Chocobros General HCs
Noctis
Doesn’t care if you fall asleep on him, because he’s passed out.
Prince of naps
Gives you the death stare when you volunteer him for early morning training with Gladio
Doesn’t snore
Second heaviest sleeper in the group
Bed head? That’s just how his hair is, it defies the laws of physics
Will teach you to fish if interested, bonus points if you already know what you’re doing
Will absolutely tease the shit out of you if you don’t like touching the bait or the fish
Prompto
He’s just living his best life
Sometimes you’re aware that you’re modeling for his photos, other times you don’t know until he shows you later on
THRASHES IN HIS SLEEP MORE THAN MAXIUM THE HORMONE
Those hands are rated E for everyone
Seriously, enjoy waking up with random bruises or from the people’s elbow to the face
Other than that he is literally a ray of sunshine and you will do anything to protect him
Scares easily, like you could just say hi and he jumps
Sometimes his obsession with chocobos scares you
Gladio
Gruff exterior, teddy bear interior
Just wants to see his loved ones succeed
Unless it’s early morning training, better hide if you dont want to get your ass handed to you by Lieutenant Hardass
Unhealthy obsession with Cup Noodle, which is weird because he’s so into fitness (fitness cup noodle in his mouth) and working out and staying healthy
HUMAN FURNANCE, which is fantastic during cold nights but is what you imagine hellfire feels like when it’s hot. Especially when it’s hot, and you got that morning sweat(death) box tent heat.
Will absolutely recommend you books if you ask, we love an avid reader
Will personalize you training to your needs, you dont even have to ask he just knows what you need
SNORES THE LOUDEST
Ignis
Def the mom of the group, makes sure you eat, drink your fluids, bandage your wounds, mends your clothes, etc
Hands down best food you will ever eat in your life, even just a plain slice of cheese pizza has never tasted so good
Bonus points if you show interest in cooking, he’s definitely the most patient teacher
Perfect tent buddy, doesn’t snore, isn’t a human furnace, in fact he just stays in one position all night
Is absolutely the lightest sleeper. You got up to pee one time and all you heard was “where are you going?” and you turned around to see him sitting upright and wide awake
You know you’ve become closer when he drops his formal way of addressing you, and instead adopts your nickname
DAD PUNS!! COME ON DOWN GET YOUR DAD PUNS FIIIIIIVE DOLLARS!!!!!!!!
At the start of the trip you loved his puns, and now you just groan along with the rest of the boys(you still love hearing them but you’re not about to stroke his ego)

Final Fantas-Tea XV I’m onto my second tin of Final Fantas-teas. [Link here.] (I haven’t actually finished my Gladdy tin, yet. But I’m eager to try all of these teas, and “variety is the spice of life” or something.) Prompto’s tea is a blend three green teas - gunpowder, calypso, and white monkey. Fitting for the sunshine child, that’s for sure. The gunpowder tea gets it’s name from the fact that the tea is rolled into tiny pellets - when placed in water, they really “bloom” and release a smokey-tea flavor. Calypso is naturally sweet because it has coconut and apple pieces added in. Finally, the white monkey tea is actually picked when the leaves are still small, and the buds haven’t opened. This keeps the appearance of “fuzzy” leaves that look like a white-haired monkey paw (according to Adagio.) So, on top of those three teas, there are also marigold petals, cornflowers, and safflowers added in (the same as Gladdy’s tea. I think there’s a theme here.) After brewing, I noticed there was a slight perfume that lingered in the air. It was almost floral, bright maybe is the word I’m looking for. Subtle, but noticeable. The flavor - it tastes like a very lightly sweetened, dry green tea. I needed a cup of cold water to drink afterward. But it’s satisfying, and very easy to drink. It would probably make for a very tasty iced tea. If you prefer your tea strong, add more leaves rather than drawing out the brew time. Green tea is picky as hell, and loves to burn. Which leads me to... Brew directions. It’s a green tea, so avoid steeping in water that’s over 180°F, unless you really enjoy bitter, burnt tea. Make sure your tea has plenty of room to “bloom” - the gunpowder tea pearls need space to fully open, so you can get the “true flavor experience.” <snort> An enjoyable cup of tea, regardless of the fact that I downed it too quick to really savor it. 8 out of 10 Chocoboys. Final FantasTeas: Gladd-tea | Promptea | Noctea | Igtea | Regi-tea | Lunatea

x
They're somewhere in Duscae, near enough to the coast that each breeze carries a hint of the sea, on another errand for another stranger to scrape together enough gil to eat tonight.
They've stopped at the last little roadside cluster of shops before the countryside stretches far and wide and wild, stocking up on what meager supplies they can afford.
Noctis has never lived this way before. He's never gone to bed hungry before. Neither has Gladio or Ignis, for all their world-weariness and the general practical knowledge and common sense they walk around with that far surpasses Noctis' own.
Ignis can budget with the best of them, and Gladio is willing to eat literally anything at any time, but Prompto is the one who gets it.
He chats at length about all the times he's had to get creative with pasta or rice because it was all that was left in his pantry. Back in high school, when he could only work part-time. When someone should have been taking care of him, and instead he was left to figure out how to stretch a tiny budget much farther than made sense.
"Come on, Iggy," he said once when they were out shopping, half-laughing. Like he thought Ignis was joking. "Fresh produce? We've got like a hundred gil between the four of us and we're totally out of restoratives."
And Ignis paused, and glanced sidelong at him. He put back the crisp, flowery vegetables and pulled out his little notebook and asked for suggestions instead. It took Prompto a few minutes to convince himsef that Ignis was taking him seriously, but now they like, bond over canned fruit.
"I'm gonna kill this catoblepas with my bare hands," Gladio says with feeling, leaning against the car. "I'm so godsdamned sick of pasta. Don't tell Iggy I said that."
Noctis rolls an energy drink between his hands absently, brow furrowed. It's tricky business, and he's not very good at it just yet, but home-made elixirs save them a ton of gil. He feels guilty when they have to spend their money on something he should be able to do himself.
"I'm telling him," he says without missing a beat. "He'll never forget, and he'll give you shit every single time you make cup noodles from now on, forever."
"I can't stand you," Gladio tells him seriously.
The bell above the door of the convenience store rings brightly, and Noctis glances up to see Ignis and Prompto walking out looking a lot more cheerful than they did going in.
Gladio's face does something very subtle and specific when he sees them, there and gone in a second, before Noctis can pin it down and figure it out.
"What are you two chucklefucks up to?" he calls over. Ignis immediately narrows a disapproving stare at him, but Prompto beams.
"I got a commission, sort of!" he says.
"A commission?" Noctis parrots, sending the energy drink back to the Armiger.
"Sort of?" Gladio adds.
"While we were checking out, the store-owner saw my camera, and seemed really into it," Prompto says. "Since, you know. It's unique."
Noctis does know. The digital camera hanging at Prompto's side has been with him since Noctis first bought it for him three years ago. He would rebuild it every so often, bowed over a collection of impossibly tiny parts spread out carefully across a dish towel at the kitchen table in Noctis' apartment. To call it unique is a bit of an understatement.
Gladio frowns, sensing where this is going a split-second before Noctis does. "And?"
"And he offered me money for it! Like, more than it's worth probably. A lot more."
"I don't see how that could be possible," Ignis says smoothly, leaning through the open window of the Regalia to put the shopping bag in the backseat. "Since your camera is clearly priceless. Which is what I explained to the man."
Noctis relaxes, glad that Ignis and Prompto have bonded over shopping to the point that neither of them want to do it unless they can go together-- because if Prompto had been in there by himself, he 100% would have sold his camera. He would have hated to do it, but he would have done it. It's like he thinks he owes his friends something just for letting him exist.
"Good looking out, Specs," Gladio says gruffly. Prompto waffles a bit, looking torn between pleased and embarrassed. Noctis decides to rescue him.
"What commission, though?" he asks.
"Oh, right. Well, he was kind of bummed about the camera, but he asked if he could see some of my photos, and Ignis said we had time-- "
If it were literally anyone else, Noctis thinks, up to and including and especially the Actual Crown Prince, Ignis would have said they were in a hurry and not to show off.
"--and he seemed really impressed! With the photos! I told him we were going to take down a catoblepas, and he asked why, and I said for some cash, I mean, clearly," Prompto adds, gesturing at the four of them and their general road grime. "So he, ah-- well he's never seen a catoblepas up close before, and he said if I could get some good pictures of it, he'd pay me for them. He gave me a figure, and it's, like, better than some of the jobs I've done for Vyv."
He's delighted, clearly. He likes feeling like he's pulling his own weight. Noctis is always so relieved when Vyv calls, not because of the inherent payday, but more because it puts this light in Prompto's eyes that Noctis would easily climb a hundred volcanic mountains for.
"Damn, Prompto, at this rate you'll have funded our whole trip," Gladio says. He doesn't ruffle his hair anymore, because Prompto actually hates that, just sort of scrunches his fingers through it instead. Prompto doesn't hate that at all. It's adorable.
Sometimes in the early morning, when he and Noctis are the last to drag themselves out of the tiny camper, they'll do their affirmations together:
"Gotta be our best today," Noctis will say, and Prompto will put on this absurdly determined expression, bed hair hanging into his eyes and cheek still creased pink from the pillow.
"Gotta get those hair scrunches," he'll reply gravely.
"What else did he say, Prompto?" Ignis says in a pleasant tone of voice that Noctis hasn't trusted since he was seven years old.
"Um! Nothing. Nothing worth repeating, anyway, you know." He is looking completely away from them now, an avoidance tactic if Noctis has ever seen one. "Woah, is that really the time? We better get going if we wanna catch that cow before it gets dark!"
He turns toward the car and runs into Gladio's arm instead.
"He suggested that Prompto's talents would be put to better use in different company," Ignis says, his voice carrying clearly over Prompto's whine of 'nooo, Iggy, let it go.' "He said that if Prompto ever got tired of our lifestyle, his door would be open."
Ah, Noctis thinks, followed by, ouch?
"Oh, fuck that guy," Gladio blurts. "Let me go talk to him."
"No!" Prompto clings to his arm, throwing all his weight into keeping Gladio in place. The Shield, who could bench Prom's entire body weight in one hand, lets himself be detained anyway and pretends to be annoyed about it. "Ignis, why are you causing trouble right now?" Prompto says frantically.
"Transparency is important in a relationship," Ignis replies.
"There's transparency and then there's causing trouble. Noct, tell them."
