1. your Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor's opinion on Orlais?

vidreu aeducan: for a long time, dru understood orlais almost exclusively in terms of trade, with the chantry lyrium trade being orzammar's economic lifeblood. that made sense to her. orlesian politics do not. while conceptually familiar with the game from her noble upbringing, when she gets her first taste of it in-person after the end of the fifth blight, it is Wayyyy too much for her. orzammar's politics are also cutthroat and status-based, but there's at least (purportedly) this shared understanding and cultural investment in values that dru respects like family honor. the game is absurd to her. the fashion sensibilities are even worse. the overwrought extravagance of the nobility is appalling. the social scripts are opaque and convoluted,. the social pressure is overwhelming.

dru makes like one debut as the famed hero of ferelden then gets shitfaced with loghain to recover and never shows their face in orlesian high society again.

cyrus hawke: he wants to see the empire fall, but until then, at least the aesthetics are fun

yiseeril trevelyan: adores it. everything is ridiculous, and nothing matters at all and everything matters immensely. she wonders often what her life could've been like if she had stayed in ghislain

8. who do they hate the most, and do they have an arch-nemesis

vidreu aeducan: dru's baseline attitude toward everyone is indifference, and that + unhealthy dose of pragmatism makes it hard to hate even people she really should despise like uh. bhelen. or loghain. but they do want to kill flemeth. and i think they could've done it if they had been in the fade for her toying with kieran shit. powers of a goddess be damned.

cyrus hawke: he can't pick just one person. he hates meredith, cullen, aveline, loghain, sister petrice, grand cleric elthina, cassandra, celene, gaspard.................. no arch-nemesis, just a lot of terrible people with power

yiseeril trevelyan: yiseeril is kind of a fake hater asjdpofjf she can be quite casually mean but that's just because it's fun and even the people she should be angry at (the templar who made her tranquil, the first enchanter who lied about her not being harrowed, everyone who took advantage of her while she was tranquil, hell even the maker for permitting her to suffer like this) she. isn't. because she doesn't want to look her hurt directly in the eye and acknowledge it, she just wants to move past it (though she isn't above a little bloody vengeance against that templar when sera tracks him down to try to make her feel better)

10. are they good horse riders?

vidreu aeducan: they would be an excellent griffon rider, but they can't get most animals to trust them.

cyrus hawke: my heart says yes, because it fits into the knight aesthetic so perfectly, but he would get too stressed out about protecting it in battle... if it's just for transportation/to be DramaticTM, it's fine, but in combat, he prefers to be on his own two feet

yiseeril trevelyan: her family had her in a saddle before her magic manifested, and she finagled her way into a pastoral outing or two while in Ghislain. the skills came back to her quickly in inquisition.

12. attitude toward Mabari?

vidreu aeducan: alistair is convinced for most of the game that dru likes gorim (yes that is what they named the ostagar mabari) more than anyone else in the party, and he's RIGHT. that's their emotional support tether to the past they've been severed from and whom they can show weakness around without fear of reproach, thank you very much!

i also just. like the idea of her mabari also being... a lil more blight haunted than what we get in-game. he did swallow darkspawn blood, after all. sometimes zevran swears he hears them chittering to one another at the edges of camp in the wee hours of the morning.

cyrus hawke: cyrus has a mild phobia of dogs, after a guard sicced one on him as a teen. not a fan.

yiseeril trevelyan: she thinks they're boring adfojpafwe like they're Fine but a real pet should be horse-adjacent and hilarious. like a dracolisk or nuggalope.

14. who are they closest to from their family?

vidreu aeducan: the aeducans were not a close family by any definition of the word, but she and bhelen come out the other side of origins inextricably and painfully bound to one another, genuinely close and strangely caring (the bit in halamshiral in inq about the king depleting orzammar's coffers trying to find the hero of ferelden always gets me...) but also always a few strong drinks away from some light-to-heavy attempted fratricide.

cyrus hawke: it was malcolm, once upon a time. his relationship with leandra has always been strained, and there's a certain distance between him and his siblings (bethany's magic, carver's independence), but cyrus deeply admired his father and has always tried to emulate him. more than that, cyrus felt that malcolm understood and supported him, treating him with gentleness and empathy when his protectiveness and earliest inclinations toward sacrifice got him hurt.

yiseeril trevelyan: no one; yiseeril's family was embarrassed by her magic, and while she was in ghislain, the only person she kept in contact with was her mother. when she was made tranquil, yiseeril presumed that the transfer to ostwick was arranged by her and spent years expecting her visit. it was only later that she discovered the transfer was made by a rival of the trevelyan family to humiliate them further.

history.

