(Semi-Serious) Baby Name Predictions for Jeremiah + Hannah

Brynley Noelle and Brielle Grace. Is it coincidence that these 2 names are super matchy, or are Jeremiah + Hannah going for a theme? Is it a "B" theme? A "Br" theme? A theme in which the first and middle names of one child are mashed up to produce the first name of the next, Renesmee style?

(Ok, it's probably not that one, but you never know.)

Here are my predictions for Baby Duggar-Wissmann #3, which I believe will determine whether or not there is a name theme going on.

If they're doing a "B" theme:

As much as I love terrible baby names and themed sibsets, I'll be surprised if they actually are doing a letter theme. Anna is the only one who did a single letter theme, which seems more like a publicity move in keeping with the Duggar brand, back in the TLC days. I assume most of the Duggar kids didn't like how matchy it felt to have a name gimmick, and decided not to do that to their own kids.

Blakely. I hate this name, but it also feels like one that Hannah would like. They could make it even worse by going with Blakelyn.

Bethany or Bethan. Bethany is a little too traditional to match with a name like Brynley, so "Bethan" is a more modern alternative.

Bailey. Could also be used for a boy.

Berea. (Pronounced "bur-EE-uh") A bit of an oddball, but Berea is taken from a name in the Bible. You'll find a bunch of churches out there with "Berean" in the name.

Bennett. This is much more likely if they were having a son, but I don't think this out of the question for a girl.

If they're running with a "Br" theme:

This feels even less likely than the B theme, as it's even more restrictive. However, I do know a family with all Br names, including the mom and dad. (There were only 2 kids, Brittany and Brianna, so it wasn't that extravagant.)

Brenna. "Brenna Duggar" just sounds like it's already a name. I also think it's odd that Hannah hasn't used the middle name "Ann" yet (4 of her siblings have used that as a middle, as it's her mom's), and "Brenna Ann Duggar" feels like it could be a real name.

Brooke. No idea how close Jer + Hannah are to Joe + Kendra. If they associate a lot, they might not want to cause confusion with Brooklyn.

Briony or Bronwen. I regret to admit that I like both of these names, and they feel like classier versions of Brynley.

Brightly. Of the semi-serious suggestions I've seen, this one feels possible.

Breathany. No idea who on fundieblr came up with this one, but it is hilarious.

Bristol. Feels like a name from Teen Mom and sounds too much like "pistol" to really fit the sibset, but it's different enough from the sibset to avoid confusion.

Braelynn. I think Hannah has a little more sense than to use a name like this, but having 3 kids under age 3 might induce some poor judgment.

If they're doing a Renesmee-style name mash-up game:

I'm only throwing this out there because of how weird it is that "Brielle" is so similar to "Brynley Noelle." Whatever middle name they choose will end up doing the heavy lifting in determining the next child's name.

All of these names are inspired by smushing together "Brielle" and "Grace."

Bracyn. I had to get creative and throw an "n" in there at the end. This is more of a boy name in line with Ayden and Brayden, but not implausible. It's like Grayson, but worse. (If there is a "B" or "Br" theme going on, and they end up having kids in the double digits, I could see this name making an appearance later.)

Breeze. The end sound of Grace is not as buzzy as the "z" in Breeze, so this is a bit of creative license.

Gracielle, a super implausible name, or Giselle, a real name that is more in the spirit of the Renesmee game than true to the mechanics of it.

Elise or Alice, combining "Elle" and "Ace" from the ends of the two names in question. Again, more in the spirit of the theme than true to it.

If there is no theme, and Jeremiah + Hannah just have super specific tastes in names:

Emersyn. I was looking for names that match the vibe of Brynley without the matchy "ly" or "ie" ending, and I think this one is a strong contender. (Bonus points for a stupid "y.")

Paisley. NGL "Paisley" is one of those names that I know is awful, but I love it.

Hadley, Emery, Everly, or Kinsley. While these names feel more in line with the Bates family (and I'm not just saying that because Everly is a Bates name), they wouldn't surprise me coming from Jeremiah + Hannah. A few years ago, I would have said the same thing about Brynley, yet here we are.

My top guesses are Emersyn Ann, Brenna Ann, and Blakely Gloria.

Brynley and Brielle is.... A Choice for a sibset. You'd think parents who had siblings with super matchy names (Jer and Jed, Hannah and Susanna) wouldn't inflict that on their kids.

Wow. Wow. Wow. That Dress! Love it! Jana Marie Duggar Married Stephen Gerald Wissman August 15th 2024 after a 2 month engagement as they got engaged on June 15th.

This means that Jedediah Duggar will both be her actual brother and her brother in law! And this means that Hannah Wissmann will be Stephen’s actual sister and sister in law. This means that Hannah is Jana’s sister in law twice over and Jedediah will be Stephen’s brother in law twice over.