"I think Gladio should go talk to him," Noctis says immediately. But then Prompto looks betrayed, and it makes Noctis feel awful. "Ugh, okay. Okay. We're leaving. Ignis, Gladio, that's an executive order."
"Are you sure I can't punch him in the face?" Gladio grumbles.
"Am I-- yes, dude!" Prompto half-laughs nervously. "Very sure!"
"What if I just broke his nose a little?"
"Then that would be treason, I guess, cause Noct just said no."
It's with the standard amount of bickering and noise that they climb into the car, the top rolling up over their heads as it starts to drizzle. Ignis pulls smoothly back onto the cracked asphalt road and reaches over to turn the radio on; a peace offering. From the backseat, Noctis can see the corner of Prompto's smile, framed by a flyaway piece of yellow hair.
They live this way now, but they didn't always. Noctis used to have the run of the whole Citadel, had his own penthouse apartment, grew up dodging banquets and lavish dinners. It's not like he likes sleeping on the ground and having nothing to eat. It's not like he chose to lose his home.
But it could be worse. It's not a bad way to live, just Noctis and the people he loves best and these countless hours together. There's a lot of hard work and sometimes he goes to bed hungry but he knows he'll remember these days forever. He knows he'll miss them.
"Hey," he says, over the quiet sound of rain on the windows and the catchy synth-pop crooning out of the speakers. "Don't ever sell your camera, okay?"
Prompto says, "I mean, I wouldn't ever want to."
"Seriously," Noctis presses. He doesn't want to let it go. It feels important. "Your pictures are-- they mean the world to me, Prom. I can't even tell you."
His friend looks bewildered. He's half-turned in his seat, and his eyes stray to Gladio, then jump to Ignis, then settle back on Noctis. Whatever he's looking for, he seems to find it, because he smiles.
"Okay, weirdo," he says, "one fully-documented roadtrip, coming up. I won't leave anything out."
Noctis is counting on it.

Dynamics:
Noctics [Alpha], Gladio [Alpha], Ignis [Alpha], Prompto [Beta] it's a fight between Omega or Beta for Prompto.
Warnings: light omega depression, slight suggestions of nsfw
---------
With a yawn Noctis blinked a few times to get the blurriness out of his vision. He was the first one to wake up to his surprise, or well he thought so? Looking around he was in-between Prompto and Ignis, with Gladio behind Prompto. He was warm and content, yet something felt off? Missing? Sitting up a little more he noticed someone was missing. You there omega, rubbing the back of his neck he was puzzled he fell asleep last night with you curled up next to him and prompto… right? Why was there omega gone? How did she wake up and not wake anyone, mostly Gladio but then again. Looking at the Alpha he was drooling some with loud snores he honestly found comforting, that would explain it he was out cold.
Noctis was thinking, maybe he should get up and look for you, maybe you were already in the kitchen. You kept on how one day you would even beat Ignis to the kitchen and make everyone breakfast. Maybe that's what you were doing. With a yawn Noct started to get tired again from the warmth of his pack before he felt the lull to lay back down and pass out again.
It was a few hours and Noctis woke up again feeling Ignis move away from him. With a whine he opened his eyes looking out. Ignis yawned but bent back down, placing a kiss on the prince's head seeing him wake. "It's okay...go back to sleep" the Beta whispered to him, brushing some of his hair out of his face. Noct didn't need to be told twice and pass back out.
Ignis shuffled around the room as quietly as he could, slipping on slippers and a shirt. Stepping out of the room he glanced around the hall before walking to the kitchen. He was glad the king moved them into a larger apartment seeing as Noct formed a pack. He scented the air to try and catch your scent but it puzzled him how faint it was. He noticed you weren't in the bed this morning. "Y/n?" He called softly looking around the kitchen. No coffee, no warm scent, no sweet words or affection. Just a normal empty cold kitchen. Maybe you were in the living room?. Walking around he poked his head around the corner to look into it, nothing. Fixing his glasses he did notice one thing though, the pillows and blankets on the couch were missing. It clicked, you had to be in the nest room.
Going back to the kitchen he decided he shouldn't bother you if you were, he knew you liked to fix it once in a while, he needed to look at his phone soon and see the calendar, you had a heat coming up soon if he remembers correctly. It didn't take long for everyone else to wake up and shuffle out of the room with the smell of breakfast being cooked. Still one person didn't show up, Gladio stood next to Ignis at the stove leaning back on it as he slowly slipped his mug filled with coffee. Watched Noct just about drag Prompto to the livingroom to sleep on the couch some more. "Where's y/n?, I didn't see them when I woke up" he mumbled into his cup, turning his gaze back to Ignis. His eyes trailed over the male looking at the darker marks on his neck that Prompto and Noctis left behind the night before.
Ignis turned his head to glance at the others before he hummed with a puzzled look. "I think they might be in the nesting room the blankets and pillows are gone from the living room" Gladio nods. They all knew better then to knock on that door, recently you have been in there more and more, not to mention last time Noctis wanted to cuddle with you in it you nipped at him with a growl. It was the first time in a while you did that to him. Noctis was so heart broken that day he whined the whole day next to the door apologizing the whole time. "Is there heat coming up?" Gladio asked, reaching for his phone. Lighting up the screen he checked the date, soon his own run would start to rear it's head. This was the only time his Rut lined up with your heat for once, he would have to get to you soon about it to spend some time together, but also with the others not wanting to leave them out of it.
Ignis plated the food for everyone, placing them down on the table. "Prompto dear can you let y/n know breakfast is ready? They should be in the nesting room" Prompto nods, getting up leaving a whiny tired Nocotis on the couch. "Come on princess" Gladio said walking to the couch to mess with Noct. Prompto all but bounced to the room with a small knock on the door. "Y/n? Ignis finished breakfast, if you want I could talk him into letting you have it in here" he said rolling on his heels. It was quiet for a while, no response, no whine or growl, no chip or anything…. Pure silence. Tilting his head to the side he knocked again, his knock still light. "Y/n?" He questioned. Still no response. With a confused frown he took a deep break. "Please don't be mad at me for opening the door but I'm worried" , humbled , pushing the door open. Poking his head inside the nest room held a gloom to it, almost feeling ice cold. "Y/n?" He asked to step inside. The normal mess of the nest was folded neat and missing a few items. The shirts, and jackets all folded as well in a small pile. There rested a note on a plush chocobo Prompto got you he scented for the nest. Picking it up he started to read it before he let out a loud whine and sob.
The three at the table all froze, leaning to look down the hallway waiting for someone to come out. When no one did and just a small wail from Prompto, Gladio got to his feet followed by Ignis rushing down the hall. Noct was still groggy and confused. Prompto turned his head hearing Gladio push the door open quickly entering. Glancing around he noticed how the normally full, warm room was pale and empty almost. Ignis was quick to Prompto's side, placing a hand on his shoulder taking the paper. Prompto had a death grip on the Plush holding it to his chest, he may have been a Beta but at times they wondered as he did show some Omega traits. Gladio reached out for the sensitive Beta opening his arms letting him bury himself into his body taking in the Alphas scent.
Ignis skimmed the note quickly and frowned looking over at Gladio. Before reading it out loud. "I'm sorry, I only got in the way, I don't want to intrude anymore. It hurts to leave this, but just know I love you all… y/n '' Ignis was quiet as Noct stepped closer taking the note from his hand looking at it over and over. A low growl came from him deep in his chest as his vision blurred from the tears starting to form in his eyes. No… he couldn't let you go, they needed you… you needed them you were all bonded together. Noctis shoved the paper back to Ignis storming out of the room on the hunt for his phone. Gladio looked at Ignis seeing the heart break in his eyes as he ran his fingers in Prompto's hair as he balled his eyes out whining, his nose buried in the plush. "Ignis…" Gladio said softly. Ignis didn't answer before he nodded already knowing they needed to find you, for your health and there's.
You stared into the cup on the table with a sniffle. You shivered feeling the painful tug in your chest. Hearing a sigh you glanced to the side at the Alpha that placed his coffee down on the table pulling out a chair to join you. Sitting down he leaned on one of his hands, tired eyes looking you over trying to think of what to say. "You need to at least drink something, '' he said in a calm tone. You lifted your head more, your hair falling in your eyes. You e/c looked dull, with bags under your eyes. Looking at Cor you shook your head. "No…." Cor rubbed his eyes before running it down hisnfave with a huff. "So… you finally going to tell me why you snuck away? You know it's dangerous out at night, let alone you being the Omega in his highness pack"
Your dull eyes trailed from him to your hands messing with the bracelets you had on your right wrist. Each one made by the guys, your mates. You thought back to last night, it was a night filled with passion, love, sweat and whines. From the loving touches and sweet hands, from how Ignis helped bath you and Prompto with Gladio and Noctis nearby. From how you fell asleep in the cuddle pile, to slipping away and leaving. For the past several months you have felt detached from them. They kept leaving to the citadel for work, but it was their job and what they had to do, the distant feeling of when they came home, to how it felt like they barely talked anymore, or how it felt like they spent more time together without you. You felt like a burden to them, maybe they pitted you, or just wanted to keep you because of your second gender. You wanted to talk to them about it… but you got scared and decided to leave, slip away in the night. Sadly you didn't get far as Cor was checking on the guards and caught you. Seeing him you fell apart and balled into his arms.
Cor took you to his small apartment not wanting to poke and prod why you looked so upset, and why you were slipping away yet. He wanted to let you calm down before asking all the questions. He knew you had a strong bond with the boys,, and how much they loved you, how much they talked about you or how at times he would pick them up and they smelled heavy of you,, or how they seemed to be on cloud 9 when he stopped by.
Leaning back on the worn chair it creaked from the shift of his weight. "I…" you shook your head before moving a hand to your neck feeling a painful throb on the bonding scars before moving your hand to the other side. You could feel it, with the pack bond and their mate bond the heartbreak. They noticed, you gave a loud whine letting your head rest on the table giving an all chirp and a foul burning rubber scent. "You need them… and they need you" Cor said, placing a hand gently on your shoulder. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries. Hearing his phone roar to life he glanced at it before pressing the side button to quiet the ringer. "Y/n…" he said softly, leaning on the table taking his hand from your shoulder to yours to get you to look at him. He was quiet already seeing the lost look in your eyes, his distant you looked, how much pain was in your eyes and how you almost seemed to fade. The first onset of an Omega depression.
