Then I bet you @spooky-pop would love the Terror Troll of Techno Reef, Dub Skull! He knows a lot about the science of sound, is a terrorific scarer, and is a wiz with holographs for concert and rave effects. Isn’t he spooktacular🖤💚?!

Was talking about Halloween trolls with friends yesterday and now all I can think about is Halloween trolls

Dub Skull, the Terror Troll turned Rock Zombie.

While he may no longer be of techno in this form. He would still have a talent for and Barb would probably still see great use for his holographic technology for concert effects. One key difference between Dub Skull and his rock alter-ego, he never tries to exceed anyone's scare threshold, not to a point he upsets them, he always tries to show it all in good fun. But Rock Dub Skull usually doesn't give a flying feather about it. The inner scarer in him would see becoming a rock zombie as a liberation. He'd never go over the top with fear, but under rock he'll blow his top.

He trades his four favorite holo-ghost friends for flaming skull holograms (Seems a ton more rock doesn't it?). But they still each keep their color schemes, as if he changed them to rock as well.

At first I wasn't sure if I should've changed his tail patterns. I figured his original marks would still work for his rock form too. But I figured it'd help differentiate them. Also since Rock Trollex didn't have his heart icon, I took Dub Skulls.

I did a Brynth oneshot (Very short and fluffy.)

Branch could belive how late he was. He was supposed to meet Synth at the Pop troll library 25 minutes ago, but he had gotten stuck talking with Poppy.

He was running until the library had come into his vison. He let put a long, deep sigh as he entered the building.

"You're late." Synth said right as Branch had shut the door behind him.

"Synth, I am so sorry, Poppy was showing me some scrapbook that I wasn't paying attention to-" He was cut off by Synth placing a finger on Branch's lips.

"No worries Dubstep." He reassured him. "I would wait hours just to spend some time with you." Synth stopped and realized how weird that had sounded. "I don't mean it like that, I mean that I would be willing to wait cuz you're my friend you know?" Branch just stood there staring at him. "Uh, you know this library better than me, so lead the way Dubs!" He said trying to change the subject. Branch nodded his head in response. "No wait I did mean it in that way, HOLY CARP BRANCH I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU." He shouted looking Branch dead in the eye.

"Well, it's a good think I'm in love with you too Synth." Branch then placed a soft and gentle kiss on Synth's cheek. When he pulled back, Synth was a blushing mess.

"Whoa Dubstep I had no idea bro!" Synth yelled, and was suddenly sushed by everyone in the library.

"Synth?"

"Yeah Dubs?"

"I love you."

"Love ya too Branch."

Can't Keep It a Secret Forever (Part 4)

Branch sat by the edge of Techno Lake and kicked his feet around in it.

He looked up at the starry night sky and sighed.

“I miss you,” He whispered quietly.

“Sup, Dubstep?” Synth jumped out of the lake like a dolphin.

Branch jumped up in surprise, and laughed a little. Then he looked back down at the ground again.

Synth’s usual smile faded away. He hopped up onto land and sat himself next to Branch.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

Branch looked at him and then looked away, “Nothing,” he muttered.

“Hey,” Synth turned Branch’s face to him, “I can see something’s wrong,”

Branch looked at him, but stayed silent.

“You can tell me anything, Dubs. Even the serious stuff! I can be serious,” He said as a glowstick fell out of this hair, “Uh, I can be serious SOMETIMES,”

Branch chuckled and sighed, “I sorta said it in that little speech,” He looked away from him, “I lost my colors when I was about 3 or 4,”

Synth’s eyes widened, “Really?”

“Yeah. I felt responsible for my grandma’s death. Even though I knew she made the choice herself, she wouldn’t have had to make that choice if it hadn’t been for me. I was just so sad and angry, that it just kind of…took over.”

Branch looked up at Synth who had an understanding look in his eyes, though Branch didn’t understand why.

“I stayed that way for 20 years. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I regained them,”

Synth’s jaw dropped, “WHAT? That’s so long!” He wrapped his arms around his tail, “When the strings broke and we all lost our colors it was terrible. I felt so… empty and broken, “He looked at Branch with watery eyes, “You were like that for 20 years?”

