"MySims Adventures" Video Game idea
For those who grew up in the late 2000s, you might remember this game called "MySims", released on September 18, 2007 for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The spinoff was popular enough to spawn a franchise that lasted until "MySims SkyHeroes", which was released in 2010.
But months ago, we received "MySims: Cozy Bundle" in 2024, which was a Nintendo Switch-exclusive title featuring HD versions of "MySims" and "MySims Kingdom". Following said release, I have an idea for something I thought EA should develop, not just for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, but also for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
TITLE
"MySims Adventures"
ESRB RATING
Probably E10+
PREMISE
You create a MySims character or two and play as them throughout the main story. Players set sail on the high seas as pirates, discover jungle temples as explorers, saddle up as cowboys, storm fairytale castles as knights and wizards, take to the skies as superheroes, and explore the far reaches of the universe as astronauts.
GAMEPLAY
I thought this game should be treated like an open-world Lego video game (similarly to games starting from "Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes"), but the Sims would still talk in their Sim language.
I also would incorporate a level creator mode which would act similarly to Toy Box Mode from the "Disney Infinity" trilogy (But without the toys-to-life gimmick). In Story Mode, you unlock costumes, costume pieces, enemies, NPCs, and even the packs and tools you use in Story Mode. They can be unlocked from doing missions or finding hidden areas. The content you obtain would then be unlocked for use in the level creator.
As far as costume pieces and full costumes your custom character wears, they have unique abilities like the pirate costume parts allowing you to have monkeys or parrots as sidekicks who can spy on enemies, collect items too high to reach, and even make noises to distract enemies and lure them into another area (similarly to how you used Momo in "Avatar: The Last Airbender (2006 video game)"). Or if you were in the superhero level, the full costumes or costume parts of these in-game superheroes grant your character the same abilities such as flying, invulnerability, super strength, super speed, laser vision, X-ray vision, force field generation, and turning invisible.
(Click here for more information on the costumes and costume pieces)
CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION
As far as applying costume parts onto your character, the abilities are put in a separate category much like "Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2" and "Lego DC Super-Villains". These can be applied to your character either in Story Mode or in the Level Creator Mode.
MULTIPLAYER
Without a doubt, this game has a multiplayer option that applies to both Story Mode and the Level Creator Mode. Story Mode supports local 2-player split-screen co-op. And as for the Level Creator Mode, depending on if the game could support this, the game could support local 4-player split-screen co-op. Online play can be supported too, mostly for playing on other people's levels and downloading levels.
As far as other multiplayer offerings, I know the Pirate world can have Tower Defense mini-games and ship battles. And in the Cowboy world, there's shooting galleries. I don't know what else those worlds in Story Mode would've offered, but this all I can think of so far.

Time Travel: Is It Possible in the Past or Future?
Introduction
The idea of time travel has always fascinated scientists, philosophers, and even storytellers. But is it really possible to travel through time, either into the past or the future? Stephen Hawking, in his famous book The Universe in a Nutshell, explores this idea in depth using both physics and mathematics. In this research article, we will break down the concept of time travel in simple terms and explore the scientific theories, hypotheses, experiments, and fun facts surrounding this mind-boggling topic.
Time Travel in Physics
Time, as described in physics, is not just a straight line that we follow but is part of a "space-time" fabric. Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity revolutionized how we think about time and space. According to his General Theory of Relativity, time and space are interconnected, forming a four-dimensional fabric called "spacetime."
Time Dilation: One key aspect of time travel is "time dilation," which is a proven phenomenon. It means that time moves slower for objects moving at extremely high speeds (close to the speed of light). This has been observed in experiments involving particles in accelerators and in atomic clocks flown on airplanes. If you could travel close to the speed of light, time would pass slower for you than for someone on Earth. In theory, this means you could travel into the future.
