25 Days of SW update
Hey guys,
I know I’m a day or two behind on the 25 Days if Star Wars countdown. Without getting too personal, I’m going through a very tough time right now with my mental health. I’d love to keep updating regularly, especially with IX coming out so soon, but it’ll be a tough go of it (and I wouldnt be surprised if you noticed that the quality of my writing — while never that high — has taken a dip in the last month or so because honestly it’s all I can do to even hit 3-4kwords on a chapter update sometimes)
Anyway, I hope you’re having a great weekend, and I hope you’re doing many Star Wars-y things to get in the mood for TROS! Here’s a picture of babie Yoda to lighten the mood

Living Long Enough to See Your Hero Become the Villain: A Personal History of Pokemon and Me
by Julianne Estur, design by Grace Ciacciarelli
I’ve never been much of a romantic. For as long as I remember, my ideal relationship has been one that looks a lot like a regular best friend relationship. I always loved the term “partner.” It perfectly evoked the kind of intimacy I always dreamed of: the kind shared by equals who were always thriving together.
The first fictional pairing I ever loved was PearlShipping. For those who don’t understand the language of Pokemon’s unorthodox ship naming conventions, PearlShipping was Ash/Dawn from the “Diamond and Pearl” saga. I loved how, in contrast with his previous female companions, Dawn was always presented as Ash’s equal. They were constantly shown training together. Utilizing each other’s techniques was sometimes what secured the victory in a particularly close battle. They never missed each other’s matches, and they even have a signature high five and an entire song called “High Touch” dedicated to their bond. Detractors argue that their relationship reads as too platonic. This was the exact reason I adored them so much as a kid. To me, Ash and Dawn exemplified the concept of “partners.” PearlShipping single-handedly shaped my romantic sensibilities. This is all a roundabout way of saying that the Pokemon franchise, specifically the Sinnoh games of “Diamond”/”Pearl”/”Platinum” and the accompanying anime (also known as “Generation 4”), made me who I am.
Of course, though I had a deep fondness for the originals, I dreamed of one day seeing these games get modern updates so I could immerse myself in Sinnoh like never before. Pokemon has always had a custom of remaking older games for newer hardware, which are actually often beneficial for the source material. After Generation 3 remakes on the 3DS in 2014, Generation 4 was next in line. “Sinnoh confirmed” was a meme for the fanbase, with many begging and praying for a drop every single time that Pokemon said they were going to announce something new.
After literal years, finally… Sinnoh was confirmed. On November 19, 2021, “Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl” were released for the Switch. But they were incomplete. Copies came with a message urging players to download a day one patch because the games were missing content, including basic elements like a finalized soundtrack. But how did we get here? What started as a simple idea inspired by creator Satoshi Tajiri’s childhood love of catching bugs has exploded into the highest-grossing media franchise of all time in a mere 25 years, surpassing much older franchises like Hello Kitty, Star Wars, and Mickey Mouse & Friends with a total profit of $100 billion. Even in the throes of the pandemic, Pokemon managed to rack up its biggest net profit ever in 2020, clocking in at around $174 million.
Pokemon isn’t just a video game series; it’s an unfathomably gigantic brand consisting of merchandise such as stuffed animals and clothing, an entire trading card game with its own worldwide collecting and competitive scene, an animated show, 23 movies, and a plethora of other more obscure properties like ASMR YouTube videos. The video games are the lifeblood of it all: a new generation means new merchandisable Pokemon. Pokemon games don’t have to be great as long as they provide the material for other avenues of profit.
A new Pokemon game comes out about every two years, even though many of the failings of post-DS Pokemon could be rectified with longer development times. The first main titles on the Switch, “Sword and Shield” (2019), most exemplify this. The promotion period was rife with controversy and increasingly divided the fanbase over many issues, most notably the infamous Dexit”. The National Dex is a feature in every past game that essentially indexes the code of every Pokemon, past or present, into the game, therefore allowing all Pokemon to be used (via trade or transferring from different games) even if they aren’t available in that region by default. “Sword and Shield” are the first games to cut this feature; hence, “Dexit.” The backlash wasn’t necessarily because of Dexit itself, but because of how the developers at “Game Freak” rationalized this decision. They stated that they cut some Pokemon out in order to focus on giving the ones that were in the game new models and animations. This makes sense; after all, it’s much harder to manage 3D models of 700+ Pokemon than the pixel sprites of the pre-3D days. However, once the game actually came out, people realized very quickly that the models and animations for Pokemon and human characters alike were completely recycled from previous games. It’s the dishonesty of the developers that really upset fans so much, and this was also concerning since the corner-cutting was a result of the unnecessary time crunch.
There were a lot of other problems in “Sword and Shield” that originated in the 3DS era, where many believe things started to go downhill. Exploration is a huge component of the series. Many of the older games achieved this through nonlinear regions and the inclusion of completely extra areas, the discoveries of which acted as rewards for players who put in the time. “Sword and Shield,” however, was the most linear game yet. Most of the routes were straight lines, and cities were large but mainly composed of set dressing. There was an egregious amount of hand-holding—yet another way to steer players from exploring. Pokemon, despite its expansive scale that now encompasses a multiverse, has been shrinking. Much of this is in line with the mindset of director Junichi Masuda, who explained in a 2014 interview that apparently kids are too busy playing free mobile games and have no time for Pokemon, so making the games hard would probably turn them away from it. This is an out-of-touch and frankly insulting sentiment. Don’t kids nowadays deserve fulfilling and stimulating media experiences?
Wasn’t this the franchise whose famous theme song starts with the line, “I wanna be the very best like no one ever was”? Growth is so inherent to Pokemon’s philosophy. Yes, there are arguments to be made about how Ash Ketchum being the protagonist of the anime for 20 years and counting exhibits stagnation, but there’s still something poignant about how there are always places he has yet to go and things he has yet to learn. The games themselves start out with you having nothing except a level five starter Pokemon and makes you fight increasingly difficult trainers until you become the Champion of the region. All the while, your team is leveling up and evolving into more powerful forms. It was so bizarre to see a series so furiously at odds with its own identity.
