I feel like on that first day he kept having to restrain himself from fighting (or maybe even hit into a fight) because people kept asking him where he had been

If he got into an actual fight I’d assume he’d get a detention or at least let off with a warning but he still had to get Darry to sign a slip saying he got into a fight promoting another lecture/argument however Darry doesn’t really care much. He knew the kid had it coming but he’d rather not have Pony turning into Dally 2.0

Obviously Pony’s grades slipped too and I feel like teachers would notice when Pony who normally scores at least a B was now getting Cs and Ds on his assignments

I think it said in the book at some point he was actually failing English and I feel like all his teachers kinda picked up, some asked what the deal was. Some didn’t.

The ones who asked what was wrong definitely got snapped at and he probably got sent to the office more than once

I feel like he starts picking fights or at least fighting back a lot more

He eats lunch outside with Two Bit and Steve after Steve found him eating in a bathroom stall

I feel like Pony would be a bigger target since Bob’s death but again he just fights back and snaps

Darry gets a lot of phone calls home and notes to sign…

Darry also started having to study with Pony and make sure he did his homework after school because he kinda just stopped doing it after a while. He just gave up.

He refuses to change for gym class too because he hates the questions about his scars and burns

I like to think Cherry and him get close, like a brother sister bond, so when Darry is busy she gets Pony to dtudy with her (she kinda realized the whole “social class” thing was bullshit obviously)

She takes Pony out to nice cafes on the West side for little study sessions and it helps him a lot, along with Darry

He definitely shuts down and doesn’t let himself get close to anyone. He has school friends…kinda. But even then you can hardly get a word out of Pony until a few years later.

He becomes a lot more reserved like Johnny but also fights like Dally. It’s rough.

Sun neptune - bohemians, poets, drifters, beatniks, but nay struggle with output. hiding awsy behind the walls of your college to write love poetry. skipping assignments because you're too busy working on your own creative projects.

sun pluto - one of the most intriguing sets of aspects. can represent your relationship to secret and hidden knowledge. In a harmonious aspect like a trine or conjunction can show someone who is comfortable with shadow work. a public position in investigating lost musteries and secret knowledge. an investugative journalist or privste eye, a srudent who digs deep into the srchives of your university or college and uncovers something buried from a century ago that didn't want to be found.

In a disharmonious aspect - can indicate discomfort with the unknown or occult. or can indicate biting off more thsn you can chew. maybe you don't like whst you discover. can be people who are more comfortable with the present than the past. may take a science or liberal arts major but will avoid any history or soft science life sociology or psychology.

For my Global Dtudies class in hs I randomly picked a country to plan a 10day tour and I got... you guessed it MAURITANIA!!!

This fascinating West African nation has limited online travel information, but I had fun and learned alot making up a fake vacation.

You bet your ass I included the Eye of the Sahara. Along with a scenic ride on the longest train track in the world, riding in style on top of the open iron ore cars! There's also a bunch of UNESCO world heritage sides, bird sancuaries, and seaside cities. I made a homemade brochure and everything

Highly recommend randomly picking a place and finding as much as you can about that one place.

ok there's this thing in the sahara desert called the Richat Structure. It's 30 miles wide, it can only really be seen from space. it just looks like this giant fucking EYE in the middle of the desert. i came across it by accident while just scrolling around on google earth like a decade ago and went HUH???? cause it's so creepy and weird so then I got obsessed.

basically scientists think it's a highly eroded dome and not an impact site or man-made or anything. a bunch of different kinds of rock are exposed in concentric rings. however, it is an archeological site and they've found a bunch of Archeulean tools and artifacts in great condition there (like stone axes and stuff from homo erectus). archeologists think this area was used in tool manufacturing.

im just totally fascinated i think it's cool as hell

Finally going back to sitting in classes after a year and a half.
