UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE?????? THEY SAID TSUNDERE RATIO CANON 😭
TRANSCRIPTION
Owlbert: Dr. Ratio may have a sharp tongue, but it seems there's some mutual respect.
Dr. Ratio: Wait a moment. “Mutual”? What did he say about me?
Owlbert: Aventurine personally asked for Dr. Ratio to be our guest today.
Owlbert: He said... ahem. (imitating Aventurine) "Perhaps only Dr. Ratio can succinctly explain my combat style."
Dr. Ratio: Nonsense! He's a system of chaos devoid of logic. Unintelligible!! That gambler can't possibly think my mathematics are suited to this— this pinball, can he?
Owlbert: He also said, "Dr. Ratio will vigorously deny this, but if he didn't fully understand my abilities, why would he accept the invitation to come on the show?"
Dr. Ratio: That's not,, I just… I approve of this show's dedication,, to truth,, and… knowledge. Nothing more.
Owlbert: Haha, I really can't tell what the deal is between you two!
Welcome back to the bits of soup I deem good enough for the public:
Angel 100% thought Zach and Ruben were dating for a hot second. It would've been like somewhere in between after the talent show and before canon starts. But either way I think it went something like this.
Ruben: yeah so there's this guy
Zach: ooh guy?
Angel: oh do you guys have an open relationship?
Zach & Ruben: what-
Angel: aren't you dating?
Zach: i mean ruben's an amazing person but I'm straight-
Angel was then confused about this for the next like month. After this interaction he ran it by Jon and Jon was like "bro what planet do you live on?". Then after Zach and Ruben came out to Jon and Angel, Angel pulled Jon aside and was like "fuck you I knew it I was right".
Secondary thought. After Zach and Ruben got their shit together but before Jon and Angel knew (that's a time window of like 2 weeks right??? I don't remember lol) they like put together that something was going on and were trying to make the math math. Eventually Angel got to "they've gotta me a thing man no way they aren't" which was very "I've connected the dots. You didn't connect shit. I've connected them.)
something to know about me is i love luxurious bathing. it is very easy to elevate a regular bath. throw some epson salts or a bath bomb in there, get some mood light going, toss in a rubber ducky or two...
if u have a small stool or chair u can fit next to your tub, place an extra towel on it so u can dry your hands- and boom now u can READ in the bath. in the winter i also love to make a hot cocoa or some tea.
My husband told me my abuser asked, "When is she going to propose to me?" The amount of things from me that sick fuck felt entitled to is absolutely insane.
all things said and done, lone star perfectly captured carlos’ trauma post-coming out and his relationship with his father and how conflicting it feels for him.
to have a lot of love and respect for gabriel while also harbouring a lot of resentment and pain for years, rafa through carlos nailed that balance between being hurt by your parents’ actions and never getting over it while also forgiving them because they’re a product of their generation and trying to rationalise your upbringing and their actions but also keeping them at arms length resulting in neither gabriel or carlos knowing anything about each other.
worst part about getting hurt by parents due to a generational gap and trauma is that its unintentional a lot of the times
this scene is just painful cuz its almost like carlos focused so much on the hurt of gabriel’s actions cuz he’s dealing with the fall out of it as an adult, that he almost completely rejected good childhood memories he had with him and the moment from the old tape is cracking right down to the core of it all that gabriel loved his son to pieces and carlos is witnessing that in a completely grief stricken state and his deterioration after that made me ugly sob
technically only one was truly a secret passage, but I like to count the easily visible trapdoor-accessible loft anyway because unlike a typical trapdoor-accessible attic the loft was two parts on two sides of the house and the only way to the second half was an honest-to-god indoor wooden bridge.
The true secret passage was actually the door to the only bathroom, which was a sliding bookcase. It was a tiny house and when it was being built the options were "will we use this space for a bookcase, or a bathroom door?" and the answer was "yes"
