vibes to fuel this AU that I've come up with. Can't wait for March 2025! 🥳

Give Me back my Son

Based/Inspired off of @llondonfog potion!au because I wail on the inside every time I think about it 🥲 I also can’t think of a good title rn. It’s 11pm rn I can’t think and wrote this quick out to get it out of my head. Probably some grammar mistakes

Lilia watched from the stands as Vargas introduced the start of the tournament that Night Raven College and Royal Sword Academy held each year, switching the stadium from school to school each year. He would have watched with anticipation this year as Sebek was in the tournament this year but he couldn’t bring the heart to be excited at all.

Not without his son Silver…

No less than three months ago, everything was fine. He was happy, his son was doing well. Sebek still argued with Silver. Malleus talked to the Ramshackle Perfect about Gargoyles. It was all perfect and he was happy. Then his son disappeared.

It was the evening, he had been in the lounge, patiently waiting for his son to come back. He had assumed Silver must have fallen asleep again. No worries there, Silver usually managed to wake up and come back before it struck midnight.

It was past 11pm now. Silver wasn’t back. Strange. Lilia frowns and goes to search for his son.

He searches all over the places where Silver would most likely be at. He found nothing. It was as if Silver disappeared without a trace…

Lilia felt his stomach drop. How could Silver have just disappeared just like that? He alerts Malleus and Sebek about Silver’s disappearance and they assist Lilia in trying to find Silver.

It’s nearly 1am now. They still haven’t found a trace of Silver at all.

“Lilia…it isn’t like Silver to just disappear.” Malleus says. “He could have been…”

“Kidnapped?” Lilia finishes miserably. Malleus nods. Lilia didn’t want to believe it, but he knew it was the only possible option left. Who dares try to steal the former general’s precious son from him?

A week had passed by, news of Silver’s disappearance had spread like wildfire. Crowley had given Lilia, Malleus and Sebek permission to leave school grounds to search for Silver.

After going through the magic mirror they agreed to go to the Shaftlands first to search for Silver. They had searched for quite some time. Then Lilia managed to secure a clue. Fragments of an old kingdom were found in the north of the Shaftlands. They headed to the north.

Lilia had seen a brown haired human confronting them as the human asked what they’re purpose was so far in the north. Lilia took note of the insignia. The same insignia of the kingdom Lilia helped destroy…

Malleus had explained to the human that they were simply trying to find someone. A person named Silver. Something inside Lilia suddenly snapped. This guard…he remembered taking him down but not killing him before he found…Silver…

The brown haired guard was the one to take Silver.

Lilia remembered suddenly shouting at the guard in rage. Demanding him to give him his son back. He would have gone even farther to killing the guard if it weren’t for Malleus telling him to calm down as they needed the information. The sly guard had slipped away during the commotion.

Eventually, Queen Maleficia ordered Lilia to go back to Night Raven College as this kidnapping had happened close to her grandson. Though upset, he complied and returned to the college. He did know the queen did have a soft spot for his son and took a guess that perhaps she would help in one way or another to find his missing son.

Two months had passed since Silver’s disappearance. It was as if it disappeared from thin air without a trace.

Now here they were again. At the tournament. Lilia sat besides Malleus who placed his hand on his caretaker. “We will find him.” Malleus says to Lilia.

The tournament begins. The representatives for Royal Sword Academy come out. One of them made Lilia’s heart drop in an instant.

A 17 year old boy comes out of the tent fitted in Royal Sword’s uniform as if he always belonged there. He had silver hair tied up in a low ponytail and auroral eyes.

It was as if the world decided to drop his son back to the world.

His son…Silver…

Lilia wanted to get up and just fly over to Silver but his bats did it before him. They suddenly flew over to the RSA’s representatives, many of them shrieking and taking cover. He heard them muttering about this being a sabotage. He doesn’t care, all he sees is his son. His son with his bats who are happy to see him again.

