Me:*chaotically swirving in the swirly chair and crashed into another girl's chair* you like Harry Potter fanfiction?

Her: yeah *completely unnerved*

Me: What ships?

Her: Drarry, dramione, harmione-

Me: *narrows eyes and pushes myself away from her* ....how do you feel about Ron? Answer carefully *scoots out of the room*

Her: I love Ron! How could anyone hate him?

Me: *narrow eyes but scoots back* Ok. I'm coming back but you're on thin fucking ice.

slytherin common room

- slytherin common room is lowkey dark as hell and glows a deep green,, smallish windows and most objects are a dark colored metal that looks lowkey prison-y; it scares off the "weak"

- obviously, slytherins can't constantly live in this room, so they have a secret Sunshine Room,, it's painted a pleasing mint green (tho people often complain and charm it to different shades of green) and has dark hardwood floors so ppl can fulfill their dream of clacking around in heels,,,, there's a lot of instruments (charmed so only the player can hear it so as not to disturb others), big chairs, and a lot of ~private areas usually used for plotting and canoodling;; ok room space is really limited so it’s not used too much mostly the seventh years camp out here, if someone is crying they’re allowed in no question, and first years on their first night and seventh years on their final night slytherin have a tradition of spending the full night in there

- ofc there's a back door how stupid would someone have to be to only have one exit *side eyes godric and rowena*,, it leads to the far side of the great lake and has been used only four times

- traditional, yet badass (they can and will bite their thumb at you, sir ;));; there are literally fountains and marble statues (black marble) but someone put clothes on them at one point and it becomes a Thing to put different outfits on them (in a competition, pansy won for her feather boa x sombrero combination -- everyone was too scared to ask her where she got them from)

- there are three crystal chandeliers from the ceiling in a line; the middle one is the biggest and full of candles that don’t drip wax,, green bolts of lighting dart across every now and then

- neon green signs on one part of the wall bc it's "aesthetic" and ppl take polaroids in front of it

- people are lowkey snake lovers/snake haters;; there’s a pet snake named solomon ix and he’s a garden snake,, he is tiny and he will Fight For His Honor;; charmed so the occasional owls won't eat him

- lowkey underground,, whole room has a greenish turquoise lighting kinda vibe bc there's a big big glass wall that's a window to the great lake,, betting on grindylow fights and things,, keeping up communications w the mermaids and communicating; sign language (a second year is partially deaf and everyone rallied around them to learn to sign), and learning to read write backwards for the ones that are still trying to sign so the ones that haven't picked up sign language yet can write messages on the glass to the mermaids on the glass

- is there a potions trade? idk ask theodore nott, who discreetly runs the whole thing in That Corner that vaguely smells of weed

- dormitories are a big part of common room culture! there's a girls' dorm, a boys' dorm, and an all gender dorm for people that prefer that! they can move dorms whenever they want! besides, sleepovers between dorms are not unheard of (fifth and fourth yr boys in the fifth year girls' dorm messing around w face masks? it's a goddamn weekly event) anybody can go in any dormitory! to hell w girls being more reliable than guys slytherin knew what was up -- in other words, they're both unreliable and sketchy as hell but letting them into each other's dorms will encourage some nice ass pranks,, gryffindor gets credit for a lot of them but everyone "secretly" gets together (snape turns a blind eye) at least once a month to plot a prank against them (and an even more secret ring putting money on romances)

- harry potter frequently spotted inside canoodling w malfoy (drarry is real)

- circles of copying notes,, who gives a fuck about trelawney they take turns coming up with answers to the divination homework and just reorder it a little

- That Fucking Game for slytherin is never have i ever; alcohol version (i do not condone underage or excessive drinking nope don’t do it kids) / eating really gross food combos / something not pg / occasionally strip bc that one's fun

- staying up late to learn that one spell

- forcing each other to practice self care ("blaise, you've been sitting still studying for exams for four straight days! i haven't seen you move or eat or sleep or piss! go fucking shower, eat, sleep, and then run a bit you're going to die,, i'll swipe a copy of the exam for you calm your tits" "ay go fuck yourself, pans" "i will literally stab you") because when they get really involved in something, they kind of forget everything else

- getting ridiculously defensive of their friends -- michael corner cheated on adrian pucey and the whole house simultaneously lost their shit, boycotted communications with ravenclaws for two weeks, and then continued to hold a grudge against michael (it was only forgotten when he brought Apology Cheetos he had to buy from the local dealer -- a hufflepuff sixth year -- for the entirety of slytherin)

- everyone is hungover and still a little high on saturday mornings,, somehow by noon, everyone is put back together to a ridiculous extent? eyeliner on, heels clacking,, damn

- a house of absolute sweeties tucked away behind Mean Masks i love themmm

Drarry Headcanon After the war, Draco moves away and lives in a muggle town, learns a lot about muggle technology. He hated it, he was stubborn and didn't want to do anything. But later he gets a job, a Healer job, which was really hard to get and becomes friends with Hermione. Harry is really suspicious of him and soon acts like he did in 6th year .... to be continued Basically sweet draco likes muggle things and blushes a lot and harry is a oblivious and a goofball.

awe yeah and harry sees draco out in public with a cellphone and he’s just ???? and everyday he walks past the same spot just to see draco with his stupid phone until he finally works up the nerve to just approach him and ask for his number and that’s the beginning of their relationship

What are you thoughts on Draco being a victim? Personally I don't see it. I'm not saying he was entirely evil or unworthy of sympathy, but I don't think he should be absolved of everything just like that bc 'that's the way he was raised'. There has to be some level of accountability.

Ahhhh yes. Here we go. Prior to this merlinforsaken website, I had no real feelings on the dude. Now, I kind of like him. I will never be of the mind that he has redeemed himself and he and Harry should be best buds, etc. And I don’t ship drarry.

I think he was a very impressionable young man. Evidenced by the fact that his Death Eater of a father could do no wrong. I think he was a dick. A slimeball. HOWEVER, I think he started to grow out of that once he actually became his own person. Which just so happened to be when his father was removed from the picture. Now, I know something about this. I have daddy issues of my own. So I guess I can see him being a bit of a victim as far as that is concerned because his father outright bullied him. Mercilessly. Of course, then Draco went on to be a bully himself but...anyway. Once Draco didn’t have Lucius to shower him with his own ways, he had to sort of grow up. As Dumbledore himself said, Draco made several half-hearted attempts to kill Dumbledore. Come on. He could’ve tried harder. Anyway, he couldn’t do it in the end, and I think that should say for something.

But in no way does it make him a great man, or whatever. Idk. I have imbibed some alcohol so did this EVEN make sense? I guess I am sort of neutral on him.

ooooh okay, i guess one unpopular opinion would be that i don’t really care for drarry or dramione?? i know a lot of people ship them and that’s totally fine, i just don’t really see them and find them nope! (also i dislike reylo and y'all can fight me on this)

also i depise racism with my heart and soul which has landed me in a weirdly large amount of arguments with people despite not being an unpopular opinion??

as for headcanons, hmm thats hard because i literally love basically any drarry headcanon ever, but i really like the idea of draco being really clingy and getting jealous super easily and literally always needing to be touching harry

What are your thoughts on an AU where Draco and Harry made friends that first day in Madam Malkin's and all was well (and Drarry occurred) until Draco handed Harry to Voldemort to save himself and his family?
