It was an arranged marriage between you and you father's friends eldest son; Sukuna. You were having dinner one day with your parents and your dad had asked you if you'd be interested in an marriage with a nice man. You blinked at that question and shrugged, "I mean as long as you know he's a nice man I guess it's not bad in meeting him," you replied with a small smile.

After a week both your families decided to go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant and you saw him for the first time; he was not a talkative type, he was a gentleman and very well-known for his devotion to his work and family. You both talked then and there; he was charming not once he said something to make you mad or upset. He was very soft spoken to you. Your father had informed you after that dinner that Sukuna agreed to the wedding and he also said that if you reject him he'll understand and it's not pressure on your side to agree but you already decided that wanted to marry him; he was nice, gentleman and respectful and every other person that knew him said kind things about him.

some mom's tell me to scare their kid so that they listen to her and yknow im all for putting up the most dramatic performance of my life.

jk jk. actually, i think that everyone has a little bit of dental phobia, no matter what age. anyone, including me, once we get into that dental chair, we're all scared because im ngl- while it is rare, accidents do happen.

but ive gotten equally good at managing dental phobic patients. I'm very good at distracting patients and the key is to lie so elaborately and keep on talking about ANYTHING, so that the patient's brain is too overstimulated to even think about the pain or needle or anything. the 75 year old has her eyes wide because she's listening to me telling her about how I had to make a fancy dinner for 25 people and no one said THANK YOU! none of that happened, but she felt seen because she came from a background where she had to be slave over the hot stove and have ungrateful ass kids and husband and in laws. so in a way, i healed her, i acted as a therapist and a dentist. and i didnt get paid, so she sympathised for me <3333

best thing about my job personally is 1. gaslighting. i just love telling these elaborate stories to distract patients. 2. these old patients, grandparents type- they're so sweet and they're giving me blessings and duas and wishing me all the luck and patting my head, all because i LISTENED to them. anyone couldve treated their tooth, but no one took the time to listen to these lonely patients. they just wanna be heard, be seen. like i remember this old verteran who was telling me his war tales and even though i couldnt understand most of his story because he had a dialect and also he had no teeth, but u best believe i sat there for 45 minutes asking me to tell him just how he operated the machine gun, all his badges and medals. my man gave me blessings and prayers, and if i were to even mess up his denture, he wouldve forgiven me because i took the time to listen.

its really gratifying when u see how happy patients and their family is, how they give u sweet duas and wish u so well. its one the main reasons that i wanted to become a doctor, because i heard how sweet these patients were to my brother. they would be crying tears of joy to him, thanking him for everything and all.

Why do I do an Ramadan special  when I'm not an Muslim? 'Cause it's only fair for my  dear friends from another religion to have the same treatment as my own religion, so cause I did an Christmas special, I'll do an Ramadan special as well.

So as a Christian I wish all my Muslim friends, a happy Ramadan, may all your duas come true this Ramadan!

- he knows that for you it is an incredibly important period, so it hurts him even more to leave you alone during this time because of his job

- if he is not in the country due to his job and has the time, he will call you just before iftar to either wish you a good evening or to be there via FaceTime

- if he is at home, he helps you during the day to prepare food for the evening so that you can have a nice time together with friends and family in the evening

- as a Roman Catholic, he is familiar with fasting, however, it was a surprise to him how big the difference are

- he was a bit confused at the beginning, not knowing exactly what he could and could not do.

- when he found out that you were going to fast for a month and therefore abstain from water and food for a month, he was already panic-stricken that you would die because of the dehydration.

- however the fear subsided after you explained it to him and he felt really stupid

- if he is not at home during ramadan because of his job, he will make sure you are near your family/friends or that you can go to his family to break the fast

- he is a really good cook and his dishes are always very good, he doesn't like spicy food but he will cook anything for you, you just have to tell him what you want.

- if you are not feeling well during Ramadan, he will make sure that he can at least make your life more comfortable

- but expect him to avoid you physically like the plague itself

- he loves you too much and has too little self control to keep the relationship between you "normal" so he tries to have as little physical contact as possible, after all he doesn't want you to commit a sin or anything like that

- while you are fasting, he is also fasting while he is at home, he thinks it is unfair that only you are fasting and so he goes along with it

- but if he goes on a mission he apologizes a thousand times for not fasting as well.

- he is quite awkward at the beginning concerning the topic.

- México isn't a country with  many muslims and therefore he simply lacks the knowledge.

- however, it is important to him that you know that he supports you in every aspect of your life.