A young woman, fresh off her Harrowing, met a young merchant during a work opportunity selling potions in the markets of Starkhaven. They fell in love quickly, and soon enough, she never returned to the Circle. They bore a daughter, named Sabina, and lived in the countryside for a time.

Until it was time to move again, as they did under the guise of a merchant's work, and they moved to Ferelden. Sabina's father had been paying off Starkhaven templars to spare his wife, and now, daughter until one evening when he didn't come back from the stalls on time, and a pair of Ferelden templars descended upon their home.

Sabina's mother bought her time, but the ten year old girl didn't get very far, and was taken to Kinloch Hold. She spent eight years in the circle, festering anger and guilt and making few friends.

Several months before her eighteenth birthday, she escaped Kinloch through years of planning, telling no one, not even the friends she'd made, of her decision. She was found by a Rivaini seer by the name of Iona, and desperate to never go back, Sabina became Drucilla.

Drucilla's time with Iona lasted for only a few months, and much in the same manner, she left Iona with no word, determined to be free (some more months later, Drucilla learned that Iona had died, and feeling the guilt of a relationship taken for granted, she took on her last name, Pritchard, in honor of her.)

Drucilla was found by pirate captain Isabela, who, over a round of drinks and a game of Wicked Grace, pried her story from her. Drawn by the familiarity of a girl running from a shitty situation, Isabela offered Drucilla a place on her crew. It took work to master swordsmanship and the way around pirate ship, along with learning to hide her magic, but Drucilla took to piracy like she'd been born to be a first mate.

Now, with the end of the Siren's Call and all of her crew, Drucilla and Isabela are in Kirkwall working as smugglers.

Domestic Druig Headcanons

Request: Hi can you do domestic headcanons about Druig, please. Thank youuu!

Word Count: 471 A/N: I'm such a softie for Druig, and loved writing this :)

Living with Druig in the modern age was pure domestic bliss.

The two of you lived in a townhome together with your two cats, Brigid and Cullen.

It took both the cats and Druig a minute to get used to each other, but now when you got home from work, it wouldn't surprise you to see Druig reading in his chair as Cullen laid in his lap and Brigid perched herself at the top.

Sometimes, he'd walk around the house with one or both of them cradled in his arms like a child.

One day you came home to see the most peculiar sight.

"Dru, I'm home! Did you start-"

And there in front of you was Druig, cats in arms, dressed up as members of the Avengers.

"They're the Meow-vengers, (Y/N)!"

Druig and you would alternate who cooked and who did the dishes... or at least you tried to do that, but most nights you would end up cooking and he would do dishes.

He just isn't good at cooking, poor baby

He once tried to make your favorite soup while you were feeling ill and it just turned into a huge mess.

"Wow Dru, this is really... Thank you" "You are terrible at lying. Should I order take out?" "Yes, please."

But he didn't mind the trade-off, he much preferred to watch you dance around the kitchen while he took care of the mess. You would sway around and sing along to whatever played through the speaker. Or if you were tired, you would stand next to him with a mug of tea as you continued to tell him about your day.

And after everything was washed up, he'd ask for your hand and softly sway along to the music and spin you around, occasionally pressing soft kisses to your temples.

On the weekends, there was a consistent battle of who would get out of bed first.

Druig was a surprisingly big cuddler, and if you dared try to get out of bed while he still was groggy in your bed, he would tug you back into his arms without warning.

However, Druig had a weakness; he was super ticklish on his neck and ribs so if you really had to get up, you would tickle him as a last resort to escape.

Yet it rarely ended in your escape, because Druig would chase you around in an attempt to get his revenge.

"Dru! I have to go meet-" "Nope," he said, snatching you over his shoulder, "you're coming back to bed."

But other mornings he would wake you gently with a cup of coffee or tea, and press soft kisses around your face until you pushed him away and took the mug from him.

Life with Druig was lovely and precious. Something you would never trade away.

