i do think, however, that their boyfriend/first friend iliris did try to teach them how to read. however, he gave up very quickly, because he doesn't have the patience to actually teach someone to read.

i used to put "loyal" into like every single one of my characters' personality bios when i was a preteen so i just HAD to add it here it was nEEDED

i never put human accessories on animal characters either so i had to fulfill this trope its so FUN. i couldnt think of what wc accessory to use as a stand in for a school uniform anyway (some cool feathers or leaves that they all wear maybe??? idk). nor do i normally give cats human hairstyles!! MISSING OUT

also i deliberately capitalized SonobenoClan. it just felt right to do so here

also also i just think those hybrids that look like one half are so silly KSKSKS (cod... that concept can be so freaking cool too... lard) and i wanted to design cat sara so it only worked to our favor

the gun/cat hybrid and she/gun pronouns are such counterparts to me... it feels like the hybrid thing is oldschool silly oc trope and this is the newschool one. i love neopronouns and i love hybrids

3 hours of work (+3 hrs of doing nothing but chatting) before my computer dropped to 100mb of storage and crashed my krita and discord at 5am and then i went to sleep at like 8am. we were only supposed to take a 20 minute break to doodle. the call went on for 8 total hours.

Just starting from where the animatic starts off...

Holly got accepted into the college he wanted to go to and obviously his parents were really proud of him, but soon after he graduated they started immediately pressuring him to get a job and become something great, which Holly wasn't ready for as a fresh out of college student. His parents, and especially his father, were very relentlessly in their nagging that he get to the top and get the money to support the whole family, since neither of his parents made a lot at their respective jobs.

Holly got tired of this cycle really quickly and started fighting back with his parents, but neither of them let up.

Soon enough, He finds out about Cadal and the oil rig and decides that he'll go work there because, 1. Maybe it'll appease his parents since it was at least a job, and 2. So he could get away from his parents so that if the job didn't satisfy them, they couldn't argue with him while he was on the ocean.

He didn't tell his family he was going there, he didn't even tell his parents that he was leaving at all. He just told his sister that he would be gone for a while, told his mom he was going to stay with a friend, and then left.

Also not relevant to this specific animatic, but it is important to his character : holly trees are seen as a symbol of protection and goodwill

OH BABY so i'll start off with the fact that currently i've only drawn one out of 3 of my 'canon' ocs (the oc's that are directly a part of my own story/universe/whatever) - i did make a picture of another of the three using picrew, but i haven't got a reference picture for the third yet. anyway

THE OC'S! - first and foremost, we have bee (named after me) (you can find the drawing of him on my blog). i'll just quickly summarise his characteristics, soooo - 25 years old (originally his age was my age + 1 year, but i decided to bump it up) - personality (taken from when i was rambling to a friend): "usually quiet, but when he's around familiars/friends he opens up more and is more vocal. he's one who likes to get things done quickly/out of the way, and usually opts for the shortest answer/option his attitude is usually calm and content, but he can be easilly aggro'd if you pry too hard/bug him too much" - main motivations/goal: to find out more about his past (backstory will be explained later). finding out what caused the fire, what happened to the residents, if the village even still exists or if it was lost to time. also wants to find out more about himself. for starters, bee isn't actually his real name, it was given to him since he was very attached to a bee plushie that the adoption centre had. he also wants to find out about the person he could've been where it not for the incident, along with other small things about himself that aren't as important BACKSTORY TIME! (again just gonna take my rambling i gave to friend) "when he was only a few months or so old, a fire ravaged the entire village/town he lived in and quickly killed anything in its path. his parents were trying to save everything they could, but as the fire came closer they realised they wouldn't be able to make it out, so they decided to run and take bee outside to keep him away from the fire, while they went back to try and save at least one other thing. bee could only watch as their parents faded away in the light. after a moment of crying and sobbing a stranger picks him up and takes him to a rescue team set up alongside many others, to where he was transported into another location along with everyone else they took. he was put into an adoption centre and was adopted by a single mother. she cared for him as much as she could, having been told about his past. one day while they were out shopping, bee quickly pointed to a black and yellow sweater that he couldn't take his eyes off of. she giggled and decided to buy it for him on the spot, thinking it would be a great fit. ever since that day he wore that sweater as many days as possible, and over time pieced his regular outfit together. after deciding to leave his mother's house when he grew older, he now lives on his own in a small, but cozy house, fit to his lifestyle." ALSO his scarf also has lore on how he got it "when bee lived in another city before he moved into where he lives now, he went exploring to go meet someone. on the way, he found a cave and discovered that he wasn't the only one inside. he spotted a magical looking girl that he wasn't able to chat with, but he noticed she'd dropped a mineral on the floor, so he decided to go find her after he finished his business. when he found her, he handed her the crystal back, and so began their friendship. bee found out she had arrived from another world with advanced technology and was attempting to build a teleporter to transport her back. bee became close friends and helped her with her side projects, while she gave him a few to take for himself, though he no longer has them now. when she eventually finished the teleporter, she decided to give bee a memento, by donating him her signature clothes, including her scarf. as bee watched her go through the teleporter and quickly escape after she had initiated a self-destruct, he decided that he would dawn her scarf from that day forward, so she'd never be forgotten. even today he still hopes that they won the war against the robots." uuuuhhh i think that's basically everything i've come up with for him as for my other two oc's i do not have as much detail for them as much as bee (like for example i do not have names for either of them)

