hey it's me black mold. thanks for running your window air conditioner all summer. whatever you do, do not regularly clean the removable filter. that's not necessary
you should also never ever unplug the air conditioner and stick a flashlight in the vent that blows air to see if we're in there. it's very bad, that place should not be checked
and whatever you do, if you've already made the mistake of unplugging it, don't remove it from the window for cleaning if possible. and whether it's possible to remove the unit or not, don't carefully disassemble the front panel, document where the screws go and plastic bits go, and open up the vent more to be able to get into it easily
as black mold, i'm an expert on this. you should heed my warnings: now, if you've somehow made the mistake of doing all of the above, you should not use warm water and dish soap to CLEAN the inside of the vent thoroughly. DON'T ever use a bottle brush to get into the hard to reach places. and certainly don't rinse and dry the cleaned area before carefully putting it back together
there's nothing wrong with us, black mold. we don't cause or exacerbate breathing conditions like asthma or other illnesses. it's cool, we're cool
furthermore, if you're capable of removing the window unit, DONT take a hose with the same soapy water and wash the portion of the window unit that sits outside the window and is therefore weatherproofed.
whatever you do, don't allow the air conditioner to dry before plugging it back in and turning it on again
and if you have a central air conditioner, you will definitely never ever consult a manual or sources online to perform a similar cleaning procedure on the cooling unit outside.
lastly, if you're physically unable to do the things we (the black mold) warned you not to do above, you should never ever ask someone to help you or hire a service to do it.

To be alive at all is to have scars
House of the Dragon: Rhaenyra + fem!reader (platonic)Â
Rating: TeenÂ
WC: 1.3 kÂ
Prompt: Cathartic Venting for @sweetspicybingo (Hurt/Comfort Bingo Collection)
Warnings: Heavy on the angst, mention of death, reader is a Strong, but no physical description is giving, hurt/comfort
Summary: You help your Queen process her emotions after Lucerys’s death
The afternoon's blistering heat had faded into the balmy night, with the moon shining bright behind the swirling mists of fog. You dipped the sponge into the warm water before lifting Rhaenyra’s arm and gently scrubbing her skin. Moments earlier, she reeked of dragon, the pungent scent of smoldering embers, and scorched meat undercut with a faint hint of sulfur. As she marinated in the piping hot water bubbling with jasmine oil, the putrid smell began to disappear slowly. You took care to clean under her nails, scrubbing away the dirt and grime until they sparkled like shimmering glass. While the water could wash away the muck, it did nothing to soothe her melancholy. Nothing could replace the children she had lost.
For over a sennight, she took to the skies, hoping to find remnants of Luke’s remains. Many worried in her absence, with Prince Daemon itching for vengeance. You did not fault him; it was his nature to take charge and make their enemies pay. You worried for your Queen as she journeyed with only her dragon for company. However, Syrax was a formidable companion.
Apart from Elinda, you were the closest handmaid to the Targaryen Queen. Your long-deceased father, Lyonel Strong, had requested you be placed in her service when you were both on the cusp of womanhood. You long held the secret of her trysts with your older brother, Harwin, for you understood Laenor had extended his blessing in the regard. While it was not an ideal situation, you were pleasantly surprised how the three made such an odd relationship work despite the consequences it bore. Rhaenyra loved those three boys with all of her heart. You supposed part of her heart was ripped away when she heard of Luke’s death.
“May I attend to your hair now, Your Grace?” you asked, raising to your feet.
“Please,” she murmured; her once amethyst eyes that sparkled with life were now dulled. Illustrious gems that had lost their luster, a stark contrast to the vibrant, lively woman she used to be. A broken princess turned into a broken queen. Mayhaps the Targaryens paid a heavy price to sit upon the Iron Throne.
You knelt behind her head, fingers carefully undoing her intricate braid and loosening the strands of matted hair. Then, lifting the ivory brush, you began to untangle her mane, taking care with each stroke of the bristles. Your fingers expertly worked the oil through her hair before lifting a jug filled to the brim with water. She tilted her head back, allowing you to rinse her hair clean. As you continued your work, a glimmer of her former self emerged. But you knew, deep down, that while she may look like herself again, the scars of her loss would never truly fade. Ripped edges that would always remain jagged.
You heard the whisperings of her discovering Arrax’s severed wing and clothing worn by the young Prince Lucerys on his cursed journey to Storm’s End. It was a genuinely wretched thing to have no body to burn. The Gods were cruel, you thought. Rhaenyra continued to simmer in the water until it turned as cold as the weather in the North. You took great care in helping her from the stone tub and drying off her damp skin before draping a crimson robe around her.
Her shoulders slumped as she stared at her reflection in the looking glass. Defeat hung heavy on her sullen face. Gaunt eyes begging for relief, a respite from the tragedy that marred her life. Your heart ached for her, so you gently rested your hand on her shoulder to provide her a modicum of comfort. An ounce of kindness would go a long way. Mayhaps, more should be extended to her and to Aegon; that is where peace might be found. Her hands snaked around yours, holding tightly as if afraid to slip away.
“Do you find me to be a terrible person?” she whispered, her voice cracking and quivering.
Your eyes widened. “Of course not, Your Grace!”
“Please, speak truthfully and address me as Rhaenyra,” she requested. Her eyes pleaded with yours. She needed a friend.