He quickly got to his feet moving to pick you up, placing you on the worn couch before grabbing his phone to call Ignis. Listening to the rings he moved around to grab a few blankets he had he placed them on you. Your body was shivering, with the whines and whimpers. Ignis answered quickly with a shaky voice. "Cor, it's y/n, there gone and we can't find them-" "ignis, breath y/n is here at my apartment, I would get here quickly though I think they have a Omega depression onset" in the background he could hear Gladio growl loudly and a whine from prompto. "I tried to get them to explain, but they seemed distant about it, this has to have been on for a few days, just hurry up and get here"
It didn't take them long to reach Cors apartment almost busting down the door getting inside, lucky cor left it unlocked. He sat in a chair next to the couch watching you to monitor it. Noctis wasted no time pushing past Gladio to get to you, look you over and call your name softly with purrs.
Cor let Prompto take his place to be near their omega and try to drag them out of it as Gladio joined in. Picking you up he placed you in his lap whispering your name. Ignis stood there almost frozen as Cor came to his side. "Ignis… how long have you guys not noticed this?" He asked. Ignis shook his head. "I...I didn't notice, I didn't even see any change in y/n… we have been at the citadel a lot more, yet Y/n was fine… or well we thought so" he sighed shaking his head he joined the others on the couch resting a hand on the couch cushion by Gladio leaning down to place a kiss to your head and scent you.
Everything hurt, or well it did hurt. The pain dulled to a small throb in your head. Feeling something pick you up you whined trying to move away, but your body felt like cement. It didn't take long before a familiar scent started to waft into your nose. Taking a deep breath warmed your heart and body. Gladio, one of your Alphas. Struggling to open your eyes you looked around before the blurry image of Gladio turned more crisp and formed. Next to him was Noctis almost curled on his shoulder to look at you whining and puffing out as much of his scent as he could. There was a head in your neck and a wetness, Prompto you could catch his scent right away, above him resting on Gladios head was Ignis looking down at you.
"Y/n…" Gladio said softly, feeling some tension leave his body. "Dont .... " he couldn't even get the rest of his words out before he crumbled holding you to his body as he buried his face into your neck crying and whining. Your omega kicked into gear hearing the stoic strong Alpha break. It scared you seeing him so broken, "Alpha?" You whispered, nudging him, reaching a heavy hand to his face running along his beard. "No… don't cry" you said softly, your body trying it's best to pump out a calming scent.
It took some time of cuddles and whines, mixed with scenting before you felt light again. "Y/n… why… why did you leave" Noctis asked, holding your face in his hands. "Not…. Not wanted anymore" you said softly with water eyes. "What… no never we always want you" Noctis said with a determined look on his face. "But…. You're always gone… all of you" Noctis huffed with a glare, but it wasn't for you or your pack mates, it was for the council, the idiots who always called them away from your side, making them stay long hours on end. "I'll rip those damn council jerseys to shreds' ' he snarled. "Dear… we love you more than anything" Ignis said, crouching down. He rested abandoned on you and one in prompto's hair as he held onto your middle face buried in your stomach refusing to move as be whined.
Noctis was fuming, he was going on and on about talking to his father to set it straight, how he wanted to rip them to shreds for making their omega so upset and going into a depression. His fangs bared and his scent souring. With a whine he turned hisbatrention to you as you reached out for him. All the tension in his body seemed to melt, moving to you to your calming scent. "Alpha…." You whined. "I will have a word with them when we go back" Ignis said, glancing at Cor who shrugged.
He turned to grab his jacket. "I'm going to be outside the door… just… don't start anything on my couch please I can drive you all back home when you're ready to go" with that he stepped out the door giving you all a moment. With a loud purr you buried yourself in your pack's scents with a small sniffle. "Im… im sorry" nothing more was said as they curled around you bringing you into a cuddle pile smothering you in affection. They would have to deal with the old Council layer, right now they needed to comfort their omega vowing to never let you get this upset again.

Wakey Wakey (Chocobros x Reader)
For you, your chocobro, and coffee.
↞Noctis↠
Coffee doesn’t do anything for sleepy boy Noctis.
I’m serious, it has no effect.
But does this really surprise you?
In highschool, when Noctis was struggling to stay awake studying for his astronomy midterm, Ignis suggested he drink a coffee with an extra espresso shot.
Nothing.
Then Ignis brewed another cup, this time with 2 espresso shots.
Nothing.
3 shots
No change.
6 shots
The prince’s eyes are still drooping.
8 shots.
And now his head is lolling to the side.
Ignis’ limit was 10 shots as he did not want to send the boy into a caffeine coma.
But to his surprise, and utter shock, when he returned to Noctis’ bedroom 15 minutes later the prince was knocked out and drooling over his textbook.
The future adviser didn’t know whether to be impressed or utterly concerned.
No matter how early or late you wake up, you will always rise earlier than the prince on most days.
So needless to say 99.9% of the time you are getting your own coffee.
If the Insomnia weather isn’t horrible, you prefer to slip on your sneakers and walk to the nearest chain coffee shop.
The gentleman he is, Noctis is ever insistent he pay for your coffee even when he’s fully immersed in slumber.
Now equipped with a steaming americano, you waddle back to your shared apartment, chasing away the frosty autumn air with the steam of your drink.
Crawling back in bed laptop in hand, you have a chill morning until you have to get ready for class.
Noctis’ arms are immediately around your waist like there is a magnetic force drawing him to your warmth through his unconscious state.
↞Prompto↠
Definitely a coffee drinker, although the bouncing bean doesn’t need anymore energy than he already does.
In fact, you have to constantly limit his caffeine intake because when he has too much, he becomes too much.
His tolerance level is the polar opposite to Noctis; load more than one espresso shot into that boy and he is a vibrating mess.
He’s even more talkative than usual, touchier than usual, and wants nothing more than to drop everything and go out on some spontaneous adventure.
He is the epitome of a distraction.
Not that you would mind these things otherwise, but right now the two of you are trying to push through mountains of readings for your college classes.
And his foot keeps accidentally kicking you in the shin, to which he responds with profuse apologies and sheepish grins.
On road trips he will pull off to cute cafes along the side of the road. He knows that you will be needing your second cup for the day around 4 pm and plans accordingly.
He definitely did not research it ahead of time and will vehemently front that it is just a coincidence.
Knows your order by heart, even if you have multiple orders.
“You want an affogato right Y/N? You know, I affogetto where I am when I’m with you.”
The affection (albeit a chuckle at his cheesiness) that swells in your heart drowns out the groans of your friends as they eagerly await to jump back into the regalia with their drinks.
His thoughtfulness just makes the trip all the more special.
↞Ignis↠
Let’s just say the two of you are a match made in coffee bean heaven.
He wholeheartedly supports your coffee addiction as he completely understands the need for caffeine.
The two of you go on an immense amount of cafe dates, to the point that you have entertained the idea of opening a coffee shop from the sheer amount of time you spend in these establishments.
This is partly because being a college student calls for lots of cafe time but also because the two of you just love the atmosphere.
You have a favorite coffee shop a few blocks from your university that you have become regulars at.
When Ignis finishes work at the Citadel he pops back to the apartment to change and grab any extra work he needs to tackle before meeting you at your favorite place.
Cafe Ignis is best Ignis.
Sure you love his silken dress shirts and custom tailored (and bless the six just the right amount of tight) dress pants, but you are ever love to see the other side of the crown’s advisor.
Seeing your Iggy in his knit sweater and jeans is a truly delightful experience.
And although you both are swamped with work, the atmosphere allows you to unwind and just bask in the presence of one another.
Every so often he brushes a loving hand over yours.
Or a chaste kiss to your cheek when he gets up to use the restroom.
His head rests snuggly atop of your shoulder when you ask him to proofread a particular paragraph in your essay.
Knows whenever you need a refill.
Before you can drink the last drop of the golden liquid, he’s already up and ready to order you another grande cappuccino.
And he will stay with you the entire time even if he finishes early because he knows how stressful work can get.
The two of you should really find a 24-hour coffee shop.
Could Ignis ask for anything better? I think not
↞Gladiolus↠
Not a big coffee drinker as he is a strong believer that caffeine will mess with his hard earned physique.
Supports your addiction but will never admit that he has discreetly tried to get you to cut down on your dosage.
Will follow you to your favorite coffee shop after your morning run with no complaints.
Though he will tease you about how you should have drank the caffeine beforehand because you ran so slow.
“Shouldn’t you be drinking water instead?”
To which he gets a playful jab in the ribs.
“Coffee is my water.”
To cool off from the work out the two of you take a detour through a park, the smell of hazelnut mingling with amber gazes and warm embraces.
If you decide to skip the morning run, Gladdy will never fail to bring you a cup back on his way home.
Who could say no to awakening to the tantalizing smell of vanilla and featherlight touches.
Akin to Ignis, Gladiolus is never opposed to chilling with you at a coffee shop.
He loves it actually, because it's an excuse to do two things; read and be with his love.
The shield is a busy boy so moments like those are ones he cherishes.
He brings his book, you bring your homework.
Prompto isn't the only one who is good at photo taking.
Gladiolus is the master of sneaky photos.
He adores the way your brow lightly crinkles when your wrestling with what is the angular acceleration of the disk if its mass…
The candidness of the image brings a genuine smile to his face and roaring laughter from his chest when you struggle to confiscate the image from across the table.
Something that he would never admit to, though, is sometimes he does indeed sneak a few espresso shots in before a sparring match.
He knows you would tease the hell out of him if you knew.
He is right.

FFXV | Headcanons | Meeting after 10 years
Request: How about HC for the chocobros where they see there S.O (you can choose if they were dating,engaged, or married) about 10 years (they were separated during the dark years and they meet about the light comes back) [by Anon]
A/N: Oh, that’s soooo good! ;-; These are all set at the end of Episode Ignis, the only TRUE ENDING, YOU CAN’T CHANGE MY MIND! >:( Hope you enjoy! ♥
Pairing(s): Gladiolus Amicitia x reader; Ignis Scientia x reader; Noctis Lucis Caelum x reader; Prompto Argentum x reader
+++
• Gladio was a mess. You were his safe haven when he lost his father. You grounded him. You kept him together. And now that he lost Noctis... he lost you too. It was truly the worst thing that could have happened.
• He hoped you were safe. He knew that you could handle yourself in a fight... but he’d much rather fight at your side still. Of course he kept looking for you, although he had to realize that it was practically impossible to find you in this mess, the darkness with daemons lurking everywhere.