Yennefer of Vengerberg - It is the clean and fantasy version of home. She will feel some nostalgia and maybe have a bit of fun with her magic. Help create that illusion of a fantasy world - Pippin, Dru, Asmodeus, Leia 

Rabastan Lestrange - Might go out of curiosity but not get very involved. It’s all a bit too loud for him. So he won’t stay long. Voldemort, Cissy

Billy Loomis - He will go. Try some of the weapons. Just have a bit of fun. He loves movies and so a renn faire when he can wear a costume is very much up his alley. Seol, Jill

Cleo Mckinnon - She loves a fantasy world and so she will definitely be going for the whole thing to just enjoy the vibes. She’s fascinated by vikings so will likely dress up as a viking of some kind. Marlene, Thor, Esther, Ewan

Charles Xavier - He will likely be dragged there. it’s not really his environment but he is eager to please. So he’ll have fun but under slight protest at first. Ororo, Jean, Billy

Cullen Rutherford - It’s just like home. Like Yennefer he will go for the nostalgia of home. He can bring out his cape and sword from home without seeming weird. He can give some sword fighting lessons as well. Arthur, Vax

Fleur Delacour - She is a badass but she loves romantic stuff and is very happy to dress in a beautiful dress. She will be enjoying it a lot. - Bill, Zishu, Rose, Dominique, Vic, Cedric

Hunter - Let’s face it he will be dragged to the event by Omega and Rowena. So he will go. But swords and medieval stuff isn’t his way really. (Though yes he will likely be dressed like a pirate) Beau, Rowena, Fennec 

Jorah Mormont - He will be a little hesitant going but curiosity will get the best of him. He will be part of the jousting tournament with his horse. He will get into the vibe and regress a little bit to his time of being a knight. Mingjue, Jaime, Dany

Bones McCoy - He will be dragged there likely. He is a bit of a kill joy so won’t dress up but secretly he will enjoy the vibes. Have a few drinks and let himself relax a little bit. 

Parker - She’s going and dressing up as an elf and no one can tell her otherwise. - Yuri, Aloth, Legolas, Stitch, Eddie

Peter Ballard - It’ll be an interesting event for him to witness. He is there to observe. Learn and experience. But keep a low profile. - Tandy

Peter Hale - It’s a bit of fun so Peter will be there. Maybe cheat a little with his werewolf strength on some of the games and competitions. - Noah, Theo, Bev

Satine Kryze - Another chance to have some fun. Actually enjoy her time instead of worrying. She is very intrigued. Excited for it all actually. Obi Wan

Silco - He will go. Show his face as he feels he should do as a senator. He is unlikely to get to involved but could get swept up in the fun.

Sion Val Palpatine - He wants to part take in all of the tournaments. Learn as much as he can from all of the masters. He will have the best time if also to distract him from Sella. - Claire, Allana, Chewie 

Tenel Ka Djo - A bit of fun never hurt anyone. So she will be there. It’s not really her scene these days but she’s not opposed to trying new things. Jaina

Ygritte - She will be showing off her skills at the archery stand. It is likely where she will spend most of her time. Amber

Cordelia - She will enjoy going. Even just to enjoy the atmosphere. She loves the music and seeing everyone have fun. Alastor, Reed

Buffy the vampire slayer season 2 review

literally no one gave them the right for half the episodes in this season and I’ll single handedly fight whoever made me feel like this. So clearly the show was picked up after the first season as it launches straight from 12 episodes to 22. Honestly I love It so far and still do- also spike. Y’all were right he’s great. Just.... just who allowed you to do that finale she’s 17 let her watch crappy movies or something.

seriously I like just finished and I’m still not ok

𝐒𝐭𝗼𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐮𝐩! 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝗼𝐞𝐬𝐧𝐭!

SLIGHTLY more vampires then season one! This was my more major complaint of season one , but with more episodes they could pace out the story driven - I don’t want to say ‘main plot’ episodes. There’s a equal mix of vampire slayage and ‘living on a hellmouth’ activity’s. I kinda like how you’ll have your more goofy monster of the month episodes then WHAM. Vampires! Emotions! Death! Straight in the gut. However at the same time it feels like it sort of drags a bit. Like everyone’s stuck in this sort of loop of development just like the world. Learn a lesson or evolve as a charecter or some sort of word thing? Next episode it’s kinda ignored and that flaw is back again.

however I am completely LIVING for the Halloween episode.

Someone get this girl a hug I swear to god she’s been though it. As much as I adore her and think she’s funny and smart , though cocky , but at the same time she suffers from the development issue I said before. Like she learns a lesson then next episode jumps straight back into the same sort of thing. However this is no fault on her and mainly just proves she has a good heart. Again he’s still my soul. No porn star t-shirt this time :( . Again he’s just he’s funny, he’s awkward but his hearts in the right place. He really is a human puppy dog, who’s more bark then bite too. I also love the detail of him remembering all the military stuff from Halloween but also the ���I was a hyena once I can relate to the werewolf :D” I love hyena boy. Also low key self deprecating half the time.