Time Travel to the Future
Stephen Hawking and many other scientists believe that traveling to the future is theoretically possible. Based on Einstein's Theory of Relativity:
Special Relativity: As we approach the speed of light, time slows down for the traveler relative to someone who remains stationary. If astronauts travel in a spaceship at nearly the speed of light and return to Earth, they would find that more time has passed on Earth than for them. This is one way to "travel into the future."
Gravitational Time Dilation: In the presence of a strong gravitational field (like near a black hole), time also passes slower. This is another way that future time travel could occur.Mathematical Expression:Δt′=Δt1−v2c2\Delta t' = \Delta t \sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}}Δt′=Δt1−c2v2Where:
Δt′\Delta t'Δt′ is the time experienced by the traveler.
Δt\Delta tΔt is the time experienced by a stationary observer.
vvv is the velocity of the moving object.
ccc is the speed of light.
Time Travel to the Past
Traveling to the past, however, is much more complicated and controversial. According to the laws of physics as we currently understand them, there is no clear way to travel to the past without causing problems like "paradoxes."
The Grandfather Paradox: This paradox is one of the biggest problems with time travel to the past. It asks, "What happens if you travel back in time and prevent your grandfather from meeting your grandmother?" If you do that, you would never be born, but if you were never born, how could you go back in time to prevent their meeting?
Wormholes: In The Universe in a Nutshell, Hawking discusses the idea of "wormholes" as a possible method of time travel. A wormhole is like a tunnel that connects two distant points in spacetime. In theory, if one end of the wormhole moves differently through time than the other, it could create a passage between two different times. However, keeping a wormhole stable enough for time travel would require "exotic matter" (with negative energy), which we don’t yet fully understand.Mathematical Expression (Wormholes and Einstein-Rosen Bridge):ds2=−c2dt2+(dr21−2GMr)+r2(dθ2+sin⁡2θdϕ2)ds^2 = -c^2 dt^2 + \left( \frac{dr^2}{1-\frac{2GM}{r}} \right) + r^2 (d\theta^2 + \sin^2\theta d\phi^2)ds2=−c2dt2+(1−r2GMdr2)+r2(dθ2+sin2θdϕ2)This is the Schwarzschild metric that describes a non-rotating black hole or a wormhole.
Cosmic Strings: Another interesting idea for time travel is "cosmic strings." These are thin, high-energy tubes left over from the early universe. Two cosmic strings moving past each other at high speeds could bend spacetime enough to allow for time travel.
Hypotheses of Time Travel
Closed Timelike Curves (CTCs): This hypothesis suggests that under certain conditions, spacetime could bend in such a way that an object could return to its own past. These are called "closed timelike curves." The concept was explored in theoretical physics but has many limitations and is highly speculative.
Hawking's Chronology Protection Conjecture: Stephen Hawking proposed a hypothesis called the Chronology Protection Conjecture, which says that the laws of physics prevent time travel to the past. According to Hawking, if time travel to the past were possible, it would create paradoxes and instability in the universe. He believed that nature has a way of "protecting" the timeline from such disruptions.
Experiments and Evidence
While time travel to the past has not been observed, there are real experiments that suggest time travel to the future is possible in small ways:
Twin Paradox: In this thought experiment, one twin travels at high speed into space while the other stays on Earth. When the traveling twin returns, they are younger than their sibling due to time dilation. This is not just a theory; a similar effect has been observed in experiments with particles in particle accelerators.
Muon Experiments: Muons are particles that decay very quickly. When scientists send muons at close to the speed of light, they last longer than they would at rest, due to time dilation. This is a form of time travel into the future for these particles.
Fun Facts about Time Travel
Time Travel in Pop Culture: The concept of time travel is popular in movies like Back to the Future and Interstellar, where the characters explore the idea of moving through time. While these movies are entertaining, they are often based on real scientific ideas.
Faster-than-light Travel: If it were possible to travel faster than light, you could theoretically arrive at a destination before you left, which could be a form of time travel. However, according to Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light.