You let go of her before kneeling in front of her and drawing both her hands into your own. Your thumb stroked gently over the scar left by Alicent Hightower years ago. Undoubtedly, the scars on Rhaenyra’s heart outnumber the ones on her body. “I have never once thought such, Rhaenyra.”
Her lower lip quivered as her strong facade cracked and crumbled to dust. “I had only wished to fulfill my inheritance and serve the realm. I never wished for this. I should have never sent Luke alone.” Tears dribbled down her flushed cheeks. Plump, watery, opaque pearls splattered onto the stone beneath her chair.
“You could not know this would happen.”
She squeezed your hands as the tears poured freely down her face. “I do not want this burden if this is the cost.” Her voice was heavy and thick as she admitted her truth. A truth she dared not speak aloud, but it felt healing to let them fall from her lips. “I would trade my crown for the lives of my children.” A soft wail spilled from her the moment she admitted those sentiments.
Motherhood had petrified her; it had driven her mother into an early, bloody grave, and yet the moment she held Jacerys in her arms, you had watched her slowly embrace it. Jace healed a deep wound inside her, and no soul in the realm could doubt her love for all her children. She would throw herself in the cruel barbs and sharp words hurled in thoughts of their heritage, letting each one slice her deep to protect them from hearing such squander. However, she would not be able to protect them forever but would do everything in her power to continue.
Her hand slipped to her belly as thick, hot tears continued to pour down her ruddy cheeks. A son and a daughter torn from her womb, now left to the mercy of the Gods. Her gasps for air made your belly twist uncomfortably, but you said naught, simply allowed her to weep freely and without judgment. She was only human, after all. Even Targaryens, with their dragons and otherworldly appearances, were still flesh and blood. You lifted her hands, pressing soft kisses to her fingers, free from the rings she usually wore. Admitting such beliefs out loud took courage and strength, and you felt grateful that she trusted you with such feelings.
“I believe you will make a fine queen, Rhaenyra. The realm is long overdue for one. I hold hope that a peaceful resolve might be reached, as foolish as that may sound.”
A small smile turned across her lips. “I do not think you sound foolish.”
“Then I am not foolish, and you are not a terrible person. You were named King Viserys’s heir; fealty was sworn to you,” you reminded her. Her shoulders straightened as the tears began to dry on her face.
“Thank you for allowing me to unburden. You have been by my side for many years. There are times I look upon you, and I see Harwin, I see my boys. You are my family.”
Your heart fluttered.
“I feel the same, Rhaenyra. When the Stranger claimed my father and brother, I made a promise that I would do what I could to protect you and the boys. I would do the same for little Aegon and Viserys. We may not share a drop of blood, yet I feel as if we are bonded in such a way,” you whispered.
Her hand gently cupped your face, thumb stroking across your cheek. “Allow me to hug you, my dearest.”
You melted in her arms, holding her as tightly as she embraced you. Even the strongest of persons were not immune to the tragedies of life. But what does not break one simply makes one stronger. She would rise like a dragon from the embers, ready to burst into fire and claim her birthright. More scars would be wrought, and more tears would be shed. Yet she would be the finest queen Westeros had ever seen.

Billy Thunderman X Depressed Reader
Authors note: Hi everyone! This wasn’t requested but I wanted to write it because I’ve been feeling pretty down in the gutters lately. I am taking requests so feel free to ask. I hope everyone has a wonderful day/night/evening. I love you all. Take care of yourselves.
Warnings: mentions of depression and self harm.
- Billy loves you with all he has. If you’re in pain, he’s in pain.
- He doesn’t fully understand what you’re going through but he wants to.
- He knows what it’s like to feel lonely. He’s alone a lot because people thinks he’s stupid and weird so he doesn’t want you to feel lonely.
- He’ll cuddle you and hold you whenever you want.
- He’ll encourage you to come out of the house with him and do fun things but he won’t push you. If you just need to lay in bed he’ll be there. Giving you kisses and hugs and letting you vent and cry.
- Cry in his arms. He wants to be there for you. He’ll listen.
- If your room is messy he’ll clean it for you. It’ll take him two seconds.
- He’ll help you shower. Wash your body and hair for you. Massaging it thoroughly giving you little kisses here and there.
- He’s not going to let you skip meals. He’ll get you any thing you want from anywhere across the world. Just ask him. He’s more than helpful.
- He’ll encourage you to just take a walk outside with him. Around the block or just in the backyard.
- He’ll try to make you laugh because he loves seeing you smile.
~Billy carried you out of your bed and carried you to the bathroom. He gently helped you strip off your clothes and then helps you into the already filled warm bath water. He left you to get comfortable for a moment. He quickly cleaned your room and threw your bed sheets into the wash. He soon returned to you kneeling down to the bath. “How are you Jellybean?” You respond weakly and lethargic. He nods and begins gently shampooing your hair. If you want silence he’ll understand but he’ll make small talk with you. He’ll ask about how you’re feeling, if you’re hungry, or just about a show you two have been watching. Then he’ll lay you back to rinse your hair then move on to conditioner. Then wash your body giving you soft praises as he does, reminding you how much he loves you. When y’all are done he lifts you up in the towel and sits you in a chair as he quickly makes your bed comfortable for you again. Then he helps you dry off and he brushes your hair. He helps you dress, if you want to be in clothes. Then he asks what you want to eat if you tell him you don’t know or aren’t hungry then he’ll just get your favorite. Then you’ll lay in bed together watching whatever garbage is on tv or Disney+ or any other streaming services~
- If you’re self harming, his heart will break.