• He tries not to let guilt eat at him. You were both part of the crownsguard and when he left with Noctis to Altissia and Insomnia fell he knew that you couldn’t just drop everything and go after him. You had a duty to fulfill, just like him. Still, he had hoped that you two would have seen each other again before the darkness took over the world.
• It was shortly after the first sunrise in ten years that he heard your voice. That voice that always stuck to him during those trying times. That voice that would still talk to him in his memories. “Gladio..?” You whispered as your eyes fell onto the familiar figure in front of you.
• Gladio wasn’t one to become emotional. But he’d be damned if he didn’t shed a few tears when he engulfed you in a warm yet bone-crushing hug. He couldn’t speak. He could only hold you and make silent promises to never let you go ever again.
• Ignis was a very rational man. Calm and collected at all times. Did that mean that he didn’t freak out every now and then? No. He just did it without anybody noticing. His form of freaking out was drinking tea instead of his beloved Ebony or eating Cup Noodles instead of cooking something himself.
• Of course, the people that knew him best noticed his behavior. And they knew why he wasn’t quite himself. First his eyesight, then Noctis and now you - his wife for not even two months. Life truly didn’t treat him kindly. It only seemed to take from him and not give a thing back.
• Ignis didn’t let it show, put on a brave face - but he was hurting. Hurting because he felt like a burden since he was blind. Hurting because he felt like a failure since they lost Noctis. Hurting because... he lost you. Well, he knew you weren’t really lost. You were hidden somewhere in a bigger city - safe and sound like you’re supposed to be. Unfortunately that also meant that Ignis had no chance of finding you in this mess.
• In the end though, his patience was well rewarded. After Noctis brought back the light, Ignis had a purpose again. And while he was so busy with being the King’s advisor again, time was flying by. Days turned into weeks, the city of Insomnia became a lively place again... and somewhere among those many groups that returned home... there was you. With a little travel companion. A girl, maybe... 10 years old?
• Ignis had cried openly before. His friends had seen it. You had seen it. He knew that nobody would laugh at him or blame him for that. And still, all of a sudden he felt so vulnerable when he held you in his arms again and sobbed like a little child. Speaking of little child... your daughter cried no less when she finally got to meet her father after all this time, clinging to him like her life depended on it. You were glad to finally be home again. The three of you had some serious catching up to do.
• Watching Noctis disappearing into the crystal... was tough to say the least. You tried to help him, tried to stop it... but eventually he just vanished into thin air. You were left behind, gaping into a black crystal, unable to fight back the sobs that escaped your throat.
• Ten years were a long time. Even longer when you didn’t know if (and: if yes) when a loved one would return. You spent your days (or endless nights rather) doing what you did best. Fight monsters, heal injuries, make people smile as best as you could. It wasn’t always easy, but somehow you managed.
• Gladio, Ignis and Prompto made the situation more bearable. At least you didn’t have to fight alone. You still had your new found family, even if it wasn’t complete at the moment.
• The day Noctis returned to the four of you felt surreal. You couldn’t believe it. It was really him climbing out of the little truck. He looked etheral. Older, yes. But no less beautiful than you remembered him. And for a fraction of a second you wondered... did he remember you? What happened the last ten years inside that crystal? Did he remember anything?
• His smile answered your unspoken questions, his embrace erased all the doubts in your mind, his kiss holding all the bottled up emotions. “Just one.” He mumbled against your lips. “One more duty to fulfill. And then I am all yours again.”
• Prompto was all over the place. First he was kidnapped, tortured, learned who (or rather what) he really was, suffered a minor existential crisis, lost his best friend... and now you were gone, too.
• All he wanted was to find you. You were always there to build him up, to support him, to boost his confidence, along with Noctis. He wasn’t sure he could manage without one of you - let alone with both of you gone. Scratch that, he was certain, he could not.
• But he had to. For you. For Noctis. For himself. He couldn’t always rely on other people, could he? He had to become his own support, his own boost. Even if it was difficult. But then again, there were also still Gladio and Ignis who became very good friends and tried to fill the holes you and Noctis left behind.
• Prompto was full of so many emotions when he found you again once the darkness was gone. He was so proud. Of you, for surviving those ten gruesome years. Of him, for becoming more independent and confident. Of the two of you, for still being together in a way... even though you haven’t seen each other in so long. Your bond was still there. Invisible but strong.
• The man Prompto became was different in a way. He looked older, he seemed calmer and more confident. But he was still a goofball. His lashes still tickled your skin when he peppered kisses all over your face to hear your melodious laugh. His freckled were still as gorgeous as you remembered them. He was still blushing so quickly. You two had to make up for quite some time. But now that everything was back the way it was supposed to be... you had all the time in the world, didn’t you?

Chocobros spin the bottle! This is your prompt! Secret plot to get Gladnis and Promptis to happen. Love your stuff!
[Thank you so much! I hope you like this! It was fun to write and I decided to make it a bit silly]
“I have a great game for us to play,” Prompto said with a grin on his face. “Spin the bottle!”
“No way,” Ignis replied immediately. Noctis let out a groan, and Gladio grinned as he put his arm on Prompto’s head and used it as an armrest.
“What? Worried you’ll have to kiss the prince?” Gladio asked with a laugh. He knew what Prompto was up to, and he knew the plan. “I guess you’ll end up turning the frog back into his princely status then.”
“Hey!” Noctis objected, his cheeks turning just the slightest bit red. “I’m sure Ignis doesn’t care about kissing me. Right, Ignis?”
Ignis let out a clearly frustrated sigh, putting his hands on his hips. “Fine. But don’t blame me when you all wake up tomorrow morning in the same tent thoroughly embarrassed about what has occurred. I swear, we get one drop of alcohol in your bloodstream and you turn into a kiss monster.”
Prompto giggled at that, his cheeks flushed bright pink. Ignis did have a point there. It was no secret that when Gladio happened to convince Prompto to drink, which was rarely, that he became far less inhibited than usual. But it was Noctis who really turned into the kissing fiend, and right now he had definitely drank more than any of them. He wasn’t drunk, but just bubbly enough that Noctis somehow thought that Prompto came up with a good idea. Then again, Noctis had a tendency to think that Prompto had good ideas like this without the alcohol. They were both idiots in love with each other and unable to say or do anything about it.
“Eh it’ll be fine,” Noctis said absentmindedly as he sat down on the ground next to the campfire. There was just enough space for the four of them to join him. “Bring it on.”
Gladio sat next to Prompto on one side and Ignis on the other. Noctis was next to Prompto and Ignis. This was going to either go perfectly, like Prompto had planned, or it was going to end up a tragic mess. Ignis clearly was not particularly interested in the game as Prompto began, spinning the bottle until it landed on Gladio.
Prompto giggled as Gladio grinned at him, but it was Noctis’s obvious jealousy that set them off. Before they could even do anything, there was a shuffling and Noctis’s leg shot out, hitting the bottle and sending it spinning once more until it landed on him. He looked at Gladio and Prompto with a pleased expression, clearly not too far gone into his cups to forget his desire for Prompto. Prompto blushed brighter than ever before, and he eyed Noctis in consideration.
“Looks like it landed on me,” Noctis said with a stupid amount of bravado, even for a prince. Ignis eyed Gladio, who only grinned at him and shrugged. “So I guess you have to kiss me, Prompto.”
“F-Fine,” Prompto said when Gladio and Ignis didn’t object. He turned to Noctis, his heart beating wildly in his chest. It was obvious to anyone who looked at him that he wanted it to happen from the start. Nervously, he leaned forward and planted a small kiss on Noctis’s lips. “There!”
Noctis wasn’t having it. He put a hand on the back of Prompto’s head and pulled him into a kiss, deep and passionate. It surprised Prompto, but he wasn’t going to necessarily fight it. Instead, he found himself melting into Noctis’s kiss as their tongues grazed each other, and he closed his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Noctis’s shoulders. Noctis’s hands traced down to Prompto’s waist, pulling him into a hug as Prompto excitedly straddled him and continued to make out with him.
“I guess we might as well play the game too then,” Gladio offered as Prompto and Noctis were suddenly lost in each other’s arms. Ignis sighed in exasperation as he looked at Gladio.
“Gladio,” Ignis said in annoyance. “We’ve been dating for two years already.”
“So is that a no?” Gladio asked with another grin.
Ignis couldn’t help but crack a smile. “I never said that.”
“Come here, then.” Gladio opened his arms for Ignis, and a moment later his boyfriend was kissing him. It didn’t take long, but it worked. And maybe Noctis and Prompto would finally stop pining after each other so much.

As an official member of the C.D.D.S. (a.k.a. Chocobro Daemon Destroyers Squad, as dubbed by Prompto), Gladio has a pretty flexible relationship with the word “normal.” However, even he has to admit that nothing about the current investigation is anywhere near the realm of normal.
First there’d been that weird purple envelope with the heavy wax seal. Inside was a letter from one Ardyn Izunia, written in flowing script and kindly soliciting their services at Zegnautus Keep—an old castle, located somewhere in the distant mountains of Niflheim. This was also weird. Sure, the C.D.D.S. may have been well-known exorcists in Lucis, but they weren’t exactly world-renowned. On top of that, Izunia claimed to be an acquaintance of Lord Regis, yet Noct didn’t know him. Gladio didn’t know him. Neither did Ignis, or any of Lord Regis’s old acquaintances. And when Prompto did a websearch, it came up empty.
That probably should have been a sign, Gladio thinks, striding through the castle halls. He glances at the giant portrait of Izunia smirking down at him, framed by cobwebs and moldering tapestries. Its eyes seem to follow Gladio as he passes, its smile shriveling in the shadows. The real Izunia had been just as disconcerting when they’d met him. But Noct had been in a slump since his father’s death. Noct had been depressed. That meant Ignis and Prompto were depressed too, and this seemed like a good chance to get away from it all. Besides, Noct was curious. He wanted to know more about this mysterious acquaintance of his father. So they stuck around, and when they were unexpectedly joined by the Nox Fleuret siblings, who Izunia had also commissioned—well, they figured the more the merrier and tried to be on guard.
What catchy name will Prompto give this particular case, Gladio wonders? Something about hubris, maybe. Something about old gods. Before anything specific can crystallize, Gladio is already at the set of massive, iron-laid doors. They groan as he yanks them open and steps into the castle library.
Ignis is still exactly where Gladio left him—hunched over a desk, hidden behind a stack of books. “How are they?” he asks, not even bothering to look up.