Conclusion
Time travel, especially to the future, is not just science fiction but is rooted in the laws of physics, thanks to Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. However, traveling to the past remains a challenging and speculative concept, with paradoxes like the Grandfather Paradox making it difficult to imagine without breaking the laws of nature. While we don't yet have the technology or understanding to make time travel possible, the idea continues to fascinate scientists and the public alike. From wormholes to cosmic strings, the possibilities for time travel keep us curious and engaged in the mysteries of the universe.

spin spin!!
Two spins for you, Ren! I'm not gonna post screenshots because I'm away from my normal computer but you got Bean & Kylis Shenanigans and DS Book 3.
I haven't really talked about either but I want to connect some of the dots for Shenanigans: Bean is a quasi-parent to Red from the Melichacha crew. When Red was six, Bean, who was training to be a teacher in the capital alongside Kylis, got his first placement as a middle school teacher in Red's town. In fact, partly because Red's mom was the placement coordinator for that area, Bean came to live with her and Red. Kylis, meanwhile, got placed somewhere else, possibly in the same city where they eventually became a drag queen's assistant. But you know they both got asked to use their teacher skills (such as the rare skill of being able to drive a car) for some real ridiculous stuff.
I had to actually go and look to see what DS book 3 was supposed to be because how the Delphonus Saga is divided up is still kind of uncertain. Here's the summary:
After months of training, the Melichacha crew is on break to go home and see their families for a month before the mission launches. This book follows all seven of them as they try to tie up loose ends and say goodbye.
I fucking love this whole book concept and I've written a tiny bit of it. The speed round version (made possible by the fact that the powerpoint intro exists) of what everyone gets up to is:
Quint faces up to the dad they're sure isn't proud of them
Vy was originally supposed to be the one non-astronaut member of the trifecta; that's changed but either way she has heart-to-hearts with her trans mom, probably about how things are going to shake out with her various partners after this mission
Red reflects a lot on home and how this might be eir last mission, in more than one way (ey're not like suicidal but this mission is scary)
Derik runs into his ex-boyfriend Mirilde in a coffee shop and gets back together with him
Wylie might still follow my old vision of making things right with his oldest sibling Snap - it depends on when Snap moved to Icepith I think
Binna has to reconcile the Silas situation and entertain some difficult feelings about her dad
Dez goes to Halli & Sam's wedding with Syndy as his plus one (originally Zalen and Silas's but I was like dude I dropped a canonical future wedding right here in TFA let's have the payoff)
🎡 Tell me to spin the wheel of wips and get a new fact! 🎡

Using sesame oil after you shower and yes, using it and the external of your private areas even between your butt Cheeks and butt crack...
It protects those areas from environmental contamination and also helps prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation!!! As it says, it protects against ultra violent rays...
Sesame oil contains vitamin E, which can help protect skin cells from the damage caused by environmental factors, such as UV rays, pollution, and toxins. Sesame oil also contains several phenolic compounds, which give it its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.Jul 1, 2019

Sesame Oil for Skin: Benefits and How to Use It - Healthline
As you see here, sesame oil protects against radiation. That means putting it on the externals of your private area helps protect against radiation. And this would be good recommended if you're going in. For radiation treatment or x rays to protect those other areas to try to minimize exposure... It is good for people that work in the healthcare industry that might be exposed to radiation on a daily basis.... It's just an extra layer of precaution, but again, you can have things that are in your clothing. The mining of your clothing material that helps naturally protect against radiation...
Yes, sesame oil can help protect the skin against radiation by absorbing and reflecting some UV rays:
Antioxidants: Sesame oil contains antioxidants like sesamol, sesamolin, and sesamide that can help protect skin from UV damage.
UV resistance: Sesame oil can resist up to 30% of UV rays, which is more than other oils.
Skin protection: A 2018 study found that applying sesame oil topically can help create a protective layer on the skin.
However, sesame oil alone is not enough protection from the sun, and you should still use a sunscreen. You can also try these other sun protection methods:
Limit sun exposure, especially between 12 PM and 4 PM
Seek shade when possible
Wear protective clothing
Sesame oil also has other benefits for the skin, including: Anti-inflammatory properties, Antibacterial properties, and May help with acne-prone skin and acne scars.