It takes all of Malleus’s strength to hold Lilia back from jumping over the railing to join his bats. Malleus told Lilia that they can wait once intermission arrives upon them to see Silver. Lilia nods absentmindedly. All he can think about is that his son was back. His most precious son. The one thing that lights up his world. He hears about Sebek confronting Silver and that Silver didn’t seem to remember Sebek at all.

Lilia frowns at that.

What did they do to you, Silver? He wonders.

Intermission arrives and Lilia immediately leaves the stands to find his son. What a coincidence for him to run into him soon after.

“Ah, you must be the student that owns the bats.” Silver says. “I just want to help return them to you.”

Lilia smiles warmly. How thoughtful of his son!

“What is your name?” Silver asks.

“Lilia. Lilia Vanrouge.” Lilia replies. From what he can tell, Silver seems to have his memories wiped clean. Who would do this to him?

“It’s nice to meet you Vanrouge-San.” Silver says as he gives back the bats.

“Please call me Lilia, no need for honorifics.” Lilia says as he pats one of his bats on their head. The bats were sad that they had to leave Silver. He understood their feelings.

“Silver. There you are.” Lilia’s blood freezes. He knows that voice…

Silver turns around and greets a certain brown haired guard. “Ah hello Andrei.”

Andrei looks at Lilia. “Who is he?” He asks Silver.

“Ah that’s Vanrouge-I mean Lilia. I met him when returning his bats to him.”

“I see…” Andrei’s eyes lingered on Lilia as he placed his hand on Silver’s shoulder.

“Uh-Andrei is my guardian, ever since my parents died.” Silver explained trying to ease up the sudden awkward silence.

“Guardian…? I See.” Lilia says, trying not to sound angry. How dare Andrei. How dare he take his son and claim him as his guardian. He did this. The vampire fae restrained himself from attacking the guard and kept his cool. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Andrei” he says.

Andrei looks at him stiffly. “Pleasure is all mine. Come Silver, you must have your daily tea now.”

Tea, huh. Lilia could see the grimace coming from Silver but he nods and bides goodbye to the old fae.

Lilia stands there utterly shocked and angry. He’s angry at Andrei for taking his son away. He’s shocked that his amnesiac son now attends RSA.

But that doesn’t matter right now. No matter what, he’s fueled with a new mission. He’s going to get his son back no matter the cost. Getting his memories back? Not a problem. All it costs is Andrei's blood…

So... Hi Y'all! No amount of apologizing and half-ass excuses can justify my absence and inactivity. The last time I posted something was either in June or July, can't really remember.

Anyway, I'll update y'all on where I've been for the past 4 months. So the reason why I haven't been able to post anything was because I ended up burning myself out from writing. It was unfortunate because I had so many WIP that were close to being finished but I just couldn't write at the time and finish any of them no matter how much free time I had.

I also was dealing some things in preparation for my move-in day. The reason I was able to write a lot and get back into writing was I took a gap year after graduating community college before I transfered over to a college in Chicago. During the gap year, I was getting my life sorted out and I got back into writing since 2021. I had a lot of free time and I really dedicated it into writing. I was dealing with a lot on my plate and I couldn't come back because I like to take the whole day to myself to write. I started school the first week of August and haven't had any time to focus on my WIPs.

The reason why I can post this is I have an upcoming assignment for one of my class where we have to make a blog post including a mock post. So, I will be active for a bit on here because of my assignment and using this blog as an example. I probably won't really be active until December for winter break. There's never a day where I miss writing for you guys and your support! Again, I'm so for being radio silent for a third of the year and not fulfilling my promises. Confessions

Today was like any other day in your college classes, being absolutely bored out of your mind, listening to the teacher ramble on about something… cells you think? Who knows, the only thing you know was that you were on the verge of a well deserved nap…

That was until there was a hand on your shoulder, lightly shaking you. You startled awake and turned to the owner of the hand. And when you did, you came face to face with an equally startled Aster, the shyest boy in the class. How you two became friends was a mystery to the rest of your classmates, and sometimes, even to you. But you don’t regret it for a second.