- accordingly he learns a lot about your religion to not look completely stupid

- but he was really awkward the first time

- he did not know what he is allowed to do and what not

- in his base there was always music playing, when he found out that you were not allowed to listen to music among other things, he made sure that as soon as you entered the base there was no music to be heard anywhere

- when he found out that you were in fact allowed to listen to music, he felt so stupid and you teased him about it endlessly

- he even arranged for you to have your own little room on the base, which looked towards Mecca, where you could pray in peace, if you ever spent a longer time on the base

- he also tried not to drink or eat in front of you, nor to say any swear words in that time

- he would also gladly do the cooking for you if it was too much for you and you needed time to rest or pray.

- he avoided physical touch with you like the plague, cause he knew himself and he wanted everything but to commit a sin

- he is a little awkward at the beginning, in México there are not many Muslims he could have learned from, so it is new territory for him to learn more about you, your culture and religion.

- The first time he experienced Ramadan with you, he was confused why you didn't have breakfast with him in the morning as usual

- he then offered you something to drink, which you also declined

- and when you told him that you were not allowed to eat or drink anything for a month, he died inside.

- but he didn't make a face cause he didn't want  to hurt you and just nodded with a smile.

- when he went to work that day, the first person he talked to was Alejandro.

- he talked to his best friend about how unhealthy it was to not eat for a month, but he was way more worried about you not drinking anything

- he has traveled a lot in his life, got to know many people and many religions and is accordingly enlightened

- especially because his "adopted daughter" Farah is muslim herself

- he tries to be with you during this time, but his job doesn't allow that most of the time, so he at least tries to call you or write you an sms

- if he can't make it at all, he records a video and sends it to you so that he can be there too

- but if he is at home, he does it for you out of solidarity, because he was once not allowed to eat solid food for two weeks and was so mad at everyone who ate in front of him

- he even gives up smoking, which is incredibly difficult for him, but nothing is too hard for him when it's for you

- he is also an incredibly good cook, so you are not alone in preparing food for your whole family and believe me, even your family loves his food

I’ve been here in Malaysia for close to four months now, and I’ve been studiously trying to learn the language because I feel that it adds depth and texture to how I perceive and experience my life here. I was super proud of myself when I ordered food in Bahasa Malaysia. “Makan sini, dua ayam goreng, satu nasi goreng, satu nasi putih, satu mee goreng, tiga kopi.” My brothers were impressed, and I silently thanked my local friends for teaching me how to order the previous week. 

After my family went back to the Philippines, I came home from work one night and I thought “Saya penat dan sedih” - I am tired and lonely. “Sakit hati” - my heart ached. For my family, for my friends, for my dog. 

I learned that when speaking with friends, you refer to yourself as “aku” instead of “saya,” and to the other person as “kau” instead of “awak” because it’s more casual that way. “Saya” and “awak” are reserved for polite conversations, and of course I would take any chance I can to be impolite with friends. But when a local friend gifted me with baju kebaya, a traditional outfit in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries, for Hari Raya, “Saya terenstuh” - I was touched. I couldn’t bring myself to think “Aku tersentuh” because it felt rough, and the emotion that welled inside me that time was just so soft.

It hasn’t been easy for me living in a foreign country.  Being away from my family and everything I’ve known my whole life. And yet, “Aku rasa gembira” - I feel happy. I AM happy. Sini dan sekarang. Here and now. Sebab - because - for the first time in years, aku boleh rasa. Aku rasa hidup. I can feel. And I feel alive.  

I just need more words to describe this new way of life.

What fans don't realize is that "what was i made for" by billie eilish is a 2018 hamato yoshi song. It fits him to perfection!!! Yoshi was depressed and traumatized to hell in back in the battle nexus. He's being exploited constantly by big mama and generally is in an awful place mentally, emotionally, and physically

Yoshi used to be happy as an actor and while he still had issues, he was overall content, especially while dating big mama. Now he resents his lack of freedom and current life

This is yoshi's lifelong crisis!!! He's been raised to believe that he's a hamato and needs to be engrossed in the hamato clan and a savior for the world, to deny his own ambition and joy for the sake of the clan and by extension, the globe. Yoshi then became a famous actor to fulfill himself. Then, he was forced to be a battle nexus contestant and told that he was meant to be making money and entertaining that way. One could even go on to when he was mutated and took on the role of a father to four mutants, which was way different than anything else he had been. With him being forced into positions to take on different life paths, it's unclear to yoshi what he was made for at this point because it seems that no one can agree. He's having an existential crisis, poor guy. Was yoshi born to be a hamato ninja? Was he born to be a film star? Was he born to be a trafficking victim? Was he born to be a mutant rat father? WHO KNOWS ANYMORE, not yoshi