- He’ll probably cry asking you why.
- He just doesn’t understand why the person he loves so much would hurt themselves.
- Whether you tell him you’re self harming or if he finds out on his own will be two different reactions.
- If you tell him, he’ll thank you for it, and want to talk about it and figure things out with you.
- If he finds out on his own…his heart breaks. He doesn’t understand why you wouldn’t tell him. He could’ve been helping you.
- He will kiss your scrapes, bruises, burns, scratches, cuts, and/or scars.
- He’ll remind you that you’re beautiful with or without scars and that he’ll still love you even if you make more.
- He wants you to stop but he won’t blame you if you do.
- He wants you to get help but he won’t force you.
- Sometimes he just feels as a lost. He doesn’t know how to help you and it hurts him.
- But he loves you no matter what and will do whatever it takes to make you feel better.

RV Maintenance Tips for Traveling Through Crawfordville, Georgia
Traveling through Georgia, especially near areas like Crawfordville, offers picturesque views, tranquil surroundings, and the ultimate escape into nature. As you journey, it’s crucial to ensure your RV is in tip-top shape. Whether you’re staying at Sunrise River RV Park or passing through RV parks near Augusta, GA, maintaining your RV is vital to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip. Below are some essential RV maintenance tips to keep in mind as you explore this beautiful region.
1. Regular Tire Inspections
One of the most critical aspects of RV maintenance is tire care. Before heading to any RV park near Augusta, GA, check your tires for proper inflation, wear, and tear. The varied terrain in Georgia, from highways to forest trails, can strain your tires. Ensure they are inflated to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. Also, inspect the treads for any signs of excessive wear, and replace tires if necessary. A blowout on the road can be dangerous and inconvenient, so this simple check can save you a lot of trouble.
2. Check and Maintain Brakes
Given the hilly landscapes around Crawfordville, ensuring your brakes are in excellent condition is essential. Regularly check the brake pads, rotors, and fluid levels. If you notice any squeaking, grinding, or decreased braking efficiency, get them serviced immediately. The peace of mind knowing your brakes are functioning correctly will make your travel through Georgia’s scenic routes much safer.
3. Inspect Roof Seals and Vents
Georgia’s climate can be unpredictable, with sudden rain showers even in sunny conditions. To avoid leaks and water damage, inspect the seals around your RV's roof, windows, and vents. Look for any cracks or deteriorated seals, and reapply sealant if necessary. This small step can prevent costly repairs later, especially if you're planning to stay at Sunrise River RV Park, where the natural surroundings are best enjoyed dry and leak-free!
4. Keep the Electrical System in Check
Your RV’s electrical system is its lifeline, powering everything from the refrigerator to the air conditioning. Before you park at any RV park near Augusta, GA, inspect your batteries, wires, and connections. Make sure your batteries are fully charged and in good condition. Test your generator to ensure it’s functioning properly, especially if you plan to camp in more remote areas like Crawfordville. Keeping a multimeter handy can help you diagnose any electrical issues that may arise on the road.
5. Monitor Your Water System
Georgia’s humidity and temperatures can lead to unique challenges for your RV’s water system. Regularly check your freshwater, gray, and black water tanks for leaks or signs of wear. Ensure that the hoses are in good condition and securely connected. If you plan on staying at Sunrise River RV Park, you’ll appreciate having a fully functional water system for showers and kitchen use. Additionally, consider investing in a water pressure regulator to prevent high-pressure water at certain campsites from damaging your RV’s plumbing.
6. Keep Your HVAC System Clean
The summer heat in Georgia can be intense, making your RV’s HVAC system essential for comfort. Clean the filters regularly and ensure that the air conditioning unit is functioning properly. If you're visiting Crawfordville during the warmer months, you’ll want to stay cool and comfortable after a day of exploring. Routine maintenance of your HVAC system will keep you and your family comfortable throughout your journey.
7. Stock Up on Essential Supplies
Crawfordville offers natural beauty and serenity, but it’s also essential to be prepared for any situation. Ensure you have a well-stocked toolkit that includes wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and any other tools specific to your RV model. Carry spare fuses, bulbs, and essential fluids like oil, coolant, and windshield washer fluid. Being prepared will ensure that minor issues don’t escalate into significant problems, allowing you to enjoy your stay at any RV park near Augusta, GA, or beyond.
8. Plan for Waste Disposal
Responsible waste management is vital for the environment and the longevity of your RV’s sanitation system. Before arriving at Sunrise River RV Park, familiarize yourself with the park's waste disposal facilities. Ensure that your black and gray water tanks are emptied and clean. Carry appropriate chemicals to treat your tanks, reducing odors and buildup. Keeping your waste management system in top shape ensures a pleasant experience for you and your fellow campers.
9. Check Your Propane System
Propane is essential for cooking, heating, and refrigeration in many RVs. Before embarking on your journey through Georgia, inspect your propane tanks and lines for leaks. Make sure your tanks are securely mounted and that your regulator is functioning correctly. It’s also wise to keep a carbon monoxide detector in your RV for safety. Regularly inspecting your propane system will allow you to enjoy meals and hot showers without worry during your stay.