Before using sesame oil on your skin, you should talk to your doctor or dermatologist to see if it's right for your skin type.
Assessment of the Sunscreen Properties of Sesame Oil Using ...
Sesame oil has been widely used for centuries. It is not only used as a kitchen ingredient, but it is also used to apply to the skin. Sesame oil contains natura...
MDPI
And this is clothing that astronauts would wear in the international space station, and pilots would wear and flight attendants as part of their uniform, and this means they also would wear caps... Yes, that hat you wear as a pilot. Well, as a flight attendant, you would wear a form of hat as well.It would go with your uniform... so this is important if you work on nuclear aircraft carriers are working nuclear facilities that you'clothing yes, the clothing you wear under your lab coat, which the lab codes should protect you from all forms of radiation, but the clothing itself that you wear your undergarments and outer garments and then the lab coat all protect you from radiation... So that means like navy personnel that work on these nuclear ships, they're undergarments plus there are outer garments plus Ds their Coats, and that if they wear, they have multiple layers of protection against radiation exposure plus putting sesame oil on to further protect But you can get a blended oil that does a broad based spectrum of radiation protection!!! Just like they say here, no fabric protects against all radiation, but that's not true. That's why we have composits so what do you do you layer in different strands of fabric? So you get a full protection, and you have in inner and outer layer, you can have it inner middle An outer layer three layers of lining in between is a layer, so all three layers can protect against radiation so with design right, it protects against all forms of radiation!!!!
While no fabric can completely block all forms of radiation naturally, fabrics like wool, polyester, denim (tightly woven cotton), silk, hemp, and bamboo offer good inherent protection against UV radiation due to their fiber structure and density, with darker colors providing even greater shielding; for protection against other types of radiation like X-rays, specialized fabrics containing lead or other heavy metals are typically required.
Key points about these fabrics:
High UV protection:
Wool: Naturally blocks a significant amount of UV rays, also breathable and comfortable.
Polyester: Offers excellent UV protection, especially when tightly woven.
Denim: Due to its dense weave, denim provides good UV protection.
Silk: Lightweight and naturally shields UV rays, but may require special care.
Hemp: Considered a good natural option for sun protection.
Bamboo: Soft, breathable, and offers good UV resistance.
Factors impacting protection:
Weave density: Tightly woven fabrics generally provide better protection than loose weaves.
Color: Darker colors tend to absorb more UV radiation than lighter colors.
Fabric treatment: Some fabrics can be treated with additional UV-blocking chemicals.
Important considerations:
For radiation protection beyond UV (like X-rays): Special clothing containing lead or other heavy metals is necessary.
Check UPF ratings: When choosing sun protective clothing, look for a high Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating.
Consult a professional: If you require radiation protection for specific situations, consult with a medical professional or radiation safety expert to choose the appropriate clothing materials.
Sun Protective Clothing - The Skin Cancer Foundation
Construction: Densely woven cloth, like denim, canvas, wool or synthetic fibers, are more protective than sheer, thin or loosely woven cloth. ... Unbleached cot...
The Skin Cancer Foundation
And also this means swimsuits protecting those private areas from radiation exposure, and it can have a lining that's antibacterial as well on the interior and exterior and the middle lining, it's a lining that protects against all forms of radiation. So it has an exterior middle lining and interior lining. And the exterior interior antimicrobial, and the middle layer is a composite that protects against all forms of radiation, and the middle mining can be a composite of multiple linings...
REI
https://www.rei.com › ... › Clothing
How to Choose Sun-Protection (UPF) Clothing
Fiber type: Polyester does an excellent job at disrupting UV light, as does nylon. Wool and silk are moderately effective. Cotton, rayon, flax and

So yes, you can protect all the people all the time from everything!!! It is possible they have the broadest spectrum of protection!!! That the probability of something negative occurring is point 000001!!!! And this is critical to protect them against aggregate exposures!!!!