THESE LYRICS!!! ARE SO YOSHI CORE!!! He was an idol in the film industry, an a-lister, someone to admire and a beloved pop culture icon. He still is even as a battle nexus contestant. However, yoshi is dehumanized by so many around him, big mama, his fanbase (his yōkai fanbase in particular), draxum, and is literally objectified, turned into a toy for others to use to their own end, to make money off him, to bolster their own fame, to empower a mutant army. The "turns out i'm not real" lyric doubly works because yoshi's a fictional character (but that's news to him)

When did it end? All the enjoyment

The battle nexus ruined any passion he had for fighting. as an actor, it was all fake and he was treated with care, in the battle nexus, it's all too real and his life is put on the line each match

Yoshi is incredibly depressed about his hardships and current positions as an abductee. He can't rely on big mama for emotional support like he used to because, well, she has literally kidnapped him and is the one gleefully inflicting pain on him. It's not what big mama's made for and yoshi realizes that now. It bums him tf out. At one point, he thought she was perfect for that, but she's way too obsessed with power and profit

The lyrics i skipped are pretty obvious, i mean, i think they're all quite clear when tying the song to yoshi's story, but to breeze through it, yoshi's basically joyless, he wants to be joyful and maybe his sons and new family can help drag him out of his pain

Funnily enough, the song "barbie dreams" by fifty fifty from the very same album as "what was i made for" suits yoshi perfectly, too (pre-battle nexus). ALSO FROM THE SAME ALBUM is "dance the night" by dua lipa, which fits him as well!!! in "dance the night" Yoshi's struggling with the stress of being an asian actor in the 80s and the stress of his family. but heyyy, look how at how he stuns on the dance floorrrr even though he wants cryyy :D the song spectrum of yoshi having a good time from great time to meh time to terrible time: barbie dreams -> dance the night -> what was i made for

A Match made in heaven

This idea came to me while I was listening to this song. I didn’t have the idea clear until I sat down and started to write it. It’s short but I hope you enjoy it.

By the way, I mentioned an event that happened in the Manga 103, it is just a small mention so, if you read it you will know, if you didn’t it won’t be a spoiler.

It’s been a while since Yor and Loid discovered their secret identities and both felt like a weight was lifted off their shoulders. Now Garden and WISE did some missions together, especially the ones that required murders or a different approach.

Loid and Yor were OK with it and they even asked to work as a partner, which was accepted by their bosses. They were in love and wanted to protect the other, even when they knew that the other was capable of surviving on their own.

It had been six months since their reveal and they made the perfect team. Yor assassin abilities and Loid’s costumes and quick thought process were a match made in heaven.

Yor was at peace knowing that they didn’t have secrets, even Anya told them about her powers and some of her experiences, that’s why Garden and WISE were after the people behind Apple Project and, probably, after the project Anya was part of.

It was difficult since they were a super secret wing of the government and they couldn’t find it as easy as they wished for.

But even with that, she couldn’t help but be happy about having a beautiful family and sharing moments together when they were free.

Their missions were at night so they couldn’t put Anya in bed, especially when the mission needed them to be at a party. Loid had to use his costumes and mask but Yor didn’t need them since she never let anyone alive so they could identify her.

Some other nights they didn’t need to go sleep because they ended up making love in their, now official, married bedroom.

There was one mission where they ended up making a riot, they needed information and Yor was there as a back-up in case Twilight was found, and it happened. She began to use her sharp weapons to protect him and he stole a gun from a dead body and both, back to back, started to fight.

Her strength and stamina were amazing but his stamina was good as well. He had to keep picking up guns as she killed the men on their way to the exit while he covered her back with those guns.

They entered a room and he shot the light interrupter and they managed to escape, with the information they needed. Her husband was that good. They shared a kiss and left the house of their mission’s target.

They arrived home early in the morning and with the adrenaline still high, they took a shower and prepared for a school meeting where both parents needed to be.

They were sitting on the sofa, just holding each other. That day was quite eventful but if they have each other, they couldn’t have any other way. They were ready to do everything to protect this life, this peace.

Watching news about seals trapped in their canal or how happy others were by a day in the park playing with a dog... Those things were enough for them to never give up. Especially when that little girl sleeping in the other room is happy and safe.

They aren’t afraid to get physical if that means peace.

Make dua that on the day of reckoning, you will receive your book in your right hand, that all of Jannah’s doors will be calling to you. Make dua that on the day of judgment, every verse of the Quran you read will testify for you. Make dua that you will meet the Prophet SAW. Make dua that you and those you love will live in eternal peace, and eternal happiness with your Lord.

Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah I have been well 🥺🥺Things have continued to be sooo crazy but alhamdulillah it’s all to do with my wedding and my new job so it’s happy problems I can not complain.