It felt a lot like finding out Santa Claus isn’t real, except it happens when you’re a lot older and think that nothing can faze you anymore. I was already a senior in high school during the height of the backlash; I’d lived through J.K. Rowling’s self-inflicted character assassination and Disney’s… well, everything. It shouldn’t have surprised me, but it was still unexpected. I had spent so long imagining a Pokemon game on the grand scale the series deserved.
Before high school, I made the silly decision to get rid of all my games, telling myself I had “outgrown” them. I would eventually regret this; the DS games are now out of print, and the only way to obtain copies is secondhand. Even this wasn’t viable for me, as authentic cartridges of older Pokemon games were now selling for several hundred dollars on eBay. It was discouraging to know that these pieces of my childhood were unattainable. There were methods like emulation to replay the games, but it wasn’t the same. There was something too special to me about getting to own the physical cartridges. This changed in 2018 when my friend somehow got me a copy of “Platinum” for Christmas.
I finally replayed “Platinum” over winter break last year, and it certainly has its flaws. Every single Pokemon game, including “Platinum,” follows the exact same formula with very little deviance to the story structure or gameplay. The Sinnoh games are notoriously slow-paced, and certain areas were so annoying to travel through that it sometimes took me out of it completely.
But Sinnoh is home to me. It’s so distinct. I still see it as the Pokemon region that’s just a little more esoteric than its other counterparts. It’s the coldest region, and there’s charm in the remnants of melting snow among the otherwise green scenery of your hometown, Twinleaf Town. Sinnoh is home to the Pokemon world’s creation mythos: Dialga (time), Palkia (space), Giratina (antimatter), and Arceus (“The Original One”). Platinum has the player travel through the Distortion World, an awesomely wicked and disorienting dungeon that involves descending deeper and deeper to a confrontation with the shadowy Giratina. There are events like the player waking up on an island after experiencing a bad dream, where they encounter Darkrai, a Pokemon heavily associated with nightmares. Sinnoh is a little bit dark in flavor, and yet it is heavily juxtaposed by many beautiful locations like the pastel flower fields of Floaroma Town, or Hearthome City and its motto of “Warm & Kind.”
This was also the same time I realized that I really sucked at video games as a child. Cynthia, the final boss of the Sinnoh games, is widely considered to be one of the hardest battles in the entire series. This was because I literally always got rid of my stat buffing and debuffing moves in favor of only using attacking moves. This time, I used a move to buff my Houndoom’s attack to +6. Houndoom promptly proceeded to one shot her entire team, including her ace Garchomp, which is legendary among fans for how hard it is to take down. It was satisfying, being able to realize, “Yes, I actually am smarter than I was when I was ten.”
I’ve also been rewatching “Diamond and Pearl,” expecting to find it a lot more immature this time. The series still elicits embarrassingly strong emotional reactions from me. There’s a lot of solid character writing, including a thoughtful storyline that involves Ash taking in a Chimchar that was abused by its former trainer, an arc that stretches the entirety of the series and culminates in a touching victory against the same person who discarded it due to its perceived weakness. Dawn’s journey to feeling more confident in herself is one that made her my all-time favorite character as a kid, and I still think she’s deserving of a spot on my favorites list. I’ll probably be a PearlShipping lover forever. Much of my rewatch has involved me yelling “shut up” (because I feel miserable over how darn cute they are) at the screen whenever Ash and Dawn interact, which is almost all the time. Dawn made a reappearance in the new Pokemon anime earlier in January, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I almost fell to my knees and wept after seeing Ash Dawn high-five again. In 2022!
There are some pieces of media that you’ll always love, no matter how much you or it changes. I was hurt by the fact that my favorite childhood franchise refused to grow with me, but it hurt because I loved it so much and wanted to see it be better than it was before. It’s not as if the series has never tried though it’s arguably worse to only be given glimpses of what could be. “Sword and Shield” introduced the open world mechanic of the Wild Area, even if it was ultimately empty and full of Pokemon that did very little except walk around aimlessly. The drive for profit continuously refuses to let it evolve fully. The Pokemon Company takes advantage of the fact that whatever it releases will sell. Despite its flaws, Sword and Shield sold 22.6 million copies. Even though Pokemon’s current model sabotages itself alone, it continues to reap the rewards.
“Pokemon: Legends Arceus,” released on January 28, gives me hope for the future of the series after playing it for around 10 hours. It’s the biggest deviation from the formula to date: real-time combat mechanics, brand new animations for every Pokemon in the game (finally), and being a prequel set in Ancient Sinnoh; yet it is so quintessentially Pokemon. This idea of having to document every Pokemon in the region harkens back to the series’ original slogan of “Gotta catch ‘em all!” and so much of the game simply involves the player exploring these vast new areas with a refreshing lack of hand-holding. There are some shortcomings, of course. The graphics aren’t great, and some Pokemon at a distance run at what looks like 2 FPS. The world is bigger than it's ever been but still suffers from feeling empty at times.
There is so much possibility for the future of Pokemon. Oftentimes, the most innovative mechanics in one generation are scrapped the next. They could return to the old formula now. Or they could take the series to unimaginable heights. With three years having passed since “Sword and Shield,” Generation 9 could be close, with some speculating an announcement as early as Spring 2022 (personally, the best case scenario is that they don’t say anything for the next three years, because that would mean they’re actually giving “Game Freak” longer development times). Either way, for better or for worse, I’ll be sticking around to see it.

Saw this video game tag thing pop up on my dash a few days ago. Wanted to do it.
1. First game you played obsessively? Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I believe I was 5yo. Still waiting on that FF7 Remake treatment.
2. A game that has influenced you creatively? Writing, drawing, etc. Well if I play a game and like it, then I'll create sims of it. Does that count?
3. Who did you play with as a kid? My brother from the day I was born.
4. Who do you play with now? My brother FROM THE DAY I WAS BORN.
5. Ever use cheat codes? I wasn't lying when I made this post. {link}
6. Ever buy strategy guides? Yes! Mainly to look at the artwork though. (Don't need no guide!)
7. Any games you have multiple copies of? Lots of games, most being Left 4 Dead with 6 copies (3 Xbox 360, 1 PC case, 2 PC digitally.) What can I say, its a GOOD GAME!
8. Rarest/Most expensive game in your collection? Gold cartridge Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (maybe that's rare?)