Baby Rodrigues 1 is on the way!

As the clock ticked over from 2024 to 2025, Timothy and Heidi Rodrigues made an exciting announcement - they are expecting their first child! They also gave an exact due date, 12th July 2025. Praise be! I somehow never did the couple's wedding data, so take this speedy pregnancy data as a compromise.

Early, Late, or On Time? Before this announcement, the average marriage-to-firstborn pace was 371 days across all Duggar, Bates and Rodrigues announcements. The Rodrigues average was 343 days, but with large variability as Nurie had a relatively long pace for her first child and Kaylee's was very short due to Gideon being premature.

This meant Tim and Heidi weren't expected to have a baby until September 2025, so this baby has come slightly early. However, it is very much within what the spreadsheet expects, and was only 0.59 Standard Deviations early.

Timing of Pregnancy Announcement Much more typical than the other Rodrigues announcements, I can say! Across all spreadsheet couples, the average to announce was on Day 99 (14 weeks, 1 day). However, when you just look at the Rodrigues family, the average is much, much earlier on Day 46 (6 weeks, 4 days). Tim and Heidi come in at a more typical pace of announcing on Day 88 (12 weeks, 4 days). Obviously couples are welcome to announce whenever they want, but this announcement is far more average!

The average spreadsheet couple now announces on Day 98 (14 weeks). Tim and Heidi were 0.34 Standard Deviations earlier to announce than the average predictor couple now is. This data point will now be used to estimate when Tim and Heidi will announce future pregnancies.

Due Date This one is clear, thanks guys! Timmy said, 'Heidi and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a baby come July 12th.'

Impact on the Data This has slightly quickened the pace of a first baby after marriage from 371 days to the new average of 368 days. This has affected Jana Wissmann, Jason Duggar, Justin Duggar and Jackson Bates. It has also significantly quickened Tim and Heidi's predicted pace. They are now expected to have eleven children, up from eight just after their wedding day.

Baby 2? Assuming no changes to the second child multiplier before then, the couple are predicted to announce Baby 2 in April 2026 for a birth that November. The predicted spacing between these two pregnancies is a speedy 482 days.

2024 Wrap-Up: Courtships, Engagements, and Weddings

Duggar Family

Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann married on August 15 after keeping their relationship more-or-less secret. They had been seeing each other, broke it off, and got back together--pretty much confirming what snarkers and fans had speculated for years.

Jason Duggar married Maddie Jones on Octobber 3. Their relationship was whirlwind fast, with an engagement of about 8 weeks.

Bates Family

Early in 2024, Warden Bates appeared to have broken off his relationship with Taylor Maples. All mentions of her were scrubbed from socials.

Isaiah Bates is in a relationship with a girl named Sarah. We don't know much about them.

Rodrigues Family

Samuel Rodrigues started courting Brianne Hessert midway through the year. They seem to have broken up, as all mentions of the relationship are gone from Jill's socials. Probably for the best--that was a weird match.

Timothy Rodrigues married Heidi Coverett on September 14. There was a bunch of social media drama after the fact because Jill can't help herself.

This is just speculation, but many have suggested Renee is courting someone in Florida, hence all the time she is spending with Nathan + Nurie.

Other Fundie Families

Solomon Anderson married Chloe Miller on January 6.

Charlie Bowers married Pelaiah White (known mostly because her sister is the unfortunately named Heistheway White) sometime in March.

Carver Bowers married Haley Paul on April 20. Shockingly, they have not yet announced a pregnancy.

Lydia Plath got engaged to Zac Wyse on December 16.

How are we already almost into February without a single pregnancy announcement!? Are they all waiting until Valentines Day so they can bombard us?

That is actually a very good possibility. It would be even better if we got some early and “late” announcements to really stretch the births out over the year. So far out of the three main families I follow/keep track of there are only four known pregnancies/ babies due in 2024.

Josie (Bates) Balka due the first week of March

Tori (Bates) Smith due date only given as 2024 and that she’s due after Josie

Hannah (Wissmann) Duggar only info is due 2024. Though has not yet announced sex of the baby even though she did so with her previous pregnancy. She also announced baby #1 “late” announcement in August and gave birth on Christmas that year, seemingly close to her due date. If they announced Baby #2 at the same time in pregnancy as baby #1 then she would be due in March. I’d really love a pregnancy update but, they deserve their privacy.

Nurie (Rodrigues) Keller Due July 2024. No further pregnancy update has really been given but, maybe we’ll get something from Jill when she goes down to Florida in a few weeks. I’m sure she’ll crash baby appointments or force Nurie to film a sex reveal that she can stream on Facebook and all of three people (Two Snarkers and Lord Daniel The Racoon) will watch
