this is about marvel fans who turned into cod fans so it's not really shocking but it does feel like none of them know how narratives are built and why deaths in stories happen. the takes I've seen that soap died for some outside reason are so so insane. and like ive seen this happen before like when, idk if anyone remembers this, but when the dragon age inquisition concept art of anders desolate in the desert was posted to the concept artists personal blog here and every anders fan took that as a personal slight against them to "make fun" of them instead of just like, showing the dai team having thoughts about ways to progress the story. it didn't even happen, anders isnt seen in dai, but people still took it to mean "bioware hates us" instead of. "lots of concepts go into the making of a narrative of a game." i dont think anyones fucking.. twitter follow lists indicate an "issue" that required soap to be killed off. they wouldn't kill him off bc the fans thought he was fucking ghost..? thats like straight up just. not how it works. soap died bc it fits the narrative bc they needed someone fridged and soap works the best bc he has nothing going on he has no arc. killing gaz off would be stupid bc it would be too much too soon. ghost wouldnt work because while price would feel for "causing" his death he also like. knows ghost is like jaded. like hes lived thru a lot. its like matter of time for ghost bc he wants to die in war instead of any other time. but soap is like young and new and he could have had something going so his death is the best shock to tf141 to piss them off and to push them further along the narrative like. i. i dont KNOW man i dont know how people think this happened bc of some Outside force thats literally just Not how it works thats like a child's thoughts. i mean to even expect that everyone behind the camera are the absolute best of friends is insane they are coworkers they can Be Friends but its not like it always happens..? you have had your brain rotted by edited bts footage i thinks.

Note: I am a multi-shipper, and almost every ship is valid. However, I am by NO MEANS a proshipper. I don't support Pedo, Incest, toxic relationships, or anything like that. We do not promote that here. The only good representation of proships (in my opinion) is to show what is wrong, and how to deal with that situation. No one should have to go through something like that, so for any person who has experienced it, it is important to write these topics in a reflective manner, and not glorifying them.

As I am a writer, I have many ideas and WIPs/drafts in my head, and here is my current list, if anyone is interested:

- Vaporeon X Umbreon book - (Male Vaporeon and Female Umbreon)

- Espeon X Glaceon book - (Male Espeon and Female Glaceon)

- Shiny! Sylveon X Espeon book - (Was gonna be FxF, but I'm unsure whether I will change the genders or not.)

- Another Pokémon X Pokémon one-shots book. All Pokémon now, eeveelutions are obviously still allowed. ( No humans still, I like my escapism, thank you. )

- Speed X Black fanfic - (After getting back the lore from canon ES and for someone)

- Espeon X Umbreon book which is just " Dogs in Love" - (Espeon is a merciful king, while his boyfriend, Umbreon, commits crimes. They have a Jolteon son afterward)

- Spyro and Cynder X Dragon! Reader (Two separate books) - (As there are no fanfics that I could read, I'm making my own. It's based on the original Spyro games and not Skylanders. Used to love Skylanders, but I would like the originals, please. Also, the reader is either Gender-neutral or Male. Idk.)

- Toothless X Skrill! reader - (The reader is FINALLY gender-neutral, plus, isn't a night fury or light fury. Almost all the other Toothless X readers have the reader as Female. Which is rude.)

- Powered! Starflight AU - (Based on an awesome pmv, which uses the song, RÄT)

- Hybrid! Peril and Sky AU - (If the two twins gained the RainWing traits from their father)

- Darkstalker! Sunny AU - (Sunny inherits everything that her ancestor Darkstalker had, and that bring her down a rocky path.)

- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon inspired! Umbreon X Jolteon book (Both Male. This is heavily inspired by the UxJ animations from mastertrapmon on YT. Not the story, but the vibes.)

- Whiteout X Gender-neutral! RainWing! Reader book? (The reader meets Whiteout somehow, and the reader is immediately intrigued by Whiteout. Anyway, this is also to explore the RainWing tribe during Darkstalker's time, as we still barely know anything even with the guide. I'm very intrigued about the possibilities, especially with the mentions of them making potions.)

- Umbreon X Espeon X Sylveon book - (All three are male. This is inspired by the vibes from the song Solider, Poet, King by The Oh Hellos. The romance will be a slow burn if I decide to keep that in, and not make it all about the action.)

- Winterwatcher or just Winter book - Basically full Winter POV.

- Sundew X Cricket book. - I love this ship a lot. It's not that I hate Window (Sunlow), it's just the enemies to lovers is RIGHT THERE.

The Super 6 / The Golden Age

On the 27th of November 2013 a bomb exploded something so big it would change Internet culture forever, but how affected it Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons? Well, it affected in such a Big Way that we for the first time (but not the last) changed its name to Rise of the Brave Tangled Frozen Dragon. Yes, like once upon a time Season 4 we did frozen.

But we did it before the movie came out. EVIDENCE this looks like the oldest... But then the new naming post THIS. What’s interesting in this post is that frozen came before Tangled which later was changed again, BUT this first post came from 18th Jun 2013, Frozen came out on the 27th NOVEMBER 2013 so just like we did with Guardians we adopted Frozen before it even came out.

Frozen really was our Golden Age but also the beginning of our decline period, our dark age if you so will.

Frozen didn’t just brought us the characters, no it also brought us... the fans. Now if you lived during the release of Frozen you will remember, merch everywhere like everywhere, turn on the radio and there will be let it go. And with this Hype there were the fans, and Elsa was their Queen, but you see they had a problem... there was no one to ship her with. I cannot be 100% sure how it started but the Frozen fangirls found the big 4 and with them they found... Jack frost. Jelsa was born, but you see people shipped Jack with Rapunzel before... so they had to go... And the Shipping wars were on. The OG fans of the big four producing anti Jelsa edits, saying how toxic it is... and the age gape... Jack is 17 while Else was 21. So you had Jelsa shippers vs Jackunzel shippers... and there were the few who said ship none of them. Now the frozen fans were brutal. They forced Jackunzel fans to delete their blogs, stop posting about them and were just a wave against them. While Jackunzel fans tried to fight back... they lost.

And a Titan was born. The BIGGEST Big 4 edits till this day are the 2 Titans Jelsa Faded and Jelsa - You are the Reason with 154 Million and 67 Million views.

Now Jackunzel wasn’t the only ship to be ripped apart by frozen, Mericcup was also under fire, in favour of Hiccelsa but this was nowhere near as large as Jelsa as they wanted them together. But this meant that the Jelsa fans also went after Hijack. But there was also Jelsa vs Hiccelsa. But all of those were rather tame in the face of the hate that Jackunzel fans faced.

This was our Golden age... it isn’t great. It was terrible, but also it showed us that we didn’t need to just focus on the big 4, that we can still add characters to the story, it gave us the ability to adapt to whatever fandom we wanted to and so hundreds of spin offs of the big 4 were created, here is the WIKI idk if that’s all crossovers...

