Hey hey HEY DANMEI FANS—specifically of modern/contemporary-based danmei!!!

The gift exchange event called Neon Tangyuan (set to end Feb 12, 2025 during the Lantern Festival so don’t panic because it’s not for Christmas!) just released their treats list!!!

You don’t have to be a participant to create treats, so if you have a modern danmei you wish had more art or fics, you can try checking the prompts and see if there’s anything from your favourite underrated modern/contemporary danmei that sparks your creative fancy!! There’s Saye, e-sports novels, Kiss the Abyss, Priest novels, 188男团 novels, and more (I’ve tried to tag some of them for more exposure but I didn’t get to tag all of them)!! 👀

I’m personally not affiliated with the mod team at all, but last time I checked, they don’t have a Tumblr, so I figure I’d share about it here. :D

Ok huge question. How would Loop be like drunk? 💀 Since I do think theirs and Siffrin’s reactions to alcohol may be completely different due to Loop’s personality shift. Maybe they’d finally let themself have that fckn hug 💀 lmao

THIS IS REALLY FUNNY TO ME because one thing i have in my notes is siffrin and loop having a very mild argument over whether or not alcoholism would carry over through loops (answer being loop is probably fine as long as they're not like, Sad Drinking. which they are not allowed to do) before they go bar crawling with isa and odile

depends on mood though! i think they have a bit of a higher Maudlin Drunk Chance than siffrin, but generally i think they'd be a pretty giggly happy drunk. maybe a bit clingy. really raises their tolerance for embarrassment so yeah they'd have that fuckin hug!

from a vibes perspective, i totally understand why so many people look at keefe and go ‘this guy would be the male equivalent of a wine aunt when he’s older’. 

but. but. 

taking lore into consideration, in my heart, he’s terrified of alcohol (even if he tries really hard to hide it). because. like. his first exposure is almost guaranteed to be through cassius, and cassius canonically threw a glass extremely close to him at least once when he was, like, 8. maybe cassius wasn’t always extra nasty when he was drunk, but there’s gotta be a correlation in keefe’s brain between risking getting seriously hurt (emotionally or physically) and alcohol consumption that’s really hard for him to shake.

stobin as me and bestie (who i am now woefully ACROSS THE COUNTRY from ....) who have regular chili's dates and get disgustingly drunk off mango presidente margaritas and green tea shots. the only food ordered is the dip trio (shared) (white queso, regular queso, guac) (we are both lactose intolerant).
