I think I have rambled about them before so to spare you! A tl;dr version that you can also skip:

Shilva can turn into a dragon. Vikrahm goes on an adventure and meets Pops. Pops is a famous dragonslayer who refuses to tell anyone his name and never collects reward money unless needed at that time. Shilva and Pops get married. They both do not tell Vik his name though so he resorts to a threat and is shocked when it actually works. "I didn't expect to get this far idk what to do now" kinda vibes.

#my characters #tbh the first one was actually drawn during the art stream last night but I didnt post it #i figured i could post it with the big pic and then hate coloring so much i opted for just doodles today #also the siblings just both have purple tongues and fangs and are not vampiric or anything #they just got fangs because i like em aesthetically #vik is such a funny gremlin to me cause he just does not inform anyone he travels with that he is fireproof #and his bff mage buddy specializes in fire magic #and vik is like hey hey can you teach me some fire magic please i think itd be super cool #and he sucks at magic RIP #he barely makes a flicker but it does come in handy once #also when vik says hes gonna play fetch since he can shoot farther its because as kids #he learned how to shoot a bow in order to play long distance fetch with a dragon (his sister)#cause she basically got the zoomies and flying helped soooo long distance fetch #shilva is a bundle of sunshine and i love her #me patting pops on the head - this old man can fit so much trauma in his life #he can take a threat of being called big brother and say that is the straw on the camels back #hes suffered enough dont make him suffer that

Also! I feel like people can be a bit too mean about Hercule sometimes (because okay. the bit about claiming ki techniques as tricks is one thing, and like. I get where people come from in him taking the credit for Cell but also come on. Gohan would not want to be famous pls) AND I feel like the presence of animal people and other weird stuff on earth drops off as the series progresses, which out of universe is because of the change in tone but in universe is like. That has implications.

So. Concept of Hercule as yes, a bit (or a lot of) a glory hound and a showboat but also as someone who uses that influence to, like, champion the rights for the various non-human sapient Earthlings particularly as they start to get pushed to the sidelines of urbanization. (And, you know, given I make the Ox King an actual ruler in my au, and I have the Ox Kingdom as one of the larger/more prominent kingdoms with the rare majority of non-human sapients, also potential for earlier interaction between Gohan and Videl <3)

okokok so this is definitely the most weirdly specific question ive ever asked but does anyone know if the symmetrical worm enemies in terraria (eater of worlds, destroyer, bone serpent, etc.) flip to stay upright in the same way the asymmetrical ones (wyvern, blood eel, and phantasm dragon) do and we just cant tell bc their designs are symmetrical

#amicus.txt #terraria #ive been brainstorming some texture pack ideas and this is very important info that i dont have time/energy/ability to test #like to try and explain it differently:#in terraria the wyvern enemy's textures will often get mirrored while youre fighting it #this is because the wyverns texture is drawn from a side-view perspective; so theres a correct “up” orientation for it #so when it flips its doing that to prevent itself from being upside-down #which would obviously look weird for it to be flying around like that #this same principle applies to the blood eel and phantasm dragon enemies and the stardust dragon minion #the wiki lists these enemies as having the same ai type (Worm AI) as terrarias worm enemies. such as the Eater of Worlds boss #Eater of Worlds is drawn from a top-down perspective and not a side-view perspective. it also happens that it is symmetrical #so its left half looks the exact same as its right half #which also means that with the way it is drawn it cant really be “upside-down” in the same way a wyvern could #so if the Eater of Worlds was flipped in the same way the wyvern is then we wouldnt be able to notice #BUT since they are both listed as having the Worm AI type which would presumably contain the directions to have it flip #that might mean that its still flipping to keep itself “upright” even though it doesnt change anything #to prove this you would have to make a custom texture pack where the Eater of Worlds' texture is asymmetrical #and then test it by fighting it in a world #so for example if you drew a big R on each texture of Eater of Worlds' segments (head body and tail)#if it doesnt flip like the wyvern does then itll just look like an R at all times just at different rotations #but if it DOES flip then it would look like a Я at some points in the fight

#worst of all Syrax has pretty normal realistic wings so they very much could've done it for the other dragons #none of these bitches look like they could fly #literally every time I see any of the HotD dragons in flight I think about how the hell does their spine work #and their body just. flops #and there's so many scenes where their tails are dragging across ground or over water in flight like girl!!!#why are you slowing yourself down!!! why are you increasing your drag so much you're gonna fall from the goddamn sky #not to mention caraxes like what even is that design #he'd work if in addition to being so damn long he was the *only* dragon with spoon wings to make him look freakier compared to others #also wth are those leg wings #especially when his legs just hang limply in flight #who the hell was in charge of the dragon designs holy hell

I'm slowly playing through the Final Shape campaign. And it has me over here almost crying and getting all emotional. Cuz the message it's giving, of Ghosts being there for their Guardians all the time, whatever it takes, because they're "made of the same stuff," and all that...that's always the bond I've envisioned for my guardian Cerys-8 and her ghost Pepin.

