positivity for a hijirihara who feels bad about being squicked out by doubles? im a fictive of him so i feel that im the "truest" hijirihara,, i mean , im often okay with doubles but i end up having to do a double take when i see a double for the first time bc thats me, but thats also them and i just,, feel bad about that overall hh,, sorry if this is a bother aaaa,,,

Okay, to the positivity–

I honestly don’t think you should feel ‘bad’ about your situation…

You have an understandable reason as to why you tend to feel uneasy or surprised when near doubles. And I’m sure it must get difficult at times when being exposed to the internet and a mass of popular kin blogs that receive requests from all types of kin. It must get overwhelming at times, but you’re doing a great job dealing with it then coming out and verbally abusing the person. So well done on that.

And I’m sure it must be strange, I mean you see yourself featured in requests you didn’t order…And if you’re really close to kin, and in your case you must be, it’s completely fine to feel this way. In lots of cases, doubles can make on feel uncomfty because of the reasons you’ve mentioned yourself. You really shouldn’t feel too bad about this, yes it’s nice when doubles don’t particularly bother you, but everyone is different and through it have had their different shares of finding and connecting with characters…

And I know a lot of the time we can’t control how we feel, but Takumi-san…it is completely alright, if not normal. You’ve gained a strong connection with Hijirihara and no one can really blame you for feeling how you feel when around/viewing doubles.

You’re doing a wonderful job of going along with it. And I’m sure it must get difficult, but you must keep in mind that others are also valid… and the thought may seem strange to you, but if it makes you feel any better, think of your Hijirihara doubles as past life kins.

I’m not sure if that’s the correct term but that’s how I kin most of the time and it helps me whenever I encounter doubles. Though if you know of someone who IDs with Hijirihara then that is a completely different story…there are certain IDs I’m not too comfortable to be around but I mange, and I know you can too.

In the meantime, don’t look into other Hijirihara kin stuff, and try to avoid them whenever you can. No one can blame you for wanting to avoid something for your own self comfort after all…

I’m not entirely sure of what to say other then, it’s completely alright to feel such a way, I mean, seeing yourself when it’s not a refection in a mirror or window or puddle, is quite surprising, so I can completely see why it takes you off guard sometimes.

You’ve just gotta learn not to be so hard on yourself! Don’t even feel bad for feeling this way when others can deal just fine! Cuz I know people who struggle with it on a daily basis (My irl friend can’t stand doubles, so we’ve been a bit wary of each other ever since I confessed my kinship with Maki)

You’re not the only one who feels this way about doubles…so never be harsh on yourself if you wouldn’t be harsh on someone going through something similar! Treat yourself equally and rightfully. You deserve the consideration and compassion I’m sure you give to others.