But liking Frozen at the end, it died down. And what was left from them was this wasteland with many big 4 blogs stopping or even deleting because of the Jelsa vs Jackunzel wars. And so, where in various stages, the other Ships. We were at our lowest point yet. This was the Dark Age.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Life In Reverse tops the list (11066), aka my 200k Loki-centric post-Thor AU fic that I wrote between 2012 and 2018 and with which I have a decidedly complex relationship at this point. I love it but also I no longer think it’s my best work but also I credit it with teaching me a fuck of a lot about writing and writing longer projects in general.

With Absolute Splendor is rapidly catching up, to my astonishment (6559), despite having been posted for less than half as long. Aka the wedding planning fic that’s really just me mucking about in my Jiang Cheng and my Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian feelings, at length.

some good mistakes (4618) was my first foray into the Untamed version of “characters who hate each other going on resentful roadtrips together, feat. Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng.” I have gone on to write others and will continue to write more.

Unraveling (3069) is a little bit of a surprise but also not - it was originally just sort of WWP stuff for my ‘what if people remembered that blunt force trauma is a really bad thing actually’ problem that pops up sometimes, re: Loki at the end of The Avengers, and then it kind of turned into a whole thing. I personally think it’s the weakest of the installments of the series it belongs to, but it is the first one and also the one that gets least into the broader family dysfunction and depression stuff that probably is less everyone’s thing (but is what came out this fic that mattered more to me, personally).

I am a little surprised to see Steve Rogers’ Halfway House for Notorious Supervillains (3068) here too! I was expecting one of the more...idk, mainstream concepts from the MCU to win out? But I also wasn’t expecting two Untamed fics to make it here, either. But I am stupid proud of this fic even if it is very extraordinarily unfinished. This is one of those unfinished fics that will nag at me unless and until I finish it, at least a little, because the concept - if I do say so myself - is so goddamn good and I think I was executing it pretty well, too.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Pretty much never. I was never very good at it and now I’d feel like I had to go back and reply to all of them and I just. I can’t do that. and when I do try to just start at the beginning I get overwhelmed very fast and start avoiding it.

Basically I decided that if it’s a decision between wrestling with myself to reply to comments versus actually doing more writing I’m going to end up landing on the latter as feeling both more doable and more productive.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

probably it’s The Worlds Forgotten, the Words Forbidden for sheer level of “so then what was the point” of it all. but like. I’ve definitely written a few extraordinarily miserable fics, and by “a few” I kind of mean “a lot.” Other nominees I’d put down might be nor autumn falter (for currently personally making me suffer most), once there was a way to get back home (for I think having the ouchiest summary), and Waiting for the Summer Rain (which remains one of my personal favorite Supernatural fics I wrote).

but like. there are 43 fics I have marked with Major Character Death warnings and every single one of those, pretty much, has a downer ending.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I have written several though not in a long time! My craziest probably remains the Morgoth/Cthulhu short I wrote that actually got sporked because someone took it seriously (???) enough to do that. But the craziest that actually has any merit, (I’d argue) is probably the Maeglin/Viserys one.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yeah, a few times on a few different things. More if you count “people who seem to like the fic but love telling you how much they hate the female characters you’re writing about in it” as ‘hate’ which I would but isn’t, you know, quite as straightforward. If I had a nickel for every time someone bitched about Jane in Life in Reverse, though...lots of nickels.

Do you write smut? if so what kind?

Sure do! But what does ‘what kind’ mean, I don’t know how to answer that question. I feel tempted to just put in my “Mike’s Hard Kinks” image edit in this space.

I guess usually I tend to write smut that at least involves a little bit of a kink? I don’t think I’d feel comfortable writing entirely kinkless smut. I think I’d feel weird about it, the same way I do when I write really nice fic, generally.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I think I did back when but I don’t remember anything about it. I feel like it was one of those mass data scraping things where my fic happened to be among those caught up in it.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have! several actually, mostly into Russian and Chinese. every time it happens I’m immensely flattered that someone wants to put in that kind of work on something I wrote.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I think I’d be very, very bad at it.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

Depends on when you ask me! I could probably give you a top five but then I’d remember six that I forgot to mention five minutes later. I guess if I were to think about ships that feel like they hold very special particular places in my heart... Xue Yang/Xiao Xingchen, Steve Rogers/Loki, and Min/Rand come to mind.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

oh god do you want the whole list cause honestly I could just like. screencap the entirety of my “in progress” folder with a crying emoji watermarked over it. and that’s not getting into the fics that are like...half formed babies in my consciousness but not anywhere on paper.

and also I just hate to admit that I might not finish something.

you know what? the Lucifer/Good Omens crossover I started would’ve been a lot of fun. I’m probably never going to finish it, but it would’ve been great if I had. I know other people did it too but my contribution could’ve been amazing.

I can say this very boldly with the near certainty that I’m not going to finish the fic so no one will be able to disagree.

(...also the Last Herald-Mage fix it. that was going to be a good fic too, and also will probably languish unfinished forever.)

What are your writing strengths?

I’m pretty sure dialogue is my strongest point. Dialogue and emotions, which is why I always end up just wanting to write about characters talking and having feelings at each other.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing action sequences throws me into conniptions every time I have to do it and I will take drastic actions sometimes to avoid doing it at all, which probably weakens the work as a whole.

Also, I don’t plan ahead and this means I write myself into corners kind of a lot. If I wasn’t writing long, dense fic it wouldn’t be a problem but here we are.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I tend to avoid it unless it’s in the context of, as in CQL/MDZS fic, leaving certain terminology untranslated. I’m pretty sure I almost never write full exchanges of dialogue in a different language than I’m using for the narration within a fic, and generally speaking my reaction to other people doing it is at least mildly negative.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter was technically the first fandom I wrote for, but it was a crack fic I wrote to make my friends laugh more than anything; I tend to count Wheel of Time as my first actual fandom for which I wrote my first actual fic.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

some days the answer is “all of them” and some day the answer is “I don’t like anything I’ve written in my entire life” and I never like giving this a definitive answer. yesterday I reread efforts in a common cause (the bound copy!! thanks @spockandawe) and you know what, that was a good fic and I’m proud of it, so I’m going with that one, for this meme, today.

The Masked Singer Season 6 Costumes (Ranking & Opinions/Guesses)

Hello everyone! We are back baby! Welcome (or welcome back) to Ana's Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, talk about this not so little show called The Masked Singer, not sure if you have heard of it lol. IT’S SEASON 6 TIME EVERYONE, which means that when a new season is upon us, we gotta rate some costumes (hey, I do make the rules, and that’s a special tradition we do here in case you are new… if you are new, hi, welcome, have a seat, get a cookie, some dinner, whatever you would like, and relax we are about to go on a ride of sorts with costumes). Having said that, let’s get started!

