Some silly, shipping brainrot based on things I did in-game under the cut that does involve some spoilers and leaks for The Indigo Disk DLC:

So, apparently, once you get the ability to trade with Kieran, he offers an Applin for trade. Now, according to that one NPC quest in Sword/Shield, there's a folk belief in Galar that giving an Applin to one's romantic interest is both a confession and good luck for that relationship if the recipient chooses to accept. Why is this folktale important? Because I subscribe to the headcanon that Juliana grew up in Galar and only recently moved to Paldea with her mother. So, she would be more acquainted with the association between Applin and love confessions.

When Kieran offers an Applin for trade, Juliana is freaking out internally because "Does he know that folktale?" While hanging out, she mentioned she was from Galar, so did he get the idea from that? Or does he just like Applin a lot? She ends up spiraling in the League Club Room after Kieran leaves, babbling to Lacey and Crispin about how she's worried she's overthinking things or if Kieran really did just confess his love for her? After all, he left pretty fast after the trade concluded, right? Embarrassment, maybe? It's not like Juliana would turn him down.

While Crispin thinks Kieran would've (or should've) just said something if that's what he meant, Lacey suggests asking him if Juliana's that stressed about it. However, from where he's chillaxing at the table, Drayton offhandedly jokes, "Oh! Now I get why you chose an Applin to trade for my Duraladon! Good to know."

Juliana is about to combust from embarrassment, as she's now realizing she may have subconsciously chosen Applin for him due to the old folktale. Drayton is covering up his disappointment behind a smile and his usual, lazy demeanor, while Lacey huffs at him not to joke about stuff like that (He wasn't).

And Crispin is going off to the Terrarium to scream into the void because "Why won't anyone in this goddamn club just talk to each other?!"

i remembered why i hate shiny hunting before sv so much. i have hatched 1000 duraladon eggs in swsh with masuda method + shiny charm and still do not have a shiny. the odds of that having happened is 14.15%

Forgotten Anniversary ~ Raihan

Author's Note: Since my other account @cheekyredwillow got deleted. I am adding some of my favorite fanfictions to this account and revamping this one with new ones. I hope to make an actual list of fandoms I am still a fan of! NO requests for the time being.

It was your 5th anniversary with Raihan. Every anniversary, Raihan was able to be home and near. But about two months ago, Raihan has been distant from you. He hasn't came back to your place in a while. Your partner Clobbopus was worried about you because you weren't too happy and you did not understand why. 

Now while you thought the worse, Raihan was so caught up in all of his gym battles that he hadn't been home in a while. He did worry about you but that's why he gave you Clobbopus on your first anniversary. The Clobbopus would act as comfort and a guardian when he was busy at the gym.

The day of your 5th anniversary was almost over and you hadn't heard from Raihan all day. You tried calling him a couple of times but did not get a response till he came home finally. 

"Rai! Are you okay?!" You exclaimed as Raihan sighed. 

"Many gym challenges. I'll have to stay at the gym again. I'm just picking up other clothes." He said as you felt your heart breaking. 

"Do you remember today?" You asked as Raihan stopped to think. 

"No there's nothing special today. I know in two weeks is Bea's birthday but I think that's it." Raihan said before grabbing clothes. "I have to head back Y/n. I'll try to come back tomorrow. Love you."

"Bye Raihan." You said softly as he was out the door not even stopping when you did not say I love you. 

You called Bea up to see if you could fly over to her place and stay there. It hurt you Raihan was so focused on his gym and never took a break. And did not seem to care that he forgot your anniversary. You left a note for Raihan in case he came back and flew to Bea's apartment. 

It was about a week before Raihan came back to your shared apartment. He was excited to tell you that he took the week off and could stay home with you for a week. 

"Y/n! I'm home!" Raihan yelled as he heard no response. Even your Clobbopus did not come to greet him. 

Duraladon was already beginning to look for you while Raihan kept calling your name. Raihan was still calling your name. Raihan made it to your shared bedroom when he noticed most of your clothes were gone. He began to fret for your safety that maybe you were hurt until Duraladon came in with your note. It read:

Dear Raihan,

By now I have left and it probably has been a week. I left the day after you came home for the gym. While I understand Rai that you have a gym to handle and around this time is when gym leaders are being tested. I love you a lot but even when you were having to handle this, you would spend time with me. Enjoy my company. Not forget our anniversary. I love you a lot Raihan and I know it was only our 5th anniversary but I cannot handle this anymore. I want to feel wanted not left behind. I’m sorry but I had to leave.

Raihan read the letter over and over again before he dropped to his knees. He felt his chest clench in pain. Tears were already falling down his face at a fast rate. His body could not help it but it was shaking. He hurt your heart and now he pays for it. Duraladon tried to lean down to comfort its owner but Raihan could not stop it. He felt like he could not breathe. 

It tore him up as he stayed on the floor for hours. The rest of his pokemon were trying their best to comfort but also failing. They knew how much Raihan depended on you. You were the one that he could break his walls down and not have to be a celebutante and gym leader. When you are not around, he has to put on the facade. 