In the middle of the first semester, a new student, Aster, joined your class. He was incredibly shy, never talking to anyone, choosing the only empty desk in the class in the very very back of the class, alone. If someone did try talking to him, he would stutter out an excuse, pretend to not hear you and speed walk away, and would even sit in the library during lunch to avoid people. You noticed a lot of things about Aster just by watching him, he had piqued your interest after all.

The things you noticed weren’t too surprising. First off, he either didn’t have any friends on campus, or just didn’t have any at all, making you feel sorry for him. Second, he hated being touched by anyone. He would always flinch away from people coming too close to him, and even waited in classes long enough for the halls to empty a bit before going to his next class. And finally, he didn’t socialize, (shocker, huh?). And after watching Aster carefully for a month or so, you decided to try and be his friend!

..Which is easier said than done. He would always walk away from you whenever you tried to talk to him, which made you frustrated, but even more determined to befriend him. It finally happened when you decided to follow him to the library for lunch, and asked if you could sit with him during lunch. And ever since that day, you’ve been friends.

And today, you two were gonna have lunch in the library like normal, but you had a surprise for Aster. Today, you were going to confess your growing feeling for the shy raven haired boy. How you might ask? Well, you had been planing this for about a week, and finally decided to make Aster cookies, put them in a nice bag with a note to give to Aster in the library, knowing how shy he can be around a lot of people.

You snapped out of your thoughts of how you were going to confess to Aster when he stuttered out something. “I.. uh.. s-sorry.. I d-didn’t mean t-to..” He said, looking away, quickly pulling his hand away from you, bringing it to his chest. You shake your head, giving him a soft smile before responding, “No no, you’re fine Aster. All you did was startle me.” You had to say it gently, reassuringly to make sure he didn’t overthink and get stuck in his head.

Aster looks surprised when you reassure him, and gives you a look of wonder. His cheeks start to turn a soft pink color, his eyes wide when he looks at you. You nod, silently hoping that Aster wasn’t doubting himself like he used to do at the beginning of your friendship, and believed you.

You suddenly remembered about your plans to eat lunch in the library, and wanted to double check with him. “Oh yeah! Are we still going to eat lunch in the library?” Aster hesitates to respond, almost in awe of your attitude towards him. Once he finishes his hesitation, he gives a quiet nod, then gives you a soft smile that makes your heart melt without fail. “Y-Yeah, we are..” When he responds, there’s a hint of nervousness in his voice and body language, showing that he’s still worried that he’ll do something that’ll make you angry, or dislike him. But you give him a reassuring smile, so warm and full of kindness.. “Great! I’m excited!” You tell him, both showing how excited you were, but not too much so you don’t spook him. Aster smiles, feeling at ease thanks to your eagerness. It even gives him confidence, despite his normally shy demeanor.

“I’m a little excited too..” He says quietly, but the happiness in his voice still shown.

~At the end of class~

Once the bell rings, signaling the end of class and the beginning of lunch, you pack up your stuff, and wait for Aster to be ready to leave the room. Aster walks up to you once he’s done packing his stuff up. “Ready to go?” You ask, wanting to make sure Aster was ready before just leaving. And he was surprised when you did, instead of just deciding for him. “I’m… Well, I’m ready.” He says, and starts to walk alongside you. “The library, right?” You nod, “Yep, and~ I got a little surprise for you!~” you pull out a small decorative bag and show it to Aster.

Aster’s eyebrows raise curiously, eyes wide as he stares at the mysterious bag. “What is it?” He sounds nervous when he asks, not used to getting presents. But if it’s from you, he’ll appreciate it, whatever it is. “You’ll just have to wait until we get to the library to find out!” You exclaim, there’s a pep in your step now, adoring the curiosity in Aster’s face.