Preface: The show will air September 22 and 23 as a two night premiere and costumes are being revealed little by little at the moment (When I am writing this, idk how many contestants there will be in total so this might be more than 1 part long)

Preface over… introducing the new costumes! *INITATE DRUMROLL PLEASE*

1. Banana Split 🍌🍨

Thoughts: It’s a cute idea ngl…. It kinda makes me sad that there was already a banana costume and an ice cream costume and they just kinda put it together, but it’s still an adorable idea. I love pair costumes on the show, so this is very cute, the cartoon nature of it is super fun.

Prediction: (I am gonna put a prediction on who I think it could be, like whether it’s an athlete, musician, a pair of siblings, a couple, etc.) I think they are a couple, probably married or played a married couple on TV… I am also gonna dream cast this for fun: my dream cast for Banana Split would be either Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard or Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy (who played Fran and Max on The Nanny, who were love interests/a married couple on the show)

First Clue: 3 pair of 🎲 with the numbers adding to 6

2. Hamster 🐹

Thoughts: it’s soooo fluffy and cute omg I love it… I really hope this is a good singer because I just love this costume, it is too cute to be sent home the first week (I’m looking at you Gremlin). Everything about this costume is so cool and whimsical, any child (and me) would go crazy for the hamster.

Prediction: My brain automatically goes to an athlete who can sing (hopefully) but from experience with the show, this seems like an athlete would be under this mask… but another part of me thinks it might be an actor, so I am torn between the 2: actor or athlete (hopefully who can sing ok)… probably male I predict. Dream cast actor wise would be Jack Black and athlete wise I have no idea because I know close to nothing about sports and I don’t wanna embarrass myself here with names

First Clue: A whistle

Rating: 10/10!

3. Cupcake 🧁

Thoughts: This is a costume I have been waiting for a while… I love I so much. It reminds me of the cupcake float from Victorious (if anyone knows that reference I applaud you) and I really love it honestly.

Prediction: An actress or/and singer (female), I low key want it to be like one of the actresses I grew up on like anyone who used to be on Nickelodeon or Disney Channel… so my dream cast would be between Liz Gillies (who played Jade on Victorious), Victoria Justice (Tori also on Victorious) or Sabrina Carpenter (from Girl Meets World on Disney Channel)

First Clue: 🧭 pointing North

Rating: 10/10!

4. Mallard (Duck) 🦆

Thoughts: Wow, this one is really dope and dapper looking, it kind of reminds me of Giraffe from season 4, I really like the look of it. Also, I heard from the preview that he can sing a mean country song, so I’m excited, I hope he’s good, fingers crossed.

Prediction: From what Robin Thicke said in the preview, perhaps a country singer or an actor who can sing country. My dream cast would probably be Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, or LeAnn Rimes’s husband (who was on that Netflix show about country music so I guess he can do a country song idk) Eddie Cibrian

First Clue: Red telephone ☎️

5. Dalmatian 🐶

Thoughts: This one is also pretty cool, I really hope someone in sports isn’t under there because that would be way too predictable… it reminds me of last season’s Bulldog mask which ended up being Nick Cannon… but like cooler for some reason

Prediction: I’m gonna go off the cuff here (since those kind of responses work for this show lol) and I think it might be a rapper of some sort, similar to like Frog or Chameleon. My dream cast for this one would probably be Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg (lolll get it… probably not tho), or Chance the Rapper

First Clue: Eagles 🦅

Rating: 9/10

6. Octopus 🐙

Thoughts: This is my first time seeing the octopus, since it was just revealed today… but I really like the vibe, even though it is a bit of an unconventional twist on an octopus. I like the idea of an octopus for this season since so many international versions have it and the American one really needed it. It’s cool ngl, I was hoping for more of an authentic octopus tentacle thing instead of just the pants but it is cool regardless

Prediction: I think this is a male actor or singer, someone a bit older or someone popular from the 80s or 90s. I am in between like a member of Boyz 2 Men, Ted Danson, or Lance Bass for a dream cast.

First Clue: Cookie 🍪 dunked in milk 🥛

Rating: 8/10

7. Bull 🐂

Thoughts: I really like what Masked Singer did with the bull, making it look like a Spanish matador which is super cool and also ironic in a funny way. It looks really cool, kinda reminds me of the Dragon from season 4. I like it a lot tbh.

Prediction: I think this might be a male actor or musician… I am thinking similar my prediction to Octopus, either older or popular from the 80s-90s. Again, dream cast wise, I would say someone from Boyz 2 Men, AJ McClain from Backstreet Boys, or like a legend like Paul McCartney

First Clue: Lions and Tigers

Rating: 9/10

8. Queen of Hearts 🫀

Thoughts: It’s a dope costume, but the one eye and the mouth is kinda creepy looking tbh. I do like the idea of an actual heart with a crown being the Queen of Hearts instead of like a similar thing to Alice in Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts.

Prediction: Probably a female actress or TV personality (probably from reality TV perhaps), age wise I am not too sure but it might be a shorter girl. Dream cast wise I would say Liza Koshy, Nicole Richie, or Paris Hilton.

First Clue: Horses

Rating: 8/10

9. Baby 👶🏼

Thoughts: Damn, that’s a creepy baby and Masked Singer confirmed on Instagram that it was their biggest costume yet, which their previous biggest one was 7 feet, so a huge baby makes it even more terrifying like wow! However, having said that, part of me is pretty intrigued to see who the hell is under this mask. I’m sure they cannot sing tho…

Prediction: My mind straight goes to an male athlete because that would be so funny and kind of a troll on Masked Singer’s part… and that’s most of the big people we have seen thus far. So, dream cast wise, you are allowed to laugh at me but my mind immediately went to Shaq (Shaquille O’Neal) because he’s huge and if you are gonna go big for someone, it would be for Shaq.

First Clue: "This pacifier sucker never claimed to be classy, especially when I get gassy"

Rating: 6/10

10. Beach Ball 🏖

Thoughts: Yeah, there is no way a human could fit in that thing, but it’s cool regardless… I also saw that it has two faces. That’s super interesting to me honestly, it reminds me of Snail from last season who ended up being a Muppet, so this is a bit reminiscent of that. I like it, this is the most intriguing one thus far.

Prediction: As I kind of hinted at in my thoughts, I feel like this is a Muppet or puppet of some kind, round two! There might be more than one puppet in there because of the two faces, but I am gonna assume one for dream cast reasons, I really want it to be Miss Piggy because it would be funny with Kermit being there last season.

First Clue: 2 band-aids shaped like an X

Fandoms: Dragon Age

Most popular oneshot: on AO3 it’s probably and you are starry, starry, starry. But that’s only out of two that I’ve posted. 