He fell asleep in the bed with your faint scent while his pokemon watched over him. Raihan was strong to a degree but even he has to admit that he fell asleep with a tear stained face. It scared him how much you had an affect on him. He had to find you and apologize.

You were sleeping in bed with Clobbopus and a tear stained face. You noticed it was raining outside when you opened your eyes. You sighed and laid facing to the ceiling. You had talked to Bea the night you came over and you continued to help around her place. But yesterday you saw Raihan on TV and you broke down. You stayed in bed since then. Bea had already left so you stayed in bed. 

About two hours later, you noticed a Flygon outside the window of the guest bedroom. You were lucky Bea’s guest bedroom had a balcony so you could open it. You saw Raihan riding Flygon as your Clobbopus ran out after you opened the window. You felt your heart clench as you saw Raihan’s somber eyes.

“May I come in Y/n?” Raihan asked as you nodded your head. Raihan called Flygon back and walked in. He sat down on the bed as Clobbopus ran to his lap.

“So how did you find me?” You asked as Raihan rubbed the back of his neck.

“I asked Leon who did not know then I asked Milo and then I asked Bea and now I’m here.” Raihan rambled as you took the seat next to him.

“Then why are you here?” You sighed not noticing a tear run down his face. Duraladon got out of his pokeball and laid his head on your lap. You smiled softly and patted his head.

“I got your note a week late. I know this is horrible of me. I know I spend too much time at the gym. I’m extremely sorry for making you feel like I abandoned you and forgot our anniversary. It does not matter if it is our 5th or 50th, I should not forget it. I feel like a horrible person and it made me realize how much I need you. Instead of the facade of a social media gym leader, I can be myself with you.” Raihan rambled as you grabbed his hand halfway through his speech.

“It wasn’t just feeling abandoned. I hated that you are overworking yourself and we haven’t had a day to ourselves. I love you so much but I just can’t do the whole leaving me at home and not seeing you for weeks.” You explained as Raihan brought you into his side.

You two stayed quiet for a bit by each other’s side. Your partner and his partner pokemon were looking hopeful as you nudged your face into Raihan’s chest.

“Y/n, I am extremely sorry. I took the whole week off because I wanted it to just be us. I was just too late. I understand if you do not want to do this anymore.” Raihan sighed and you felt a tear from his eyes fall on your cheek.

“Raihan, I love you too much to just get rid of this. You make me way too happy.” You said softly as you looked up at him.

“I got you something to apologize for missing our anniversary.” Raihan said before pulling out a loveball. You clicked it open and an Appletun jumped out. He was already climbing onto the bed and to your lap.

“Rai! You did not have to do this!” You exclaimed as Raihan smiled.

“I’m glad he likes you.” Raihan said softly as you hugged Raihan softly to not disturb the Appletun in your lap. “Is it okay if I kiss you?”

You leaned forward as Raihan met in the middle to kiss your lips. His lips were pressed soft against yours which quickly shifted to a kiss full of passion. You were kissing back with need as Raihan touched your cheek. You broke the kiss and both of you were panting.

“I see the two of you have made up.” Bea said as you both jumped back in surprise. She laughed and walked back out of the room. 

“Would you come back to our apartment and I can make it up to you?” Raihan asked softly as you kissed his cheek.

“I would love to.” You said softly.

Raihan returned Duraladon before calling out Flygon. He jumped on Flygon’s back and held his hand out. You grabbed it after calling your pokemon and flew with him home. The following week you sent a card and gift to Bea’s house for her birthday but you two stayed home. You make food together, slept in, and played with all of your pokemon. It was a relaxing week you two needed to relax but also rebuild your relationship.

ask and you shall receive! here’s some origin on how he gained this ability:

“Ready for training, Raihan?”

“I’m always ready! Prepare to be beat.”

one day while training on the Isle of the Armor at the dojo, Leon and raihan were having a friendly battle. It went on for a good while as both were on par with eachother.

that is until one of raihan’s pokemon used a super powerful move that almost hit Leon after Charizard dodged it

Narrowly avoiding the move caused Leon to lose his balance and take a hard fall into the hard ground outside the dojo, he slammed his right wrist while falling, breaking his dynamax band

Seeing Leon take a hard fall, raihan paused their battle and helped him up and made sure he was alright, he only got a bump on the head,,,but he couldn’t shake a weird feeling in his chest he had,,,almost like he has built up energy he HAS to release

after a few days Raihan decided to rechallange Leon because they didn’t finished their battle, but this time, in the (at the time) empty wyndon stadium

after another long battle, each of them were down to their last pokemon, Charizard and Duraladon

As he prepares to gigantamax his charizard, Leon felt almost jittery, like he was about to explode of anticipation

suddenly his Dynamax band starting sparking and crackling with energy, fueling the feeling in leon’s chest

the sparks grew bigger and brighter as they started to surround him, eventually exploding onto a giant magenta fog that covered half the gym’s field

as the fog covered the field raihan stepped back to see a figure growing in the fog, eventually erupting at the peak of the cloud

it was Leon,,,

After a few minutes of Raihan trying to calm leon down enough for him to talk a coherent sentence, he had to focus on his breathing and the sound of his voice mainly because he didn’t want a panicked giant to be rampaging around 

as Leon calmed himself down, he felt the energy in his chest begin to dial down, and as he opened his eyes again he was shrinking back down to his normal size

“Raihan i did it! I’m normal again!”