9. Most regrettable purchase? I don't regret my purchases, but I have received games I have never played like Cubix (PS2) no clue where that game came from, but I have it somehow. Madagascar (Xbox 360) came with my Xbox 360, never opened it from its case. And Monsters Inc. Scream Arena (Gamecube) or something... it was a gift.
10. Ever go to a midnight game release or stand in line for hours? No, because then I'd have to interact with people.
11. Have you ever made new friends from playing video games? I'm only friends with people BECAUSE of video games, so yes.
12. Ever get picked on for liking games? No, that'd be ridiculous.
13. A game you’ve never played that everyone else has? Probably a lot, I'd say Call of Duty, but I technically played CoD 1, 2, and 4. The campaign mode was alright, but I don't really care for CoD games at ALL.
14. Favorite game music? Koji Kondo and Grant Kirkhope are two BIG ones.
15. If it was a requirement to get a game related tattoo, what would you pick? Triforce is the most basic option, but I'd rather not get a tattoo.
16. Favorite game to play with your friends IRL? Super Smash Bros. Brawl with hacks, but that was over a decade ago.
17. Ever lose a friend over a game? No, that'd be ridiculous.
18. Would you date someone that hates gaming? No, that'd be RIDICULOUS.
19. Favorite handheld console? PSP. 3DS is great, but PSP Monster Hunter has ALL of my portable gaming memories. Like playing in school after End of Grade tests with my friend.
20. Game that you know like the back of your hand? Sims 4 I like to think I know everything about Left 4 Dead. Quite a bit about Monster Hunter, more so of a series though than a specific game.
21. Game that you didn’t like or understand as a kid but love now? I'd say Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. I loved it as a kid, but had a lot of complex pen & paper RPG mechanics that I never understood. I understand a lot more of it now, but its still complex as all heck. I just know you hit things, they die.
22. Do you wear game related clothing/accessories? That's the only thing I wear.
23. The game that you’ve logged the most hours into? Not sure so I'll list a few. Sims 4, Smash Bros. Brawl, Monster Hunter (its a series though), or Left 4 Dead
24. First Pokemon game? Leaf Green
25. Were you ever an arcade game player? No, don't like paying to play.
26. Ever form any gaming rivalries? No.
27. Game that makes you rage? I don't get mad at games, but I had a custom modded Hard Eight mutation in Left 4 Dead that is absolute bullsh*t!
28. Ever play in a tournament? No, because then I'd have to interact with people.
29. What is your gaming set up? A giant wall of video game consoles spanning from NES to Switch, 4 TVs, but I sit at a desk with a PC.
30. How many consoles do you own? "I own every console that's ever existed." - I Don't Play Games When I Play Games (My STRENTH) original song by Smooth McGroove BUT no seriously I own 32 consoles including handhelds.
31. Does the 3DS and/or Virtual Boy hurt your eyes or give you headaches? Yes. 3DS gave me headaches though I only really played with the 3D feature in Ocarina of Time 3D. I think my eyes broke because I couldn't get my 3D to work very well after.
32. Did you ever play a game based on your favorite show/cartoon/movie/comic? Sure I play games based on a lot of things. Literally any anime game. If I had to pick Dragon Ball Xenoverse is kinda like a dream Dragon Ball game. Oh, Attack on Titan 2 is pretty neat too!
33. Did you ever have any bootleg games or plug-n-play games? Some SEGA plug-n-play thing once. Played it like once and now its lost to time (or my closet.)
34. Do either of your parents play video games? Yes. Mom and Dad played NES Super Mario Bros. My Dad went HARD at that game until he saved the Princess. Then he quit forever.
35. Ever work in a game store? Or do you have a favorite game shop? "Hi. Welcome to Gamestop!"I never want to hear that again, but it was my main store until I went full digital/ online orders.
36. Have you ever shed actual blood, sweat or tears over a game? No, I don't tend to get upset or emotional, but Bill dying in Left 4 Dead made me pretty pissed.
37. Have you played E.T. for the Atari 2600? Do you think that’s the worst game ever, or do you have another nomination? Never played it. I don't really play "bad" games, but maybe Sims 4.
38. A game you’re ashamed to admit that you like? The Sims 4
39. A sequel that you would die for them to make? Dragon's Dogma 2 WHICH I think is actually in development, so I'd have to say Fallout New Vegas 2. C'mon Bethesda you cowards, hand the keys back over to Obsidian so they can make another good Fallout game!
40. What to you think of virtual reality headsets or motion controls? Two part question, two answers. VR Headset to immerse in world, yes. Motion Controls, no.
41. A genre that you just can’t get into? MOBAs and MMOs. I don't like paying to keep playing.
42. Maybe it wasn’t your first game, but what was the game that started you on your path to nerdiness? Nintendo 64 opened me up to what video games could be as a kid. Sad to say my parents' NES didn't really do that for me. And years later Fallout 3 was a big game changer for me too.
43. Ever play games when you really should have been concentrating on something else? Every day of my LIFE.
44. Arcade machine that has consumed the most of your quarters? None. I'd rather emulate.
45. How are you at Mario Kart? Pretty dang good. 3-STARS MARIO KART WII, BABY!
46. Do you like relaxing games like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon? Yes, both of those. I preferred when Animal Crossing had more character to it. New Horizons looks so pretty, but feels so bland compared to classic AC.
47. Do you like competitive games? No. Not really. Usually amongst friends or if I can get competitive against AI Bots. I love my machine bot friends cause they don't cry like 10 year olds when they lose.
48. How long does it take your to customize your player character? Too long. I've seriously restarted games because I wasn't happy with my character's appearance.
49. In games where you can pick your class, do you always tend to go for the same type of character? Yes, I am always the magic man, my brother is always brute warrior, and my friend is the ranger.
50. If you were a game designer, what masterpiece would you create? I don't really know. Honestly, I'd rather mod already good games to make them better than create something completely new.
51. Have you ever played a game for so long that you forgot to eat or sleep? No, that'd be ridiculous. But I've had a friend fall asleep playing games at my house 3 different times and currently dozes off during our Minecraft sessions. So, maybe that's not a completely ridiculous thing after all.
52. A game that you begged your parents for as a kid? Kirby 64 apparently. My brother tells me we had to count out pennies to buy it. I must've been too young with no recollection, but I believe it.
53. What’s your opinion on DLC these days? It's good if its not in the game's files from the beginning and is actually developed AFTER launch... and pre-order bonuses should be standard DLC a month or two later. Some games have content lost to time because of that pre-order bullsh*t.