“Stable,” Gladio answers, “at least for now. The curse on Ravus is spreading. Luna still isn’t responding. Cindy’s looking after them.”
“And still no sign from Noctis?”
“The planchette hasn’t moved in the last half hour.”
“Dammit!” Ignis slams the book closed and tosses it aside. He makes a steeple with his hands, pinching the bridge of his nose. “We should never have come here.”
Gladio draws up behind Ignis’s chair. In the dim light, he can see loose papers full of obscure runes, time-weathered pages penned in tightly-scrawled ink. If this were a normal gig, they’d have wrapped everything up by now. They’d have subdued the spirit, and if that wasn’t possible, exorcised it. The client would be shoving fistfuls of money at them and weeping tears of joy. Ignis would have food on the grill. Gladio would be setting up camp for the night. Prompto would be complaining about EMF detectors and other technical jargon while uploading the latest footage to their blog. And Noct would have been loafing around, watching all of them with a contented smile, asking when dinner would be ready.
Gladio gives Ignis’s shoulder a squeeze. “What’s done is done—no use beating ourselves up over it. We’ve gotta keep our heads clear if we're gonna help Noct.”
Ignis sighs heavily. “You’re right. I’m sorry, Gladio. I lost myself for a moment.”
“Don’t sweat it. Now are you sure you haven't found anything?”
Ignis drops his hands to leaf through a book. “Nothing about those marks on Ravus’s arm, or what could be strong enough to entrap the most powerful medium in Tenebrae.”
“What about the portal?”
“No definitive answers, but nothing that contradicts our initial theories, either. Noct and Prompto are most likely caught between the two realms.”
“Which means Luna’s still our best shot at reaching them. Damn.”
“About that . . .” Ignis shifts in his seat, turning to face Gladio fully. “There is one thing—an old tome, written in Solheim runes.”
Gladio perks up. “You think there’s something in there that could help us get to Noct?”
“Possibly. There is . . . a spell.” Ignis removes a book from the stack. It’s dark and fat. Any markings on the cover have been completely worn away. “A ritual, to be precise. It enables the caster to send spiritual energy to a soul trapped between Eos and the spirit realm.”
“All right! I knew we could count on you, Iggy.”
Gladio claps him on the shoulder. Ignis slumps under the weight. “I’m afraid it’s not that simple.”
There’s something about Ignis’s expression that Gladio can’t put his finger on, but he doesn’t have time to parse it. "Which components are we missing? Anything we can substitute?"
"We have all the necessary items. It’s just, this spell—well, it requires two people."
Gladio nods. "Cool, so we'll tag team it out."
Ignis winces. "I really wouldn't be so quick to say that if I were you."
"Why? Does it require a sacrifice?"
"Of sorts.”
Gladio raises a brow. Ignis closes his eyes. When he opens them, it’s with steely resolution.
“It's a book of sex magic, Gladio."
---
It takes less than five minutes to move all the furniture, less than ten to finish drawing the array around the bed. After all, Ignis isn’t the high witch of the Lucis Caelum clan for nothing. He lights the candles with a snap of his fingers while Gladio sets out the bowls of sylleblossom petals and animal fat—six in total, one for each of the Astrals. Then both of them step into the array.
Gladio removes his jacket. He suppresses a shiver as Ignis draws his thumb along his chest and abdomen, leaving behind a maroon sigil. He stays very still as Ignis unbuttons his own shirt, and when it’s his turn to copy the sigil, he tries very hard not to stare at Ignis’s pecs, or the freckles on his stomach.
Ignis clears his throat. His entire face is red, from his neck to the roots of his hair. “Next we present the offerings. If you don’t mind, I can go first.”
“Be my guest.”
Ignis reaches into the pocket of his trousers. “This pendant was given to me by Lord Regis when I was still a child, in honor of my appointment as the high witch’s apprentice. I have since kept it with me out of respect for the Lucis Caelum line as well as for good fortune. I offer it today as a token of gratitude and good will to the Astrals and to the elements, that they may grant Lord Noctis their aid.”
He sets the pendant in one of the bowls of sylleblossoms (Gladio definitely does not admire the muscles in his shoulders and back when he bends over).
Gladio reaches into their satchel of supplies to remove his own offering. “I brought cup noodles.”
Ignis stares at him.
“Um.” Gladio shifts uneasily. “These delicious noodles are for the Astrals, so that—”
“Just put it down,” Ignis snaps. “In one of the bowls.” He waits until Gladio is finished. When he speaks again, his voice is somewhat softer. “Gladio, before we go any further, are you sure about this?”
Gladio squares his shoulders. "You said it should be the two people closest to the target of the spell. Out of all those conscious and present, that's you and me."
"I know, but you shouldn’t feel obligated. There may be other ways. I could keep looking. I could—”
"Ignis. I want to do this."
Ignis exhales deeply, with a sort of resignation. "Very well."
"What about you?” Gladio asks. “Are you good? If not, me and Cindy are pretty tight. She hasn't known Noct for that long, but maybe if I talk to her, she and I could—"
"No.”
The response is forceful—loud, even. Ignis pauses to adjust his glasses.
“The principal caster should be an experienced magic user,” he continues calmly, “which is me. And if it has to be anyone, I'd rather it be the two of us."
Gladio decides not to read too much into that last statement, but he does feel a little smug.
"So," he asks, "what next?"
"Eager, are we?" Ignis remarks dryly. "Just stand there, for now. And follow my lead."
He turns to retrieve two goblets from the bedside table and hands one to Gladio. The liquid is fragrant with cloves and other herbs. Next, Ignis links their arms together, so that they're each holding the goblet before the other's lips.
"Repeat after me," Ignis says. "Ic bescence þe mīn ferþ . . ."
Gladio repeats, understanding only every other word. But he trusts Ignis, so when the goblet tilts toward his lips, he drinks until it's drained.
"Now then." Ignis's entire torso is flushed now, and Gladio is sure it has little to do with the wine. "I suppose this is the part where we go to bed."
"If that's what the spell says," Gladio concedes.
The mattress creaks as they both take a seat on the edge. Ignis perches very stiffly, arms and legs drawn close to his body.
"So." Gladio leans back on one hand, stretches his legs—pretends to be much more relaxed than he really feels. "How specific are the details of this spell?"
"Any act of intimacy will suffice," Ignis says quietly. "So long as the fertile essences are spilled by both parties."
Well then, Gladio thinks. It shouldn't hurt to look, right? He is, after all, an expert in looking at Ignis—though mostly through stolen glances, or carefully neutral gazes. Now he lets his eyes roam freely. Ignis is slender without his shirt—his shoulders broad and sinewy, his waist narrow. Myriad freckles and moles pattern his skin. Gladio wants to reach out and run his hands over every single one. Instead, his eyes snap up to Ignis's face. Ignis stares back, expression inscrutable. He leans forward, and Gladio inches toward him, arm raising instinctively as he prepares to—
"I've never done this before," Ignis blurts.
Gladio falls back. He blinks, then scratches his head with a chuckle. "Yeah, this is my first occult sex ritual, too."
"No, I mean, I've never done this with anyone, ever—being intimate."
Oh.
"Is that a problem?" Ignis presses.
"Of course not," Gladio says. "I'm just . . ."
Ignis's lips curve in a rueful smile. "Surprised? The role of the supreme high witch doesn't allow much time for romantic escapades. Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced. I hope it won't be too unenjoyable for you."
He says this with his typical flat, sarcastic affect, but there's something tender underneath. Something dark and edgy.
"I'm sure I'll enjoy it," Gladio assures him. "You're perfect, Iggy. Everything you do is perfect. But are you really okay with this? Kind of an intense first time."
"I'm okay with it. Actually, I . . ."
He pauses, gaze darting to the floor. Gladio waits with entirely feigned patience. By the time Ignis looks back up, his entire body feels like it's on fire.
"I've always wanted it to be you," Ignis says.
A raspy, trembling breath escapes Gladio's lips. With it goes the last few tattered shreds of his composure. "Iggy. Fuck, I—I'm gonna take such good care of you. I want to make you feel good, Iggy."
Ignis takes Gladio's hands and guides them to his waist. "I know," he says. "I trust you."

Headache
✦ Ignis Scientia x Carmen Mirabile (+ Chocobros & Honey) . : Word count: 1058 . : Warnings: SFW. Romance. Original Character.
Summary: Carmen, who is dealing with a strong headache, decides to stay indoors instead of getting to enjoy the beach. Ignis joins her to keep her company and help her feel better.
☀️ - 💋 - ☀️ - 💋 - ☀️ - 💋 - ☀️ - 💋 - ☀️ - 💋 - ☀️ - 💋 - ☀️
Galdin Quay had one of the most amazing and relaxing views in all Eos. Never ending blues and clear sands, the alluring smell of seafood nearby and also the nice accomodations were a luxury they got to enjoy so little...
...and a great headache kept Carmen from enjoying the most lovely evening on the beach.
With her head pounding, she retorted to staying inside their suite, barely looking over a magazine that was there as she waited for the medicine to kick in. She didn't want to lay down, too stubborn, thinking it would pass soon enough to be dozing off in the middle of the day.
With a grumpy sigh, she closed her eyes and tried to relax. In the nice silence that accompanied her in that room, she tried to focus on the whistle of the wind outside, the murmur of the sea and the laughter. She imagined the hard volleyball battle Prompto had set up with Honey, probably against Gladio and Noct. She could hear the blonde's cheers and complains, as well as Gladio's victorious yells.
The tambourine and drums parading inside her head made her groan.
"Love, how are you feeling?"
Carmen heard the click of the door and her eyes opened to gaze tiredly at the dark silluette aproaching. She gave Ignis a weak smile and rested her head on her hand as she propped an elbow on the table, sighing at the nice fragrance of the tea he brough in with him.
"My head is pounding~", the last word was dragged and the man nodded empathetically, sitting in front of her in the small table. "I'll birth an Astral through my head."
Ignis chuckled at that, shaking his head in amusement.
"Have you taken some medicine?", he asked softly, mindful of how his voice could aggravate her headache.
A hand came to squeeze and caress the one she had over the magazine, the other brushing hair out of her eyes. Carmen nodded and straightened, thanking him for the cup of tea he had graciously brought and moved closer for her to drink. A sip of it had her breathing deeply while her mouth palated the flavors carefully. The cookies on the side were a nice touch.
Ignis was a lovely, considerate man, and while she felt a little guilty for having him miss the fun while being there accompanying her, she deeply appreciated him looking after her.
