Teen!Hades x Reader: Peculiar

Word Count: 586 Warnings/Notes: n/a Summary: The Reader is enjoying a quiet spot at Merlin’s Academy. While they are busy reading, Hades shows up.

  Absolute silence. A rarity at Merlin’s Academy as it hosted a flood of students. From royalty to ordinary citizen and beyond, everyone was welcome to learn.   Outside, you found yourself relishing in the absence of the usual chatter. In the shade of one of the small hallways, arching between the courtyard and the indoors, you read a book. The bench you were sitting on was not the least bit comfortable, but you did your best to ignore it. For the chance to catch up on a book that you had been craving to read all day? You took it.

  Turning a crisp page, you smiled to yourself at the words. What you did not expect was to actually hear any.   “And you’re reading…again.”   Hades. You had missed his approach. The potted tree blocked your view into the courtyard.   “Yes, that does tend to happen, doesn’t it?” You asked, not looking up at him. A ghost of a smile etched over your lips as he stood in front of you.

  One moment, then two. Hades remained quiet, stoic. Sometimes it was rather uncharacteristic of him.   You read through another paragraph before you peered up from the pages. “Did you need something?” You asked.   He shrugged, lips pressed together in a thin line. With his thumbs resting idly in his jacket pockets, there was not much else that he did.   Shaking your head with a small smile, you returned to reading.

  The dragons were not exactly how you had imagined they would be. However, you did have to consider that perhaps the author had never seen one in person either. Works of fiction each held their own interpretations.

  Double checking the previous page, you almost paused reading entirely. The fellow student standing within arm’s reach was becoming oddly distracting for someone who remained utterly still.   Shifting his weight in his boots, Hades looked in either direction, inspecting. Deeming it a suitable situation, he sat down beside you. He leaned back against the stone wall and shot you a look.   You were giggling to yourself. The feeling of his gaze bore into you from the action, but you did not care. If he had actually meant any ill will to you, it would have been obnoxiously obvious by now.   Despite the look he gave you, he said nothing. At least not verbally. He bumped his knee to yours once.   Apparently, as the circumstance would have it, Hades wanted to spend time with you. Even if you were reading. Despite any fiery igniting of his hair, he could be quite patient.

  Reaching the end of the chapter, you placed a bookmark between the pages and closed the book. You put it next to you before straightening up on the bench. It took a moment, but you managed to dig up a piece of foiled gum. Holding it up between you and the young god, you paused in waiting.   Surprised that it was still held within your grasp, you turned your head to look at him curiously.   Hades rose a skeptical eyebrow.   “It’s mint, Hades,” you assured and smirked. “You know…spicy cold.”   He rolled his eyes. “Please don’t.”   Likewise, your brows raised teasingly. “Please?”   He sighed, tilting his head back against the wall. Looking directly at you, he said, “You’re hilarious, you know that?” His voice was thick with sarcasm. Even so, he plucked the piece of gum out of your hold.   “You’re welcome,” you laughed.   “Yeah, thanks.”

  And so went the peculiar friendship that you both somehow understood.

Descendants 5 is already disregarded as canon in my books (literally & figuratively)

LISTEN BEFORE YOU START YELLING—Yes, I'm still going to watch it, but even if I like it, whoever the hell is making decisions at Disney needs to get fired and replaced. I KNOW there are good people on the descendants team, but they're being forced into writing shitty arse material with villain kids named after FREAKING COLORS!!

I mean, its effing Wonderland Disney, you named a caterpillar Absolem you can name a kid something better than pink. And giving Hook more kids?? REALLY?? The cartoon version of him hated kids!! One was enough, you didn't need 3 more in other versions!!

I get it, you wanted a pirate in your little play-pen tournament—USE HARRIET THEN, OR CJ!! Just because people are thirsting over Hook in D4 doesn't mean you give him another kid. ESPECIALLYYYY without even letting us know the mother! Damn! Who's popping out this man's babies?? You could have done GASTON's daughter and gotten less backlash smh.

Also, everyone's saying it, but Madrigal powers are not genetic fam you made the rules can you EFFING FOLLOW THEM. I swear if Luis has super strength—

Hot Hells, I know hundreds if not thousands of fanfic writers who would do so much better than this attention-seeking corporate company right now, and it's not just D5.