Most popular multichapter: by kudos it’s my old vampire knight fic. By comments per chapter I think it’s probably my Fenders fic the life that, here, awaits.

Actual worst part of writing: Editing and posting. Any part that’s about trying to make the story readable/thinking about people reading it instead of just getting it out of my brain for the fun of it.

How you choose your titles: I read over and try to think of an overall theme and if I can think of an interesting way of wording that then good. Usually I end up resorting to song lyrics though.  

Do you outline?: Yeah I like writing outlines. I don’t have to stick to them but it’s nice to have an idea of where I’m going before I start writing.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?: I keep thinking about Warden!Bethany/Female Cousland… After her joining Bethany gets sent to Vigil’s keep. She’s having a hard time adjusting to being a Warden and it really doesn’t help that her new commander is kind of an asshole… cue the slow burn enemies to lovers… maybe they get trapped in the Deep Roads together? idk it could be fun…

Callouts @ Me: Stop freaking out every time you post something thinking everyone’s gonna hate it. Even if they did, it wouldn’t matter. You’d be fine. Just relax!

Hi again people who follow me!

I’m bored and I’ve decided to make fun facts about our DID system and the four known alters!

So before I start- Lilith has a bit of a show today, but the body was too tired for her to start anything. Like I feel asleep as soon as I got to class. The reason I know this is because of my outfit and she decided to put on lip gloss (which I never wear personally). She’s not conscious currently, none of the other three are, and I’ll get to that later!

Let’s start with Levin!

Levin is the alter that co-cons often or will switch with me

He knows a lot about our system, but is very secretive about it so~

He is the only male alter in the system that I know of

He also goes by Levi and Lev

He likes more soft songs and songs with a good message

His favorite color is forest green

He’s the only alter that Lilith does not take her anger out on

He’s an introvert with really bad social anxiety

He hates sexual songs (so of course being me, I put two of the worst sexual songs I know in his playlist, he doesn’t know)

He has insomnia and ptsd

He’s extremely competitive when it comes to card games

He likes educating people on animals and wants to do gigs, like birthday parties and events, to teach people about reptiles and birds specifically

His favorite subject is English

He is white with blue eyes and dark brown hair. He’s thin, well more twig like, but whatever. He’s around 5’8 (two inches taller than the body)

His clothes style is baggy shirts with either baggy sweatpants or leggings. He wear plain colors, like pale blues, grays, and black. He, surprisingly, likes boots, even heeled boots

His favorite anime is... probably Durarara x2 any season

He has no sexual desires, but romantic likes girls

He’s 18

He’s very comfortable singing, he loves it. That a major way he expresses himself

His favorite song is... I think LA Devotee by P!ATD (idk why but that what he likes)

She is named after Adam’s first wife, the demon queen, Lilith (yes she liked to go church, but we stopped going)

She is a bisexual

She’s ageless (she has no age, or if she does she hasn’t told anyone)

She’s an absolute bitch and she knows it.

She has violent mood swings and anger issues (respectfully so)

She is also an introvert, but not because of anxiety, no it’s because she wants to strangle every single person that looks at her weird

She hates Little with the burning passion

She gets repressed the most because no one wants to be expelled from school

She likes cooking

She hates cleaning because of her ocd

She wants to pursue a culinary job

Her favorite subject is science

She rarely fronts and when she does it’s quick or someone is co-con with her (ex. What happened with aleia-clownery)

Lennox(me) has to clean up her messes as always.

Lilith has wavy black hair with blue highlights. Her eyes are a brownish red color. She’s short, like 5’2, and likes to wear heels because of it. She’s black as well

Little is Hispanic and on the chunky side. She has a caramel skin tone. She can understand it way better than me (Lennox) and she wants to learn Japanese and French (I’m interested in Japanese so we’re probably going to learn it)

Her favorite subject was College Writing Prep and before that was Language Arts, but the writing part of it. She really likes writing

Her favorite color is... honestly black. She likes that it matches with everything and likes the science of black too

Her favorite anime is Ouran High School Host Club (I hate it with the burning passion) her second choice is Black Butler (any season) which we allow her to watch

The first anime I’ve ever watched was Wolf’s Rain. I was seven I think, but it was on YouTube so I didn’t get to watch the whole thing. I recently found it, but I’m afraid to watch it lmao

I like the colors teal and turquoise, as well as blood red and jet black

I like anything P!ATD, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boys, Set It Off, Alec Benjamin, OneRepublic, and Nico Collins and AJR(granted so does everyone else but 🤷)

I’m a neutral party in everything, so when I say I don’t know, I don’t care, whatever, or not my business, I’m literally saying I have no standing or opinion in this

I like cooking, baking, organizing (not cleaning), writing, reading, doodling, and doing self introduced projects for fun

I like plaid clothing, hoodies, and pride shirts. I like sweatpants and sneakers. I also like things on my neck... it keeps me ground I guess

(Oh my god I’m writing this with Ella, right? I told her to stop clawing at the furniture, right? All of a sudden her focus is on the ground and I wiggles my toes, testing if she was looking at my feet, and I started moving them around. I told her, ‘stop looking at my feet.’ This cat, this puta, liked me in the eyes before looking back down and got in position to lunge at my feet. My heart stopped and I pulled my feet onto the couch. And she was going to do it because the moment I moved my feet, she jumped from the top of the couch she’s on... she scares me sometimes 😣)

Onto how our system works!

Levin and I co-con often. If I’m not in control, then he is

On instances where I get angry, Lilith takes control

Little co-cons with me more than everyone else because she enjoys annoying me

Lilith and Little are both so stubborn and hardheaded, it’s unbelievable. On the other hand, Levs and I are open minded and calm. So we often clash on what we should do as a collective

Lilith is a Christian, Levi and I are atheists, and Little is a Seventh Day Adventist (the religion I grew up with). However Lev and I hold more say, so we don’t go to church

I guess you could say there’s a hierarchy in the system. I have the most important say, then Lev, then Little, and lastly Lilith

Levin and I enjoy co-conning with each other only, anyone else gives us headaches

Everyone loves Nico Collins, Alec Benjamin, Set It Off, and AJR the most

Everyone’s favorite albums are Death of a Bachelor (p!atd), Cinematics (set it off), and American Beauty/American Psycho (fall out boys)

Everyone loves sushi and sushi rolls (California and Philadelphia rolls are the best)

We all really want to try takoyaki and pork Katsudon. When we do try them, I’ll probably make a post about it

We all love Ella and we all want to start a rehabilitation center of all animals and a pet cafe

We love reptiles, like all reptiles, venomous snakes included

I think there are more alters that just aren’t as prominent as the other three, Levin would know but he doesn’t like to discuss our system often

Edit: this total slipped my mind- when I’m on my red week (you know what I’m talking about) the others let me deal with it on my own, especially Little and Lev (Lev hates that week and recedes completely)

The whole point of valentines day is to yell about how much you love someone (at least that’s how I see it) so that’s exactly what I intend to do! Story you were nervous to post: uh, none i guess? maybe the ones that were gifts tbh, which would be sing it out like it’s never been sung, an angus-barry-lup bonding fic where they dunk on demonic PTA moms for @charmandhex, the lucretia fic linked above for @hoothootmotherf-ckers, take your sword protector of them all, which is my julia lives au fic for bo, and take a shot in the face of fear for tori whose tumblr i do not remember, which is a stolen century fake marriage au with magnus and lucretia where they and barry have to fight a giant Infernal eggplant goddess. yeah. it’s a fun one!