54. Do you give in to Steam sales? Of course. If you want a game and its on sale then why not? I typically wait just for Steam sales to get games.
55. Did you ever make someone you hated in the Sims and did mean stuff to them? No? I typically make people and characters I like in Sims. I've made villains like Dio, but he's an anime villain and I don't really HATE him despite the horrible things he's done.
56. Did you ever play Roller Coaster Tycoon and kill off your guests? No. Never played that game.
57. Did you ever play a game to 100% or get all of the achievements? I try to for all the games I really like.
58. If you can only play 3 games for the rest of your life, which ones do you pick? The Sims 4, Skyrim, & Fallout: New Vegas. Mods make them live forever. Left 4 Dead and Monster Hunter are good choices too.
59. Do you play any cell phone games? Those aren't games.
60. Do you know the Konami Code? No? But I'll take a guess. Is it make an IP and forget it exists?
61. Do you trade in your games or keep them forever? Keep forever... even the bad ones.
62. Ever buy a console specifically to play one game? PS4 Pro for Monster Hunter World. It was basically for early access since the PC version was being developed and releasing after PS4, but I don't like waiting.
63. Ever go to a gaming convention or tournament? Sort of. Been to anime cons and walked into the gaming tournament rooms only to walk out less than 10 minutes later.
64. Ever make a TV or monitor purchase based on what would be best for gaming? No, but I'm going to be doing that soon, hopefully.
65. Ever have a Game Genie, Game Shark or Action Replay? Did it ever mess up your game’s save file? GameShark for N64, PS2, Gameboy, and Action Replay for Gamecube, DS, 3DS. And no not really, I would cheat responsibly... but there was this one time at school my friend and I borrowed another friend's Gameboy game, loaded it up with my Gameshark, tried playing, it crashed, loaded it back up, save file corrupted... we just stared at each other jaws dropped, "Here's your game back, dude. Make sure you don't play it til you get back home!"
66. Did you ever have have an old Nokia with Snake on it? No, but I remember seeing them on billboards in the game DRIV3R on PS2.
67. Do you have a happy gaming-related childhood memory you want to share? Every game I play is filled with happy memories (mostly.)
68. Ever save up a ton of tickets in an arcade to get something cool? These tiger plushes. My brother got white and I got orange. They were the coolest. Got a butt load of tickets from some jackpot spinning light game thing as I was good at the timing with repeated jackpot hits.
69. In your opinion, best game ever made? I've played quite a few masterpiece games, but to pick one, I'd say Fallout: New Vegas
70. Very first game you ever beat? Super Mario 64. I was a mere child on a Sunday morning and ate celebratory pancakes made by my Dad.
Wow, that was long... I get the feeling this was supposed to be a "send me ask with numbers" thing, but answering all at once is more fun.

Matt Giguere’s Top 25 DS Games
It’s strange to think Nintendo, once again, had to prove themselves in the handheld space after the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance handily served every bit of competition it faced. Yet in 2004, the Nintendo DS faced an uphill battle to show that having the best and fastest hardware wouldn’t necessarily result in the best sales. 16 years and 154 million units later, the legacy of the DS is strong, evident in the deluge of smartphone and mobile games that rely on a touch interface. It’s a shame Nintendo and other publishers are not being better stewards to their catalogues of games as there are still many that are only playable on the original hardware, and few seem to make the jump to the current set of consoles and computers. Still, it is easy to find an original DS that works and there are still plenty of cheap titles to pick up. Here’s a selection of my favorite games to hit the handheld.
1. Meteos
Can a puzzle game top Tetris? Honestly, thanks to the minds of Tetsuya Mizuguchi and Masahiro Sakurai, Meteos manages to blast past the mesosphere and comes the closest to a space rendezvous with the original falling brick puzzler. What makes it fun to play? While it can get rather hectic and fast paced, the touch screen makes matching three or more pieces a cinch. Blasting off these little “meteos” using rocket propulsion and fighting against the forces of gravity creates a very addictive hook with some variety that keeps it from being stale. It is a simple and effective puzzle game that showcases why a touch-based interface can work for some games better than what button presses can do. Add in easy to use single cart multiplayer and the single-player Star Trip mode to keep you sharp, and you have a puzzle game for the ages.
2. Elite Beat Agents
Imagine being stuck in an impossible situation, like having to face down a runaway golem, or sneak into a corporate office using your ninja powers? Who do you call to help in this situation? This is a job for the Elite Beat Agents: A government agency that cheers you on to the grooves of radio hits from the ’70s to the ’00s. The idea of playing a rhythm game where you have to tap and slide didn’t sit well with my snobbish DDR and Guitar Hero ways. Why tap a screen when I can “dance” and “rock out?” Little did I know this was just as valid a way to feel the music and beat out a jam, and soon after I was feeling the hand cramps of too much furious tapping while I carefully made sure I didn't “Ouendan” the bottom screen. There’s a very strange energy to this game that permeates from the different scenarios to the beat of the soundtrack. I might not dig every song served in the playlist, but I can’t help but try and top my score on Sk8er Boi for the 100th time! With all the trouble in the world, maybe we need more games (and people) like EBA these days.
3. Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Oh Advance Wars, your time was too short over here. But hey! At least we were given a great first outing on the DS, and all these years later, it is still a blast to play. Using the second screen to quickly glance at unit and area information is a welcomed addition, but Second Front battles add a new dimension to the core strategy game that really sells the top screen. Throw in all the CO Tag Powers and a map editor built for a touch interface, and it’s hard to see how anything can top this release of Advance Wars. But seriously Intelligent Systems and Nintendo, please give the franchise one more shot!
4. Tetris DS
Yeah, it's Tetris. But also, it’s Tetris! Maybe it is one of those “skips a generation” thing, as you can kind of plot the best versions of portable Tetris are on the GameBoy, the DS, and the Switch. Tetris DS may be sacrilegious to some with its hold options and infinity spin technique, but this is what I think makes this version unique beyond the various modes and dual screen support. To me it creates a faster version of Tetris that is easy to get into, but can be a fun challenge to master. The addition of Nintendo-themed boards to go with the different modes of play not seen in other versions also adds to this unique addition to the Tetris line. Looking for a version of Tetris with more to do than just the base game? Tetris DS has the most to offer.
5. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
This game should have been a hit. Maybe the marketing hyped this game up too much? Maybe more people were spoiled by the full 3D realization of the GTA formula with GTA 3? Maybe the music wasn’t the same without the radio hits? Maybe if the synthwave revival had hit the scene sooner it would’ve helped? Whatever the case, this is a gem of a GTA game. While it misses out on the full production of the home console and PSP “Stories” line (I think full voice acting would have helped this version of the game immensely,) just about every aspect of the big brother version is here in this miniature version of Liberty City. From hijacking cars to outrunning the fuzz, this top-down 3D GTA gives a full helping of the open world mayhem the series is known for. The bottom screen minigames can get a touch annoying, but they hardly get in the way like many other games on the DS. Rounding out this game is the drug peddling economy minigame. Not only does it fit the setting and overall style of the game, but it enables a great opportunity for emergent gameplay to unfold with big risks and big gains. It baffles me* how Rockstar won’t develop this further in their games’ single player campaigns. Check it out, as it’s still rather cheap on the DS and is also available on the PSP and most modern mobile devices. *I’m clearly ignoring the real money cash flow of online microtransactions. 6. Kirby: Canvas Curse
7. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
8. Mario Kart DS
9. Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck
10. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
11. WarioWare Touched!
12. Star Fox Command
13. Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story
14. 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
15. Final Fantasy IV
16. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
17. Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!
18. The World Ends with You
19. Professor Layton and the Curious Village
20. Mega Man XZ
21. Pokemon Black/White
22. Photo Dojo
23. Style Savvy
24. New Super Mario Bros
25. The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass

From a recent interview with GRRM:
“The success of the show and the success of other things has injected a lot of other aspects into my life. So sometimes I lay in bed at night and I’m not thinking about…Westeros. I’m thinking about some other problem I’m having, one of the other shows I’m involved with, or a deadline on an anthology I’m editing, or something that’s happening with the non-profit organization that I started. All of these other things are filling my head and that is one of the thing’s that’s delayed me. I really have to get Winds done. I have to put myself on a state where I’m not being distracted by other stuff, and that period of time at night is filled with the voices of Tyrion Lannister and Arya Stark and the other fictional characters who live inside of me.”
”Now that the show’s over, any stress in that regard is done, but of course, we have five successor shows in various stages of development ... I’m involved with those as well. Game of Thrones, that particular story, may be over on TV, but it’s not over for me–I still have these two more books to write. And there’s other stories in the world of Westeros, which is an entire world, and I’m still deeply involved with those. So believe me, there’s plenty to keep me busy.”
"I do indeed have millions of people waiting for this book to come out, which is very gratifying…but some of them are extremely impatient and some of them are full of their own ideas about the fates of the various characters. I’m glad they can get so emotionally involved with these characters, but sometimes I yearn for the days when I could just work in quiet obscurity…but those days are gone for me, I’m afraid. This is the reality of my life now."
https://wgnradio.com/2019/10/04/the-chicago-way-w-john-kass-10-04-19-george-r-r-martin-talks-about-got-haunting-his-dreams-finishing-the-ice-fire-series/
Extremely impatient fans? What the everloving fuck? Fans waiting for the ending to the series for 25 years are impatient? Waiting for the next book for 10 years in a series is impatient? Does he realize that the entire TV series started and ended and he has yet to put out one book? That people have been born and graduated and married and had children and have still not got an ending?
At one point I had thought we would at the least get TWoW, but now it’s clear that he’s not writing anymore and we are not even going to get the next book.
As much as D&D are trash writers who could not land the ending, GRRM is half to blame for not even attempting to finish the series after 25 fucking years. It’s clear that he does not know how to get to that vague ending he had in his mind originally and hence is putting off writing.
And that’s why all his words about being traumatized about the show’s writing rings fake to me. If one is so traumatized and pissed off at how the Ds are mangling one’s story then sit one’s ass down and write one’s own damn story you know?
This is the guy who said that he was going to stop being involved in GOT after season 4 in 2014 to concentrate and focus on writing TWoW. And now he’s focused on developing the prequel series instead of finishing the original story.... Like who gives a damn about the prequel series after how badly they fucked up the GOT ending?
Recall that in the original trilogy that these books were supposed to be: book one was about the War of the 5 kings, book 2 was about Dany’s invasion of Westeros and book 3 was about the war against the ice zombies in the North. Five books in and we have only now finished the war of the 5K and Dany has not even set out to Westeros yet! That’s how far behind he is. And he expects to finish this story in 2 books!
That’s the sad part about how badly the show ended. I always knew that we would not be getting a book ending from GRRM and was therefore looking for a good finish to the show as the only ending we were going to get. And those asshats in their rush to finish the series and move on to Star Wars dumped a steaming pile of manure on our laps. And can we really blame them for writing their own fanfiction at the end, considering the writer of this series has lost interest and does not bother to even finish the books before working on other projects.
GRRM’s been swindling fans for years about how he is writing these books. And using this to get people to watch the shows. And him thinking that he is the American Tolkien and criticizing Tolkien’s characters and plots? Laughable. Finish the books first buddy and then we can see if you measure up.
Until then he’s not even as good as the likes of Jordan and Sanderson who have completed entire fantasy series’ with a proper beginning, middle and end. Jordan wrote 11 huge books in 15 years and dictated notes on his deathbed so that someone else could complete the series and give fans an ending. That’s what dedication looks like and understanding that fans gave so much of their time to this story and that a writer owes it to them to finish. GRRM is only famous right now because of the TV show D&D made. So you are ‘traumatized’ by their writing of your characters? Then maybe finish what you started 25 years ago or just let the fans know that you are no longer interested so that we can move on, instead of grumbling about how impatient we all are.
#GRRM#asoiaf#anti-GRRM#rant#I am starting to dislike this guy intensely#I used to like his friendly old guy act#But the fact that he has moved on to developing more TV shows instead of finishing the original story is annoying me greatly#I am just glad Wheel of Time is a thing and we are getting a TV show for that#GOT#D&D

Drarry Fic Recs
Heed All Warnings and tags etc. They are in place for a reason.
