An experiment with something I've been working on for a good bit! What do you think they're discussing?

I want to post more pictures from my project but this time it`s less of a ghost and more of a dragon. Someone asked me already how i made these and i wanted to post it here too in case other people are also interested:

I used Krita and just drew them on a new layer on top of photos. That way it`s easier to lower the opasity/see what to erase/edit them/. Also i didn`t use pure white for my ghosts. Instead i colorpicked the lightest color from the photo (or in this case the darkest color of the mountains) and used that. That way they feel more like they are a part of the picture :)

This is Pixel, my Porygon2. She gets really excited when touching carpet - like hilariously so. I always figured it was because real life textures are kinda new and exciting for a digital creature. @realpokemon

Had some fun drawing over reference photos I had to take for a digital painting assignment.

Image 1 reads "villain of the story" in BT, a conlang I have partially developed. This piece reflects the way I villified myself for years up until last spring/summer and accepted years' worth of guilt for not fitting into my parents' church's ideas of a good Christian.

Image 2 also stems from that period of my life, specifically last winter, around a year ago, in which my mental health was suffering but I was rapidly consuming Star Wars (specifically The Clone Wars) content and becoming fond of the Mandalorians and their culture. I used that affinty to give myself confidence, constructing outfits that were, in a sense, my "armor" and made me happy. Now, as I start to pull together an actual cosplay Mandalorian kit, I decided to use one of my design concepts to represent the visualization of that confidence method.

I'm doing better now, and learning to accept myself and move past the constraining ideals of the religion I grew up in. I don't deny myself basic pleasures or releases like swearing at my possessions and computer when things go wrong, I wear my binders proudly, I'm starting to accept my gender nonconformity and attachement to the nonbinary umbrella. I'm learning, and caring for myself, and trying to pull myself out of the dark place I fell into when I was 16 and started to notice I didn't fit right.

But it still takes time. Limited therapeutic access has its affects too, and I know I should probably find a way to go back, to talk about top surgery, and diagnoses, and meds my mom discourages me from. In the mean time, I've been making art that finishes out certain eras of my life. These pieces, along with a longer series I made for an imaging class, represent moving on from the things that tortured me for years (and peaked last winter). And I'm happy about that.

I made a Sebastian Solace mask + tail!

this is mostly a makeshift cosplay and not meant to be 100% on model. I might remake the tail for Halloween.

for the mask, I've used a feline base, for the tail I've used plush fabric and felt fabric - all hand-sewn.