10. Protect Against Pests
Crawfordville, with its lush landscapes and natural beauty, can also be a haven for insects and small animals. To protect your RV from unwanted guests, seal any gaps or cracks where pests might enter. Regularly clean your RV’s interior, removing food crumbs and trash that could attract pests. If you’re staying at Sunrise River RV Park, you’ll want to focus on the natural beauty of the area, not on dealing with ants or mice inside your RV!
11. Keep Your RV Clean
Traveling through Georgia can expose your RV to dust, dirt, and debris. Regularly wash your RV to maintain its appearance and protect its exterior from damage. Pay special attention to the undercarriage, especially after traveling on dirt roads or through muddy areas. Cleaning your RV not only keeps it looking good but also helps prevent rust and corrosion, ensuring it stays in excellent condition for years to come.
12. Stay Informed About Local Road Conditions
As you travel through Georgia, staying informed about local road conditions can help you avoid unexpected delays or hazards. Check weather forecasts and road reports, especially during the rainy season, when roads can become slick or flooded. Knowing the conditions ahead of time allows you to plan your route and adjust your driving to ensure a safe journey to Sunrise River RV Park or any other destination in the area.
Conclusion
Maintaining your RV is essential to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable journey through Crawfordville and the surrounding areas of Georgia. Whether you’re heading to Sunrise River RV Park or exploring RV parks near Augusta, GA, following these maintenance tips will keep your RV in top condition, allowing you to focus on the adventure ahead.
From regular tire checks to ensuring your water and electrical systems are functioning properly, taking the time to maintain your RV will enhance your travel experience. By being proactive with your maintenance routine, you can enjoy the natural beauty and serene landscapes of Crawfordville, Georgia, without worry. Safe travels!

In Hot Pursuit (Part 2)
(more Catradora She-Ra slashfic, see part one here: https://www.tumblr.com/writefinch/728642200176574464/in-hot-pursuit-part-1 )
She was at a disadvantage, admittedly.
Catra was the better scout. She was impatient, sure, but she could run without leaving tracks, she could see half a klick in near-total darkness, and she could crawl through brush without shaking the leaves. Add in curiosity, a good memory, and a predator's instinct for vulnerability, and it was one of the places where she'd always outshone her.
But Catra reeked.
It was never all that obvious in the Fright Zone because everything in that place stunk. Acrid battery fumes, leaking ozone vents on over-used and under-serviced beam weapons, greywater processing, barracks rooms that never went under 105% capacity, dry-clean-only armor, Rogelio's bedwetting, the mushroom farms! Hygiene was an operational concept in the Horde, it was a duty carried out to prevent damage to soldiers and equipment. Nobody smelled too fresh and nobody paid it much mind.
But once you left the Fright Zone, it was obvious. Maybe not as obvious as it was to people who'd never lived there - a few weeks after she'd left the Fright Zone, Glimmer had a blunt conversation with her about bathing, laundry, and the importance of washing her clothes instead of just ironing them every day - but even after a couple of hours in the field on exercise or on patrol, smelling soil, grass, sweet rotting leaves, dry desert sands or ocean saltwater, all of the familiar stenches of home stuck out like stink bombs.
Catra smelled stronger than most. It helped that she'd grown up sleeping curled up at the bottom of Adora's bunk, imprinting her smell so thoroughly that 'absence of Catra' became a smell all of its own, but even without that she smelled different to the others, more than the others. It was deep enough that it almost stung the nose a little, damp clothes with almost-expired ration blocks hidden underneath, powdery in a way that normal sweat wasn't.
The rain made it hard, masking scent, washing it away, melting tracks into sludge. Hard didn't mean impossible. The pine forest was thick enough to keep the rain off, rocky soil twisted with roots. You had to know Catra well enough to think like her, well enough to think how she moves. She didn't march, she didn't trudge, she stepped from rock to root to rock between trees and under branches, never letting her foot leave a print wherever she could help it, always light, never leaning or throwing her weight against any branch or tree trunk that might shake it lest someone on the next hill over with a pair of binoculars wonder why the trees keep moving. If you didn't know Catra she'd be a nightmare to track, but if you knew…
Adora crouched low to the ground. She'd miss the smells standing up, they'd sink right underneath her, but if you got low enough and moved like that and looked out for them you'd find them. Branch to rock to root to branch. At first it wasn't Catra, it was just… it was a smell that wasn't forest, just a hint to keep her moving, looking for something--
Indent. Root in the mud, shifted forward half an inch, enough to leave a hairline gap between the bark and the soil. Someone stepped on it and it wasn't as stable as it looked but there's no big imprints so they didn't stumble, they stabilized. Where's the next rock you could skip to without skidding and slipping? Forward and to the left, easy if you pivot on the tree trunk, thick and heavy enough not to shake it if you're nimble enough but if you're not going to body-slam it you need some leverage which means--
Claw marks. Three poke-marks, no scratch, no torn bark. Pinky, ring and middle finger, claws partially retracted. From this angle she dipped her body, had to get under a branch at hip-height without breaking it, Adora wouldn't be able to do it - you'd need a tail to counterbalance. Tail going up after a stumble means she's looking for balance, which means she's feeling with it, and when she feels with it she--
She pressed her nose to the dew-wet tree branch and inhaled. Her. She'd rubbed half the length of her tail over this spot and the stink still clung to the wood. She'd gone this way, maybe half a day ago. If she was here, that ruled out three of five possible transmission sites, and with the scent in her nose she could risk gunning it to one instead of looping through both. Catra wouldn't know what hit her.
