It’ll still be a wait for these babies to reach me, but I’m vibrating with anticipation to have them in my hands 🤲 They’re so smol & I think they came out pretty cute. Bunny Shizuo and Izaya to celebrate Spring/Easter!

Title: Petit

Circle/author: QQaid and Shoujou/Kuro and Cloe

Characters: Izaya and Shizuo (and alts) with brief appearances by other characters

Pairings: Shizaya and Shizaya alts

Summary: Several short stories centered on Shizaya. (One of them is the Raijin gang playing Monster Hunter for which I had no previous experience with prior to this scanlation so there might be a few mix-ups in terminology.)

I'm going to try to get Peaceful Bio-Observations done in April and maybe a section from an anthology, but I have May already planned to include two birthday books for Izaya (one is nsft and won't be posted here... officially) as well as a lengthy book for a friend's birthday later in May.

I'm undecided on whether or not to do a poll for what anthology story, so otherwise the next poll will likely decide the lineup for summer!

Personalization Prompt #2 – Ghostie

So, from the reader appreciation day of the event, I used the second personalization prompt for the talented Ghostie! She’s always been really supportive of my writing, does amazing stuff herself over here at @rebornologist if anyone isn’t following her, and I hope she’ll enjoy!

BLACK: what face claim from an anime, comic book, or cartoon do I associate with you?

Okay, so this one was a little hard because there’s a couple face claims I could possibly use and I had to narrow it down to the one I felt fit you best, as you exist in my mind! And that one, as seen above, is Nana Osaki! She has the colouring I picture you as having and the style seems to almost fit if you toss some more pastels in there along with the punk/goth aesthetic!

WHITE: what flame type and box weapon do I think you’d have in the khr!verse?

Oh, this is another hard one. I definitely see you as someone with the potential to use multiple flames, both Storm and Cloud flames, with Cloud being your more dominant flame type. As far as box weapons are concerned, I see you using Cloud dragonflies. Again, I’m basing this off spirit animal symbolism, with the symbolism behind dragonflies being change, transformation, adaptability, joy and lightness of being, and them being a strong symbol of the emotional realm and a connection with nature. That, and using Cloud’s propagation abilities, it’s really damn cool to imagine a swarm of colorful, shimmering dragonflies being used either as an attack or as a barrier.

RED: what aesthetics do I associate with you?

Alt fashion. Well-manicured hands delicately shuffling and then dealing tarot cards. Pastel colours. Low ponytails. Red lipstick. Experimental art and industrial spaces. Converse clad feet striding purposefully down crowded city sidewalks. Colourful Teacups. Late fall evenings slowly ticking away into the witching hour of early morn. Snakes slithering up and wrapping around an arm. Confident grins. The hectic sound of quick typing. Raw sensuality and a lust to experience life in its totality. Fear, respect, and attraction towards the macabre and the deadly, all held in balance. Anubis.

Of course, the obvious answer is that I picture you in KHR, right along the Varia babies. But I also can picture you in the Dogs universe, as evidenced by the other personalization prompt and I can pretty easily picture you fitting into the Servamp universe pretty well.

If the guy weren’t giving off such an arrogant vibe, Shizuo would have actually looked forward to the upcoming scene. He was handsome with a slender body and delicate hands and features. Thin, but well shaped lips. He was cute, okay?

And those goddamn gorgeous brownish red eyes, how was that even human? Unreal, and oddly entrancing, but damn he was annoying, from his voice, to his overpowering cologne to his tendency to need ‘just the right snacks’ in the dressing room.

Maybe, it’s more Shizuo’s issue, than Izaya’s. That was his name, if he recalls correctly.

i literally thought there was like. an official light novel that just had alternate versions of shizaya?? and i thought there were like alternates of a bunch of different characters in durarara which would be a ton of work and wouldnt make much sense but i didnt question it until NOW

and have i been fucking mistaking roppi for ROKUJO CHIKAGE because i misremembered his nickname as roppi instead of rocchi

i guess whatever official art i saw of them was just. regular shizuo and izaya drawings that the fandom made into alters. i had the relationships reversed. and like narita has made shizaya's relationship so gay already that is it that far of a stretch to imagine that he might've made one or two or several alternative universes where shizaya weren't beefing. he's literally written shizaya smut i wouldn't put it past him

Shizuo and Izaya alternates are SO fascinating to me. Especially seeing fanfictions with them, like they are an entire mini-fandom within the fandom. They are completely fan made, yet we can read something and go, "this seems kind of OOC for Psyche?". It's crazy. Or seeing Ruby and Toudaimoto, where they had no content, but entire back stories. I especially love how we don't ship Psyche with Delic. We ship Delic with Hibiya. Isn't it fascinating???

JSHDJSB Who is this I’m crying Kaikyo and Blue(anti-psyche yes that’s his name I’d also scream) I think aren’t even close to Delihibi because Delihibi…is literally a playboy going for a prince type and literally is so smitten and in puppy dog love with the prince he’d do anything because he becomes that much of a simp while…Kaikyo/Blue is like… two anti social and quiet people find each other and deciding they should just stick together. As far as I know? Blue is a hacker and Kaikyo is a wandering samurai and how they find and get together is up in the air because there isn’t much lore for the antis so that’s a sandbox for anyone