Do you outline: almost not at all lmao. i have some notes for the tax fic, linked above, but other than that it’s mostly just in my head

How many of your stories are complete: 28/29! the tax fic is done, even tho all the chapters aren’t posted yet, and everything else is done except for one fic

How many of your stories are in progress: the only one i’m still working on, since i finished the tax fic, is like the bonfire that burns in worth, which is my relics as dragons au. that one’s going incredibly slowly for reasons i’m not quite clear on, but i’ll finish it!

Coming soon: uuuuuuhhhh, dunno! idk who might have noticed this, but my output on fic has slowed dramatically. i wouldn’t say i’m done, but i haven’t really had anything strike me recently. mostly it’s just gonna be me picking away at the dragon!relics au tbh

I haven’t written yet, but I do have a lot of ideas to go off now. unfortunately, a lot of involves re-writing stuff. on the one hand, I don’t want to be stuck on the same chapters, but on the other hand, I just Won’t be able to continue unless I add it in. I know a lot of people say “just write, don’t edit” but those aren’t the rules bc there is none and I can do what I want. (pls fix? no being stuck!!! only edit!)

here’s a long post about things I’m planning on adding, as well as headcanons about my own damn story because I’m stuck in fanfic mode forever.

lots of spoilers ahead! 

a horse motif for Renato: I remember when namme-e made the posters, one had a horse on it, which I reckon is a common association with knights. so far there have been 2 horses (well, one is a Kelpie, but it’s a water horse shh. I also found out Northumbrian folk/where Llantry is based call them Brags!) and there will be more horses later in the story. they’re recurring anyway, so why not use it. 

and upon looking at it’s symbolism, I realised that horses are very duty bound creatures, like Renato is to the people of Llantry, they symbolise war/battles - which can bring in memories of his dad, and in comparison to the first horse (which dies in chapter 5... some unintentional symbolism there) Isbeil the Kelpie is much more free and independant and they’re at the Fun part of the road trip, and the Nukelavee (even more dangerous than kelpies) later on will be wild/untamed right about when Renato’s emotions will be in turmoil... you see where I’m going with this :D :D other contenders for motifs include: hands, mirrors/reflections, his shield/armour, dragons. swords are more of a precision tool for magic than a weapon in this universe so that wouldn’t work as a motif.

a candy motif for Pepi: you thought I made him a candy merchant intentionally? no. not at all. except now it is. candy represents good memories, childhood, rewards, pleasure, reminds him of his dad’s business, responsibility in maintaining the business, his family, his lack of magic/inability to make candy, having to do Tammy’s chores for her, and just Tammy in general I guess. 

in the beginning I remember him being enthusiastic about it (if he’s not I’ll add it in lol), singing about it and complaining about being “a candy delivery boy turned overworked squire” and even from that you can tell he already has a complicated relationship with candy. he can’t make it but he sells it and hates selling it but when he talks/sings about it it attracts people, especially children.. perhaps engaging his own inner child too... in chapter 3 Pepi mentioned he was down to two bags, which means he held onto them despite selling out the rest... representing that he’s still holding onto his past even though it’s in the past and gone... and one day he’ll run out and it won’t be in his control and he won’t be able to get any more unless he goes home... which means FACING HIS PAST. so I’m thinking, if he becomes more neutral to it that’ll show how he views his past more healthily? then eat fruit instead?? idk.

magic based on senses: kind of ATLA inspired, but with the 5 physical senses (and a spooky 6th). as I started writing this I realised I probably based their powers depending on which god chose them, for example Lidion is the god of protection, so Renato gets protection based powers. but y’know, I had another idea as I wrote this lmao, what if the regular civillians/people born with magic have sense based magic? not sure if it’s a little ambitious to have 2 entirely different sets of magic. maybe the god powers can be based on senses too. initially the magic was based entirely off of DND classes (Renato’s a paladin and Pepi’s a wild magic sorcerer) but I think I’ve found something more original haha. or perhaps I accidentally moved onto Greek god/Percy Jackson-esque powers. crap. research says scottish mythology is kinda like Greek myths anyway: that’s a win in my book. 

changing Finlay from a floating crystal ball to a bird: introduced in chapter 2, and EVERYTIME I WRITE I FORGET ABOUT FINLAY. it’s like a personal meme at this point. so anyway I took a “what core type are you quiz” a while back and Pepi got adventurecore after I chose bird as his inner animal. making this change will make sense because a) Pepi can talk to animals and this will foreshadow it, b) he likes music and this might be his magic type..? c) Disney needs a mascot character if they’re going to make FM a movie

I just read some bird symbolism and GOD I want to make Finlay a chicken, since it symbolises finding inner power, getting over fear and also it’s very funny to me. or a duck since that symbolises decisiveness and leaving the past in the past. see there’s a lot of things I can do here. but is there such a thing as having too many motifs? I just read that you CAN have more than one, so yes, Finlay will now become a duck. 15 year old/duck obsessed me would be very happy.

empahsizing the illness: plural illnesses actually. Llantry’s illness is actually depression - which they didn’t know bc this is set around the 15th century and the gods forgot to tell them about it or something - caused by overusing their magic, the death of Renato’s dad (public morale figure), poverty, and y’know the middle ages in general. I feel like Renato’s way too upbeat, especially in chapter 4 when they’re running away from the Wakefield Knights. before now I was trying to weave in mood swings which would affect his behaviour and therefore the story. admittedly it’s very difficult, as what they’re doing generally requires a lot of energy and the tone is usually light. someone suggested having his depression be worse when the situation is worse, which I probably will do, but I still feel he could be more low-key. I really, really didn’t want to use the “happy and sad duo” trope, I wanted them to be more or less equal in demeanour. though if I want to portray his depression and distinguish them both it’ll have to be exaggerated I suppose. 