The rain stopped. Beams of sunlight scattered through the trees, warm on her skin. With no breeze, smells would linger in the humid air, and the damp soil would hold even the lightest of footsteps.
Adora smiled, still crouching low but moving faster now, little hints of the smell flickering at the edges of her nose as she followed the trail.
She ate her meals cold, and quickly. That was one of the perks of joining the Princess Alliance, the field rations tasted way better. When they were cadets, she couldn't lead a training patrol without the others whining at her that they didn't have enough time to fry the brown blocks or make soup from grey blocks, and eating them cold was gross. Now, she had crackers, sardine paste, mixed nuts, jerky, instant tea powder, and fruit in a tube.
'Here, kitty-kitty…'
***
She did stop to eat, though. She remembered so many training exercises where she was tracking the other cadets with Adora - she'd basically taught Adora everything she knew about tracking - and the trail would go cold, and then oh, there's a grey block crumb 'cause Rogelio got hungry and started stuffing his face, and you see a few more crumbs until the footprints get heavy and stop because Kyle said he's hungry too and Lonnie said fine just use the flameless ration heater 'cause if we stop Catra will catch up with us, and then you see spilled water and uncooked soup where he crumbled brown block into a plastic pouch and poured his canteen into it, and he spilled even more pouring out a cup for Lonnie, then there's a fine dusting of white powder where Lonnie ripped open a sachet of energy powder and ate it straight out the packet, and the tearaway part of the flameless ration heater that Kyle shoved into an unzipped pouch on his pack two-hundred meters ago and fell out right here, and it would all add up to a kilometer-long trail of moment-by-moment eating activity so vivid it might as well have been caught on camera.
So, here, she stopped. A quiet, sheltered area between a rock and some shrubs. She'd be downwind of anyone approaching, and it would be quiet enough to hear them. Three cracker sandwiches, two sardine paste, one tube-fruit. One handful of nuts, one strip of jerky, no tea, a swig - a really big swig - of her water canteen to wash it down. Utensils and rations go into a sealed bag in a sealed pouch on the backpack, check the ground for crumbs and trash. If she had to relieve herself, it goes into a sealed bag and gets buried under a foot of dirt. Don't just sprint off afterwards! Stop, see, listen, and smell. Is there movement? Have the insects suddenly stopped chittering? Can you smell anything that isn't the forest? Move carefully, double back a little, resume your route, that's how the real trackers do it.
A bead of sweat dripped from her nose.
This was unbearable.
It came in waves. First, the flushed skin and sweat, when she wasn't even breathing hard. Then, the… emotions, the urge to pounce and bite, a yearning to stop and curl up and stretch out, to snap and yowl and make everyone around her either do what she says or get out of her way. The heartbeat, the shivers, goosebumps, tension, and then purring. Every stray thought floods with feeling, she pictured Shadow Weaver for a fraction of a second and only realized it when she snapped her teeth and felt tears welling in her eyes and her claws were all the way out, and then…
Then there was the itch.
Then she'd take a big gulp of nice lukewarm water from her canteen and slap herself across the cheek and push it all down and she was fine! Take a deep breath, check the co-ordinates and just keep on walking. For a while.
Then, the flushed skin and sweat, all over again.
Adora had wanted to bring trainees along for this exercise. She'd quashed that idea real quick. Either Adora would be out of practice and she'd run circles around her and embarrass her in front of the cadets - that would be real funny, but she didn't want the cadets thinking they were better than Adora or anything - or Adora had designed the whole exercise wrong and she'd catch up unfairly quickly and nobody would learn anything. It would be better to run it with just the two of them, like old times. She was lucky Adora had backed down, or she'd have turned her trainees into scratching posts by now.
A few hours later, deep into the night and deeper into the forest, her transponder buzzed and flashed red. That was the signal for the daily rest period - no moving from their position for five hours, so they wouldn't half-kill themselves not sleeping trying to get an edge on the other one. Fine. She could feel the day's strain in her tendons, in her feet, in her hips, she could use the rest.
She found a dry spot under a tree and ate again, one sardine cracker sandwich, a handful of peanuts, and a cold instant tea. Her cheeks were flushed again. The wrong muscles were tense and knotted, it should have been her feet and her ankles and hips but it was her shoulders and neck and chest. Fine. Fine, she'd sleep it off. Her bedroll was a tarpaulin with a thin fleece blanket wrapped inside. She pulled her pillow out from the bottom of her backpack, curled up in the blanket and--
Oh no.
She was so stupid.
She'd grabbed the pillow in the morning before they'd set off. It was the only pillow in the castle thin and lumpy enough for either of them to sleep on without a killer neck-ache, and she'd made sure to snatch it off their bed before Adora thought to grab it.
Their pillow.
The pillow touched her cheek and she caught the smell of Adora's soap and felt the grease from Adora's hair and for a second she could feel Adora's leg hooked over hers and the thick blonde hairs on her forearm and her breath on the back of her neck and--
Catra yowled.
She clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle it. The itch had come back and now it burned her and set her writhing and shuddering as her mind roiled and her stomach churned and her groin… everything from her hips to her knees was a slick, sopping mess.
She grabbed the pillow hard enough to put a claw through it and rammed it into the pack, peeled her pants off to air them out, guzzled down half her canteen and poured the other half over her head. With effort, she pushed the image of Adora's parted lips from her mind.
'You're not gonna ruin this for me,' she muttered, laying her head against the pack, her ears flickering as water trickled down her face and neck.

UHHH 1-10: evens for Stavis odds for Luvina / 30-40 evens for pheck and odds for lawwe and century *maniacal laugh*
This is gonna be so long, here we go...
2. Who does most of the cooking?
Neither of them truly 'cook' because they can afford to always eat out, order room service, or in Mavis' case, have a personal chef.
4. Who says creepy paper and who says crepe paper?
I cant say I see either of them saying creepy paper unless maybe Mavis is drunk and slurring her words lmao
6. Who's the sun and who's the moon?
Mavis is a leo, so she is definitely the sun. And Stefan's penthouse is Cave Chic™ so he is definitely the moon 🖤
8. What are their cooking habits? Who cooks meals and who "cooks" insta-ramen?
See the first question. They've made a couple of things like popcorn and an attempt at waffles without catching anything on fire but that's about where their cooking adventures end lmao.
10. What are their love languages?
Stefan's is physical touch, acts of service (he's a virgo I dont make the rules), and a sprinkle of words of affirmation. Mavis' is words of affirmation and physical touch
1. Who sleeps on the left and right side of the bed?
I’ve always pictured Luca on the left side but it really just depends on where the bed is relative to the door, because he’ll sleep closest to that!Â
3. Who's the little and big spoon?
Luca loves being big spoon but he also doesnt mind if Davi wants to be big spoon because it means he just gets to be near her #simp
5. Who screams and who kills the spider?
You know what, Davi kills the spider. With a palm strike. Luca wouldnt scream unless he tried to kill it and missed.
7. How do they share chores?
I think as of right now, Luca would do most of the household things like trash, dishes, etc and let Davi handle things like finances, making the grocery lists, and laundry/dry-cleaning as to not ruin her fancy clothes.
9. How do they handle arguments? What do they argue about?
Haha they used to love to argue before they gave in to their sexual tension sdnfsdfsd. Nowadays I feel like they try to communicate in a healthy way and apologize if their emotions get the better of them. I dont see them arguing about much besides maybe how much money Davi spends on designer stuff simply because Luca can’t comprehend being wealthy lmao. Or her dad being the antichrist.
30. What are their nicknames for each other?
They call each other by their last names. Lucchesi (Beck) and Macmillan (Phoebe). Or sometimes, P and B.Â
32. How are they intimate with each other in a nonsexual way?
Ah. They’re masters at grazing hands and the longing gaze. They vent to each other about their families and pass no judgement. Beck lets her take photos of him, even though he hates his picture taken, because he knows she enjoys it. Quiet embraces. Train rides.
34. What couple from another media reminds you of them?
Beck reminds me so hard of Tommy from Peaky Blinders, but I’m not sure Tommy and Grace’s relationship fit Pheck. There’s this couple on Tiktok that reminds me of them much more tho! Example here (just being goofy and weird with each other and looking good while doing it heheh )
36. Who wakes up and falls asleep first?
Well Phoebe sleepwalks so it’s hard to give an accurate answer lmao. I’d say that Beck is the one who wakes up first though, it’s engrained in him to always be up early, further proving his grandpa-ness. Phoebe would fall asleep first with the help of her Ambien I’d think.Â
38. What do they love most about each other?
Phoebe loves that despite all Beck has dealt with/been through, that his big heart remains underneath the hardened and composed exterior. Beck loves Phoebe’s sense of artistic wonder and how she is unapologetically herself.Â
40. Do they have any jealous tendencies over each other?
They were broken up when they were teenagers and ran in the same circle for several years, remaining friends. But they had to watch each other move on with different people and that definitely sparked jealousy for the both of them. Maybe more so for Beck I think, because his family was the reason they had to break up in the first place.
Lawwe and Century? Idk who those people are sowwy...
#oc stuff: mavis#oc stuff: luca#oc stuff: beck#i'll do the other chars on a sep post cause this is so long my god#ship: stavis#ship: pheck#ship: luvina

The Importance of Residential Dryer Vent Cleaning
Residential dryer vent cleaning is a critical yet often overlooked aspect of home maintenance. Over time, lint, dust, and debris accumulate in dryer vents, reducing airflow and making the dryer work harder to function efficiently. This buildup not only increases energy consumption but also poses a significant fire hazard. According to the U.S. Fire Administration, clogged dryer vents are one of the leading causes of house fires, emphasizing the need for regular cleaning to ensure safety. See https://dryerventcleaningtoday.ca/
In addition to preventing fires, regular dryer vent cleaning offers practical benefits for homeowners. A clean vent system enhances the efficiency of the dryer, reducing drying times and lowering utility bills. It also minimizes wear and tear on the appliance, prolonging its lifespan. Clean vents help prevent the growth of mold and mildew, which can thrive in the warm, damp conditions of a clogged vent, ensuring a healthier living environment for your household.