In regards of the roleplay, you can either choose a canon character or make your own original character for the RP. You can apply for a character making a submission, which consists on basic data of your desired character, personality description, appearance description/reference, and a roleplay sample. You can also add a backstory if you're submitting an OC. Currently you can have up to 2 characters per user, and it to be either 1 RFA canon, 1 Another Story canon, 1 RFA oc, or 1 Mint Eye oc.

Plot:

Same base as the original game, with the difference that Rika's appartment is more house-like, and has enough rooms for several MCs. The RFA chatroom was hacked, letting a lot of random people access the app. These people were tricked into going to Rika's house and now they're all staying there while 707 tries to fix the app and fight the hacker. The MCs are able to leave the house up to four hours per day to buy groceries, visit other characters or whatever they like. We also got the Mint Eye believers. Each one of them has a number code (i. e., A306) and a role inside of the cult. They have a lot more freedom than the RFA OCs, as long as they don't rebel against Rika and do their job.

Plot is better detailed in the server.

Aight so the reason I said I'd drop it in the chronmune at some point is bc a lot of it's still secret (and a few of them follow me here so 🤐)

But I'll gladly do an overview of the chronmune and my characters yeah

So, the chronmune (originally "the ceaseless watcher's special little commune") is a tma based rp that started in april 2021 on discord. Following tiktok user crowpunkin's t party livestreams, where over a few months he and the chat brainstormed a fictional castle commune.

Once the discord was made it was swiftly turned into mostly being about the rp (though we still have plenty of beloved folk in there who don't rp)

I ended up being the one to develop much of the lore about the actual castle and commune and all that jazz in the rp.

And so, my bullshit:

The castle had existed for a very long time, longer than even the history I know of it. But what I do know of it is after it had been abandoned for only a few years. A couple moved in, known to us as Mx Chron and Ms Eye, and their child. Chron and Eye would do anything to protect their child, and fortunately for them, they had magic they could employ. So they took the opportunity.

A barrier, encompassing the entire castle grounds, to keep their family safe. Their child was away while they installed it, so they hoped it would be a nice surprise to return to.

But, of course, it went wrong.

The barrier instead made it so that members of the Chron-Eye family could not leave the castle grounds. And so that is where Mx Chron and Ms Eye died, after begging their child to never return, lest they also be trapped there.

Fast forward to the 1880s

The Chron-Eye family was still around, though the name had been bastardised. After dying of tuberculosis, Mee6 Cronie found themself to still be around, though no one could see them. They were a ghost.

Mee6 had always been a rambunctious child in life and took this opportunity to start a grand exploration. Which originally was just further into the city than she'd previously been allowed to go. But eventually took him across oceans to different countries.

1947

Mee6, much more corporeal and confident in their ghostly abilities than when they first died, found themself dealing with a new issue. The inability to leave a castle he had thought looked fun to explore.

And the worst part was that she was alone. There was a long time where she was unable to communicate and interact with others, but there were always people around.

But now it was just him.

And a swirling pattern on a wall, that seemed like it was trying to comfort them.

1965

Someone else entered the castle. Varis Zima, current representative of Chron. Not that Mee6 understood what that meant, but they were thrilled to find out that he was planning on bringing more people to the castle. Making it a beloved and fairly safe space.

1969

Varis- The High Priest finished setting up The Eye Commune, bringing in its first wave of inhabitants, and workers. For the commune was not just the commune but also had a fantastic cheese factory. These cheese makers would generate the main source of income for the castle.