I’ve compiled a small master list of Drarry Fanfiction recommendations - excuse the fact that I only read like 4 authors, all their stuff is just really good and I end up falling down a rabbit hole. Irregardless, I hope you find new fics to indulge in! Every single one of these authors are brilliant and I cannot sing their praises enough.
Short - Up to 20k
Fine I'll hold my breath / til i forget it's complicated by Teatrolley
10k - E
Summary: Harry and Draco become friends with benefits, and Harry thinks it's more complicated than it actually is
Erosmancy by astolat
11k - M
Summary: Blaise was immune to whatever it was people usually felt around his mother, for which he was profoundly grateful, since no one needed an Oedipal complex on quite that spectacular a scale, but that didn’t mean he didn’t have a thorough respect for her gift.
Newts by astolat
13k - E
Summary: “I’m twenty-eight!” Harry said. “I’ve been an Auror for ten years! You want me to go back to Hogwarts now?"
Notes: Written for prompt #1 by jokerofish: Harry's about to be promoted to the Head of the Auror Department when Zacharias Smith brings up a 235 year old law that states a department head must be a Hogwarts graduate- now Harry has to go back and graduate Hogwarts - unfortunately that means convincing Professor Malfoy to give him something more than D.
Reparatio by astolat
17k - E
Summary: Draco snorted. “I’m not reduced to penury. I want something considerably beyond money, and I rather think you’re the only one can give it to me.”“You want the Invisibility Cloak,” Harry said, flatly. He’d half expected as much; it was the only thing he had that Draco could want—“Don’t be stupid, Potter,” Draco said. “I want my reputation back.”
Medium - 20k - 70k
Here Be Dragons by birdsofshore
21k - E
Summary: Harry doesn’t want to waste his time investigating illegal dragonhide trading, whether it involves a fetish club in Knockturn Alley or visiting a remote island in Wales. Why the bloody hell does Malfoy always have to be up to something?
The Rules of Matchbreaking by PalenDrome (nerdherderette)
22k - E
Summary:
For Prompt #51: When Draco gets fired, he reluctantly agrees to break up a girl’s relationship for her disapproving mother. Through word of mouth, the one-time gig turns him into a professional Matchbreaker, however he winds up falling for one of his clients and must somehow balance his secret job and love life.
[excerpt]: “So who is it? The Curse-breaker and the Veela? The head of the Department of Magical Transportation?” Draco’s eyes lit up. “The Dragon-tamer?” Now that particular Weasley could be fun.“No. It’s Harry,” Hermione said, the name exploding out of her in a rush.Draco blinked, stunned into silence.“Harry,” he said, after he recovered his faculties. “You want me to break up Harry and the Weaselette?!"
The Critiquer by dysonrules
24k - E
Summary: When Harry submits his cock photo to a renowned Cock Critiquer and gets a terrible review, he decides to take a photography class to hopefully improve his skills.
Draco's Proposal by sibamoono
23k - E
Summary: Based off the film "The Proposal" Draco Malfoy has spent years making ammends for his misdeeds as a teenager. However it seems its not enough, as it continues to hinder his career. That is, until Harry Potter pops in unexpectedly.
Wish Upon A Star (as dreamers do) by ICMezzo
27k - R (You need an ao3 account for this particular fic - but it can also be found on LiveJournal)
Summary: There’s plant magic and celestial magic and dark magic and the normal magic that allows Harry to use a spell to clean his socks when Myrtle’s taken up in his laundry room again. Then there are wishes, and dreams, and love, and those are even more magical still.
The Four Ds of Apparition (or: Destination, Determination, Deliberation, and Dicks) by eidheann and firethesound
36k - E
Summary: After transferring to the Apparition Department, Harry's life becomes one big dick joke. And all his friends are arseholes. So is Malfoy, but what else is new? AKA Harry Potter and the eighteen twenty dicks.
A Convenient Impracticality by firethesound
38k - E
Summary: Somehow Harry ends up agreeing to a fake relationship with his ex-nemesis-turned-friendly-acquaintance-with-benefits, except for some reason it involves an awful lot of actual dating and, sadly, not much sex. Confused? Harry is too, but when has anything with Draco Malfoy ever been as straightforward as it seems?
The vanishing department by dicta_contrion
37k - E
Summary: The things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, even if that involves a lot more form-filling, bickering, covert glancing, miscommunication, and flying furniture than we might expect.
The Boy Who Only Lived Twice by lettered
54k - E
Summary: Harry Potter is an Unspeakable. Draco Malfoy is the wizard who shagged him. Adventure! Intrigue! Secret identities, celebrities, spies! It's all right here, folks.
Naked by bixgirl1
57k - E
Summary: Harry and Draco are sent on an undercover assignment to catch a Dark wizard — which might not be so bad if it weren't at a Muggle nudist resort. Now Draco has to deal with a very interested Harry, temptation he's long-since learned to ignore, and threats around every corner — including the one to his heart.
A Guide to the Morphology of Magic by wendlaa
64k - E
Summary: When Draco Malfoy is hand picked to investigate a string of curses cropping up in Muggle communities in North America, the last person he wanted to be traveling with was Harry Potter. You Open Always (petal by petal) by birdsofshore
65k - E
Summary: Harry’s not the kind of person who pays for sex. He really isn’t. Until he is.
Long - Over 70k
Tea and No Sympathy by Who-La-Hoop
70k - E
Summary: It's Potter's fault, of course, that Draco finds himself trapped in the same twenty-four-hour period, repeating itself over and over again. It's been nearly a year since the unpleasant business at Hogwarts, and Draco's getting on with his life quite nicely, thank you, until Harry sodding Potter steps in and ruins it all, just like always. At first, though, the time loop seems liberating. For the first time in his life, he can do anything, say anything, be anything, without consequence. But the more Draco repeats the day, the more he realises the uncomfortable truth: he's falling head over heels for the speccy git. And suddenly, the time loop feels like a trap. For how can he ever get Harry to love him back when time is, quite literally, against him?
Unhook the Stars by jad
70k - E
This is Top!Draco, so if that’s not your thing, maybe skip this one!
Summary: "Love is like a Rubix Cube: there are countless wrong twists and turns, but once you get it right, it's perfect no matter how you look at it." Seventy-thousand words of pornographic discourse between two boys-turned-men that still haven't learned how to communicate like normal people – with words. Guest appearances by Pansy Parkinson, Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, Blaise Zabini, Teddy Lupin, Gregory Goyle, the Weird Sisters, ex-wives, several Weasleys, a Boggart, and a Honey Badger.