the second illness, Pepi’s anxiety. or well, it was initially anxiety but it’s starting to look more like OCD (that’s self projection for ya). some of my readers already figured out he can do magic, however it’s not that he doesn’t realise it. he casts spells in his sleep and thinks it’s his “evil self” (that idea is still TBC), and he sneaks off in the morning because he remembers sleepwalking and cleans up his mess. and to avoid making it look like schizophrenia, I’m planning to write it so it’s obvious he’s just very in denial about being able to do magic, because later it’s revealed he’s scared to use magic, because he doesn’t want to end up like his sister who became possessed by an evil being and abused magic, which for him is both a rational and irrational fear. avoiding magic could be considered a compulsion since he has intrusive thoughts about becoming evil. 

so I did already plan for him to gradually get more restless and uneasy, he’s supposed to be seem energetic bc he runs solely on anxiety. in my head I was thinking of quirks, and realized him hoarding stuff in his pockets “in case he needs it later” and his insane amount of GUILT, and all that felt pretty OCD. so why not: he’s got OCD. possibly PTSD too.

the idea for Finding Magic began as “magic takes part of your soul, 2 wizards search for help as their magic stops working”. I still have the exact post it note I wrote the first idea on. for this story I have 2 countries, 13 semi-developed towns, over 30 characters. (yes, not Tolkien numbers, but I’m not Writers George) and the reason I wasn’t able to write about ANY of them for the past 2 months is because my brain spirals and ruminates over miniscule details that readers will never know. also because I lost passion, was too tired to develop characters I needed to develop the story to finish the first draft... but now that the passion is back: I’m writing this at 5am, which is reminiscent of the first day I came up with FM, back then called Journey to Magic, where I couldn’t sleep since I was bursting with ideas. 

I guess this is what I find fun, analysing and improving and brainstorming. so while I might not have chapters written down, they’re pretty damn clear in my head and as you can see, I can talk up a storm about my story despite it not existing :D

some cdp facts

last hiatus i made the crime does p(l)ay(list), (and the one i made this arc too!) and people seemed to like that! i also referenced making this in my ‘five fun facts’ post, so, here you are!!

below the cut there are few arc one/two spoilers, so if you haven’t read cdp yet, go give it a read and then come back here!

more than half of the plot was written after chapter seven, which is why some of the characters seem a bit different in their personalities there than after. 

i nearly completely forget that Wes got beat up in ch 5 and I almost wrote him without his rib and facial injuries

CDP was originally only supposed to be ~15 chapters, as i thought that i’d have run out of steam by now. boy was i wrong.

Leo was never meant to be a heavily focused character, and he was only going to be in the ‘raven room’ chapter. the role Leo plays was originally supposed to be done by a different character altogether. the character he’s based off of is from the original plotline, where instead of Damien feuding with Leo, it’s Joven feuding with the xiaolong’s leader’s daughter, who was characterized as being very loyal to both her father and the gang. her characterization (brash, commanding, and loyal), turned into Linghun. she was supposed to threaten Joven and act as a distraction before disappearing after arc one, probably having been killed off in the gauntlet

kate was supposed to be a one off character, but i ended up loving writing for her, (and i needed a character who was involved in Mari’s crime scene clean-up), so i added her to joven’s backstory, and gave her some more personality

ryan todd was supposed to have bigger sway in arc one, and have it end with his accidental death, but i wrote a few lines for his podcast and he ended up sticking around.

sunny was also supposed to have a much bigger role, but he didn’t fit super well, and i ended up keeping him to the sidelines

the only characters that were locked in to existing were the main five, the strippers, sohinki and lasercorn, and matt raub. everyone else was written in later.

mari was the first one to get a backstory, boze was the last.

though this has been briefly (albeit not explicitly) mentioned throughout the fic, the canonic ages of each character are as follows: Mari - 26; Joven - 27; Damien - 22; Boze - 24; Wes - 26; Courtney - 25; Shayne - 23; Noah - 21; Keith - 24; Olivia - 22; Sohinki - 25; Lasercorn - 30; Kate - 26; Sarah - 29; Matt Raub - 38; Leo - 24; Sunny - 37; Tim - 32

Most of the characters also didn’t have solid ages until arc two

i actually have mockups for the official Jackrabbit logo in my google doc for the plot (might post it for fun idk). i’ve done a few sketches, but the official logo has been recorded in there. i might make something out of it if i manage to finish all of CDP

the second thing i planned out for CDP after chapter one was the epilogue chapter that will follow arc three. and i basically knew how the fic would end the moment i started it.

CDP arcs all take place over varying amounts of time, arc one roughly takes place over several weeks and arc two takes place over four months. (i’m still trying to plan out how long -time skip wise- arc thee is going to take)

CDP begins roughly in the beginning of November (due to the fact that that’s when i started writing it), but time acts differently in the story as there are never any concrete ‘dates’. Wes mentions it being january in ch 35, and damien mentions that it’s february in ch 43, but those are the only times i really gave actual months

there was very nearly going to be a christmas episode, but i felt like it messed with the pacing too much

i wrote most of the pre-CDP plot/backstory at the end of plotting out the fic

The name ‘Xiaolong’ is actually a word in Chinese. I meant the word to be ‘dragons’, but after consulting two of my Chinese-speaking friends they have both informed me that it actually means ‘little dragon’. once again google has disappointed me, but given me a nice name.

The original name for the Xiaolong was the ‘Swhi Zi Long’ which (very roughly) translates to ‘blood of the dragon’

I still can’t spell the Russian words for ‘bear brotherhood’ correctly, which is why I frequently refer to them as just ‘the brotherhood’

Kate’s number, referenced in chapter 12, is 555-0930. The final four numbers is the date Kate and Joven got married

the Jackrabbit’s address - 1301 Verloren street is a mix of two different things. 13, the day i was born, 01, the year i was born, and ‘Verloren’, which is the verb for ‘to forget’ in german

damien references something in one of his early chapters that can be seen as somewhat of foreshadowing to what happens in chapter 55

a single chapter of CDP, (which are roughly between 1,500-4,000) can take anywhere from 2-7 hours to write, depending on my focus and depth of editing

the shortest chapter of cdp is around 1,000 words and the longest chapter is 5,400 words long

there’s a base 64 easter egg in chapter 43. (the code that leo gives to damien to unlock the storage space translates to a french phrase, (la douleur exquise), which basically means ‘the heart wrenching pain of wanting someone you can't have’. and if that ain’t a mood with leo’s feelings towards damien.)

the final five chapters of arc two were supposed to be formatted very differently. the arc was supposed to end with a damien chapter, but i felt like it messed with pacing too much to add more people’s points of view. instead we got some extra stuff and some cute coze interactions and more boze backstory, so it payed off well!

unlike arc one, the plots of each of the chapters of arc two were written WAY before i published them. some of them changed based on how the characters changed, but most of them have been the same, 

the bare plot for arc one is roughly 3.5 pages long, the bare plot for arc two is 5 pages long, and the bare plot for arc three is 7 pages long

there will be 35 chapters this arc, as well as one, most likely very long epilogue chapter.