Branch nodded sadly and looked down at the ground, "The sadness still comes back sometimes. And today is one of those days," He looked up at the sky, "Today was her birthday…"

Synth wrapped his arms around Branch, “I’m sorry,” he said pulling away, “I… I know what it’s like to lose a family member,” Synth whispered.

Branch looked up surprised, “You do?”

Synth nodded, “I had a twin sister. Her name was Wave. We partied together. Laughed together. We spent so much time together, that instead of calling us our separate names, people just mashed them together. We became Synthwave,”

“Sounds like you two were really close,”

“We were. Then one day, I was so lost in the beat, I didn’t see that glittershark coming, or hear Wave warning me. And she,” Synth’s voice broke. He wiped the tears that were flowing from his eyes, swallowed the lump in his throat and continued, “She pushed me out of the way,” Synth’s eyes went wide and he shivered, “I can still hear her screams…”

Branch sat stunned. Another troll, who had lost a loved one almost the same way as him.

He had thought of Synth as this party animal who didn’t have a care in the world, when really, he was using his beats and raves to keep his sadness at bay.

Branch grabbed Synth’s face, just as Synth had done with his, and turned it towards him.

“Hey, I’m here for you,” He pulled Synth closer, so close that their noses nearly touched, "I'll always be here for you,"

Then he pressed his lips to Synth's.

Synth's eyes widened in surprise, and Branch broke away from him.

"I-I'm sorry. It was too soon wasn't it?" Branch laid his head in his hands, "Dangit Branch, you ruin everything,"

Synth pulled Branch's head up and gave him a smirk, "Dubs? I've been hoping for that since the flavorberry patch. You had perfect timing," then he pulled Branch into a deeper kiss.

OoOooOOOooo, I hope you enjoyed this! I'm probably going to revisit this 'Lost Twin Sister' thing, it's pretty interesting. (Notice how I said LOST not dead? 🤔) I know Synth's story is basically the same as Branch's, but… eh.

Meet my fankid Laurence ( or Renn if you want his name to fit with with the 4 letter rule)

So funny story about him, back when i was starting out Laurence was created to act as a persona, however at some point I wasn't sure how to keep him included in the story so i removed him as a HS character and he became his own thing instead.

Buuuut thanks to my friends i dragged him back but i am admitingly not in any mood to change his story too much as it'd be worth several years of work down the drain so i'm keeping him as he is.

Dub's Backstory

Warning: mentions of child abuse,mental health, and trauma

When Dub was 7,he had no family or a home. He stayed at a cave for months until one day Prince Jake and his best friend Gene found him. Gene felt bad for the young guppy and raised him as his own since he's always wanted to be a dad. Things were going great, Prince Jake introduce Dub to his younger brother Ethan,and they became best friends and founded out his has a younger cousin name Remix and gets along with her so well, but Gene's father saw Dub as his new pupil to be a royal guard since his own son was useless to him. Gene's father trained him intensely by hitting him so hard, giving him bruises and cuts from his shape shifting abilities as an advantage on his on grandson. Gene tried to intervene,but he always gets hit by his father like he used to do when he was young. Gene always remembers the look of his father's terrifying eyes of how angry he gets and takes it out on him. When Dub was 8,he overhead his dad talking to Jake on the shell phone of how he couldn't take anymore suffering and how sees his own adopted son like his brute father. Dub asked if he was okay,but Gene froze and looked at Dub with a traumatized look in his eyes,and uses a pair of scissors to cut his face, resulting a scar over his yellow eye. After the incident, Gene was sent to a mental hospital by his father. Dub was so angry of his grandfather for sending him away since he was the reason Gene was always so terrified. Dub and Remix moved in Jake's castle,and his grandfather was sent to jail for child abuse. When Dub grew up and became an ambassador,he never intended on making friends with other Trolls,and was too afraid to visit his father until a certain smart techno troll changed his life.