Ignis let her sip the tea slowly, continuing caressing the back of her hand with an idle thumb, making small comments about how the match was playing out. A particular comment made her almost snort, as he described how both teams had made the other literally eat sand at one point or another and how victory dances became a thing to celebrate each point won.
"It's a shame you are not participating", Carmen added, setting the teacup on it's saucer. "It would have been quite the sight to see you dance over and over again."
He simply squeezed her hand and smiled.
"My partner is not able to play and dance with me for now."
Ignis "Smooth" Scientia, making Carmen blush effectively without much fanfare.
They kept the conversation light and simple, focusing on more mundane things than anything else, and Ignis kept a sharp eye on her every expression and movement. As the chat progressed and Carmen kept sneaking gentle pressures to her temples, Ignis noticed how it could work on her favor if done properly rather than just a sporadical massage.
"Does acupressure help?"
Carmen pondered over his question, her eyes flinching at the bright light that suddenly engulfed the room as a cloud passed and stopped hiding the sun. Closing her eyes and focusing only on the pressure helped a lot. She nodded a couple of times.
"Yes. It eases the pounding a little."
"Give me a moment, then."
Carmen felt and heard him rise from his spot rather than properly see him. The rustling of a bag, then the curtains drawing close and the light changing in the room made her take a peek at what he was doing. Ignis approached the table once more, cleared from the teacup and the saucer, and Carmen saw him slowly take off his gloves. The motions were simple, economical, and drew her eyes in inmediately. The atmosphere was quite the intimate one and made her heart pound a little quicker.
Ignis took his time to unscrew the small vial of peppermint essecial oil Honey kept in her belongings and was meant for the party to use. After effectively diluting it, he carefully wetted the pads of both pointer and middle fingers of both hands with it and rubbed them slowly to warm them up. The fragrance alone made her shoulders relax.
"Allow me", Ignis said slowly, his voice dropping some more as he scooted closer.
Carmen only combed her hair back behind both ears and moved a touch forward, easing her arms over the table top and closing her eyes gently.
The pressure came, slow and steady, as his fingers rubbed over her temples in gentle motions mimicking a circle. The massage distracted her and pleasantly lulled her. There was no other sound besides the shuffling of fabric and her murmured noises of relieve as the tingling sensation of the oil did its magic. At some point, Carmen noticed how the pressure wasn't as strong as before on her temples but somehow there was something near her lips. Warm and present. Tentatively, she pressed forward and was met with welcoming lips and a soft noise from his part.
Of course, the massage was no more, as the oil was mostly absorbed by her skin, Ignis focused on how gentle and lazy they could kiss without disrupting their postures too much. As they moved a little bit closer, Carmen snickered softly at how her nose bumped his glasses. They pulled back then, Ignis to take them off and Carmen to gaze tenderly at him as she craddled his face with one hand and guided him back once more.
"Feeling any better?", Ignis asked almost over her lips and Carmen had to resist the temptation to kiss him again.
"Yes... Stay?"
Ignis' reply came only after he properly rested his forehead on hers.
"Of course."
Sometimes the best medicine was indeed love.

Oops
Request for @moonwaif -
So, if you still wanna write ffxv stuff, how about chocobros and/or any characters of your choosing accidentally spilling their drink on their crush during the first date?
Chocobros + Lunafreya BET
Gladiolus-
He was nervous. He was beyond nervous. So when his brain finally processed that he spilled his cola on you, he was horrified.
"I'm- shit I'm so sorry." He fumbled to get some napkins from the end of the table before stopping when he heard you laugh.
He turned to look at you, cocking an eyebrow.
"Gladi, it's okay." You giggled. "Really."
"But, but your pants and your shirt."
"I can shower when I get home. I also own a washing machine." You picked up a few napkins, and started by wiping the seat around you. Gladiolus, of course, began to help.
"I'll get this. You get your shirt."
You smiled widely at him and started wiping at your shirt.
"Dab, don't wipe."
"What?"
"Dab at your shirt, don't wipe it."
You snorted as you switched techniques and he looked up once more.
"What?"
"Nothing." You teased. "I just didnt know you were a mom."
"I'm the best mom."
And that's how you knew, he was the one.
Prompto-
Baby boy. Precious. Must protect. He almost cried.
It happened as he was talking. When he's passionate about something he tends to swing his arms and talk with his hands and oop, there goes his milkshake.
You jumped slightly and looked down, gasping as the cold drink hit your thighs.
"Oh my gods, oh my gods- uh- um- "
"Ooh, that's cold." You grabbed a bunch of napkins.
"I'm so sorry." He picked up his cup and pushed the napkins towards you. His eyes were watering.
"Prom, it's okay," you smiled. "I swear."
"I'm sorry." He whispered again.
You leaned forward and kissed his cheek. His face flushed a dark red and he attempted to cover his face while you ordered him another shake.
Noctis-
He wans't flailing like Prom. No. He just accidently moved the table and the whole cup of water just fell on your lap.
While he looked on horrified you just giggled, the giggling turned to genuine laughter which lead to snorts.
"Oh my gods- (Y/N) I'm so sorry."
You only waved him off, trying to calm down.
"Why are you laughing."
"Your face when it fell into my lap." You smiled. "You looked horrified."
"Well- wouldn't you?"
"Yes, no doubt. I'd probably cry I'm all honesty but that's beside the point."
"I'm still sorry." He mumbled.
"Oh, don't be. It's just water, it'll dry."
He smiled at you, watching as you pushed your water to him. "Drink up, I'll get another."
Lunafreya-
She thinks you're going to get up and go. She's frozen in place and you wipe at the water on your shirt.
"Oh gods-" She mumbled. "I am so so sorry. I didn't- I didn't mean to, I don't know what happened."
"Princess, it's alright, I assure you." You smiled, taking her hand.
"But your shirt.."
"Will dry, Lunafreya. It's no trouble at all. I promise."
"I'm still sorry,"
You hummed, squeezing her hand. "However, if it won't bother you, may I use your shawl? My shirt is white ."
"Ye-Yes of course."

Headcanons for the chocobros meeting their future child (4yrs old) with the reader even though they're not even together yet. Each kid has a different quirk like Notcis's kid just instantly falls asleep when held longer than 2 minutes by him, Prompto's is terrified of Chocobo's due to their father's obsession, Gladio's can read way above their reading level, and Ignis's already drinks ebony due to an accident and loves cooking with him! please and thank you! and congratulations on the wedding!!!
Thank you so much, Anon! 😘
Let’s be honest, these are tiny fics, not hcs lol.
There are even some bonuses! I hit some writer’s block and couldn’t think of what to do for the other characters, today. If anyone wants me to do Ardyn, Cor, Aranea, and/or Nyx, just let me know.

Scene: Shiva visits each of the following characters individually in their sleep. She wants to show them the future they’re fighting for, and that happens to include a child. In this dream, they get to interact with their future child, even if neither will remember it when they awaken.
Noctis
His child instantly falls asleep when held longer than 2 minutes by him
Like, they can sleep anywhere.
But he loves it.
He stands there, just holding them.
Their little arms around his neck.
It warms Noct’s heart that they WANT to be held by him.
In the dream, there’s no hesitation.
The child sees him and walks right up to him, arms outstretched.
Noctis isn’t sure what to do with kids, normally.
He’s one of those “I’ll break your baby” types.
But this kid is easy.
They simply want to cuddle.
Noctis absolutely loves it.
He stands there, bouncing the child lightly and petting their hair.
Their every sound and movement is adorable to him.
Eventually, he would sit down and nap with them.
When Shiva returns to him, beckoning him to the waking world,
Noctis sets the child down in a bed,
It rubs its eyes with little fists, but goes back to sleep.
“Sleep well, little one. I’ll see you when you wake.”
Prompto
His child is terrified of Chocobo’s due to their father’s obsession.
Prompto appears in a child’s bedroom in the dream.
It’s brightly lit, with stuffed animals everywhere.
A little child looks up at him from the floor.
They’re playing with toy vehicles.
“Er…hey there!” Prompto greets.
They’re silent, shyly looking up at him.
Prompto would sit down next to them, asking about their toys.
Eventually they play together.
It doesn’t take long after that before Prom has the child in giggling fits from his sound effects.
“But you know what this game really needs?”
Prompto gets up, looking around the room.
Any child of his HAS to have tons of these.
It takes him awhile, but he finds what he’s looking for stuffed in a cupboard.
“A Chocobo!” He presents the yellow plush with jubilence.
The child looks horrified.
They start to cry!
“Oh no! OH NO! Oh no!”
Prompt is panicking!
He made a kid cry!
His kid!
“What’s wrong? Oh, don’t cry, it’s ok! See?”
He trys to bring the plush closer to the child, but they scoot across the floor away from him.
Finally, it dawns on Prompto.
“Look! No more chocobo! It’s gone!”
The child still has tears in their eyes and looks scared.
But they let Prompto get close.
“Come’ere,” he says, sitting on the floor.
They come over and cuddle up next to him.
“What’s wrong?”
“Chocobo’s are scary!” The child states matter of factly.
“They’re what?!” Prompto is honestly shocked.
“They’re mean and they don’t like me!” The child is full on pouting now.
“Why do you think they don’t like you?”
“Because they peck at me.”
Prompto can’t help but laugh. He was scared of things as a child, too.
“I’ll tell you what, how about we find you a really really nice one.”
“No! I don’t want one.”
“Ok, ok, no chocobos.”
Well, there goes Promp’s dreams of owning a chocobo farm.
But this kid might be worth it.
“I want a moogle!” The child pipes up.
Prompto laughs.
“You like moogles? Tell me more!”
Prompto listens as the child regales him with “facts” about moogles and how much they love them.
He loves their enthusiasm.
When it’s time to leave, the child gives their (future) father a big hug.
Prompto is shocked at first, but hugs them back.
“Take care, bud. I’ll see you soon.”
Ignis
His child already drinks ebony due to an accident and loves cooking with him
Ignis appears in the kitchen of a home.
The sun is rising outside.
A small child is awake, standing in the middle of the kitchen.
“Well, hello,” Ignis greets it.
The child doesn’t even look at him.
Instead, it goes straight to the fridge.
It has to throw it’s body back to open the stubborn door.
At least half of the fridge is just cans of Ebony.
The child takes one.
Using both hands to support the can, they start to drink.
Barely stopping to breathe.
“I doubt that is recommended for a child.”
Ignis crosses the kitchen to them.
“Dad lets me.” Finally! They speak!