Willow-

Baby angel. Nerd queen. Love her so much omg. I love how sweet she is but also how at the same time she’s decently tough, and then gets all excited when she acts tough. Seriously she’s so adorable I may burst.

Giles-

Also my soul. Father figure of the year. Also, I like how this season began hinting at something deeper then what meets the nerdy nerdy surface. He’s kinda like willow a sweet and awkward nerd however he WILL snap much more often then she will.

Oz-

SETH GREEN! That’s it. Seth green! I love him so much oz is such a sweetheart, though it is kinda like willow dating a male, werewolf, version of herself. Though I’m here for it.

Cordillera -

How she is both developed and the same at the same time. I love her lmao.

Angel-

How do you go from Edward Cullen to dork to evil boy to sad boy. Apparently don’t have sex because you’ll be happy and turn evil kids. Really... who put that into the curse? Ok so yeah on one hand he’s no longer suffering so why have him cursed, at the same time it opens up the chance for him to do the same thing you fucking cursed him for again! Seriously evil him is both entertaining as it is a very punchable face.

Spike-

The guy pulls up looking like that, to that music. I swear it was like Billy Hargrove like a instant “well there going to be good” (as in interesting charecter-) and it was right. I love how he just shows up and is all “ok, what do you do for fun around here” .... “you people have heard of fun here right? Jesus Christ- what do you do? Skeam all day?” Later half after the mid part of the season he sort of Meh’s. However his sarcasm is p e a k.

Dru-

I love her you don’t understand. She’s so creepy and cute , evil and yet understandable. You both feel sympathetic but also worried over what she’s going to try.

Buffy and angel-

Cute , until it wasn’t. Honestly I like how they got over the tragedy early in the seasons an just got to dating like good god. Honestly they’re cute, somehow Constant make outs and being overly protective works. Then he , you know... goes evil after her - god that’s. That’s one way. I felt so bad for her Jesus. Also the last few minutes when he gets his soul back and he- and she- yeah.

Xander and cordillera-

I’m acting loving their relationship. Something about non stop bickering lead me to think it’d happen. And it did exactly as I thought it would(also nothing will be funnier the Transition of them sliding down in the closet and it cuts to sex Ed class. Nothing will ever be funnier. I am a 2 year old leave me alone.)

Willow and oz-

They’re so cute I’m going to burst I swear. Sweet dorks in love I cannot Handle it I can’t . I love them so much.

First of all, it took forever for me to get around to this and I am literally the worst. But even though you might not even see this I’m going to answer because I think it’s an interesting question.

The Bastard Boyfriend is an always male love interest whose defining trait is that he is cold, cruel, or abusive to his romantic partner, in a manner intended to be kinky and appealing to the audience. They almost always get the girl and the consequences of their behavior are rarely handled realistically.

To be totally honest, this reminds me of Angel (excluding his development on his own show) more than Spike. 

I don’t think Spike’s defining trait was his treatment of Buffy or his role as the Romantic Hero Who’s Secretly Terrible (contrast that with Edward Cullen or Damon Salvatore, and please no one hate me for saying that). He had his relationship with Dru, his past with Angel, his chip storyline…when I think Spike I don’t think “Buffy’s boyfriend”. If Angel hadn’t gotten his own show, however, that’s exactly how I would think of Angel. On Buffy Angel is definitely painted as appealing and oh-so-mysterious. Spike’s love of Buffy was at first met with scorn and mockery from everyone, including Buffy herself. As an audience member I was also left with the impression that Spike was beneath her, and this feeling never really went away. Angel, however, left like he was Buffy’s One True Love even after everything that happened.

Perhaps I’m being too strict in what qualifies as The Bastard Boyfriend, but to me this trope is for the characters that are awful and toxic and yet treated as the perfect match for the hero. I think Spuffy was always treated as messy. Whether it was received that way…well that’s another story. There are definitely many audience members that read Spike that way. But I don’t really think that was intended??

I think where he does really fit is the second part, where the consequences of his behavior aren’t handled realistically. It’s difficult for me to imagine a scenario where a relationship could (or should) come back from a rape attempt, soul or no.