“All you had to do was just calm down”

“let’s make sure no one finds out about this…”

Because of this incident, he now has the ability to sizeshift the every is forced inside of him and it controlled by his dynamax band now, but if he were to take it off he wouldn’t be able to control it as well [he doesn’t know that yet]

in light of what would Tommy do what gym leader types do you think the Smosh cast has?

im also saying what i think their ace pokemon would be

ian: ground type! i feel like there are so many ground types that ian would resonate with LMFAOOO so i have a few options for his ace, such as Donphan, Krookodile, Diggersby and Quagsire (or clodsire)

anthony: dark type naturally. what else would i pick for our 15 year old instagram edge lord (/pos, he’s just like me tbh). his ace would either be Absol, Houndoom, Scrafty, Kingambit or Obstagoon. I’m mostly leaning towards Kingambit or Absol.

courtney: fairy type! i feel like she would run a fairy gym just because courtney is just. :3. her ace would be Tinkaton, Hatterene or Mawile!

shayne: grass type..he gives me calm grass type trainer tbh. his ace would either be simisage (hate these fucking monkeys but shayne would love simisage i fear), Hydrapple or Ludicolo!

damien: ghost type! pretty sure he likes…gengar……..? damien isn’t one of my fav cast members so i wouldn’t know too much. but if he likes gengar then sooo true cause gengar is my fav :) BUT ANYWAYS. his ace could be Sableye, Spiritomb, or Gengar!

keith: rock type! his ace would either be Armadlo or Coalossal, idk what else to say it’s just a vibe

olivia: ice or psychic tbh. For ice, her ace would be Glaceon, Weavile or Froslass. for psychic, her ace would be Reuniclus, Meowstic, or Gardevoir.

tommy: normal type OBVIOUSLY. and his ace would either be ditto or porygon OBVIOUSLY. if not his ace would be staraptor because of the hair LMFAO

spencer: funny enough i also think spencer is normal type! his ace would be dundunsparce, slaking or zangoose

amanda: fighting type! muy thai people don’t play around let me tell you that. i think her ace would be Mienshao! amanda gives me bea from gen 8 if bea had fun and was a silly gal

angela: I actually have two options for angela! i feel like she could either be bug or electric type! i’m more lenient to bug type however. her ace for a bug gym would either be Kricketune or Heracross (it’s kinda giving bug from sword af!). I think for electric she could have Ampharos or Alolan Raichu as her ace. or you could give her galvantula in either scenario

arasha: again, I have two possible ones for her. It’s either fire or poison. If we went down the fire route, her ace would be Ninetales or Braixen. If we went down the poison route, her ace would be Nidoqueen/Nidoking (idc) or Seviper! or you can say fuck it and in either scenario give her Salazzle LOL

chanse: naturally i have to give our dragon loving king the dragon type gym! his ace could be most of the dragon types cause they’re all fucking powerful, but i have like 3 that i think chanse would love. he could go with flygon, kommo-o or dragonite!

trevor: he’s giving me flying or steel! for flying, his ace would be Metagross or Duraladon. for flying, his ace would be Cramorant or Altaria

Hello... do you have any tips for caring for steel types? I acquired three of them in quick succession over the last few months, and I'm still relatively new to it all. Thank you for your time.

Hmm given that there's not a specific kind of of Pokemon mentioned here I shall give you general ones

Its best to get some anti rust supplies whenever it's spray based from automotive or from blacksmithing it's best to treat your steel types like maintaining tools. This especially true for duraladon who is one of the most high maintenance ones out their due to the alloy they're covered in.

Its best to have them not take too much punishment during battling, despite the typing's excellent defenses usually, even that sadly has its limits, some parts may break off which can be detrimental for certain steel types like the pawniard line for example.

Steel types have a very unique diet. Sometimes a bit of an expensive one so I suggest you look up your Pokémon's diet on what they eat. Usually some steel types are ferrovores

Opal may well be our oldest contestant, but she's tricky just like the fairies she trains! At 88, she's no spring chicken, but that won't matter in a popularity contest! But she's up against some very popular folks- like Piers, the series' first Dark type leader! His punk look and outsider personality may endear him to his adoring fans, does that include our audience? What about, Raihan, the series' second double battling gym leader? He quite literally towers over the competition, and his Gigantamax Duraladon even more so! We shouldn't overlook Melony's son Gordie though- Steel type leaders can be tough nuts to crack, and he's no exception. Our last Galarian leader is Nessa, whose outfit may say swimming pro, is in fact a excellent battler too! Water type ladies tend to do well, so will that hold up here?

Remember- the top two competitors will move on to round 1, not just the winner!