Aster smiles at your joy. Even though he may be anxious about what’s inside of the mysterious decorative bag, it was an enjoyable thought to him.

As you two walk to the library, there’s a silence around you, a comfortable one, leaving Aster with a small smile on his face. “I hope I like it,” Aster spoke again, making an effort to keep the conversation going. Although he’s quiet about it, he’s trying, for you.

“I hope so too, I spent a couple of days thinking about this, and only decided on one idea yesterday..” You admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of your neck with the hand that wasn’t holding your gift to Aster.

Aster was surprised at how long you had planned this little gift for him, but was flattered at the same time. He wasn’t used to it. And he wanted to pay the favor back, but wasn’t sure how to. The best thing Aster could think of at the moment was to try and express how much it meant to him. “Thank you, truly. That means a lot to me, no one has ever spent that much time on a present for me.” You could hear the gratitude in his voice, as clear as day.

You blushed at how sweet Aster was about his gratitude, but look away before he can see it. “Gee… now I’m really anxious for you to open it,” you muttered under your breath, just as you both reach the doors to the library.

“Don’t be.” Aster said quickly, reassuringly. Your comment about being anxious made his heart beat faster, still not used to people caring about him. “I’m sure I’ll love it. The thought alone makes me love it already.” He smiled warmly at you, giving you even more reassurance than before with that smile and his kind words.

You blush again, deeper this time, not once expecting Aster to hear your muttering. But you smile anyways, walking towards your usual table on the corner of the library, and sit down with Aster taking the chair across from you.

Aster is smiling a bit from the light pink color of your cheeks. He feels more at ease seeing you smile, your happiness spreading to him, making him less anxious. “You have no idea, how much you mean to me,” Aster says quietly, his face lightening up with a small smile of his own. He always seems to have a calm and relaxed demeanor when he’s around you. “I’m very lucky to be allowed to call you my friend.”

Your blush grows impossibly deeper. You look away quickly, and slide the mystery bag over to Aster. “H-here… I uh, hope you like them…” Aster opened the bag to reveal chocolate chip cookies. They were cooked long enough to not fall apart in your hands, but not too long for them to still be soft and melt in your mouth deliciously.

When Aster saw what was in the bag, a huge smile lit up his face. “You baked these?” He asked, looking even more excited than before. The cookies were perfect, Aster wasn’t sure if he wanted to eat the cookies or stare at them in awe forever. “They look great!”

You nodded, smiling shyly at the praise, then remember that there was something else in the bag Aster had yet to take notice of. “There’s a, um… a n-note in the bag..” The mentioning of the note surprised Aster, his face lightening up even more. “You wrote a note as well? You’re so sweet!” He seems so genuinely surprised, but also touched that you did all of this for him. Aster reaches into the bag and pulls out the note carefully.

“Can I read it?” He asked softly, wondering what was in the note. You nodded, looking away as he opened the note, reading this:

”Aster, since the moment I laid eyes on you, there was something about you that drew me in. I remember the day I walked up to you and we started talking as if it were yesterday. That moment was the start of an amazing friendship, (in my very humble opinion at least.) But lately, I felt my feelings for you… changing…. not in a bad way though. But I think I.. like you, Aster… But it’s completely fine if you don’t feel the same way! I just.. wanted to tell you how I felt…”

Aster was quiet for a moment as he reads the note, his cheeks turning pink as his eyes widen, seemingly speechless. A few tears escape his eyes as he quickly gets up from his chair and walks over to you, wrapping you into a tight hug. He doesn’t even need to tell you how he feels, his actions being all the answer you need.

“T-Thank you so much.. I like you too..” He says softly between sniffles. You gasped at the sudden hug, not quite expecting it since how Aster avoided being touched by absolutely everyone at all costs. But after you got over your shock, you slowly, but hesitantly, wrap your arms around him as well, feeling a few tears roll down your cheeks as well from all of the emotions you’re feeling.