Professional dryer vent cleaning services are highly recommended for a thorough and safe job. These services use specialized tools and techniques to remove even the most stubborn lint buildup. Experts can also identify and address potential issues such as damaged ducts or improper vent installation. By scheduling routine cleaning and inspections, homeowners can protect their property, save money, and maintain the performance of their dryers for years to come.

Introduction
Your heater is a critical component of the HVAC system. It regulates room temperature and the quality of air we breathe at home. However, your heater is highly vulnerable to pollutants such as dust, pollen, allergens, and mildew, all of which can cause respiratory difficulties.
With proper heater maintenance, you can protect indoor air quality and also keep your home safe from bacteria and other pollutants. This article examines the connection between regular heating service and indoor air quality.
Let’s begin.
Understanding Indoor Air Quality
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to air quality within and around your home, especially regarding the health and comfort of guests and families. Understanding indoor air quality is critical to maintaining a healthy and comfortable living or working environment. Indoor air quality can be influenced by factors such as a lack of ventilation, fluctuations in temperature and humidity, and contaminants.
How Heating Systems Impact Indoor Air Quality
Your heating system contributes significantly to indoor air quality. It accomplishes this by drawing in air from outside, filtering and processing it, and distributing it throughout your house. The regular circulation and flow of air prevent the accumulation of pollutants and dangerous substances in your home. To be effective in its role, your heater must be well-maintained and operated under appropriate conditions.
Some ways that your heating system can affect indoor air quality include:
Particulate matter (PM) emission:Â Furnaces, boilers, and space heaters can release PM into the air, exacerbating respiratory issues like asthma.
Carbon monoxide (CO) production:Â Improperly maintained or vented heating systems can emit CO, a colorless, odorless gas that can be fatal in high doses.
Moisture generation:Â Heating systems can produce excessive moisture, resulting in mold growth and humidity difficulties.
Air circulation:Â Heating systems can move air around, potentially spreading pollutants and allergens.
Filter bypass:Â If filters are not correctly installed or maintained, they might allow pollutants into your living environment.
The Role of Heater Maintenance in IAQ
Proper heating setup ensures your system operates efficiently and effectively, leading to a healthier living environment. Here is how adequate heating maintenance services can affect indoor air quality:
1. Effective Air Filtration
Heating system maintenance guarantees that your system has high-quality air filters. These filters trap dust, allergies, and other airborne particles, keeping them from spreading throughout your home. Cleaner air decreases respiratory problems and enhances overall air quality.
2. Optimal Humidity Control
A well-built heating system helps to keep humidity levels consistent. This equilibrium prevents excessive dryness or dampness, which can result in mold growth or dry skin. Maintaining optimum humidity levels improves home comfort and promotes a healthier indoor environment.
3. Reduced Air Leakage
Professional heating services include repairing air leaks around ducts and vents. This keeps contaminants out of your home and conserves conditioned air. Reducing air leakage increases both efficiency and indoor air quality.
4. Improved Ventilation
Optimal heating maintenance promotes air circulation, minimizes stale air, and brings fresh air into your home. This improves indoor air quality by minimizing the buildup of contaminants.
5. System Efficiency
A well-maintained heater will run more effectively, decreasing overheating and associated pollution issues. Lower energy use translates to fewer emissions, resulting in a healthier home and a better environment.
Common Heater Issues That Affect Indoor Air Quality
The following are some heater issues that can affect the quality of air you breathe at home:
1. Leaky Ducts
Duct leaks lead to system inefficiency and allow pollutants and other harmful substances to enter your home.
2. High Humidity
Clogged filters and coils cause high humidity in your home. High humidity makes your home feel stuffy and hotter than it is. It also promotes the growth of viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold, and other pollutants. Too little moisture, however, can cause respiratory problems, dry skin, and itchy skin.
3. Poor Ventilation
Dirty fans and clogged filters can affect the flow of air. When indoor air becomes stagnant, your home feels stuffy, and contaminants that have worked their way into your space will not escape.
Neglected Furnace Repair and Maintenance
Poor furnace maintenance is more than just an inconvenience; it can destroy the air quality in your home, resulting in poor health and aggravated allergies. A faulty furnace will have problems filtering dust, screening allergens and pollens, and keeping molds away from your home. Additionally, as your furnace heat exchangers expand and crack over time, they can release carbon monoxide into your home, posing a significant risk to your family’s health and long-term safety.
Benefits of Regular Heater Maintenance for Indoor Air Quality
Regular heating maintenance can significantly improve indoor air quality in several ways, including:
Reduced particulate matter (PM) emissions
Minimized carbon monoxide (CO) production
Lower volatile organic compound (VOC) release
Improved moisture control, reducing mold growth
Enhanced air circulation and filtration
Decreased combustion byproducts
Cleaner ductwork and reduced contaminant spread
Creating a Maintenance Plan
Here is a detailed heating system servicing plan for your home:
Monthly:
Check air filters (replace if needed)
Inspect and clean heating vents/registers
Verify thermostat settings
Quarterly:
Inspect and clean burners
Check igniter and ignition system
Verify proper combustion
Bi-Annually:
Inspect the heat exchanger and venting system
Clean the condenser coils
Check the refrigerant levels
Annually:
Schedule professional maintenance
Inspect and clean ductwork
Check electrical connections
Lubricate moving parts
Inspect and replace worn parts
Additional Tips
Heater maintenance is crucial to home comfort, meaning any mistake can seriously compromise family health and comfort. This is why you must consult a professional heater contractor for regular maintenance schedules—Klondike Air heating specialists over personalized heater tune-ups and maintenance across all seasons.