The High Priest hadn't chosen this castle at random. It was a very spesific mission he went on to find the castle once inhabited by the first Chron avatar. He knew about the barrier and, being a Chron avatar himself, managed to gain control of it.

The cheese makers could not leave.

A young person, they couldn't have been older than 20, was visiting the town the castle was in. They saw a poster for the castle's cheese factory grand opening sale, and thought they might as well check ot out.

They were invited into the castle to look at the cheeses still maturing.

They could not leave.

Wow, what an incredibly long post for me and I didn't even get to the modern stuff, but that's more plot than lore anyway

i don't mind the ak community very much in terms of seeing cool gameplay and a lot of the few people who interpret lore and the few other fanfic authors in english floating out there that i've seen have been really cool and i do try to encourage other creators in the space. there are some exceptions as some things/tropes/opinions piss me off but i try to keep it posi.

i do play in NA on genshin and english global on ak :( but grats on the autism man, the superhero we needed AND wanted. my partner played genshin for a bit before i did and they sent me a picture of xinyan and went ash this looks like you. they aint fuckig wrong. colorism won today

as for ocs! i've been thinking about audie a normal amount* lately. i scribbled some stuff with him and encio and gnosis but lost it when my computer crashed :( there's some stuff i posted in my tag for him tho (which is "oc: audie") about them and their games of chess.

shealtiel DOES do this but he doesnt know why. me instigating a fight because the andoain is hot and i want him on me. also, i think that when he converses with andoain on the trail- because andoain knows he's being followed and just lets shealtiel do it and sometimes tries to chat with him, persuade him to stop being so furious- if andoain starts annoying him he turns off his hearing aids and leaves. turning off my hearing aids i don't want to hear you anymore. andoain has to live with knowing that shealtiel can put him on mute. shealtiel hopes it makes him fucking writhe.

AvA Series Deep Dive

I’ve been re-watching the Animation vs Animator quadrilogy mostly to find out what are the apparent rules of bringing a stick figure to life. So if you want to see me break down how these five stick figures came to life, then go ahead and click the read more.

Victim (AvA I) Video starts with a stick figure being drawn. The drawing is selected and converted to a symbol. The Animator proceeds to name them “victim” and upon pressing enter, the stick figure comes to life.

Studying body language, Victim here is very curious - looking at themself and their surroundings. They have a blue box outline around them that they can push but can’t break. Said box is what the Animator uses to harass poor Victim where they swear up at them and see a boulder is about to be dropped on their head. They only get out of the box with the boulder dropping and them pushing and shoving it.

Another thing to note: the short ends with the Animator exiting the program and choosing not to save Victim. Exiting the program freezes all stick figures in place. This is so far the only true death in this series. Poor Victim lived for only two minutes.

The Chosen One (AvA II) Video starts the same as Victim’s above, only this time the Animator has trouble picking a name (killer & BEAST are free OC names if anyone wants to nab them), before settling on The Chosen One (abbreviated to TCO).

Upon pressing enter, the screen darkens, TCO folds their arms in and then promptly bursts into flames. This shatters the blue box and the pieces burn up in the flames. TCO promptly tosses the fireball and instantly starts fighting the Animator. Talk about a wake up call! 

TCO also exits the flash program by punching it and proceeds to wreck the computer. Now this suggests that upon leaving the file, whether saved or unsaved, the stick figure can’t be killed via the “don’t save” trick. However, I can’t confirm this; the animator only minimizes the program, never exits it.

Reading the chat log between Animator and programmer021 also yields interesting lore: the Chosen One is a level name no one should make. Programmer021 seems to know how to deal with TCO but is cut off when TCO kills AIM. So this suggests there are other chosen ones but they weren’t so lucky as our TCO in surviving.

(Aside, I find it funny the first thing TCO does is rifle through the trash. Then got mad when the Animator removed the trash bin from them.)

The Dark Lord (AvA III) Same as the first two: the Animator draws a red stick figure, converts drawing to a symbol, and names them The Dark Lord (abbreviated to TDL). Interestingly, all TDL does upon waking up is... stretching. No attacking right out the gate like TCO, nor do they seem curious of their surroundings like Victim. Even the blue box stretches to accommodate their movements.

