here's all the classic sonic stuff I've been doing in the past few months, with text explaining where each character is taken from

one of the best parts about making edits is getting to see everythign play out really slowly, and since animation is so very purposeful, for everything that moves has a reason for it, it's really fun to see the bits that go by too fast to notice naturally. one of these bits that i will never be over is definitely the bow

i firmly believe sonic is bowing here, when he first meets elise, since she is a princess and despite not caring much about this kind of stuff, i do still think that's what he's doing here. he gets up quickly, making the "haha ha one" pose right after but it's not like he couldn't have come in already in the pose, why use THIS pose especifically as a "rest" you know? they took the time to make him do this, i think it's because he's really bowing, it's just a bit fast (as is everything he does lol)

it's also interesting to me to see both sonic and eggman bow in the same way, except in completely opposite directions. at the first second eggman is on screen he is already bowed, that's how he first shows up

meanwhile sonic, of course, shows up on the move destroying everything, despite making eye contact with elise first. i think this could actually be viewed as how they see her? sonic meets her eye to eye first, and only bows later, after blowing up most of the bots, like he sees her first and the princess thing second, which matches how she feels seen by him too. while eggman is bowed even before he's on screen, showing how he sees her as a princess, and as his way to get what he wants, only after lifting to really look at her.

Solving various puzzles throughout Sonic 06 (one of the main focuses of his gameplay)

Using his Teleport Dash to sneak past Soleanna Guards

Overcoming the Test of Memory

Figuring out how to revive Sonic with the power of Elise and the Chaos Emeralds in the Final Episode of Sonic 06

Seeing through Eggman Nega’s disguise in Sonic Rivals 1 & 2 (which he is noted to be very perceptive for)

Turning his fight with Sonic into a race to collect Chao in order to advance his goals (which shows on the fly thinking)

Getting the Chao in the audience to act as look outs which leads to the discovery of Zavok in Team Sonic Racing

Prodding through and exposing Eggman’s plans in Team Sonic Racing

Despite his reckless and emotional nature Silver is not a total brute and has shown to be quite intuitive and even crafty throughout the series.

One thing I find funny about this is that Eggman talks like they all know who Mephiles is. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles saw Mephiles for a short time when they were sent to Silver's future, but then proceeded to forget about him altogether and didn't even find out his name. Meanwhile, Amy didn't encounter Mephiles at all.

Eggman might have told Elise about Mephiles when she was trapped on the Egg Carrier, and Sonic's spirit is lingering around during this moment so he probably now knows Mephiles is the one who killed him, but Amy, Tails, and Knuckles must be like "who?"

The Master Emerald has also been referred to as "The Weed Gem".

Knuckles is probably the only member of the Sonic team to smoke weed.