Reparations by Saras_Girl
87k - E

Azoth by zeitgeistic (faire_weather)
88k - E
Summary: Now that Harry is back at Hogwarts with Hermione for eighth year, he realises that something’s missing from his life, and it either has to do with Ron, his boggart, Snape, or Malfoy. Furthermore, what, exactly, does it mean when one’s life is defined by the desire to simultaneously impress and annoy a portrait? Harry has no idea; he’s too busy trying not to be in love with Malfoy to care.
Balance, Imperfect by bixgirl1
91k - E
Summary: When Harry sustains an injury in the line of work, he no longer knows how to navigate the life he loved, and finds help and solace from the most unexpected source.
Helix by Saras_Girl

Bloody But Unbowed by Lomonaaeren
100k - E
Summary: Nothing in Harry’s life since the war has gone the way he expected. And now he’s the mediwizard assigned to take care of Lucius Malfoy, of all people. But he’s Harry; he grits his teeth and endures. He won’t allow even Draco Malfoy’s flirting, which he knows is just a joke, to disconcert him.
Starts With A Spin by Maxine
119k - E
Summary: It started with the spin of a bottle, and now Harry and Draco have gotten themselves so far into their own game there's almost no way out again. Except to keep playing.
Level Two: Series one by Ashii Black (ashiiblack), blamebrampton, Catsintheattic, dustmouth, epithalamium, incandescent (lmeden), JosephineStone, leveltwo, nerakrose, raitala, Romaine, Vaysh, Writcraft
113k - E
Summary: Witches and wizards are disappearing in a seemingly random fashion. Coincidence? Abductions? But no one is claiming ransom. The Aurors are not even sure the disappearances are connected, then one of the missing turns up dead. Meanwhile, Auror Harry Potter is thrown into the infamous Sirius Black Muggle murder case from 25 years ago. Given a chance to clear his godfather's name for good, Harry is not above accepting even the help of magical specialist Draco Malfoy.
Written On The Heart by Who-La-Hoop
113k - E
Summary: Harry doesn’t mind that so many Slytherins from his year have returned to finish their NEWTs, really he doesn’t. It’s just – do they have to be so friendly? He’s not prejudiced, really he’s not. It’s just – they’ve got to be up to something, right? Unnerved by the attention he’s attracting from everyone – the Slytherins are the least of it, to be fair – and struggling with a raft of changes to Hogwarts itself, Harry wishes he could be happy that one constant remains: Draco Malfoy really fucking hates him.
When he’s hit by an illegal love-spell though, Harry finds he has more to worry about than whether or not Blaise Zabini actually wants to be his friend. For if everyone affected has been blessed – or cursed, by the look on Malfoy’s face – with a magical tattoo revealing the name of their soulmate, what does it mean that Harry’s skin remains completely bare?
What We Pretend We Can't See by gyzym
131k - E
Summary: Seven years out from the war, Harry learns the hard truth of old history: it’s never quite as far behind you as you thought.
Any Instrument by dicta_contrion
131k - E
Summary: Draco Malfoy wouldn't go back to England for anything less than an exceptional case. Being asked to figure out why Harry Potter can't control his magic might be exceptional enough to qualify.
All Our Secrets Laid Bare by firethesound
149k - E
Summary: Over the six years Draco Malfoy has been an Auror, four of his partners have turned up dead. Harry Potter is assigned as his newest partner to investigate just what is going on.
Mental by sara_holmes
186k - M
Summary: Harry has had quite enough of sharing his mind with someone else, thankyouverymuch. A miscast Legilimecy spell says otherwise.
Turn by Saras_Girl
306k - E
Summary: One good turn always deserves another. Apparently.

Gaming Meme
Thank you @aki888 for the tag!
Not sure who hasn’t done this yet... so please feel free to tag yourself in if you’d like to play!
1. Favourite game from the last 5 years?
Hahahahaha... Star Wars the Old Republic.
2. Most nostalgic game?
It’s a tie between Final Fantasy 6 and Secret of Monkey Island
3. Game that deserves a sequel?
Oh... I don’t know. A lot of games I wound up really enjoying and getting into were part of a series.
4. Game that deserves a remaster?
Um, Final Fantasy 6 deserves a real 3D remastering in 3D like Final Fantasy 7 et all got. I mean, I know why it didn’t, but that story, those characters, and that world deserve the royal treatment in my opinion.
5. Favorite game series?
Monkey Island, Final Fantasy, Sims, and it looks like SWTOR/Bioware games go in there. (I refuse to choose!)
6. Favorite genre?
RPG, Action/Platformers, and adventure/puzzle type games. Mostly anything character based where you can get sucked into another world and really get attached to the cast.
7. Least favorite genre?
First person shooters
8. Favorite song from a game?
Terra/the title theme from Final Fantasy 6. It has so much emotion and just evokes adventure, mystery, and longing to me. It also has some amazing remixes.
9. Favorite character from a game?
This always change on when you ask me, but right now? I’m so stupidly in love with Theron Shan from SWTOR. Not even sorry, I love my Disaster Spy Princess.
10. Favorite ship from a game?
Theron Shan x Jedi Knight. Just... I have so many feelings about these two idiots. I love them so much.
11. Favorite voice actor from a game?
Troy Baker, Kari Wahlgren, Laura Bailey
12. Favorite cutscene?
y u maek me pick? Ohhh... okay, if I have to pick just one, I think right now my favorite is the last cutscene in Rishi, because it was the first time I had seen my favorite two idiots genuinely smile and be happy in the game. I have so many other moments I love, but right now that’s probably my favorite. (And I don’t even have pictures of it.
13. Favorite boss?
...I’m trying to think of non-SWTOR answers here, but that’s where my brain is at. I think for boss fights, one of the ones I find most fun is the Malgus fight in the False Emperor storyline. While it can be a little frustrating, I like the fact that it has this little hero moment built in for each member of the party. Just kind of a cool thing that really draws you in.
14. First console?
Atari somethingsomething. My brother hogged it so I didn’t get to play it much.
15. Current console or consoles?
PC, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP, and I have a Nintendo DS somewhere.