Conclusion
Heater maintenance is essential in maintaining home comfort and enhancing indoor air quality. While your heater helps regulate home temperature, it also filters pollutants, keeping your home safe from the buildup of pollen, allergens, dust, mold infestation, and more. A poorly maintained heater breeds bacteria and mold and leads to carbon monoxide contamination, causing severe health issues. You can safeguard the air quality in your home and ensure your family’s health by contacting Klondike Air heating experts for regular heater tune-ups and inspections.

The Importance of Roof Inspections During San Antonio’s Rainy Season
San Antonio’s weather, characterized by sporadic heavy rainfall and humid conditions, puts local roofs to the test every rainy season. Without proper care, small roofing issues can quickly escalate into costly problems. That’s why scheduling a professional roof inspection is essential for San Antonio homeowners. At Bondoc Roofing, we understand the unique challenges roofs face in this region and are here to ensure your home stays safe, dry, and protected year-round.
Why Roof Inspections Matter During Rainy Seasons
San Antonio’s rainy season, typically from May to October, brings increased risks of roof damage. Heavy rain, combined with the occasional hailstorm or strong winds, can exploit any vulnerabilities in your roof. Common problems such as missing shingles, clogged gutters, or small cracks can lead to leaks, water damage, and even mold growth if left unchecked.
A thorough roof inspection before or during the rainy season allows homeowners to identify and address these problems proactively. Professional inspections go beyond surface-level assessments to uncover hidden issues that may not be visible to the untrained eye.
Top Risks for Roofs During San Antonio’s Rainy Season
Leaks and Water Intrusion Heavy rainfall can quickly seep through damaged shingles, flashing, or poorly sealed areas. These leaks not only damage your roof but can also affect ceilings, walls, and insulation inside your home.
Gutter Blockages Rain brings debris like leaves, branches, and dirt into your gutters. If left unattended, clogged gutters can overflow, leading to water pooling on your roof and increasing the risk of damage.
Weakened Roof Structures Prolonged exposure to rain can weaken roofing materials over time. Wooden components may rot, and metal parts may corrode, reducing the overall stability of your roof.
Mold and Mildew Growth Moisture trapped in undetected leaks creates the perfect environment for mold and mildew. This not only damages your home but can also pose health risks to your family.
Why Choose Bondoc Roofing for Your Inspection?
Bondoc Roofing is proud to serve the San Antonio community with top-tier roofing services. Our experienced team specializes in identifying issues unique to the area’s climate. When you choose us for a roof inspection, you’ll benefit from:
Comprehensive Assessments: We check every aspect of your roof, from shingles to flashing, vents, and gutters, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
Local Expertise: As a San Antonio-based company, we know the weather patterns and how they impact roofs in the area.
Transparent Reporting: Our team provides clear, detailed reports of our findings, along with recommendations for any necessary repairs.
Timely Solutions: If repairs are needed, we offer quick and efficient services to get your roof back in optimal condition before the next downpour.
How to Prepare for the Rainy Season
Schedule a Roof Inspection Early Don’t wait for the first storm to reveal a problem. By scheduling your inspection in advance, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your roof is ready to handle the rain.
Clean Your Gutters Ensure your gutters and downspouts are free of debris so water can flow away from your home efficiently.
Trim Overhanging Branches Prevent branches from breaking and damaging your roof during a storm.
Address Repairs Immediately Small issues like a missing shingle or cracked flashing can worsen under heavy rainfall. Fix these problems promptly to avoid bigger headaches later.

Why Dryer Vent Cleaning Should Be on Your Home Maintenance Checklist
Did you know that one of the most overlooked home maintenance tasks is dryer vent cleaning? Many homeowners focus on routine appliance care, like changing filters or maintaining HVAC systems, but neglect their dryer vents. However, failing to clean your dryer vent regularly can lead to serious issues, including reduced appliance efficiency, increased energy bills, and even fire hazards.
In Western New York, where colder months mean longer drying times, your dryer vent is especially prone to collecting lint and debris. Over time, this buildup restricts airflow, causing your dryer to work harder and longer to dry clothes. This not only strains the appliance but also increases the risk of overheating, which could potentially cause a fire. In fact, clogged dryer vents are one of the leading causes of home fires.
Regular dryer vent cleaning is a simple and affordable way to prevent these issues. A professional cleaning can improve airflow, decrease drying times, and lower your energy consumption. It’s also a key step in keeping your home safe and extending the life of your dryer.
At Mid City Home Repairs, we offer thorough dryer vent cleaning services to homeowners across Western New York. Our experienced handymen use specialized tools to clear out lint, dust, and debris, ensuring your dryer runs efficiently and safely.
If it’s been more than a year since your last dryer vent cleaning, or if you’ve noticed longer drying times, give us a call today! Visit Mid City Home Repairs to learn more about our dryer vent cleaning services and schedule an appointment today or Visit our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/midcityhandymanofficial