Despite Aster’s usual avoidance of touch, he hugged you for a good while as you both shed tears of joy in each other’s embraces. He holds you tight, putting every ounce of love and affection into the hug he possibly can, letting you know silently how much he cares about you and your growing relationship, but he slowly pulls away from the hug and holds your hands in his gently. When you look at his face, his cheeks are pink with tear streaks running down them with a gentle smile to bring it all together.

No drama has been interesting to me for a while, I tried to watch Tere Bin but pretty sure I only got up to episode 10 🥲 So many dramas are in my DNF category but Mohabbat Ghumshuda Meri has me hooked yet pissed at the same time. Honestly, what kind of zidd is this? Saim & Zobia took a stand for their love & how did Zobia’s family react? By fixing her engagement with someone else ; Roshna not telling her until a day before her assumed engagement with Saim was so wrong. I’m sorry but what sin have they committed? I know it’s Pakistan, but come on yaar, they have been screaming since the beginning that they liked one another and no one listened to them ; “bacha hain, abhi kuch bhi nahi pata” laanat on this type of thinking. One thing I will say is that the gaslighting and manipulation done by Zobia’s father is so typical desi baap with jahil thinking. You come to know that your daughter likes someone, she comes to you herself saying THIS is who I like, yet you ignore it all and fix her engagement to some random dude to save face? What face? Their relationship has only come in front of the immediate family, who for some reason, are harboring this hate and resentment towards their love without any valid reason. Both of them approached you guys to get them engaged so that no one dare raise a finger on you guys or their love. All you had to do was get them engaged and then marriage would’ve been down the line once they graduated college & settled in their careers. I feel for Saim and Zobia, I do. Because they have been giving solutions to everyone’s problems yet they’re being shut down or silenced. Ffs, they’re the ones that have to spend their lives with the one they choose, not the parents or any other elder, it’s between them and their choice which for some reason ghaas khane gaye hai. A big prop I will give to Saim’s dad is that after seeing the love that his son held for this girl and how painful it is for him to lose her, he said fuck it, I’m going to get my son his happiness. Saim’s mom is slowly reaching there as well but his dad won my heart when he left after consoling Saim to go talk to Zobia’s dad. He tried his hardest to make him understand, to stop the engagement, but to no avail and it sucks because in the beginning, seeing how well Zobia got along with her dad and how protective he was of her and her feelings ; it seemed that he’d go to any ends for her happiness but sadly, that wasn’t the case. Abh, we gotta wait until next week cause MY BOY SAIM DID NOT PLAYYYY when he said he ain’t letting that engagement happen and TYG that he got there on time. Even after Zobia’s “to be” in-laws find out that she loves someone else and he loves her, I just know her family is gonna do some stupid shit still and stand in their way. Pyaar hi toh kiya hai yaar, yet I love how their love is shaking the world and how much they’re fighting to make everyone realize that they love each other and cannot be without one another. Yeah, Zobia had some hiccups when it came to some things such as not speaking up during the proposal Saim initially sent with her consent but I feel for her when she did that. That was the first her family besides Roshna were hearing that their relationship was more than just friendship. Everyone questioning her put her on the spot yet when it came down to it after Daaniyal’s nonsense, she stood her ground which was just 👏🏼 shabashhhh! I’m excited to see what next week’s episode will hold - I just know that Zobia’s family will do dumb shit instead of listening to her once again but the development from Saim’s family excites me the most because they’re finally listening to Saim and they’re supporting him and his love, no matter what ��� Chalo yaar, raat bohot hogaye hai. Regarding the poll: I went to college, got a job in college in the first few weeks. That was 9 years ago, I’m now doing my PhD and teaching at university. I just realised I did both. God I’m tired 🥲

That's like a part time job during college tecunically but also I would be so exhausted😖 rip you. I used to glorify academia but now I know better and you guys work HARD
