It's here! It's happening folks!

Hello hello all you beautiful beings and welcome to the first ever round of the SPN Genderbend Bang! Myself (@wolfiepyxie) and my fellow mods are excited to finally be opening this bang up to you and seeing all of your wonderful creations. As it has been specified once before and is further touched upon in the rules, ALL spn ships are welcome in this bang. So don't let that stop you from making a story that you want to write.

The sign-up sheet, as well as the rules and schedule doc, are now live for you to peruse and complete respectively. Please read the rules in their entirety and if you have any questions, concerns, or if you've simply noticed that we've missed something that you feel may fit as a topic for this bang then do not hesitate to reach out to us. As you may know, some madmad archived the entirety of AO3 a few years ago.

I downloaded their metadata file (index) and typing the pseudo "fuckyeahsupernatural" gave me 181 results. All 181 of their fics (SPN, Legion, Dishonored) have been saved and the epubs are in zip files that can be found here:

Mod Introductions!

Hello hello from the mods of the SPN Genderbend Bang! We are still a month or so off from officially opening the bang, but in the meantime we felt that introductions were in order. We've got three of us here, so it's time to meet the people who are here to help! First up, we have Any (@anyreiart): "Hello! I'm Any (they/them or any pronouns). I've been a fanfic writer and artist for a very long time now and have a lot of experience with bangs as a participant and also as mod (This is my 4th time as a mod). I think this is a super interesting bang idea, especially with the diversity and new stories it can bring, and when Eve told me about it, I jumped on the bandwagon to help. My strength is organization and discord wrangling."

Then we've got Max (you can find them here on twitter): "Hi friends! I'm Max (they/he). I got pulled into spn in 2005, but only found fanfic in 2018. Despite that, I now have over 40 works on ao3 and have participated in 10 bangs, (though this is only the 3rd I've modded). I cannot wait to see what this bang brings us. Excerpt:

Lucifer could not forget hazy green eyes. He could not forget soft lips and desperate pleas.

He was an archangel. He was the third most powerful being loose in the Cosmos.

He was worryingly obsessed with his brother’s vessel.

His demons cringed away from him as his wings swept through the physical plane, and overturned the ratty furniture that filled the abandoned building they called home. Their leader, Meg she wanted to be called, stared at him. “My lord,” she asked in her husky voice, “what troubles you?”

Lucifer was tempted to snap, to destroy every single one of the creatures in this room, but he needed them. “I am merely impatient for my vessel to consent.”

She nodded, her eyes lighting. “If it makes any consolation, your brother’s vessel is just as stubborn.”

Lucifer snarled. He did not want to think about his brother’s vessel. The human vexed him in the worst way, and though he abhorred his current melodramatics, he couldn’t help his reactions.

“Leave me,” he said as calmly as he could muster.

His demons listened.