Ignis is doubtful.
“I drank his once when I was a baby, now he lets me drink them.”
“Why would your father leave coffee where you could get to it?”
“He didn’t, he gave it to me.” The child finishes the rest of the can.
“What?!”
“He wasn’t awake and put coffee in my cup instead of milk.”
Ignis’s head is in his hand.
Is HE truly going to do that?
“Duly noted…”
They stand in the kitchen, simply staring at each other.
This is not a touchy child.
“Well…Do you want some breakfast,” Ignis asks, figuring he may as well do something.
“Sure! I’ll get ready.” They perked up at this idea.
Iggy is expecting them to get washed and set the table.
Instead, they get out a child’s apron, a stool, and a colorful whisk.
With some struggle, they bring the stool over to where Ignis is standing and set it down next to him.
“OK! What are we making.”
The whole scene is honestly adorable.
Ignis decides to make them pancakes and fruit.
Everything he does is met with, “I want to help!”
The child pours cups of ingredients into the batter and stirs everything.
Ingredients go everywhere, but the child is trying their best.
At first, Ignis won’t let them near the stove.
But eventually he gives and lets them flip one pancake.
He certainly won’t let them near the knives!
Fruit pieces do go missing from the counter as they continue making breakfast.
Ignis’s heart is so warm.
He’s smiling ear to ear when they sit down to eat.
As they finish their food, Shiva returns to take Ignis away.
The child looks scared as he gets up to leave.
They jump up and hug his legs.
“Don’t go!”
The scene breaks Ignis’s heart.
“I’ll return soon, little one,” he whispers as he kisses the top of their head.
Gladio
His child can read way above their reading level
Gladio is in the library of the Amicitia Estate.
In among the towering dark shelves and countless books,
He sees large stacks of random books on the ground.
Small eyes peer out at him from behind them.
He crouches down to be level with them.
“Hey there.”
“Hi,” is all he gets back.
“Whatcha reading,” Gladio asks, taking a nearby book.
“Stuff.”
“What kind of stuff?”
“All of it.”
Gladio smiles. They respond just how Iris used to.
“Cool.” He sits down and takes a nearby book, opening it up to read.
“That’s not a good one,” the books squeak.
Gladio looks up before examining the cover of the book.
“The Metamorphosis…Nope! It certainly is not.” Gladio sets the book down suddenly.
What was that doing in a child’s book pile?
“This one is better!” Finally, they come out from behind their books.
They bring an old red leather bound book to hand to Gladio.
He takes it.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream, huh? Have you read this?”
The child sits down next to Gladio.
“Yeah. I liked it.” They lean up against him.
“Well…ok,” Gladio cracks open the book and starts reading.
The child is reading over his shoulder.
He smiles at them and starts reading out loud.
He makes all the voices and uses his best dramatic reading skills!
They love it! Laughing often.
They’re to the second act when Shiva returns.
Gladio sighs as he stands, handing the book back to the kid.
“Can we finish it later,” they ask, looking up at him.
“Absolutely, kiddo.” He ruffles their hair, looking down at them lovingly.
He starts to walk towards Shiva when he feels them tackle his leg.
The scene makes him want to cry.
He picks them up, hugging them.
“Daddy will be home soon.”
Bonus
Ravus
Oh baby, this kid has the scowl down pat!
They stand in Fenestala Manor, staring at each other.
It’s a scowl off.
But, just like Ravus, they can’t hold it forever.
They turn from him, suddenly taking off through the halls!
“Get back here!” The High Commander of Niflheim chases after a child through his own home.
They run off towards the conservatory, slipping through the doors just before Ravus.
He pushes the great doors open, stopping for a moment as the feeling of the room hits him.
It is warm and humid with the smells of flowering plants from all across Eos.
It’s silent, except for birds chirping high overhead.
All the eye sees are greens and bright colors from the flowers.
Breathing deeply, Ravus can taste the flowers in the humidity.
This was always one of his favorite rooms.
If this truly is his child, it’s no surprise that they ran here.
Ravus and his mother had tended many of these plants.
It was always a place where he could feel closer to her memory.
The bushes rustle.
Ravus takes a moment to close the great doors, before walking the halls between the great plants.
More rustles.
He follows the noise.
He comes upon a very unique bush.
The plant is massive, stretching from floor to the 30 foot tall ceilings and at least half that in width.
The branches are greenish bark, bushing out from the ground.
The leaves on it are small, especially in comparison to the palm sized white blossoms that appear amply over the bush.
Currently, the bush looks to be more blossom than leaf.
This particular plant is extraordinary and only an expert would know it’s secrets.
Ravus can hear small noises behind the bush.
He whistles. It’s a half second long high note made between the tongue and the lips.
The plant shakes, coming to life.
Swish!
All of the flowers close, the petals folding inwards to protect the pistil.
The child is revealed, their hiding place behind the bush now obsolete.
They look utterly shocked.
“How did you do that,” they demand of Ravus.
He can’t help it.
He smiles at the scene.
Many years ago, he said similar words to his mother when she showed him the trick.
“There’s much you don’t know about the occupants of this room.”
“Show me!” The child creeps out from behind the bush to stand before him.
“Only if you say please.” Ravus can hear his mother saying those exact same words.
“Please…” The child adds.
“Come.” Ravus begins to walk the halls of the great conservatory, stopping at each plant to discuss it with the child.
“What about that bush…will it be ok,” the child asks, looking back on their hiding spot.
“Yes, with a little time, the flowers will open back up.”
As Ravus makes for another plant, the child takes his magiteck hand, holding it.
He’s shocked!
His instincts almost kick in to push them away.
But something else holds him back.
They walk through the gardens, hand in hand. Ravus answers every question the child can think of.
Coming full circle, they see that the bush’s flowers have reopened.
“Look!” The child bounces excitedly.
“I see!” A smile graces his harsh face.
Shiva appears, framed by the great flowers, holding a hand out to Ravus.
“NO!” The child folds into him, gripping his leg. “Please, don’t go!”
You can hear the High Commander’s heart shatter.
Images of his mother’s smile flash in his mind.
He leans over, wrapping the small child in his arms.
“When you awaken, I will be right here, little blossom. I will never leave you.”
Luna
Luna’s child is mischievous, just like she used to be.
Shiva takes her to the doorway of a grand bedroom.
It’s a child’s bedroom; there are toys everywhere.
But it appears no one is here.
“Hello,” Luna asks the room.
Silence.
Luna takes a step forward.
“BOO!” A child jumps in front of her from behind the door.
Luna gasps, startled, hand flying to her chest.
The child giggles.
Then Luna does.
“Gotcha,” they tease.
“Yes, you did!” Luna bends over to greet the child, a warm smile on her face.
The child smiles back.
“Want to color with me?”
“Yes!”
They settle on floor cushions at a low table, crayons and paper spread out before them.
“Here, you can use this one!” The child hands Luna a silver ink pen.
“Thank…” Luna responds before the pen shocks her!
The child laughs at their prank.
“You really are a trickster, aren’t you?” Luna is giving them a mocking side eye.
“Yep!”
Luna does her best to come up with a way to trick the child.
“Do you want a snack,” they ask some time later.
“I’d love one,” Luna responds.
“I’ll go get us one!” They take off running out of the bedroom.
In that time, Luna switches the caps on all of the markers in the box the child was using.
Then, she hides in the closet.
The child returns with fruit.
They’re quiet at first.
“Are you still here,” they call.
Luna watches, waiting.
The child puts the tray of fruit on the coloring table.
“BOO!” It’s Luna’s turn to jump out in front of them!
They squeal.
“You got me,” they shout through toothy giggles.
They both laugh and settle in for snacks.
Luna gives them a look before biting into an apple.
“It’s safe! I promise,” they plead.
She smiles and bites into it.
The child goes back to coloring.
Soon, they dramatically sigh.
“What is it,” Luna asks.
“I have a purple sun…” the child holds up a purple marker with a yellow lid on it and their paper with a large purple circle in the corner.
Luna starts to giggle.
“You did that,” they shout, giving her a fake pout.
Both of them laugh and enjoy the day.
When Shiva returns, Luna stands to leave.
“Wait! Here!” The child hands her their drawing.
It’s of the two of the under a big purple sun.
Luna smiles fondly at it.
“So…you don’t forget about me,” the child says.
“I could never forget about you, little star.” She holds her future child tight.

how about headcanons of the little things you would do for the chocobros+somnus?
Hi, thanks for the ask! Little things that make them feel cared for coming up!
Noctis:
Watch him play + listen to him explain his video games
Back up his fishing stories 110%
Don’t pester him to get up until he’s hit snooze at least twice
Have pajamas and takeout nights
Prompto:
Support his online photography presence (likes, shares, whatever) and pick out the best shots to feature
Hold his hand/arm in a crowd “so you don’t get separated”
Meet him for breakfast after his morning run
Go shopping with him and reassure him his outfits are cool enough
Gladio:
Keep track of his current weightlifting bests (dead-lift, squat primarily)
Join him on his “junk food” day–no complaining about calories!
Get him a book he hasn’t read before
Anything to show him you take his advice to heart–carrying a first-aid kit, “properly” preparing Cup Noodles, etc.
Ignis:
Shoulder rubs–the man gets tension headaches
Be a guinea pig for new recipes and don’t lie to spare his feelings
Keep his preferred brand of coffee on-hand (bonus if he’s the only one drinking it)
Ask him if he would rather somebody else drive for a while
Somnus:
Let him pick which color he plays in chess
Give him an escape route to get out of parties (be it a ruse or a hidden passage)
Let Somnus choose the wine to go with the meal
Don’t treat him differently after he’s crowned
Something you want to see? Asks are open!

Final Fantas-Tea XV So - today I started drinking my Final Fantas-teas. [Link here.] Obviously, have to start with my main squeeze, Gladdy. Gladio’s tea is a blend of pu erh, oolong, and black tea. They’ve also added some vanilla, cinnamon, orange peel, ginger, clove, and cardamom for spice. Just for added prettiness (they do not really provide any flavor) cornflower and safflower are added as well. The tea itself is a musky tea - what you’d expect (ifyoulickhisface), with the back taste of cinnamon. But not “big red gum” cinnamon. It’s enjoyably spicy. Brew directions suggest steeping at 212°F, but I wouldn’t go over 190-195°F because Oolong is a sensitive tea that gets bitter quickly if it’s steeped in water that is too hot. You can’t really get more than one steeping out of this one - it’s strength is diluted significantly on the second steep. Overall, I’m enjoying this cup of Gladd-tea. ♥ 10/10 Ultimate Flavor Experiences. Final FantasTeas: Gladd-tea | Promptea | Noctea | Igtea | Regi-tea | Lunatea

Imagine having a huge Christmas party with chocobros at the palace and reader is nervous on giving all her friends their gift.