Yeah I bet most players who created characters for their guardians feel that way, but the way they're wording it here speaks SO much to how I feel that Pepin cares for Cerys. She deals with a lot of mental health issues after the loss of her awoken hunter friend, Arjun, to Taken. She has been slightly suicidal in the past as a result of it. She's done stuff that has worried Pepin. And that just made him dig deeper into being someone who Cerys can rely on, her last line of defense. Because he brought her into this life as a guardian without any choice from her. So he is going to try his best to help her heal and keep going. He knew that from the start, and felt it even more after she declined.

Pepin had Cerys name him because he didn't have a name before and he didn't care to give one to himself. So Cerys picked Pepin, because it sounded like a play on saying that he was peppy. Happy. Cheerful. Bringing light to dark moments. He isn't an overly cheery and emotional ghost, but he always tries his best to find the positive in a situation. Or at least, make the dark not seem so strong. Cerys saw that from the start, which made him feel even stronger about being a protector for his Guardian when it comes to her internal struggles. He wants to be there for her, almost like a parents or an older sibling she can go to in her times of need, especially after she lost Arjun. And then during the Red War. And after losing Cayde- and so on. Cerys struggled to accept his caring at first, but as she healed, she realized just how much she actually appreciated it. How glad she is to have Pepin as her ghost and closest friend in the world.

I've felt that about them for years. So. Needless to say. This dialogue in the game about the ghosts caring so much about their guardians and their struggles- more than I remember it being talked about ever before- is making me kinda emotional.

#wish i could have a little companion just like a ghost to have with me at all times for real for real #would help so much #im gonna be emotional about this for a while dont mind me #like this just hasnt been discussed like this in the game as far as i remember. at least not to this extent. and its just really making me #so happy and emotional cuz it reminds me SO much of the bond i have felt exists between Pepin and Cerys for years at this point #also doesnt help that this campaign seems to have much more of a somber emotional vibe to it like the red war had. with the red war being #what made me get so attached to my guardian and make a character out for her and her ghost. cuz before D2 cerys and pepin didnt even have #names. but the second i opened D2 and saw my D1 guardian there and ready to go...man that hit me hard. felt like she was an established #character or some shit. then the beginning of the red war campaign....man. utterly heartbreaking in the best way.#i still think about when the light was taken and ghaul took out light. and how much it clearly hurt the guardian and ghost. how the guardia #immediately grabbed their ghost and held them close until ghaul knocked ghost out of their hand by kicking them. and the guardian reaching #in despair for their ghost after they fly off to the city before. followed by the guardian moments later #man.........#i started d2 not long after it came out and that whole beginning to the campaign still sticks with me. along with the emotions i felt #during it. i dont think any other game has hit me as deeply as that. it was devastating but then so goddamn empowering and it makes me #emotional. and this campaign is giving me some of that emotional vibe to. far more than others have since the red war #theres a reason why the quote 'eyes up guardian' is so so important to me and makes me so happy #and why my guardian is so attached to her ghost and why hes so protective of her...yeah....#red war campaign my beloved #the final shape even has cutscenes that are FAR more of the same style and vibe as the red war! unlike any of the other campaigns!#that one cutscene while entering the traveler thats just light and dark struggling for dominance my beloved. there wasnt a single word #spoken in that cutscene but it conveyed SO MUCH. i keep thinking about it and it hasnt even been out for a week. it was also a flat out #STUNNING cutscene. so beautiful #loving this campaign so much. ive always so adored the red war campaign- def one of my fave in the game if not my fave- and this one is #coming very close to it #i know its the emotions and beauty in the cutscenes thats a big selling point for me.#anyway #destiny 2 #destiny 2 the final shape #dragon lady letters

Aemond killing Luke =/= what happened during the night of Blood & Cheese. that was not equal* revenge, the two events can never and will never be equal under any circumstance nor attempts at justification.

I said what I said, and I believe it with my whole chest.

*quick edit on wording, that was my bad, definitely made my point look real stupid... this is why you double-check your rants, especially when they're controversial

#the fight between Aemond and Luke was unequal but a fight none the less #both were on dragon back. both had some sort of battle knowledge. aemond had some level of cause #it may not have been justification. but aemond was seeking revenge for his eye after YEARS of anger #while there was a degree of injustice done to luke #it was nothing like the night of blood and cheese #they attacked 3 innocent children who were 6 and 2. not old enough to hurt flys let alone people #threatened and damn near tortured their mother. forcing her to pick which of her sons would die. while also threatening to rape her daughte #helaena nor her children had ever hurt anyone and they paid the price for aemonds misdeeds #while I understand wanting to make a blow to the green after the death of luke #that night was not an equal attack nor was it justifiable #and I hate seeing people say “they got what was coming to them” because they didn't. nothing could have justified that night #jaehaerys targaryen #jaehaera targaryen #maelor targaryen #helaena targaryen #they deserved better #aemond targaryen #luke velaryon #hotd #house of the dragon #blood and cheese