This is the only instance where we see a program instruction for a stick figure, TDL is given the command to destroy TCO and once it’s entered, the TDL starts posing- ready to fight. (The blue box just disappears at this point.) The Animator just picks up and moves them off Flash and they go straight for the attack. (Again, we do not see the Animator saving the file the TDL is on.)

(Behold: the Dork Lord)

The program instruction appears to affect stick figures immediately, but through persuasion or change in circumstances, stick figures can shirk the code.

Now, before I jump into AvA IV and the Second Coming, I’m gonna steer to Alan’s “I made a Stick Figure Animation Course!” because it has a short animation featuring a stick figure named Victim (who I’ll call Victim 2.0 to differentiate from the OG Victim).

Victim 2.0 (I made a Stick Figure Animation Course!)

Starting around 1:06, Victim 2.0 basically starts like everyone else: draw stick figure + convert to symbol + name = life. So far, the only difference is that all parts of Victim 2.0 are boxed, only to become one giant box. Said box shatters because Victim 2.0 falls from the middle of the canvas.

Victim 2.0 only gets a few seconds to check their surroundings before seeing a giant hammer and leaping in panic. They beam straight for the tools and start tossing bombs at the Animator of this clip.

Alas, Victim 2.0 dies too. If you keep watching around 1:23, you can see the Animator exit and presumably close the program without saving. Only 30 seconds to live? Victim 2.0 only lived 1/4th as long as OG Victim.

So the rules so far, just based on these four stick figures:

In Flash, draw stick figure, convert them into a symbol, and give them a name to bring them to life

The name gives power (The Dark Lord & The Chosen One give them super powers, both victims are doomed to short lives; these names seem to come from somewhere given that programmer021 recognizes TCO as a “level”)

Boxes. They appear.

The only way for a stick figure to truly, fully die is to never save the file you’ve drawn them on (rip victim and victim 2.0)

So far these are the firm rules I take from the canon, ignoring other parts that might be assumptions (ex. does a stick figure leaving flash negate the 4th rule? The animator never exits flash when the Chosen One leaves the page to desktop, but never does save the file afterwards.)

So now let’s see how Second just throws all those rules out the window.

The Second Coming/Orange (AvA IV) So I’m going to estimate and say that Second starts to live around 1:32 as this is where we see independent movement, though you could argue they lived earlier than that.

From the start of the short we see the Animator, well, animate a frame by frame running cycle of an orange stick figure. All limbs and parts drawn and erased until the pose looks good enough. By far a different start compared to our other four stick figures- Second is not a symbol like the others. Or at least never converted. The canvas is also called “untitled-1*” meaning this is a fresh file that isn’t saved from before.

So without converting the stick figure to a symbol nor giving Second a name, Second starts moving once the Animator is out of sight. They tip toe and hide behind the browser briefly, wanting to leave the canvas. However, upon the Animator’s return, they panic and run back to their previous pose. They slump once the Animator leaves and once confirming he’s gone, Second bounces in giddy delight. 

And then, upon the task manager scene, they’re the only one to panic in horror at the sight of the Animator’s sudden return. (The others don’t become alarmed at all even with the task manager opening, they just stare in confusion.) The Animator successfully ends everyone’s tasks, except for Second.

From this opening scene, I take it that Second knows he’s not supposed to be “alive” in the traditional sense. I mean, they don’t even have a blue box surrounding them! Rule 3 is vital here - it indicates that the stick figures are symbols much like the Victims, TCO and TDL. Second is just one frame in a series of frames.

This raises the question, where did Second get their name?

This becomes conjecture quickly, but since Second doesn’t follow the rules previously established, the fact that they have a name like “The Second Coming - the Chosen One’s Return” on the Task Manager is wild. Remember, names also give power and a name like this suggests that Second has a lot of power.

I highly doubt the Animator gave Second a name at all. He never turned them into a symbol, never saved the Flash file, and, based on how AvA III went, it would be very dumb if the Animator just named the stick figure “The Second Coming” at all. The Task Manager scene suggests surprise from the Animator since his cursor hovers over the name - I could imagine the Animator breaking into a cold sweat upon seeing the name.

So we have a case of “drawing just comes to life without being named or converted into a symbol.” The only rule I don’t know if Second could break is the “don’t save” trick. They resisted dying to Task Manager and later on, in AvA V, they resist being consumed by viral code - but that isn’t quite the same thing.

All I can say about Second is that they’re an anomaly. The more you think of the proposed rules canon provides and then try to apply them to Second, the more possible horror scenarios I can think of.