Sorry if this is terrible. I have been in a writing slump honestly. I'm trying for everyone, I swear...I'm just having a hard time right now. I hope you like it!
TW: none
Word count: 653
~~~~~~~~~
The lights were plentiful as you entered the main ballroom if the Citadel. It was the annual Christmas party, one you've never been able to attend because you'd always be under the weather or just too damn nervous to show up.
It was an honor to be invited and you hated yourself for being so scared to be amongst the guests here, but you felt you were no one special. Only having been friends with Noctis because of school, you were the first brave enough to approach him.
You had been a nervous wreck too but you wanted to talk to him, not because of his status, but because you thought he seemed cool. You never regretted it...at least not until now.
Here you were in a very cute green outfit, carrying a bag of gifts you had made for your four closest friends. You were scared to present the tree ornaments to them, fearing they would hate them, or think they were stupid.
"(Y/n)!" It was Prompto's cheery voice calling to you, you turn to the sound of his voice to see him looking adorable in his suit. You could tell, however, how uncomfortable he was in it though and you giggled at him as he tugged at the collar. "Glad to see you made it this year!"
"I'm glad too." You smile politely at him as he leads you over to the refreshment table.
"The best place in the room!" You laughed at him, as he poured you a glass of punch, you clinked the glasses together before drinking. You sat and chatted with Prompto for a long time, he kept you highly entertained with his jokes when Ignis, Gladio and Noctis finally joined you.
You greeted them all, before taking in a deep breath, calming your nerves before you dug in your bag to fish out the gifts.
You presented Prompto's first, a small camera ornament that you crafted. He was overjoyed with it, talking about how much he loves it and how it's so cool that you made it yourself. He even asked for you to show him how you did it.
Ignis' ornament, you had thought about doing something cooking related, but instead made him a Knight chess piece, since he had showed you how to play the game. He thanked you in his normal polite, caring way, giving you a small hug, before asking if you cared to have another match with him after the party.
"Yeah, of course. I'll get the check mate like always!" You teased, knowing he always beats you, know matter how cunning you think you are.
Gladio you couldn't help but make him a small lantern like the one he loves to use when camping. You were gonna take the tongue in cheek route and make a cup noodle ornament, but you knew it would have been a cheap shot. He pulled you into a tight bear hug, lifting you off the ground, sending your stomach rolling at the sudden upheaval and he thanked you for your creative gift.
Last but not least, Prince Noctis. You dug his out, a small fishing rod, complete with line and a tiny fish hooked on it. You held it out to him and he seemed more touched than the other three at your handmade gift. He took it from you before looking you in the eyes.
"Thank you, (y/n), this is the most thoughtful gift I've ever received. I'll keep it forever." You blushed at his praise, smiling shyly, leaning to him to give him a chaste kiss on the cheek.
"You guys have been the best friends I've ever had. Thank you and Merry Christmas!"
At the end of it all, you don't know why you were ever nervous to come here. The four boys always made you feel as if you belonged and you would never ask for anything more.
Conversation
YRP Meets NPIG
Yuna, Rikku, and Paine meet up with the Chocobros in an Altissian Restaurant to have an informal double-triple date. The girls meet the bros during their worldwide tour that took them to Altissia. The Chocobros have been stranded on the roadside for days after the Regalia has an unfortunate breakdown, and Cindy is currently on vacation.) Noctis and Prompto, Ignis and Gladio, and the three girls pair up into dates and meet for some fine food and drink.
Ignis: The cuisine here looks promising, perhaps I may enjoy this.
Yuna: Altissia is so beautiful! It's so much different than home in Bevelle.
Rikku: Look at all the people here! So exciting!
Paine: More like crowded. *accidentally bumps into someone*
Prompto: Hey, are you Yuna? THE Yuna---from Final Fantasy X?! I just finished playing the Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster!
Noctis: Are you seriously breaking the fourth wall again?
*the guys and girls take their seats at the table*
Gladiolus: Hey, Iggy, what's the Ig-Meister ordering today?
Ignis: I'm not sure---it's been awhile since we've been away from the campfire, there are limitless new options here. *looking curiously at the menu*
Prompto: Ooh, Ohh, I want the Spicy Cockatrice taco!
Rikku: You've got some good taste, my friend! I'll take one, too!
Gladiolus: I'll take whatever doesn't eat me first.
Noctis: That's our Gladio-Daddyo! *pats him on the back*
Paine: The Barbequed Sahagin kabobs look pretty appetizing.
Yuna: Well...let's see...I'd like the Mandragora Mixed Salad.
Paine: What a risk-taker. Even your taste in food is modest.
Rikku: Is everyone ready to order? I'm getting hungry...*her stomach growls*
Prompto: Ready!
Gladiolus: Couldn't be more ready to chow down.
Paine: Ready as I'll ever be.
Yuna: Good to go!
*everyone looks at Ignis for reassurance, who is still looking at the menu.*
Ignis: ... *in intense concentration*
Gladiolus: Ig, you still with us?
Ignis: I...
Prompto: Ignis! Speak to us!
Ignis: I...I...I can't do it! *slams the menu down*
Everyone: *looks in shock at Ignis*
Gladiolus: Iggy?
Ignis: *sweating and breathing hard* I think I'm getting kitchen sick...
Gladiolus: Ohh no...not that...
Prompto: Not that...
Noctis: Anything but that...*hugging Prompto in fear*
Yuna: What's wrong? *completely clueless*
Gladiolus: I shoulda known this was going to happen. We shouldn't have come here...
Paine: ... *speechless*
Rikku: Umm, if I may ask, what's going on? *in a small voice*
Ignis: *begins to shake, eyes slightly dilating*
Gladiolus: *wraps his arms around Ignis* It's been a couple days since we had a campfire meal. I think it's taking a psychological toll on Ignis. He doesn't even want to eat out anymore.
*everyone looks concerned for Ignis*
Prompto: Well...what are we gonna do?
Gladiolus: We have to make camp---it's the only option.
Waiter: What will you fine gentlewomen and gentlemen be having today?
*everyone starts to leave*
Waiter: *confused* Excuse me?
Ignis: Wait...
*they turn around to face Ignis*
Ignis: What drinks...do you offer?
Waiter: We serve iced tea, a plethora of alcoholic beverages, and coffee.
Ignis: THAT'S IT!
Gladiolus: What's up...Iggy?
Ignis: I'll take a coffee, on the double.
Noctis: So that was the problem after all. He was caffeine deprived.
Prompto: He really can't live without the stuff, can he?
Ignis: *chugging a cup of coffee wildly*
Rikku: Wow, I've never seen someone so...coffee-dependent.
Yuna: Me neither.
Paine: What's so great about coffee?
Ignis: *perks up and looks critically at Paine*
Noctis: You might want to run. Seriously...
Chocobros + Ravus and Luna in an eating contest
Noctis
“As long as there’s no carrots…”
Noct is a pretty picky eater, so he’d need to find an eating contest that suits his tastes, but is also fine with the other Chocobros, since they wanted to compete against each other
He isn’t overly excited, but he does look forward to it
Especially after Gladio eggs him on
He is… Pretty sure he won’t manage to win against the giant that is Gladio, but dammit, now he’s definitely gonna try!
Out of their group, Noctis places 4th, behind Ravus - At least he’s not last!
Prompto
He was, like, really hesitant about the idea in general
Eventually, he lets the others convince him, though; still, he’s definitely not as excited about it as Gladio
He’s lowkey sad it’s not spicy food; he’s pretty good at handling spicy stuff, which would’ve given him a slight advantage over the others
At least it’s not Cup Noodles, either, or nobody could’ve beaten Gladio
In the end, he places 5th out of their group, after Noctis
Kinda proud he still managed to beat at least Ignis
Ignis
It wasn’t really his suggestion, but he’s still somewhat the reason they’re doing it in the first place
Ignis spotted a poster for one, one of the other bros joked they should look for a Cup Noodle eating contest for Gladio, and somehow they ended up deciding it’d be fun to try their luck
He thinks it might be an interesting experience, though he doubts it’ll be something he wants to do more than once
When it comes to food, he prefers to try the local cuisine in a relaxed setting, really savor it (And maybe think about how he could recreate it while camping)
Because of that, he ends up with a pretty low rank, lowest of the Chocobros
He tries to eat as fast as he could, but he’s just not used to wolfing food down
But at least he doesn’t end up feeling like he should never move again
Gladio
He’s pretty sure he’s gonna win. If not the entire contest, then at least against the other bros
After all, he is the biggest of them all, and easily towers over most of the other contestants, too
Which means he’s really surprised when, during the contest, he glances over at his competitors and sees how fast they are
Gladio can eat fast, sure, but trying to keep up with those people is hard
And although he knows he can eat a lot, he pretty soon notices that he’s never tried to eat this much at once
He ranks second out of their group, and before the other Chocobros
But he feels like he’ll never want to move ever again
Luna
She was with the boys, and decided it sounded like fun
The Chocobros were pretty surprised, but well, sure, if she wanted to
(They thought she’d either just cheer for them, or go do something else)
When the bros glance over at her, though, they notice that she’s actually pretty good??
She doesn’t win the contest, but she does get the highest place from their group
Ravus is the only one who’s absolutely not surprised; sure, he didn’t know she’d score that high, but he figured she’d be pretty high up
One of the most important things in eating contests (according to the mod’s quick google search) is how much the stomach can expand. Which can be trained by drinking lots of water really quickly
As an oracle, Luna travelled a lot, spent loads of time in the heat in sunny places… Which meant she had to drink a lot of water
Ravus
Nobody is really sure why Ravus joined
Prompto suggested maybe he wants to make sure Luna’s food isn’t poisoned, but Ravus hasn’t confirmed or denied that
But, well, he did. And he’s a big guy, so Prompto and Noctis speculate that he’ll be pretty good
(One of them jokingly suggest they could make bets who will win, Gladio or Ravus)
Ravus pretty much immediately says he’d place his bet on Luna if he were them (Obviously everyone thinks he’s just joking)
He does end up ranking pretty high - 3rd in their group, behind Luna and Gladio, but before the other bros