Mari’s heart was pumping out of her chest.

The ambulance sirens wailed around her as she followed closely behind in her car. The technicians hadn’t looked hopeful as they’d loaded the bodies into the back of the van.

There had been so much blood.

She’d been standing in the back, barely paying attention, trying to focus on the set numbers. Then the explosion had bloomed across the room. She had felt the sonic hum deep in her chest, and the ringing in her ears still burned, even now.

Mari slammed her fist into the steering wheel, letting out an ear splitting shriek as she let her emotions bubble over. Her friends might be dead. She had never thought that it would actually come it this.

She thought that they were safe now that the Titans were gone.

Sohinki’s words now echoed hauntingly in the back of her head.

The ambulance in front of her ripped into the hospital parking lot. Personel in white coats and white gloves ran with crash carts from the front door as soon as the ambulance stopped.

Mari found a parking spot quickly, putting the car into park before running towards the van, barely thinking to lock her car behind her. She could see them pull a gurney out of the back, moving it quickly towards the front entrance as doctors and ER techs shouted numbers at one another. Joven stepped out of the back, out of breath and sweaty, covered in blood.

So I actually stopped typing because I had my hands clamped over my mouth for like the last five minutes of the episode (in a GOOD WAY though)

4. I’m guessing we need this twist because Zuko’s not ready to fully give up on the Fire Nation as-is yet – so he’s gonna fall in for a while and then, presumably make his decision to leave. Which he needs, because before when he left the fire nation the decision was made FOR HIM and now he needs to make it FOR HIMSELF. idk. it’s just a theory.

5. AANG NEARLY LITERALLY DIED AND I NEARLY DIED WITH HIM OH MY GOD

Update 18/9/18

my stories lately have been... troubling. I’ve started, stopped, restarted and thrown out many ideas over the last few months so here’s an update on where everything's at for all my stories thus far. starting off- my posted stories! A Life With Magic- Chapter 4, Pending Darker Souls- Rewrite in progress. Chapter 13 Pending (not sure where that ones going but i’m not ready to give up on it) Isn’t this ment to be Impossible?- Chapter 3 ready for edits. Chapter 4 in progress. Chat Box Mayhem- Chapter 3...???? its somewhere. and now, Unposted. this is gonna get long guys since im gonna be adding mini discriptions. Divinity- Voldemort wins but the public is still against him. left with no other choice he sets out of gain teh favor of an Angel, the lighest being her could find. unforunately for him the only angel around is a young man abused by people all his life... and he wont be easy to convince. Harry/Diary!Tom A Divine Kind of Dark- Master of Death Harry is sent back to his original realm to entertain death and keep magicals safe from muggle hands. his first stop? making sure Voldemort doesn’t cause a scene. he probably should have considered the repercusions of giving the man a decent body back... but hey, hey has a cute crystal fox so- what could go wrong? Voldemort can fuck off. he has bigger things to fry then Dark Lords trying to take over a school... Glitter and Gold- Diana Potter deveolped an Obscurial at age 5 and Petunia Dursley moved both her and Dudley out of Vernon's house at age 7. getting an in with the avangers at 14 was luck. getting captured by Voldemort a few days before Thanos fucked over the universe was... annoying.Potterverse/CWDC universe How to steal a Dark Lord- Wrong-boy-who-lived! Lily raises Harry in france with Leonard Snart. coming back to Britain for the triwizard tornument no ones sure what to think of the Hadrian Snart... a boy who looks rimarkably like Richard Potter. least of all Tom Riddle. Meta Magic- Harry Potter ends up in the CWDCU. this idea isn't 100% fleshed out. will see where it goes.there's more but... they dont have to do with Harry Potter. and im not sure where they're going to be honest so i think i'll leave this post here. any of the bolded stories are ones that have made good (aka any) progress in the last month.

Okay guys it’s about time we did this properly. This is Q.

John de Lancie is pretty much my single most long lived childhood crush so bear with me because this is a love post as much as it’s explanatory to those people who absolutely need to know. Q is a hugely significant character to the genre, and De Lancie appeared in three different series of Star Trek as the character (I’ll get to that). He’s basically the Star Trek universe’s trickster god (and on many worlds he’s even worshipped/feared as such, or as chaos, or mischief, or in one implication Loki *COUGHCOUGH*). So significant is the character in fact that Discord, the dragon in MLP, is also voiced by De Lancie.

Q introduced himself to the crew of the Enterprise-D as “Q”, but went on to explain that he is a Q (a member of the Q Continuum) and therefore other Q are called Q too. When Q was introduced, he was putting humanity on trial. If they failed, the Q would exterminate them, and if they passed...well. The implication has always been imo that humanity has the capability to become essentially Q, and that’s where the evolutionary arc is leading them. What’s fascinating, however, is that the more time Q spends around humanity, the more it affects him as well. Seen as rebellious, he’s considered an outcast by the rest of the Continuum at one point, but is brought back into the fold later on to resolve issues. He has a whole character arc within the three series he’s in which is expanded on by the books.

Since I enjoy a good story about multidimensional beings that become more human as time goes on, and the quest for humanity in general, I sort of love him to death. Also this:

P.S. The trial that Q puts the Enterprise crew through? Spoilers: it’s the entire seven season run.

According to the books (and Q himself), the Q have always existed. He wasn’t ‘born’, but he did experience a coming of age, and my favorite book followed Q as he explored his powers, wandering around the universe making dodgy friends with other interdimensional beings. Despite this upbringing Q eventually does what no Q ever has before and makes a little baby Q (called Junior, played briefly as a baby by De Lancie’s own son on ST: Voyager). He then has to raise him and teach him his values, though the kid has serious superpowers (like our Jack) and other things on his mind.

Q is capricious. In the beginning he can give zero shits about mortals and their problems. Ultimately he maybe gives only one or two shits about mortals and their problems, but it’s an improvement.

His powers are basically anything he wants he gets. He can teleport into people’s beds, seduce them with puppies, instantly transport a ship 75000 light years in a blink of an eye, shrink it down to the size of a christmas tree decoration and put it on a christmas tree on the actual ship that’s shrunk down, generate dancing girls, and whine about EVERYTHING EVER in a totally endearing way.

Oh and there was that one time Sisko punched him in the face. Picard never did that, though for Picard Q was much more of a nemesis, introducing the crew of the Enterprise to the Borg among other things. And appearing in his bed. And basically acting like superior intellectual gatekeeper to the universe.

Not to mention he basically wore the captain’s uniform to mock and undermine him from the get go. (There’s only one captain on a starship after all, so this was Q mirroring Picard deliberately to challenge his authority)

Just as in any search for humanity story, Q experiences being human, but ultimately he doesn’t really like it very much. This is after he experiences falling asleep for the first time:

Powers are where it’s at for Q. He has a superiority complex that is pretty unparalleled, biting sarcasm, and is used to explore just how a being with unlimited power might act in any situation, and how in some ways the lack of humanity is a weakness. Q is not bound by general rules of physics. He’s much more aware of multiverses, scoffs at the passage of time, manipulates gravity and relative dimensions in space.

