The first single from my in-progress EP "Ideas and Innovations", a throwback inspired by the chilled out sounds of Library Music circa 1988 to 1992. That means big chords, grooving bass, snappy drums and cheesy digi-synths!

Want to burn EPROMs for your DX/DMX or Drumtraks or LinnDrum etc? I've got you covered! Use the same technique to burn an OS for old synths and drum machines if you need to. I also show how you can edit the sample data with a hex editor to convert sounds from one chip format to another or combine any two sounds onto the one chip.

I am working on some very smooth late 80s groove right now. This is the first draft with the basic drums (SCI Drumtraks), Chords (Casio VZ-1), Bass (Casio CZ-1) and Flute (Roland D-50).

Unmixed so it still sounds very rough. Quantized the start of the chords and bass notes, but left the flute completely with no quantization and not recorded to a click track (I only had the bass to go on), and man is it better for it.

Fact Of The Day: On Havve's drum setup: "Havve plays a Tama Starclassic 5 piece kit. Any the live drums on the album are those, but most of the drums on TTT are old 80s drum machine samples that he programmed in there himself. Lots of Linndrum, 707, Drumtraks and AKAI stuff."
