Hi! It's been a little while since the last episode of the podcast and I really miss you rambling on about the show lol. Are there new episodes coming any time soon? hey! it has been a little while, I know we sort of dropped off the radar a bit there, sorry about that <3

We sort of knew this last half of the year was going to be a bit of a shitshow (lots of external factors all culminating at the same time, when it rains it pours y'know?) and we were hoping to keep releasing on a reduced schedule, but unfortunately it really does take a solid 8 to 12 hours minimum to create each episode and trying to keep up with that on top of everything else has become a bit impossible :(

We are still recording! slowly but surely haha (we're up to 7x06) and will hopefully get right back into the swing of things towards the end of this year :)

long story short, we will be back! we're just not 100% sure on an exact date (but rest assured, I'm sure Jamie will have some fresh memes prepped for our return announcement haha)

Episode 93: Sam, Interrupted

This week the girls start off talking about things from four episodes ago but quickly course correct into a full dissection of ‘Sam, Interrupted’. Hot takes this week as Beth suggests Sam should be allowed to “be a bit pissy”. Jamie gets a chance to flex her uni debt as the girls psychoanalyse Andrew Dabb based on his psychoanalysis of Dean, through Dean’s psychoanalysis of himself (via an imaginary psychiatrist) and try to decide if Dabb did something interesting on purpose or entirely accidentally, mental gymnastics ensue. Also featuring Google reviews for The Rehab Dungeon.

Jamie should look up the prayer to Saint Michael. I'm just gonna say that I think it is very fascinating that the name Michael just keeps showing up in searches about archangels because Michael has some very specific mythology in Christianity.

im binging y’all’s podcast right now (on s4), and Beth: your poker face must be ELITE, like MULTIPLE times I have clapped a hand over my mouth or stood up abruptly in the middle of a lunch area, from Jaime’s predictions. The guessing Lucifer/Michael vessels, guessing Gabriel, GUESSING ADAM’S EXISTENCE?! I screamed, like I fully CANNOT.

hey! honestly I am CONSTANTLY on guard lmao, I think in 1x03 she made the first joke about "how buff is Sam actually?" and my brain went "oh no! demon blood!" and I think you can hear in the episode I like immediately derail the conversation into something else because I was panicking haha - from then on I've been much more vigilant about my reactions, really it was lucky we had that moment so early on!

i’ve only listened to the episode on the pilot so far but may i say, jamie is so real for all of her critiques on the writing and directing. and beth you are so right on about the weird homophobic/emasculating gags giving dean a certain queer flavor. anyway, i was dreading sifting through the many supernatural podcasts out there, so i am very glad to have found yours!

I totally feel you! there are soooo many spn pods it can be a bit daunting trying to figure out where to start, luckily a lot of us interact with and appear as guests on each others shows so if you find one you like then you're bound to find others!

I'm listening to ep 66 rn, and I didn't realize that this ep was a dabb ep. But I'm fascinated bc dabb's like Whole Thing is that Dean Is An Avatar for Toxic Masculinity, and like. Wow. His first episode and he had already picked that as his take.

it's been absolutely Wild(tm) but I am SO glad that I decided to point out when eps were written by current / future show runners because some of the themes and characterisation choices have been fascinating to track so far! You're still a little ways away but we really dive into Dabb and his characterisation of Dean in ep 73