16. Console you want?
I’m kind of happy with my PC? But I’ll probably have PS4 envy at some point when they inevitably publish a game I can only play there.
17. Place from a game that you’d like to visit?
Tython and Odeseen. I love the forested mountaintops.
18. Place from a game that you’d like to live in?
Maybe Inaba from Persona 4. Other than the kidnapping and murder, it seems like a nice quiet town, if a little boring. And I’d live at that tofu shop.
19. Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun?
Final Fantasy and Disney. lololol like that would ever happen! Can you imagine Mickey Mouse and Cloud Strife meeting up to do battle with Sephiroth? RIDICULOUS AMIRITE?
20. Book that would make a good game?
The Kingskiller Chronicles seems like it would be fun!
21. Show/Movie that would make a good game?
A serious HIghlander game would actually be quite fun. Sword combat, immortality so you heal up between battles, lots of lightning and pyrotechnics. That crazy NeoGeo game based on the animated series almost no one remembers doesn’t count. Although I’m sure they had a NES game or something too.
22. Games you want to play?
The list is too long, and my Steam library is getting out of control. About half the time I wind up watching the cutscenes or a Let’s Play on YouTube and call it a day. Although I might pick up Quest for Glory or King’s Quest because I’ve had a lot of fun watching Paw Dugan play them and other adventure games.
23. Have you gotten 100% completion in a game?
Probably not. I get distracted easily.
24. Have you cried over a game?
Yes. *glares at every favorite for their heartwrenching scenes*
25. What power-up or ability would you want IRL?
Just let me teleport so I can be lazy and not have to sit in traffic every day, plz

Note
From 1 to 30, please :D
You’re a cheeky one, aren’t ya?
1: Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
Usually. I try to avoid them unless I’m absolutely stuck in a situation. Even when I do watch them, I will only watch to where I am in the game.
2: Company you're always loyal to?
Nintendo.
3: Best game you've ever played?
Battlefront II for the PlayStation 2. I have so many great memories with that game (e.g. 128-85).
4: Worst game you've ever played?
Squeeballs Party DS. The single most boring game I’ve ever played.
5: A popular series/game you just can't get into no matter how much you try?
Legend of Zelda. I have a surprising amount of Zelda merch, love the characters in Smash Bros and even tried playing Wind Waker HD, but it never caught on.
6: A game that's changed you the most?
Pokemon.
7: A game you'll never forget?
The Mario Kart series, namely Wii. It was one of the first games I got once I had the Wii U and I was the best player I knew by a large margin. In fact: my records from Nintendo WFC indicate a VR of 6299 and a win-loss ratio of 768:549.
8: Best soundtrack?
Smash Bros aside (too obvious), I’m going with Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island (ex. A: Fetid Forest; ex. B: Final Battle).
9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it?
Most games if I’m out in public. I’ll also turn down the volume whenever I’m breeding and/or randomly Wonder Trading.
10: A game you've completely given up on?
I’m afraid there have been a lot. Super Mario Sunshine, Disney Infinity, Yoshi’s New Island, and Shovel Knight all come to mind.
11: Hardest game you've played?
Pokemon Ultra Sun was really difficult (mainly because I tried to speed through and so didn’t get many Rotom boosts), but Tak and the Great Juju Challenge has an unforgiving difficulty curve right at the end.
12: Shortest time you've beaten a game in?
I think I beat Sun in one weekend.
13: A game you were the most excited for when it wasn't released yet?
Back when Pokemon X and Y were new, I had no idea what the series was and it looked interesting. I was also really excited for EA’s Battlefront revival, but then...
14: A game you think would be cool if it had voice acting?
Pokemon, I guess. I’m thinking something like Colosseum's or XD’s story mode and giving voice acting to the cutscenes.
15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover?
Legend of Zelda and the Lego games. If nothing else, I want to see a dungeon/castle with Lego-inspired puzzles in a Zelda game.
16: Character you've hated most? From what game?
I’ve bashed on Swellow enough, so I’m going to give it a break (don’t get used to it). Instead, I’m gonna bash PM!Crazy Hand. I went into the fight with five stocks and I lost them all so I couldn’t fight him again. Project M permanently crashed after this and I had to wipe the SD card. I never got my revenge and fighting SSB4!Crazy Hand just isn’t the same.
17: What game do you never tell people you play?
Tank Tank Tank. It’s a fun game to play with my cousins, but I’ve never introduced to anyone else (nor have I played the story mode).
18: A game you wish your friends knew about?
None come to mind.
19: Which game do you think deserves a revival?
The Tak and the Power of Juju series, easily. The games should not have to suffer because of a crappy TV show.
20: What was the first video game you ever played?
My first video game device was a Nicktoons Plug-n-Play by Jakks-Pacific. My first “real” video game was Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island.
21: How old were you when you first played a video game?
I think I was 6 or 7.
22: If you could immerse yourself in any game for one day, which game would it be? What would you do?
Try to intern at one of the villain teams in Pokemon. Team Skull is the first one that comes to mind, but several of them look interesting.
23: Biggest disappointment you've had in gaming?
The entirety of my playthrough of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Let’s just say that Phasma crashing my game multiple times during her boss fight was one of the more entertaining moments of my run.
24: Casual, Hardcore, or in the middle?
Definitely in the middle.
25: Be honest; have you ever used cheats (like ActionReplay or Gameshark)?
I have. I often use things like Powersaves to fine-tune things, but gone are the days where I would gen Pokemon left and right. I’m also open about using mods on my Smash Bros games (may try to get Project M again, but sadly my SSB4 mods are gone for the foreseeable future).
26: Handheld or console?
Handheld if I’m alone, console if I have a party.
27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry?
Not in a game, but in the Zoroark movie, the interactions between Zoroark and Zorua made me cry a bit (shut up, I was 14). Because of this, Zoroark was my favorite Pokemon for a period of time.
28: Which character's clothes do you wish you owned the most?
I’m gonna say Twilight Princess!Ganondorf’s wardrobe and whatever Silver uses to style his hair (minus the dye).
29: Which is more important, gameplay or story?
Really depends on the series. For example, gameplay’s all I care about in a Mario game but story’s very important to me in Pokemon.
30: A game that hasn't been localized in your country that you think should be localized?
Just for shits and giggles, Captain Rainbow.