Not to mention the Continuum itself (the place not the species), which exists outside of our universe and is.......basically the most boring place ever. Where is the lie?

Oh and there was that one time he pretended to be God for shits and giggles

And tried to seduce Janeway because he admired her or something. (Or actually cause he was being a bratty rebel but whatever). And like I mentioned already he tried to seduce her with puppies.

And both intentionally started and ended a civil uprising in the Continuum because he was sick of being predictable (even though the civil war literally resulted in stars exploding and other awful cosmic things)

Long story short I love this guy. And there’s no doubt there’s a little bit of De Lancie in Misha’s Qstiel. Now you know (and shame on you! go watch some Star Trek!)

(Edit: tldr: Q is a cosmic entity with the power to transform his appearance and manipulate the universe around him. He’s more powerful than God (even literally in his canon), and even once appeared to a character when they were ‘dead’ to mock them and force them to confront their past before returning them to their life to live it better. He also put humanity on trial for all its mistakes via the Enterprise crew. He’s also a mocking little shit with a superiority complex who likes to get things his own way.)

Yes, you can ask!! I’ll gladly tell you about my projects!! 

Sadly, as of right now, I don’t have any original content published (even tho I wanted to get that started by the age of 24 >.> ) I dO, however, have a couple of original projects in the works that I can tell you about!! The first is a novel I’ve written and am in the process of editing, and the second is an online illustrated novel I’m working on with @wolfpainters

THE FIRST is a novel (the first in a series) that I’ve written, read through and hand edited on a hard copy, and now need to go through and edit the digital copy. Once that’s done, I can look into publishing options. Unfortunately, it’s very long, and I’m struggling to make time for it among my other projects, but it’s coming along very slowly but surely ^^

I haven’t written up an official synopsis yet, but I can try to give you a quick and dirty of it rn... Oh jeez, okay, there’s a lot, so I struggle to try to tell everything concisely, lol. It’s about this world that exists very closely to our own, in it’s own universe. There are specific spots where the barriers between the worlds are thinnest. Therra has six races native to that world, and thousands of years ago, humans trickled in through the gap between worlds, spreading and creating kingdoms in their own right. Shit goes down, they decide to banish humans back to their own world, and they bind six royal humans to six royals from Therra (each of a different race), and the blood tie between takes physical form in the form of bloodstones. 

Through a ritual and magic that I’m not going to go into detail here and is slowly revealed throughout the course of the books, the veil between worlds is closed, the royal families and nobles of humans on our side. There are still humans in Therra, but they don’t have any power or authority. The six races of Therra slowly spread out and fill in the gaps left by the human kingdoms, and they thrive under the blood pact that binds them all in a tremulous peace. Every so many years, the pact must be renewed. The only way to do so, however, is to get a descendant from each of the six human families who were bound by the bloodstones. 

So the story starts off with six unsuspecting humans suddenly ripped away from their own lives and falling into the strange new world of Therra. They’re all confused, scared, and intrigued, each with nothing but the clothes on their backs, half a stone, and an ominous note written in blood. Each of them must figure out how to navigate through the world and complete the quest they never asked to be part of. They struggle with learning who to trust and what to believe, all the while figuring out what they themselves want. Tricky, when everyone seems to have a hidden agenda, for they who control the stoneholders controls the political power in Therra. Through each of their journeys, we get to explore Therra and the six races, and... yeah xD It’s p complicated, but a lot of it is revealed throughout the course of the story ^^ I’m v proud of the work I’ve put into it. I’ve been working on it for several years now. 

THE SECOND is an online illustrated novel I’m planning and working on with my favorite artist, collab partner, and platonic othe rhalf @wolfpainters. It takes place in a land called Arthoria (which is what we’re tentatively calling this project bc we dont’ have an official title yet). Arthoria is a land where dragons live side by side with humans. Most people are given dragons around the age of puberty, and they bond with those dragons for life. Dragons are an essential part of life, from status symbols, to pets, to labor help. There’s a market for dragon breeders, and a black market for selling stolen eggs. There are five tiers of dragons, Tier 1 being the most powerful and reserved for royals and high nobles, all the way down to Tier 5, being magic-less, small dragons that serve more as family pets. 

Arthoria is split into four clans, each with their own government, royal family, culture, dragon types, styles, landscapes (we’ve honestly put so much work into this stuff, I love it, each clan is so distinctly different). The clans have a tentative peace, but they’re highly intolerant of each other. They trade because they need to. Between the four clans, in the center of the continent, is a place known only as The Medium. The Medium is run rampant with wild foliage, wild dragons and animals, and ruins. It’s only recently become passable, previously being completely inhospitable from magic fallout from the Great War. 

The Great War was the most impactful event in Arthoria’s history (I wrote up an entire timeline of arthoria’s history, all the way back to it’s settlement, I swear, there is so much detail in this world). Arthoria was founded with five clans, Celadian being the center and ruling clan. After centuries, the four other clans grew petulant and arrogant, convinced they didn’t need to be under the power of Celadian. The Great War came at a high cost: the Celadian High Priestess set off a chain reaction that caused a magical explosion that decimated the entire clan and all the land around it, even scorching some of the other clan’s outer territories. This land became The Medium, and was left alone to grow back wild and untamed for centuries. Even now it’s an eery place that people are wary to tread through, swearing they can hear the ghosts of the fallen in the ruins. 

What the clans didn’t realize, or what they had forgotten in the millennia that passed since the clans founding (I have stories about the first clan leaders and how they founded each clan too), was that the Celadian priestesses they hated being ruled by served a very important function: they kept at bay the Shades, an ancient enemy that had originally driven their people to Arthoria’s shores from their homeland. Without the priestesses to keep the seal in order, the Shades have slowly been withering away at the ancient magic. 

One thousand years after the Great War, the High Priestess’s disciple awakens from a dormant slumber that had been forced upon her by her mentor prior to the explosion that ended the war. 

This is the setting, and the story is very much a character driven plot that follows our ten main characters as they each get dragged into the quest to reseal the Shades and save Arthoria, meanwhile figuring out themselves and fighting the prejudices that keep the clans apart. 

We have so much world building complete for this, and there’s still a ways to go, but we have SO. MUCH. I love each and every one of our characters. They’re so wonderful and diverse and each serve an important function. Once we have everything prepared, we can start with the story. I’ll be writing it, and Sora will be illustrating it, much like our current fanfics. We were actually working on this all last summer prior to getting into voltron, and we’ve been using our fanfic collabs as testing ground for this original project.