I don't mean to get fired up, I love the descendants movies and I love Red and Chloe. But y'all... I'm so done with Disney. If they don't make glassheart canon after all this we're all rioting.

time travel is often as an excuse to do MASSIVE retcons and more or less do a major overhaul of established history and/or worldbuilding. how certain can we be that disney didn't create the time travel plot for the sole purpose of completely erasing the first three descendants movies for a new, fully rebooted era rather than a spinoff??

Red is literally flipped onto the ground and pinned there bc Chloe is a lot stronger than she looks (cue gay panic but also regular panic bc you just got caught stealing from a girl who literally has you pinned to the ground)

After re-watching the films and then Descendants: The Rise of Red, I wrote down a few fanfic ideas just for fun. So, I was wondering if you would be interested in reading new Descendants insert readers from me.

I myself am a visual learner, and just saw someone else do something similar with their fic (the page refreshed before I could find them for credit) and so I thought this might be a good ad for my fic lol.

It is OC-centric... but I promise it's good! Got some angst, some fluff, gay panic and polyamory as well as plenty of lore and some actually realistic reactions to trauma.

LONG RAMBLE UNDER THE CUT PEOPLE BRACE YOURSELVES- BUT I FIGURED IT OUT!

So obviously they created Uliana because if it was Ursula that did the prank, Bridget would've killed her. And if Ursula wasn't alive, Uma would've never existed.

They called Uliana Ursula's 'baby sister' which probably means that Ursula would've been an adult- or at least nearing adulthood, which would make sense in the fact that Uma is an adult in d3 and dror (I pretty sure she's a teen in d1 & 2)

Then there's the cookbook plothole. If we're going on the context of the deleted scene in the new timeline, where Morgie finds the cookbook, that means that there would be no one to open it for Uliana's crew since Ella would be grounded (if we're going on the theory that she opened it for them) and she would be innocent and have nothing to do with the prank and that would explain why Bridget and Ella are still close friends in the new timeline.

However, based on the context of the original timeline, where the QoH says "humiliating a girl at her first dance? now that's just cruel" which means that Ella had to have SOMETHING to do with it, otherwise I don't think QoH would've been angry at her for no reason.

The cookbook had to opened by a good person. Which is why Ella probably helped open it.

The question is, how did Bridget find out Ella opened it in the original timeline, and why did Ella help the VK's in the first place?

(I had to put one of these cos this shit was getting wayyyy too long and it's a slight topic change)

Timetravel is a funny thing (speaking as a marvel, tech and STEM nerd), if you change the past, it becomes the present. Chloe knocking down the vase would've happened in all timelines/multiverses, but have different consequences. However one thing that's will stay is that Ella was grounded. And in the new timeline, she probably wouldn't have snuck out for Castlecoming, and would've never fallen in love with Charming (if we're going on my theory that Ella was completely different when Red and Chloe changed the timeline). That means SOMEONE must have broken the vase in the original one too.

Chloe, of course.

But in the original timeline she would've snuck out to go to Castlecoming and fallen in love with Charming. Which, as we know, is the fairy tale. But this is a new timeline, so we have no idea what the fairytale is here.

But hey, maybe I'm overthinking it and Ella stayed the same.

But to be fair, if we're speaking professionally here, if Bridget and everyone else changed, she would've too. Plus we can see that she wasn't as comfortable being close to Chloe in the new timeline as she was in the original one.

New Descendants OC/Sona, Nicolás de Avalor !!

His full name is Nicolás Federico Castillo Flores, and despite his appearance he acts nothing like a royal. Because of his rebellious attitude and tendency to interact casually with Villain Kids, the court of Avalor wonders whether he is fit to take the throne once he is of age.

His main friend group consists of Wendy, Tina, Aiden, and Seghen; he also gets along well with Meredith (Red) but doesn’t talk to her much as Wendy has a strong distaste for her. He has the same powers his mother has, though he has more difficulty controlling them.

He doesn't have a significant other per-se, though the court has tried (and failed) to set him up with several princesses over the years. He flirts with almost all his guy-friends, though whether he's serious or not is a mystery to most.