That, or, Second is just showing another way sticks come to life. Maybe there isn’t a set of rules aside from drawing. Either way, all these observations create a lot of theories to explore.

Dimitri, a rather popular art professor at the academy he works at (much to his dismay), is more reserved, leaving most of the talking to his husband. When he does chime in, though, he can come off a bit firm, and professional. Occasionally, he will slip up and act snarky, but only when Lavarus is around.

Lavarus, the wine aunt, if you will (he loves calling himself that :D). He’s a fashion designer who also works at the academy with Dimitri, and is fairly popular too!! He and Dimitri enjoy messing with their students, acting as if they aren’t married, but dropping hints every now and then. (It drives their students insane, depending on if they know or not.) But besides that, they keep their relationship professional at the academy. Lavarus is suave, and elegant. As said beforehand, he does a large majority of the talking.

When the two aren’t working, they’re most likely par-oozing about in Hector’s cafe, chatting with him and the regular patrons. If not there, then definitely in Corvus’s plant boutique, gathering plants for their mansion decor (yeah they’re rich). You’ll also find them in the museums a lot, even if you aren’t looking very hard for em.

~I think it goes without saying that Original Charcters are welcome here, given that Sammy is one! I love OCs!!!

~I’m not going to get fancy with icons or images, but I love seeing them and certainly don’t mind all that! If you’re expecting it from me though, I’m sorry to disappoint but it’s not happening. I have no talent with making icons or fancy edits! I’ll use some pictures or gifs sometimes, but they won’t be anything fancy.

About:

Sammy appears to be in her late twenties, quite tall at 6′2″. She can appear like a normal human when she wants to, though her eyes have tapetum lucidum (eyeshine in the dark). Sometimes she has a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, and thick claws, both of which she can summon at will. She can shape shift into a massive black wolf. She’s very strong and fast, with senses that far excel those of a human. She can travel through shadows, walk up walls and across ceilings, and some minor hovering abilities, though that takes a lot of focus.

She’s sensitive to iron, and the ring of an iron bell will bring her to her knees, causing a severe headache while making her very disoriented. If your muse doesn’t know anything about Fae lore, don’t have them bust out an iron bell knowing what it will do to her.

Sammy is a wanderer, has been for many years. She can be convinced to stay a while in one place, but her standard setting is roaming. When she encounters something bigger and badder than her, she tries to mind her manners, though if she thinks she can get away with messing with them without too much damage to herself, she will. She enjoys a good brawl.

She’s a very old being trying to alleviate boredom.

Like any Fae, Sammy is very fickle and unpredictable, it’s hard to know how she’ll react to something. Just keep that in mind. If your muse is nice, chances are Sammy will be nice back, but if they’re looking for trouble, she’ll give them trouble.

2019 in review

So after finally getting all of my drafts done for once, and seeing so many people reblog the "send me something you want to tell me before the end of the year" thing, I'd figure I make a whole ass post as well.

I went into revamping Silas with little to no expectations of interactions, success, etc. because generally speaking, he is one of the more replaceable/easier characters to portray (I.e. I can drop him off to someone and am 100% confident they'd nail his character first try). His story, faceclaim, semblance, in my opinion can easily be replicated, and thus it would make a pretty boring character, and that in of itself made it really difficult to maintain relevancy in order to interact with other OCs, let alone canon characters. I genuinely believe that, along with how much of trademark similarities that align him to male self-inserts would make him very lackluster and boring and low-key cringe (which I understand).

I'd figured "Fuck it, I'll give it this volume and see if I really, really want to get back to it. If it doesn't pan out I'll just leave him on perma-hiatus and come back next time with either better writing or a new OC." I absolutely did not want to revamp with high expectations. I just went into it, doing the dumbest shit that I thought is a great idea.

Basically, I wanted to thank you. Every single one of you for giving me the opportunity to write with you again. Whether it's your OCs or canon characters, your immense world-building and lore, technical jargon, or even just off Tumblr chatting, I'm glad you gave me a chance.

I haven't had the chance to thoroughly interact with everyone I follow/people that follow me, my writing isn't the best, and I notice that my burnout is more apparent in my writing than an actual feeling, but just even letting me follow you just so I can read each and everyones threads, look at all the cool promos, and laugh my ass off at the dash commentary is something that I'm thankful for this past month to two months.

I can only hope to not disappoint everyone in the future.