Nostalgia
Today I feel nostalgic, but it doesn't feel the same.
Sometimes, while scrolling through social media or talking with my kids I'll get an itch of it, of a feeling that I once was there too or had the same toys, been to the same places that certain things gave me the joy I see on their faces. But right now I don't feel the same.
Nostalgia to me right now feels like a liminal and empty world clouded by a minty cold mist of a longing.
It's flashbacks of road trips with my siblings sleeping next to me while my grandpas dad rock plays on repeat the entire way.
It's my old daycare in California, where I first jumped on a trampoline and watched "bear in the big blue house"
Or my first daycare in Idaho with Victor, a chocolate lab and I made playdough sculptures.
It's Bratz dolls and Boardwalks and the way I was definitely going to be a marine biologist if my astronaut career didn't work out.
It's my grandma's backyard and the wine bottle corks she collected.
I remember hiding my DS under my pillow and pretending to sleep when my mom walked by my room and I still remember my favorite Nintendog.
I remember feeling brave and proud of myself
I remember how the excitement of Christmas morning kept me up all night and how sleepless the next weeks were after getting my first GameCube.
I had friends, and played pretend.
I had no idea how bad the bad things were that happened to me.
I watched Barbie and thought I was a fairy princess.
I was close with my siblings.
I was excited to grow up and just knew my life would be spectacular.
I don't know how all of these happy things can feel so painfully empty. I am so let down and drained and lifeless. Is this what memories feel like? I don't want them, truly honestly do not want anything to do with them anymore. I wish somebody could have prepared me for this, for grieving like this about a life I never could have and the innocence I lost. The TIME I lost. For the child I will never be again.

Tumblr media
Losing followers by the dozen cause no one knows what the fuck a Pierre Poillievre is, or what year Ford made the model Doug. Green Party leader Elizabeth May? Elizabeth May do what? Jack Layton? Isn't that a Nintendo DS game? Marc Garneau the chill astronaut and Julie Payette the not-so-chill astronaut. Saskatchewan party, that sounds like a euphemism for getting lost in the woods. Whaddya mean they put Nova Scotia to the North of New England? How original, it'd be like calling someplace Newfoundland. Get rocked buddy. British Columbia is a magical place with rainforests but no cocaine, figures the British hate fun.

ep. 19
i love koro sensei casually lording over the fact that his very existence has changed the way the world works
itona the goat really admitting that as much as he would like to go to fucking space, he's not the most deserving.
bro they really broke into a fucking space shuttle huh
DUDE I COULD NEVER
I love koro sensei putting on his sincere voice omg the dub actor they got knocked his role out of the park
bro imagine being an astronaut on the iss and you get a routine delivery and there's a fucking stowaway onboard
ritsu being considered part of the class AUGH
hehehe fake bomb lmao
karma bringing a ds to space lmafo
THEN RITSU HAVING AND EMOTION AAAAAA
AND THEN THE TAKE THE FILTER OFF HER VOICE AAAAAHHHAHA MY HEART
BRO THE ACCURACY TO LAND THE FUCKING SPACE SHUTTLE IN A POOL
"hey i know we stole a space shuttle but i got some cool science we even?"
bro koro sensei almost got it if he actually put time into that he could have found a way to survive
fuckitwhynotASSASSINATIN CLASSROOM LIVEBLOG GO!!!!
everyone please skip this if u havent seen bc there spoilers!!!!!!!! its a good show fuck you go watch it!!!!!!!!
ep. 0 but ive seen it before so i spoil some later (like final episode later) stuff right off the bat
godd it been like a year since ive last seen this but i used to rewatch it every few months lol. started thinking about how the fact that koro-sensei has a beam attack feels like an ass pull bc it is but its still well-written despite that (similar to other thing his tentacles can do, he's had no reason to use it before, established reason for hiding abilities) and now i just wanna re-watch the show again bc its been too long tbh
